"One minute to showtime!" The stage manager called out. The brothers stretched and did their normal pre-concert routines, trying to limber up and get rid of the nerves that typically came with this type of gig. Chants of "BroZone! BroZone! BroZone!" could easily be heard backstage, sending each of them deeper into their nerves.
John Dory hummed in thought, mulling over their set list for tonight's performance. "Alright, guys. We're gonna open with 'Girl, Baby, Baby,' and end with 'Baby, Baby, Girl.' No, that doesn't sound right." The Leader paused, a better idea coming quickly. "Ooh! I got it! Open with 'Baby, Baby, Girl,' close with 'Baby, Baby, Girl, Woman!' Yes!" He threw his pencil at the sheet music and laughed to him in confidence. "We are going to make boyband history tonight."
Spruce was on the ground, grunting and groaning as he tried to get his abs rock hard and popping for tonight performance. "510. 511. 512," He said to himself.
"Love to see it, brother," John Dory said, making his way over to Spruce. "I'm wanna see a hundred more of those by showtime. Those abs need to poppin', baby!" He smiled, admiring his brother's abs and knowing all the praise they'd get from ladies just from a glimpse of those.
"God, I wanna boil an egg on those abs!" He said as he walked away from The Heartthrob.
"John Dory," Clay said, getting his brother's attention. "Do I really have to keep wearing these things?" He asked, gesturing to the slightly shiny underwear he was wearing.
"Yes, you do, Clay," John Dory said, going over to The Fun Boy. "They're funderdrawers. It's underwear, but 76% more fun!" He reasoned. "Now, let's see those dance moves, brother!"
"Fine," Clay said with a sigh. "Rusty Robot-" He started with a stiff, robotic dance. "Into Wiggle Worm-" He did a little body roll. "End on Caliente Puppet." He did a little walk like he was being moved by some strings. "Yeah!" He struck a funny little pose and stuck out his tounge. At least he was trying to have fun.
"Bro, you look stressed," Floyd said, stopping John Dory from walking away. "Breathe." He took a deep breath as to mimic what to do, smiling as he felt his nerves wash away.
"Well, of course I'm stressed, Floyd," he said mockingly. "It's the first show of the tour! We have to hit the perfect family harmony! We promised the fans!" He said with a little whine, gesturing to the stage.
"Ok, calm down. You're making Bitty B nervous," The Sensitive One said, gesturing to the littlest member of their group.
"What? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. She can't be nervous!" He said. "She has to be perfect! Ugh, I knew we shouldn't have let a girl into a boyband!"
"John, stop that," Floyd said. "It's her first show. Be patient." He walked away from and went to their baby sister's side. She was peeking out of the vine curtains, looking out nervously on the crowd.
"Hey, Bramble," Floyd said. "How you feeling?"
The girl turned around, messing with her pink onesie. "I feel like I'm gonna barf, pass out, and-"
"Pee your pants all at once?" Floyd guessed with a smile.
Bramble stared up in shock. "How'd you know?" She asked in a sweet little voice.
"Ah, you got the pre show jitters," Floyd said simply. "Completely normal. Everyone gets them." He smiled at his little sister. "You wanna know what I do when I get them?"
Bramble paused and began to think. "Barf, pass out, and pee your pants?"
Floyd let out a little chuckle. "I remember that I'm with my brothers, and that when we come together, there is nothing we can't do."
"But no one's ever hit the perfect family harmony before," Bramble said. "Is it true it can shatter diamonds?" She asked with a starstruck look.
"Yeah," Floyd said, smiling at her. "It's that powerful."
"Alright, boys. And Bramble," John said, cutting through their little conversation. "Just remember, no matter what you do, follow my lead." He pulled Bramble forward and quickly tied her hair into a ponytail, with a pink sparkly bow that was as big as her head.
"Or maybe," Floyd countered. "Let's just go out there and have fun together."
"It's just... So much pressure!" Clay said nervously, gulping as he gripped the vine curtain.
