Tattoos/Scars: No tattoos, but they are covered in a lot of scar tissue. A lot of it is actually prominently displayed on their face; decorating their cheeks, cutting over one eye, and removing some of their lip to expose a bit of teeth. Their body has a number of scars earned through years of combat before their first death, plus torture marks clustered over their back.

Thanks @existentialcrisistime for the tag! I actually don’t really have an active wip since I’m currently posting Blue Dawn Over the Plains, but here’s something I did an edit of last night so you get a paragraph:

Six hours before, I’d pulled over to the side of the road and stumbled out, barely out of home and ready to turn back and admit I’d made a mistake. I lay down in the sand and grit, the roar of the highway at my feet and traced the open scars of airplanes across the sky.  It had been so long since I'd been entirely aware of my body, but there in the ground I suddenly remembered it.

OK. really i've been looping all of the sleep token albums (they make me unwell. and also i'm seeing them live next month). i feel like there are a few more standout tracks on their other albums, but there's something about blood sport. the anguish? the pain? the stripped from the room below ver.?? GOD!!!!!

in my dreams - siopaolo (first class). this whole EP is so dreamy... it's hard to pick one, but this one is really nice to vibe to.

reanimation - linkin park (frgt/10). THIS! FUCKING ALBUM!! we play it every time we drive long distances, so lots of memories of trying to belt fucked up vocal warble. imagine 2 sleep-deprived clowns trying to sing 2:41 - 2:59 of this song

rakshak - bloodywood (BSDK.exe). i think this is the least popular track on this album, but it REALLY scratches my brain. this entire album FUCKS though - listened to it a lot when i was pushing through the rest of my manuscript. cathartic. love folk metal.

sexero - apon (gymni). i can't explain this one.

last song i listened to: 💿 parisian enclave by the mountain goats. first time listening and i really like the melody (which reminds me of something else i've heard but can't place).

three ships: 🤍 i have no idea what the criteria for this are supposed to be but lately i've been thinking a lot about adansey and bluedam (is that what we call them?) because we're reading the raven boys for the book club right now. i'm also thinking about re-reading check, please! soon so i'll say nurseydex.

currently reading: 📖 i'm reading hell bent by leigh bardugo (really good so far) and a world on the wing by scott weidensaul (nonfiction about bird migration, also really good but slow to get through). other than that i'm always somewhere in les miserables and the raven cycle/the dreamer trilogy.

last movie i watched: 🎬 juno (although i haven't finished it yet because my attention span has been nonexistent).
