Johnathan Emir Shepard (Emir) Earthborn/Sole Survivor Soldier, romances Steve Cortez Destroy / Paragon b. 2145; 6' (182 cm)
Vivian Aurelia Shepard Colonist/Sole Survivor Engineer, romances Ashley Williams Destroy/Paragade b. 2156; 5'09" (176cm)
Sybil Helena Shepard Earthborn & Spacer/War Hero & Ruthless Vanguard, romances Miranda Lawson Control/Renegade b. 2142; 5'09" (176 cm)
Vincent Nathan Shepard-Figueroa (Vince) Spacer/War Hero Engineer, romances Kaidan Alenko Destroy/Renegon b.2156, 5'07" (170 cm)
Jeanne-Marie Veronica Shepard (Jeanne) Spacer/Sole Survivor Sentinel, romances Samantha Traynor Destroy/Paragon b. 2154, 5'11" (180cm)
Emily Rose Shepard Earthborn/War Hero Infiltrator, romances Tali'Zorah vas Normandy Destroy/Paragade b. 2154, 5'03" (160 cm)
Ezra Saffron Shepard Earthborn/Ruthless Soldier, romances Ashley Williams Destroy/Renegon b. 2154, 5'03" (160 cm)
Caleb Morgan Shepard Earthborn/ Ruthless Infiltrator, romances Kaidan Alenko Destroy/Renegon b. 2154, 5'03" (160cm)
(Ezra and Caleb are twins, so they exist in the same universe, and their canon is slightly changed; such as their being no 'Virmire survivor' bc they both survive)
Sybil and Emir are older Sheps, and Sybil has the duo origin bc she's born on Earth, but has parents (like the Spacer background). She's also dual-psych profile.
Sybil and Jeanne also both have missing limbs, though Jeanne uses prosthetics (her legs, knee down), Sybil uses biotics instead.

Alright it’s Jeanne Time Go White Woman Go
OC Page: Jeanne
Pronouns: She/Her
Types: Poison/Dark/Fire/Dragon
Ending: Self-Rule
First on the list of disaster women in Tellius is Jeanne! And before I get into her full backstory, I just remembered something else I forgot to tell you that these characters all have in common: the school they all went to was a military academy. This affects some relationships the MC has in canon with other characters (namely two childhood friends, Alanah and North, who serve as allies and rivals) but it also serves to color their interactions and backstory a bit.
Anyway, Jeanne is a trans lesbian anarchist who found out two of those three things at the academy, but she only really shared them with Taylor, who had secrets of her own, and the two bonded over shared understanding and Taylor’s grand scheme to reform the country from within. When the first Royale uprising happened, Jeanne and Taylor both were made to flee the country by their parents, along with Alanah, while North stayed behind. Notably, Jeanne and Taylor/Alanah went to separate countries. While away, Jeanne transitioned and ran into leftist writing, and was dazzled by ideas of how to make Literally Everything Better. Unfortunately, when she excitedly went to call Taylor and tell her what she’d learned, the other girl was…less than receptive. The initial shock of the ensuing argument, coupled with Jeanne’s short temper and Taylor’s black-and-white worldview, caused one disagreement to bloom into many, and by the time they returned to Tellius (the start of the canon game) they’ve become outright enemies.
However, Jeanne still isn’t publicly anti-council, so Taylor hasn’t publicly moved against her yet; Taylor just considers Jeanne as another opponent in her 5d pokechess. Jeanne, for her part, was never that good at subtlety, and is really frustrated at her inability to get through to her former friend. If Taylor would just stop trying to be ten steps ahead of eleven different enemies, if she could just see how much better things could be, if she would just listen…
But that’s not likely to happen at this point. Maybe they could make up…but it’s more likely they’ll keep making each other worse until they go down together, hand in unloveable hand.
In the meantime, Jeanne just tries to tell the truth (except to cops) and do right by people. Given the kind of game Empire is, this means she has few to no friends and bad things happen anyway. She’s starting to get bitter about it.
Oh and as a first run oc, she has no naming scheme.
Well, after that fucking depressing bio, let’s get into the gameplay!
A Word on Smog
Strengthened: Special Fire, Dark, and Poison moves (x1.3)
           Weakened: Special Fairy moves (x0.8)
Passive Damage: On all except Steel, Poison, Smog abilities, and Overcoat/Magic Guard
           Abilities Activated:
                       Stench: x1.5 damage dealt
                       Chainsmoker: +2 speed
                       Bogged Down: x0.66 damage taken
Toxic Boost, Poison Heal: As though poisoned
                       Noxious Fumes: Sets Smog
Moves activated: Desolation: 115 bp 30% poison, Perfect accuracy in Smog, as Thunder
For Jeanne’s own interpretation of this strategy, she favors leading with defensive walls (after smog is up) like Whiscash (who has bogged down) and Amoongus (who also has it, but still uses regenerator because c’mon. Regenerator.) along with new Fire/Dragon Poison Heal mon Chemera, wearing down all offensive momentum with status, forced switches, and raw defense, until one of her sweepers like Zangoose, Drifblim (chainsmoker, weather ball), and Charizard (Omegabuffed, gets most of the benefit of Mega X in base form).