Bramble whined and pushed away from John, trying to take the bow out. "I don't wanna wear it!"
"Too bad! You're a girl and it makes you look cute!" John said firmly, forcing the ponytail and bow tighter. "Now keep the damn bow in." He rolled his eyes and shook his head, mumbling something about how much trouble girls caused.
"Ten seconds!" The stage manager called out.
"A-And what happens if we can't hit the harmony?" Spruce asked as he oiled up his abs.
"Oh, that's not an option," John Dory said, turning back to the group. "If we can't hit the perfect family harmony, we aren't perfect. And if we aren't perfect, we're nothing! Just follow my lead, and the harmony will happen," he insisted. "Let's bro!" John, Spruce, and Clay went on stage, leaving a whimpering Bramble and an upset Floyd behind.
"I don't wanna wear it..." Bramble whined. "I don't wanna be a girl. I wish I was a boy like you, Floyd..."
"I know. But it'll be ok." Floyd gave her a sad smile and loosened both the bow and ponytail. "I'll talk to John Dory before the next show. Just wear it for now. Just to make him happy." He put her glasses on and led her out as the bros were being introduced.
"Ladies and gentlemen, here they are!" The announcer called out. "The Heartthrob!"
Spruce swung out on stage and gave his signature smolder to the crowd, smiling as they cheered.
"The Fun Boy!"
Clay bounced on some mushrooms around the stage, jumping and flipping until he landed on stage and stuck a pose.
"The Sensitive One!"
Floyd flipped his hair and struck a pose as well, smiling at the crowd.
"The Leader!"
John's entrance, while dramatic, was simple. He rose to the stage and threw out his arms, taking up as much space as possible.
"And... The Baby!"
A spotlight shone down Bramble. She giggled and stuck out her tounge, holding up a peace sign to the crowd.
"Give it up for BroZone!"
The group came together at centre stage, all striking a pose as the music began to play.
"Oh there she goes!" They sang in unison.
"On the floor, let's do this. No more talking!" Spruce broke out of the formation and smiled. He opened his vest, watching as women (and some men) around the stage fainted at the sight of his abs.
"Did anybody notice?" It was Floyd's turn to break, heading to the front and turning up the charm.
"The energy just shifted when we dropped in." He gave a little smile, slowly walking back. "Ooh, let it drop in."
"Ooh, I don't flex but I might," Clay sang, busting out his best moves. "Groove about to take flight." Clay jumped out of the way, letting John take center stage.
"'Cause the night is young and the music's on, and we got love on sight." John smiled and moved out of the way, letting Bramble take the spotlight now.
Bramble gave a wide, toothy grin, looking out on the crowd as she sang and danced. "The sky was the limit! Now the stars where we're livin'! It's the vibe when we're in it! It'll blow your MIND!" She giggled and squealed as she heard people shouting "BITTY B!" She could barely believe it! She was finally singing and dancing with her brothers! As they went into the chorus, she noticed a glow surround her. Then it went around John, then her other three brothers. Oh my hair, was this the Perfect Family Harmony?!
"Ok. great!" John whispered. "It's working! Yes!" He rushed forward, heading to the front of the stage and gesturing for the bros to follow him. "C'mon, guys!"
Floyd gave a nervous look to the others, slowly following John.
"What's he doing?!" Clay asked in a whisper. "This isn't my choreo!" He followed John anyway, and so did Spruce.
Bramble watched them sadly. She didn't know what was going on. Floyd motioned for her to come forward, and she followed like a little puppy. She watched her brothers stack on top of each other one by one, and she was passed up to the top, standing on Clay's hand as she held the harmony with her brothers.
However, Bramble's tiny lungs couldn't hold the note for long, and her little legs quickly got tired. Her voice strained and her legs wobbled. The tower started to sway. She slipped off Clay's hand and the dirty socked feet of her onesie fell into Clay's open mouth. He stopped singing and spat, trying to get the taste off his tongue as he dropped Bramble. The tower quickly fell, and Floyd fell off the stage entirely, grabbing onto a nearby vine to try and regain his balance. John got up and was about to tear Spruce and Clay a new one, but he was knocked into a mushroom by Floyd swinging by on the vine. Through one tiny disaster after another, John Dory, Spruce, Clay, and Floyd had all been tied up in the lighting system by the vines.
