Hi so ummm. My first like… fanfic????? It's about Astral… I don’t Know what it really is but…. Hiiiiiiii….

The lake lapped at his feet. It wanted more of him.

Everything does.

They gaze out at the setting sun, miles away from the city as he always is. No distractions or the fawning of fool citizens or admiring idiots blinded by their ideal of him. Astral.

He steps further into the lake, its coldness is a mockery of the numb void or the tight stasis he uses. His fingers shake. The stasis stuck to his hands from such rigorous use…clinks like wine glasses. A subtle difference from the noises his jewellery and chains, embedded into his skin, sounds like. An annoying difference that has more than once sent them off the edge.

The water covers his breasts now. The sun is burning on his eye, and their prosthesis is boiling within his skull, such direct and continuous sunlight searing its heat to his bone.

He remembers when the sun's heat was welcomed… at the darkest storms of the Iron Temple. He can recall the nights spent alongside Osiris, practising their light. The sun's heat was far greater in those days, Astral should have cherished it more. Now it is a blister that refuses to heal (if only because they keeps picking at it.)

The lake engulfs them. The silence is like a balm. He finally turns away from the sun and instead looks down at his wrists. Covered in purple ribbons. A very specific purple.

They still remember that day as well. Fallen had attacked the fledgling city and the Speaker had been cornered. The fool. He saved him.

Twas hardly a note-worthy task but Saint-14 had deemed it differently. The ribbons were to show his gratitude, just as the hundreds of flightless had done for him. Though instead, they were wearing their ribbons proudly as saint-14 had done with his, Astral used them to hide a… secret.

Their chest hurts from the lack of Oxygen. Many other guardians struggled to get past it when they attempted thanonatics. He died choking out into the dead of space from his first resurrection. This is… like a babes swaddle for them. Comforting. Limiting.

He sinks deeper. He looks back to the sun but it's naught but a dying spark. He raises his hands to touch it. The ribbons have lost their colour.

He sinks.

The lake is greedy.

Five people walk into the room, all of them wearing confusion on their faces.

"Atlas, Faire what is the meaning of this?" Osiris asks

Atlas looks at Faire who makes a face but takes a step back.

"We're both tired with how you five are acting and the way that things have been." Atlas replies

Saladin steps forward and asks. "What do you mean?"

"You five know damn well what we mean!" Faire snarls

Atlas places a hand on his friend's shoulder then looks at the five in front of him again. "First off Saladin you have to stop acting like a complete asshole towards everyone who doesn't want to act like this is the Dark Age, yes us younger Guardians are well aware what you guys went through back then but we demand that you respect our decisions with handling Caiatl and the Eliskni on Europa." Atlas answers

Saladin's eyes go wide, he opens his mouth to say something but closes it when Faire gives him a look.

"Zavala, Ikora will you two fucking get over yourselves already, Cayde would hate how distant you two are being with each other. Yes we understand you two loved him in your own way but he's been dead for almost four years now and you're both not moving on." Atlas looks at his Vanguard. "Zavala, you're acting like you're the only one who got hit with grief," he looks at Ikora. "Ikora I know you got Osiris back then suddenly lost Cayde but you have made zero effort with talking to Zavala, yes I understand he didn't want to avenge Cayde and how you talked to him was cruel. We just got out of a devastating war with the Red Legion where many helpless Guardians were slaughtered, he wasn't a coward for not going after Uldren because we couldn't afford losing more Guardians and you know damn well Cayde wouldn't want that."

Ikora's jaw is opened in shock while Zavala stands there quietly.

Faire snaps her head to Osiris. "As for you I'm sick of you being a fucking toxic boyfriend to Saint. Atlas went through time just to get him back for you and you've done nothing but be emotionally distant from him. Did you ever once stop to think about Saint's feelings, he loves you so much and you know it yet you still treat him like shit."

"I will not be talked to like this!" Osiris snaps

Faire grabs his arm and freezes his feet to the ground with Stasis. "Get fucking over it because we've given you time, I understand you've been hurt by Saint not objecting the Speaker's decision to exile you but that was a very long time ago and you need to get over it already.

You obviously love Saint but refuse to show it other than notes in his ship which are fucking half assed, like fucking walk your sorry ass across the Tower and talk to your boyfriend who is very worried about you. Stop fucking running away every time he wants you to talk, I get that if you stop and talked then you can't run away from what happened but that's a shitty coping mechanism."

Atlas looks at Saint. "You're not in the clear either, you need to know when to intervene in Osiris's reckless behavior. You can't stand by and hope Osiris will talk because you know he won't, especially now that Sagira is gone." He tells the exo

Saint nods but doesn't reply.

Faire snaps her fingers and the ice holding Osiris breaks. "If none of you start changing your attitudes then us younger Guardians will take over until you do. Also I will take Saint until you fucking behave Osiris." She says

Atlas and Faire walk out of the room leaving the five stunned.

"What just happened?" Saladin asks

"I believe this is the younger Guardians being tired of us and I can't disagree with them," Ikora replies with shame written across her face.

The five look at each other then break up. Osiris and Saint walk to a corner of the room while Zavala and Ikora do the same, Saladin walks out of the room to let the other four talk but he does think about what has been said to him.

So it varies depending on the setting of the story, (Fanfic, or Roleplay), but all-in-all it starts out as Ruxiz becoming a pupil to both of them. In most incarnations, Ruxiz approaches them for aid in training his Light and/or his combat abilities. The start of their relationship began slowly, starting as a simple mentor/student relationship, then adjusting into a friendship as he spends late nights in their apartment with Osiris' studies and having dinner with them when Saint is home to cook for them. Ruxiz would often sleep on their couch when he passed out mid-lecture, or would wake up early in the morning to tidy their home and Osiris' work-place to get ready for the day's lesson. The moment things delved into a more intimate feelings was when things go tricky, depending on the story, the relationship would either progress smoothly or have more hiccups in the road either due to their different positions or something standing in the way. Ruxiz was the first to admit romantic feelings, he brought it up during one of their group training sessions which ended quickly as he was called to the aid of another Guardian. Saint and Osiris discussed it between themselves and eventually invited the hunter into their relationship.