Empire’s new sleep rules benefit this team, since it’s always two turns, Amoongus can always switch out on a successful Sleep Powder and guarantee a setup for a sweeper. And yeah I said Sleep Powder, Spore did not survive the journey to Tellius, unfortunately it’s 75% acc or nothing.
As you might have surmised, Jeanne’s become a pretty…Toxic person. While her urge to just drag everyone down around her definitely isn’t great, there’s still a part of her that wants to do good in the world, and that’s the part that keeps her moving forward…even when she maybe should probably stop. In fact, she’s going to be my only character to beat a particular optional boss in episode 4 (thanks to a bugfix making the strat impossible, who’s run I posted earlier, and I am taking all the obsession and frustration involved in beating six optimized level 75s with a team not over 35 and giving it to her as a gift. Like Karkat.
However, among the many things Jeanne suffers through, chief among them is Empire fields turning off her goddamn weather. While reborn literally only does this for the champion battle, Empire does this with multiple fields across multiple episodes, not just for bosses but for enemy bases and other, stranger things. Therefore, Jeanne’s formulated a second whole strategy, one that’s just as defensive, just as frustrating, and can theoretically output amazing offense. It’s even another Empire-exclusive! It is…
Ruthless Terrain
           Type Boosted: Dragon (1.5x)
All PP usage +1 (note that all moves in Empire have their PP maxed)
           Whirlwind/Roar deal 20% of target’s max health
           Boomburst does half damage
Basically, this team revolves on setting Spikes, then using Whirlwind/roar spammers like Mandibuzz (Jeanne’s starter) to weaken the enemy team, then going for the win with boosted dragon moves, especially Twister, which now gains +20 base power per hazard you’re set, via the newly buffed Noivern. I won’t speak too much on it because it is a backup strat, but I think I can really ruin the dragon leader this way.
Also none of these strats work in other games, so she’s uh....mono poison? poison/dragon???? I’m running her as a realist-route poison mono in Deso and let me tell you the early game really got me that headspace. Don’t do deso mono poison trust me
In terms of appearance, Jeanne began life with dark hair but it has not stayed that way. Already a fan of punk before she left, her hair and outfit use deep purple and bright red tones similar to Eternatus, a legendary that shares two of her types! otherwise she wears practical if colorful clothing, including pants with plenty of pockets, black doc martens, and a jacket with plenty of pins and a draconic design on the back. Oh yeah, she also has a gasmask. It’s honestly kinda mandatory.
Overall, I hope this gives a good impression of what we’re working with here. I wish to stress that Jeanne is the nicest of my Empire OCs, so get frigging ready. Next time, we’ll be diving into Miss Capitalism herself, Taylor!

nostalgic breton girl’s oc masterpost
JULIANNE TRAVEN (Oblivion: Arch-Mage) Julianne excelled at the Arcane University; as a research student, and being the daughter of the Arch-Mage, she became deeply involved in the Necromancy Crisis, and was ultimately the one who killed Mannimarco. For this she earned her place on the Council of Mages, and later followed in her father’s footsteps. She also provided research assistance in the Oblivion Crisis; and was privately somewhat involved with the Thieves’ Guild. She is, for the most part, effervescent, optimistic, and rather on the eccentric side.
CORINNE TRAVEN (Oblivion: Champion of Cyrodiil) Julianne’s younger sister is a member of the Fighters’ Guild and the Imperial Watch who was selected to become a Blade, and who thus devoted her life to the Emperor. Unwavering and determined, she was among the finest of them, and it is she who was entrusted with the Amulet of Kings, and who found and assisted Martin. She is married to Caroline, one of her fellow Blades.
MARIANNE (Oblivion: Grey Fox) Marianne grew up in the Thieves’ Guild in Kvatch, and at length sought her fortune in the Imperial City, where she was called upon to assist in the heist of the age. Her intention has only ever been to help the underprivileged, and she later decided to devote herself to the Imperial Cult. She is married to Marcel (my OC) who works at the chapel in Skingrad. She is Julianne’s cousin, though she was unaware of this until later on, when the two met in the City.