Bramble watched, tears beginning to form. She stared out at the crowd, who was just as shocked as her.
A stage hand ran out, trying to damage control. "Ladies and gentlemen, please stand by!" She called out. "Uh, we're experiencing, uh, some stuff."
"Hey," John called out. "At least we didn't fall!" The vines snapped, and the four brothers face planted into the stage. ".....we fell."
Bramble just watched, tears starting to fall. Was this her fault? Maybe John Dory was right. Maybe they shouldn't have let a girl into the band...
Floyd stood up and dusted himself off, rushing over as soon as he saw her. "Hey, hey, it's ok, Bram," he said softly. "Let's just go home. We'll work everything out there."
▪︎□▪︎□▪︎□▪︎□▪︎
"See what happens when you don't follow my lead?!" John said as the brothers stormed into the pod. "Ugh, i knew we shouldn't have let Bramble join!"
"Dude, this is exactly what happens when we follow your lead!" Spruce said, following him deeper into the pod. "And stop picking on Bitty B! It wasn't her fault!"
"Oh, so it's my fault?" John asked sarcastically. "Is that what you're saying?" He sighed heavily. "I know we can reach the perfect family harmony!"
"What if we don't want to?" Spruce asked with a glare.
"Yeah, dude!" Clay cut in. "This used to be fun. Now it's all about bein' perfect," he said mockingly.
"You know what?" Spruce said, quickly coming to a revelation. "I'm done playing the heartthrob. My exquisitely chiseled rock hard abs and i quit." He ripped off the purple vest he was wearing, tearing it in half.
"I quit, too," Clay said. "And you can keep these." He pulled out his funderdrawers and threw them in John's face. "i'm more than just the fun one. I'm in a sad book club. Did you know that? A sad book club!" He said, trying to defend himself. "I'm going to find trolls who take me seriously."
John pulled the underwear off his face, slowly getting enraged. "Fine! I don't need this!" He started backing away from them. "I'm out. I'm done. I'm sorry." He grabbed a camping backpack and a grappling hook. "I'm gonna go hike the Neverglade Trail by myself, bro-lone." He shot the hook outside the window, listening to it hit and latch onto a branch. "Yeah, that's right. Bro-bro going solo. Yolo." He turned away from them and hopped out the window, calling out to them one last time. "Goodbye forever! Later, losers!"
Spruce and Clay watched with unimpressed look, deciding to go out the door like normal trolls. "Fine, I'm out of here," Clay said.
"Same here," Spruce said, leaving without another word.
"Guys, please," Floyd said, trying to make them stop. "C'mon..." He sighed, watching as they ignored him and went further from the pod.
"It's my fault," Bramble said, tears still running down her cheeks. "I ruined everything."
"No, no, Bramble," Floyd said, kneeling down in front of her. "This is not your fault." He sighed, trying to think of an explanation to satisfy his little sister. "We're not in sync. We've gone from boys to men, and now there's only one direction for us to go: the backstreets."
"But not you, Floyd," Bramble said. "You're not leaving, too."
"Not forever," he said. "I'll be back. I promise. But right now, I... I have to follow my heart. It's telling me that it's time to start a solo career."
"But what am I gonna do?" She asked, feeling the tears coming back. She was losing all her brothers left and right, and it was like they didn't even care.
"Bramble, you are gonna do the most important thing of all," Floyd said, looking around the pod. "You're gonna...take care of Grandma!" He smiled and gestured to Grandma Rosiepuff, shuffling a deck of cards at the table.
"C'mon, Bramble," she said in a sweet voice. "Let's play some rummy. But I won't let you win." She suddenly became serious. "Because I play for the money."
Bramble looked back at Floyd, looking a little scared.
