The day of Suzume's first blind date had finally arrived and the person she met was Naoki Ito! During their walk to the restaurant, Suzume tried to engage in his conversations and asked questions about him. Naoki was happy to be given this much attention and felt attached to Suzume already. "He's a bit clingy..." Suzume said in her head then she heard a girl giggle behind them "Otosan?" His kids were there.

She had no idea what was happening to Naoki's marriage, but his kids seemed cheerful about both their parents and she got the impression he was happily married. In the nicest way possible she said it was best to end the date and stay friends (really she wanted to get out of there). And that was how the blind date was over before it even started 🫣

When Level 1 Logic (at best) collides with Level 5 Logic.

DOM: *no don't do that oh yes please do that...* Checkmate!

DOM: *makes joke about adults* DOM: ... But not you, right? You're not some crusty 70 year old. You're cool. LILITH: *not letting on that she's about 120 years old* Mmhmm...

This datetime conversation between Dom and Kiyoshi.

DOM: Wait, you have to get up how early for training? How are you not like tripping out on Henford-on-Bagley shrooms and running around with Agnes Crumplebottom's purse as a hat right now? How are you so normal? KIYOSHI: Why thank you, Dom. Being called 'normal' is the nicest thing that anyone has ever said about me. DOM:... Okay, I didn't mean you were 'normal' as in boring. I just meant that it's amazing how stable you are. In fact, now you're extra intriguing. I'm determined to stick around because if you're really some Miss Hell type serial unaliver right now, I'll be the first to break that story. KIYOSHI: Dead investigative reporters tell no tales. DOM: Bro, I'm so good that I'd know you're a serial unaliver before you know that you're a serial unaliver...

Then she autonomously ASKED ABOUT WOO HOO. I kid you not. This Watcher didn't even know that teens could run that interaction with other teens! I'm not putting the screenie here as it's tiny but I have the receipt if needed xD

He appeared so unphased about it too, while Dom contrarily looks like she learned something new. Headcanoning Kiyoshi as the more experienced one now.

Guys, why are we on the move? Is this related to the WOO HOO talk from earlier? A practical demonstration, maybe? You're still teens - the Watcher doesn't have that mod installed.

"Ah, so this is woo hoo..." (I'm kidding guys - it was probably just some funny viral video. Or Dom asked if he had any clips of him snowboarding or something)

Thought that we were free of in-game Watchers this time around but look who's seated at the table behind them...

And finally, the feeling when the [undefined relationship] invites you to hang at his place only you meet his mom. (The animation was only because Megumi is a three star celebrity so Dom can't talk to her properly. But I like to think that Dom was internally flailing.)

Guess what, it's Zoe's birthday! Yes, everyone else's birthdays have passed, this was the only one we were missing.

Allan prepared several cakes for her, since, after trying various flavors, neither of the two could decide which was better. If anything will abound in this celebration are cakes!

Zoe made sure that no one at home forgot about her. Zoe: Hello, today is my birthday, you better get your presents ready! Allan kept quiet, of course he has Zoe's present already, he bought it just a few weeks ago, but he can't say anything yet, it will be a surprise.

Many guests have arrived, including Supriya, Octavia, Candy, Fabian, Sergio, Nina, Naoki and even Mortimer. What a great party!

The birthday girl is already on her second slice of cake, the diet has been called off for the day! But - What is Supriya doing, is she smoking? Zoe: Oh, no Sup, no smoking in this house.

Allan: Remember the house we saw in Del Sol Valley that you fell in love with right away? Zoe: That huge house on the hill, with a big pool and a garden overlooking the city? Allan: The same one.

Zoe: Oh, Al, did you…? Allan: Yes, I bought it for you. It's yours now. Happy birthday, my love!

Allan: I wish you the happiest birthday. Zoe: Oh, thank you, honey. Allan: I love you. Zoe: And I love you, Al.