LUNETTE (Morrowind: Nerevarine) Accidentally implicated in a plot to kill the Emperor, Lunette was sentenced to hard labour on Solstheim; and later sent away to Balmora to become the Empire’s Nerevarine. Her early life taught her not to trust anyone, made her play a sort of role; her time in Morrowind mellowed her a little, and while she continued her game of manipulation in House Hlaalu, she also got involved with the admirable work of the Bal Molagmer and the Twin Lamps. At length she found the strength to step down from her role-playing and face her real sentiments, - principal among which was her love for Ilmeni Dren.
JULIENNE (Skyrim: Dragonborn) Julienne grew up in Bruma, but decided to become a mercenary, and go over to Skyrim. It was there that she discovered she was Dragonborn, and despite her distinct lack of self-confidence and constant complaining, she defeated Alduin and earned eternal fame (which didn’t help her social anxiety much). She is married to Marcurio, with whom she travels as a mercenary duo, and with whom she bonded over a shared love of destruction magic (read: blowing stuff up).
TALVYNEA MORVEN (Skyrim: Imperial Legate) Talvynea grew up in Raven Rock, but moved to Skyrim to join the Legion; she served admirably during the Civil War, and was the one who personally killed Ulfric Stormcloak. She later returned to Solstheim, with Julienne this time, to assist in the Miraak affair. While she is an excellent and devoted soldier, her true profession is that of a blacksmith, and she hopes to take over from Glover Mallory one day.
AURÉLIE (ESO: Vestige) and J’ANKOR (travelling-companion). Aurelie is a scholar from the Mages’ Guild who can be a little careless and a little too trusting, which is how she had this whole affair thrust upon her. J’ankor is an Alfiq who can read things by sleeping on them, like Azincourt from the Paris des Merveilles series. His name is also pronounced a bit like Azincourt -- you know what, never mind.
(minor ocs under the cut)
JEANNE RENAULT (Daggerfall: Agent) In-game escapades and backstory to be confirmed. If you recognise the name, it is because she is the future Captain Renault of the Blades, who died saving Uriel Septim from the Mythic Dawn.
HANNIBAL and MYRIAM TRAVEN. Hannibal Traven is not, of course, my OC; he is, however, the father of Julianne and Corinne, so I felt it was useful to include him. Myriam is his wife, a battlemage in the Anvil City Guard until the two moved to the City. In my headcanon Hannibal does not die, and stays on as Arch-Mage for several years more before being succeeded by his daughter.
AUGUSTINE TRAVEN. Hannibal Traven’s late brother, and part of the reason for Hannibal’s distrust of Necromancy: Augustine was corrupted by the dark arts, and ultimately lost to them, when the Anvil guard raided a den of necromancers in which he happened to be practising. He is also the father (by different mothers) of Marianne and Lunette.
GAIUS PRENTUS. Remember that guard who is sent to patrol the island with the Strange Door? He’s my OC now, and the one who ends up chosen as Sheogorath’s champion. I haven’t got much further than that, but his personality is quintessentially Imperial Guard and I thought it would be amusing.
TARA-LEI. Julianne’s best friend, and fellow-student at the Arcane University. Tara is mostly an alchemist, though a good all-rounder, and has charged herself with preventing Julianne from procrastinating too badly.
CAECILIA IUCUNDUS. A student of the University of Gwylim - later the Chancellor - who has a fondness for travelling, and most especially writing about her travels. She took on Jenette as a guide in the Jeralls, and ended up falling in love with her.
JENETTE. A Nord wanderer who lives in Bruma, participated in the retrieval of the Draconian Madstone, and has a shadowy past which might involve the Skaal.
MATHILDE. A Breton illusion-mage who attended the College of Winterhold for a while, but eventually got bored and decided to test out her knowledge in the real world, namely by joining the Dark Brotherhood and getting her targets killed by frenzying them, because that’s her idea of fun apparently
DEREK THE DREMORA. Honestly I do not know what he is doing here. He is a joke character who got out of hand
FABRICE. AU Dragonborn who chiefly features in my fic An Empire Fallen. Half-Nord, half-Breton who favours shortswords and stealth and a little bit of magic; or preferably not having to fight at all. Extremely naive, and with a tendency to sponteneity.
COURIER. The unnamed protagonist of The Formation of a Courier is a former Winterhold student now in the surprisingly magical business of postal delivery.
POSTMASTER. The Guildmaster of the Couriers' Guild is a strange sort of fellow with stranger facial hair who likes nothing in his life more than a good letter.

new breton girl time!
i’ve actually figured out how to play daggerfall, and a while ago i decided that my character was going to be the future captain renault, of the blades, who died defending uriel septim... the same uriel septim who, sixteen years previously, had employed her on a certain mission to the iliac bay as his agent
(i’m going to have to look again at the in-game backstory to develop that a bit)