"You might have to let her win. Occasionally," he said with a wink. "When you miss me, you can wear this." He took off his leafy vest and wrapped it around her. "It'll be like I'm right here with you."
"And when you come back we'll make our hideout," Bramble insisted, showing him a little drawing. It was the childish schematics of an underground bunker, with one room for each of them, and a drawing of all of them on a water slide in the bunker.
Floyd looked it over with a smile. "Definitely. Is that a ten story water slide?"
"Yeah, that's how we shower!" She giggled excitedly and bounced in place.
"Well, then we better keep this in a safe place." He folded it back up and put it in a pocket inside the vest. He reached out, giving her one last hug. When they pulled away, he smiled at her. "See you soon, Baby Bramble..." He really didn't want to leave. But there was no way in hell Grandma would let him take her. He got up and headed to the door, grabbing his guitar and looking back one last time.
Bramble looked so adorable, standing in the oversized vest, with the ribbon of her bow now undone and hanging loosely around her neck. She gave him a toothy grin and waved goodbye as he left. "Bye... See you later..." She called out.
"I know it's hard, Bramble," Grandma said. She got up and picked her up, holding her close. "But the boys fight like this all the time. They'll be back before the end of the month and you'll be back to your singing and dancing in no time."
"Promise?" Bramble asked sweetly.
"Promise," Rosiepuff said. "And that's a Grandma Promise, so you know it's good and true. How about I teach you how to play rummy?"
"Ok!"

Playing Favorites (part 2)
Here we go again! Another 4 TS2 premades that really strange my town! (I’ll see myself out.) Anyway, I have to preface this with saying that so far I’ve only played the 3 base game hoods and although I really enjoy PV and VV, I added them to Strangetown just recently, so I’m still getting acquainted with their casts. That’s why my Playing Favorites posts are so dominated with desert-dwellers - but I definitely plan on including more non-ST Sims once I got to play with them more!
And I also low-key love everybody in Strangetown.
TOP 15 TS2 Premades (according to my personal tastes somewhere in May 2021) (not in any particular order) (and I can’t guarantee I stop at 15 either)
Tank Grunt (Strangetown)
Tumblr media
Yes, I am one of them. I am a Tank Grunt apologist. Brace yourself!
Similarly to the Pleasant twins, I view Tank as a victim of his father (Buzz Grunt, the esteemed Strangetown's Worst Parent Award nominee). Of course, that's not to say he's innocent. He is absolutely guilty of bullying Ripp and Johnny and equally guilty of being a bigot. And, most importantly, totally guilty of casually wearing camo face-paint. (that he canonically gets tatooed on his face down the line, which is... its own kind of tragic.)
But that is exactly why I like him so much!
Let me elaborate.
Tank is a very multilayered character, albeit a bit cliché. He is very artistic a eager to always do his best, whether that is in school or home where he competes for his father's affection and approval. Buzz provides both of that but it always feels conditioned – if Tank was to stop getting A+, stop parroting his opinions, stop working out, stop following in his footsteps, would that go away? Even though the answer depends on your interpretation of Buzz and his levels of horrible, Tank definitely thinks so. Just take a look on how his father treats Ripp!
I read Tank as somebody who believes firmly in order and good but has a very twisted understanding of both given his militaristic and hyper-masculine upbringing. He has an enormous potential for character growth. Can he gain (psychological) independence of his father? Can he follow his dreams and become a dancer? Can he free himself of his father’s biases now that he’s out on his own? Can he mend his relationship with Ripp and Buck? (...or maybe even Johnny?) It makes him so fun to play.
Also, I think that it was indeed very cowardly of the developers not to set his gender preference as gay.
Conclusion: Tank is fun! (Although he would probably resent me for saying that.)
Tumblr media
Dina Caliente (Str- wait, Pleasantview)
Tumblr media
Finally someone who doesn't live in the desert! Both Nina and Dina are such interesting characters, with their connection to Bella’s disappearance, their alien bloodline and their opposing personalities and ambitions.