For the most part, they have a very healthy polycule dynamic, Ruxiz who typically doesn't experience jealousy adjusted easily to the dynamic, especially since he was previously in a polycule with his fireteam. Though Ruxiz had trouble adjusting, they progresses slowly over the course of a few months until it became normal for Ruxiz to spend days at a time in their apartment sharing quick affections with them when they had the time. With most relationships there were some hiccups, with the cult storyline Osiris snapped at Ruxiz at one point and said something he shouldn't have. But Saint always brings them together, or they find ways to apologize to each other in their own time. It took Ruxiz a while to learn how to live around Saint and Osiris, being younger and more energetic, and used to PDA he had to adjust to Osiris' reservations and Saint's as well. Likewise they had to adjust to Ruxiz who had strange habits, but with some trial-and-error they formed a routine around each other and eventually would make their relationship a little bit more 'public'. Typically among co-workers for transparency.

While I do write their relationship to be very mutually respectful and loving, there's always the chaos in that Ruxiz is just the feral animal they drag around by a leash like. Saint: "He don't bite" Zavala: "YES HE DO-" Osiris: "He don't bite.." Ruxiz: "GHGHGGEWFEJWJHBHJ"

What if I gave Rui x O14 a child, What if--

I would ASSUME adoption, mostly because Guardians (I think) are infertile and even surrogacy probably wouldn't be an option, for biological children at least.

I just wanna know like who they would adopt, would they adopt an older child, a younger one to experience their life with them, etc, etc. This is like post-canon when the world isn't falling apart and they can actually have a mostly normal life, I just want a reason to draw some more domestic pieces :') Opinions, GIVE EM

LMAOO, damn Osiris and his crinkly old feathers😒😒😒 --

Ruxiz approaches Osiris on Neomuna, though any other day he'd be here to be loud, to come up with absurd theories and battle plans with whoever would give him the time of day, or just to play near the pouka pond without really going near it. But today it was a simple trip with a single goal, though of course he could have gone to Saint or really anyone, he just needed a hug from Osiris. Osiris, in all his prickliness, wasn't very physically affetionate, but when Ruxiz strides in quickly and B-lines for the little area he'd set himself up, a look of resignation on his face, he opens his arms and drags the Awoken in.

The Hunter hugs the Ex-Warlock tightly, and leans in with a disgruntled sigh, resting his nose into the feathers of Osiris' cowl and nuzzling in as he'd usually do. Though, it seems fate had it out for him as his affectionate nuzzles loosens the feathery ruff of the warlock's prestigious cowl. When he inhale deep through his mouth, he, unluckily, took the loose crinkled feather with him and almost immediately jolted back in a fit of coughs and hacking. "...What-" It admittedly takes Osiris a good second to realize what had happened, rushing to the choking Guardian's side and giving him a firm whack between the shoulder blades. Ruxiz coughs, gagging with a violent noise of distress before a single, saliva covered feather, drops the floor with very little grace. Ruxiz stares. Osiris also stares, slanting his eyes slightly and glancing to the Hunter's face who sheepishly stands upright to brush himself off and grin at the warlock. "Tasted kind of like sand." "You almost choked to death, Ruxiz." Ruxiz blows out some air in a huff and crosses his arms, leaning back to squint at Osiris. "Yeah, on your feather, if I had known any better I'd assume that was attempted murder." Osiris gives him a look, he glances away, rocking on the balls of his feet. Eventually, in as innocent of a look as he could give as a Hunter, he peer back at the Warlock. "...Can I still have the hug?"

Some more Awoken OC artwork, made myself a new profile picture of Ruxiz after (thieving) borrowing Osiris' headpiece. Ruxiz doesn't quite understand Festival of the Lost (headpiece). He's trying his best. Bonus meme because I saw it and found it really funny

It's fitting for them, especially because lately Tumblr's beome the only place I can like safely post this polycule pairing without ridicule. What makes their stomach turn?

Literally, any food he hasn't tried before (which is almost everything! Picky eater here!) metaphorically, The Cult Of Osiris, he and Osiris were very close even before the city was there, and so hearing about those idiots that turned his research into some divine message icks him out.

When he's capable of contacting Osiris he does his best to ask about his book and speak about it as it is, a book of his research/ prophecies, to try and show Osiris that he understands him. It's one of the things Astral does to people he loves that they don't realise unless they too love him, ya know?

Is sex something that they’re comfortable speaking about? To whom?

If it's purely biologically speaking, yes, but should it go into the more societal viewpoint of sex, then he is quick to either leave or stay out of the conversation. He is willing to speak about sex with a romantic partner only, if only to set boundaries. (astral is asexual, but not necessarily sex REPULSED but rather just nervous with the prospect if that makes sense)

What inspired you to create them?

Okay so, the personality kinda came from me wanting to have a guardian that's smart and powerful like Osiris, as he is my favourite character, I even loved CoO just because of him! Then I kinda got into the whole Oc X Canon and I just love the idea of the three (Astral x O14) being together andddd yeah?

I just wish I could actually write so that I can make IN CHARACTER stuff about o14 because I cannot get into their heads at all!! Despite the fact that I read fanfics and can be like ‘SAINT WOULD NOT SAY THAT!?’ its so annoying lmfao