I had plans to play a save that focused on Mt. Komorebi but then Cottage Living came out, and welp! Anyways upon doing some research I find the Ito family and their potential drama with the Akiyamas to be fascinating. BEHOLD. Naoki: Money-hungry business bro who is too up his ass trying to ruin his wife’s hometown to realize she’s probably gonna end up having an affair with her high school ex. No matter how that goes, they’re going to end up divorcing, probably. I can see him with Bess Sterling, they seem to have a bunch in common. Megumi: Skiing is clearly her thing, but she also wants to get more into rock-climbing and traveling more of the world and less into making money, which has her at odds with her husband. Add that and her ex-boyfriend came back to town, and you got yourself a divorce a-brewin’! She’s pretty checked out of her family at the moment. Kiyoshi: Dude just wants to board on some slopes and makeout with his crush, Kaori. Nanami: Can I just say that I love that this child is a kleptomaniac? It makes the family dynamics so much easier! She has a “strict” dynamic with both of her parents so she’s probably constantly getting yelled at for always getting into trouble. Kinda wanna play with this family at some point and just let her prank her family to madness.

Townie Makeovers 6 of 6

Okay, for the last makeover I put worlds/packs that shipped with townies onto WheelDecide, and it gave me Mt Komorebi.

Then I put all teen - elder townies from that world on the wheel, and the Sim to make over was:

Naoki Ito.

I honestly haven't done much of anything with the Mt Komorebi Sims before, so he was a definite change.

Back in the main universe, I decided to do an impromptu wedding for Piper’s cousin Hinata and her fiancée Nanami. They met as kids when Hinata, her moms, and her brother Izumi moved from Evergreen Harbor back to Japan to be closer to Hinata’s great-grandma Aya. Hinata and Nanami started dating in their teens and were going pretty strong until I found out that my game deleted Nanami and her family so I had to redownload them and give them a makeover. Now Hinata and Nanami are young adults (21) and getting married after having finished university.

I had the whole family go to club calico lounge and start the wedding ceremony. I invited Hinata’s moms, siblings, auntie Mizuki, grandparents on both sides, Nanami’s parents, her brother, and her maid of honor/her and Hinata’s friend Miki Akiyama. It was so last minute that I decided to just have fun and let whatever happen, like if sims wanted to dance to spooky music in their swimwear while eating a hot dog, let them. 😄

Nanami checks in with her parents while Hinata greets both sets of grandparents. “Nooboo, are you sure you want to move to Evergreen Harbor? You and Hinata could always move in with us.” Her dad Naoki says. “Yes, I’m sure dad. Hina was born and raised in Evergreen Harbor til she moved to Mt. Komorebi, and she says it’s great and we can raise our future kids there when we’re ready to have them. Plus, I’ll visit you and mom as much as I can.” Nanami says, smiling. “We’ll miss you so much.” Megumi adds, and Nanami blinks backs tears, trying not to smudge the makeup her mom-in-law Juliet helped her do earlier. Naoki nods, blinking back tears as well, and he and Megumi hug their youngest nooboo.

Nanami didn’t always have the best relationship with her parents. Growing up, her mom was a former champion skier and her dad was a well known businessman who cared more about making a lot of money than his family, and since Nanami had gotten some of her mom’s talents and skills, they had pushed her to pursue the same path. Nanami didn’t mind at first because she loved skiiing for fun and thought her mom was so cool when she skied, but she started to hate the rigorous competition and training and getting up early. At a certain age, she started to rebel and act out in small ways that ended up escalating when she would swipe items from places, although it got better when she met a new girl who moved to Mt. Komorebi named Hinata, who called her out on it and asked her why she’d do that. Nanami had confided in her and they’d bonded and became friends, plus Hinata’s moms had become like moms to her too over the years, they were firm but caring and always checked in on her. In her teens, she and her brother Kiyoshi had opened up to their parents after a massive fight Kiyoshi had with them, saying that he and Nanami weren’t like them, and neither of them wanted to be, and Nanami had taken his side. Naoki and Megumi had felt so ashamed when they realized how miserable their kids were, and vowed to do better by them, with Naoki admitting he hadn’t been a good father or husband, and Megumi adding she hadn’t been perfect either, by trying to make the kids like her as well. Slowly, the four of them rebuilt their relationship, and now they’re close knit.

Also since this is chaotic anyway, here’s a photo of me trying to choose a wedding arch. 😅😄