I feel like the sisters are often getting unjustly demonized. (or mixed up together, I’m looking at you, TS3 and TS4) They’re young, very attractive and in unconventional relationships, thus often labeled as predatory. They’re not.
Dina is a very nice Sim, with Nice points above the average and many Playful points and she tends to roll wants to start a family by the start of the game, although she is not a Family Sim. She’s actually a Fortune Sim, smart and business-oriented. She’s a widow who wants to remarry and has her sights set on the husband of her missing former sister-in-law.
I know that doesn’t make her sound that nice but there is nuance. First of all, the man in question is Mortimer Goth, well in his twilight years, a father of two, simply an adult. He is not a hapless trophy, the decision to start an affair with Dina not long after his first wife got pronounced missing, is his own. He knows he won’t be here for long and doesn’t want to die alone, he wants someone who can make him feel young again and loved once more. Dina, on the other hand, pursues a shotgun wedding to take an advantage of the Goth fortune that will kickstart her business ventures but she is ready to provide what Mortimer needs. She canonically loves him. (proven by the love flag in her relationship panel)
In my personal gameplay, I had Don take Dina on a date before their marriages to their respective Goths, and Dina kept rolling wants to flirt with Mortimer instead. Later down the line she also helped out the Brokes financially, and after her close friend Brandi died young in childbirth, she took in her youngest children, so that her oldest son Dustin could go to college and not worry what’s gonna become of his younger siblings in his custody while he’s gone. I figured it made sense because of Dina’s Nice points, her relationship with Brandi and her now being partially in charge of so much money it isn’t even funny.
In conclusion: I support and condone Dina! Even if it’s somehow implied that she and her sister might’ve just staged her rival’s alien abduction.
Tumblr media
Circe Beaker (Strangetown)
Tumblr media
Circe is yet another... unwholesome character on my list. She canonically tortures people, namely Nervous Subject, and her bio eludes to there being more in the past or the future. She's cunning, ambitious and very mean.
But she is also very fun to play! Her aspiration being Fortune (not Knowledge) puts an interesting spin on the whole evil scientist routine. She doesn't do it for the love of discovery like the Curiouses and she doesn't care about credit as her husband does. She's out for power and she may as well get it.
Her rather extreme personality would lead one to think she has to be rather disliked around the town but her default relationship panel says otherwise. She doesn't have any close friendships except her husband, though. That makes me think she is superficially charming and tends to act diplomatic to obtain people's loyalty without necessarily caring about any of them. It makes playing her unique from most other Sims.
She is also canonically bisexual! I personally have a deep appreciation for each and every Sim that Maxis sneakily preset to be LGBTQ+. I may not seem like a big deal now but it is.
Conclusion: "She could gaslight, gatekeep and girlboss me any day.” - half of Strangetown’s population
Tumblr media
Lazlo Curious (Strangetown)
Tumblr media
Lazlo is a ray of sunshine in the Curious household! A very sloppy ray that makes messes wherever it goes, true, but sunshine nonetheless.
I’m very fond of Lazlo because he’s the type of person that looks like he can barely count to five with his easy-going and messy nature but is in fact very clever and, by some measures, the most competent Curious brother, since he is the youngest and it seems like he’s fresh out of college, yet holds a higher career position than his older brothers. “A smart person that doesn’t necessarily seem smart on the first glance” is a trope I have a big soft spot for. (...and it shows)
In my current gameplay, Lazlo wanted to resurrect Vidcund (who died in childbirth), so he switched from Science to Paranormal to swipe a Resurrect-O-Nomitron and, like the madlad he is, succeeded before their round was over (in a span of few days). It was a combination of dumb luck and him having a compatible degree that gave him a hefty bonus but it still made me realize Lazlo could achieve whatever he sets his sights on.
Luckily, his sights are generally set on pizza and video games.
(relatable)
Anyway, I find Lazlo somehow cute, most probably for his constant and very unfruitful attempts to make Vidcund laugh, and in general, how friendly and easy to get along with he is. While he doesn’t have that many Nice points (5, which is a pretty average number), combined with his playfulness he usually tends to act very amicable.
In conclusion: I simp for Knowledge Sims and it shows.
Tumblr media
Ok, I’ll be back with another 4 when my horrible procrastinating gruel of a brain feels like it. See ya!

had a dream there was an absolute masterpiece of a machinima webseries about caliente sisters and the murder of bella goth (she was murdered in my dream), it had like 16-18 episodes and was structured like your regular drama/thriller tv show with comedy elements provided by capps and montys being rival businesses and putting their cringy ads in the middle of an ep (there was an ad to RA RA RASPUTIN BY BONEY M WHERE ROMEO AND MERCUTIO AND KENT?? WERE RIDING HORSES IN A RUSSIAN BOGATYR ATTIRE. OK).. and this webseries talked a lot about misogyny and slutshaming and kristen and erin were dating and also the Big Bad turned out to be pascal. amazing

Preface.
Before I begin with my first rotation overview, I just want to clarify for anyone who might stumble across this blog what exactly I’m doing.
My name is Violet, and I have been playing the Sims since the very first installation of the game. I have purchased every version of the Sims, every expansion pack, and a good amount of the downloadable content for the game over the years, and although I have certainly taken months long breaks from anything Sims related, I keep coming back to it.
Since the origins of the game, I have been the same type of player. Make a couple. Pop out a baby. Get bored. Repeat. I have never managed to complete so much as three generations of a legacy, and all of my Sims come out as carbon copies of one another; in personality if not in appearance. I’ve never been a rotational player, either, but after scouring the forums of the Sims website and being introduced to the concept, I decided to give it a go.
So that’s what this is. A massive rotational save game wherein premade families from the Sims 1,2,3, and 4 all converge into one little world. I will rotate families once every Sim week. I will keep cheating to a minimum, and try to stay true to the characters that EA and Maxis have created. Mostly, I’m just trying to have fun playing different types of Sims and exploring previously unused parts of my game.
So, on we go....
Week 1 - Candy and Yuki Behr
Candy and Yuki Behr are a pair of young siblings who inherited a cozy two bedroom home in the heart of Windenburg from their grandmother. Candy Behr, the eldest of the siblings, is an aspiring DJ, a lover of music, and a party-girl. Youngest sister Yuki is a technology loving computer whiz who likes nothing more than to waste her days away playing video games and hacking into places she shouldn’t. Other than that, there is not much information that I know about the girls, so I was free to go buck wild with my head canon.
The way I played the Behr sisters over the course of their week was rooted in their lack of supervision. Candy is a young adult very early on in that particular life phase. Combined with her aspiration to party all through the town, I assume that Candy is far from the ideal guardian for her young sister. She is a DJ, so she is often out until all hours of the night. She can hardly be expected to prepare breakfast in the morning, or help with homework at night, can she?
With this in mind, I played the girls as two ships passing in the night. Candy would be passed out until 10-11am every day, and gone out on the town by the time Yuki got home from school. Still, they’re sisters and they love each other, so they were quick to do things together if given the opportunity. One evening Yuki invited her sister out to a comedy show (courtesy of the Explore mod). On another night, Candy threw a house party and danced around with her sibling all night long. I imagined that the sisters were great with having fun together, but not so much with balancing their responsibilities along with it.
Candy, the only bread winner of the family, missed work twice in the week to recover from a long night out or to throw a party. Yuki also missed school once so that she could sleep after staying up all night partying, and went to school nearly exhausted a second day for the same reason. Yuki only did her homework once during that time, and her school performance fell from Good to OK. As much as the girls love each other, they do not make good influences on one another. As smart as Yuki is, she’s still a teenager and unlikely to make the right choice 100% of the time. Candy also has no skills as a parent, so the idea of keeping a teenager in-line is far beyond her skill level.
Separate of each other, the girls accomplished a few different things this week. Yuki worked on her video gaming and programming skills, had a successful meeting with her club Knights of the Hedge, and hung out with her friend Maaike. Candy, as well, managed to get her guitar skills up to snuff, made a pittance DJing at a club in Windenburg, and even earned her first Parenting skill point. She also threw two parties, both of which were....not great, and tried unsuccessfully to start a flirtation with Joaquin Le Chien.
In my head canon, Joaquin is the perfect guy for Candy to have a crush on. He is a music lover, dresses in a similar edgy club kid fashion, and isn’t terrible to look at. Joaquin wasn’t having it, though, so we’ll have to see if the two of them can grow their relationship on Joaquin’s rotation, or else the next time we visit the Behr sisters.
And thus concludes my first week of rotational play. Truthfully, I had a week before this one in game where I played the Bheeda’s and had them give birth to their child, accidentally impregnated Kaylynn Langerak, and had Katrina Caliente prostitute herself in the park (courtesy of the Hoe It Up mod), but we won’t talk about that because it was before I had settled on the normal aging for active households thing. We’ll get more into it later. But for now, adieu and happy Simming!

Mine (Episode 12)
Tumblr media
Monday morning, 9am and Mrs Caliente decided would be a great time to call an "Emergency" year 12 assembly
"Today officially marks 4 months of your time left in year 12" She reminds us, as if none of us are counting down the days until we are free of this place. "For some of you it will be time well spent studying for your upcoming exams but there are others who will waste this opportunity and will crash and burn so close to the finish line"
"Such a motivating speech" Cassie whispers to me and I can't help but laugh. I swear the teachers at this school spend their weekends thinking up inspirational speeches that do nothing to inspire any of us to try harder, it's just time in which we could be doing what they keep harping on at us about, studying.
"From today there will be no more new modules taught in any subject" She continues and we all cheer, "But this time will now be devoted solely studying and revision. Extra tudor time will be offered before and after school as well as a lunch times, use the tools we have on hand wisely students and you will go far."
"She realises Winter break is next week right" Cassie asks me, "Im not spending my whole time in Del Sol Valley with my nose in a book, I'm coming back with a tan, even if I have to fake it, then Sam might look my way". We both look at Sam, sitting a few rows back from us, his nose in a book and we giggle
"We have a special announcement from your school captains, Teresa and Declan, the floor is yours" Mrs Caliente says, handing the microphone to Tess.
"What is up Year 12", My sister, always the professional captain, I swear she just does the role for the attention it brings her and the roaring crowd proves my point, "We are 4 months away from Formal and tickets will go on sale at lunch time today and will be available for the the next 3 weeks only so get in quick because we need to pay our deposit to Myshuno Meddows and there is no refunds on tickets. Partners are welcome too but alcohol is not" This last part is met with booing from the crowd.
"Is Angus taking you to the formal?" Cassie asks excitedly
"I haven't asked him, I'd love for him to take me but he's 22, I doubt he wants to spend the night with the whole year of 18 year olds" I confess
"We could bring it up today at training if you want to, like in a subtle way?" Cassie suggests and I like that plan, that's Cassie for you, she's great at finding stuff out without asking directly
"That sounds great. Are you going to ask Sam to formal?" I ask her
"No, I'd rather just go stag than embarrass myself getting rejected by Sam" She laughs, "How was your weekend with Angus? Did you do anything fun?"
"If I tell you a secret can you not tell Tess?" I ask her
"YES!!! Must be pretty big for you to keep it from Tess though, you two share everything" She's excited to know something Tess doesn't but I know I can trust Cassie to keep a secret.
"I slept with Angus" I tell her, her eyes go wide
"You had sex?" she asks
"Yes, Saturday Night" I fill her in on all the details, what it was like what he said, what I said, our bath and the sheets.
"Why haven't told Tess though?" curiosity gets the better of her
"She will tell me it's too soon" I tell her
"But she has been on board with You and Angus from the beginning, she even jokes about you sleeping together" She reminds me
"She made a big deal about waiting a year to sleep with Declan, she may joke about Angus and I but I know how she would react and I don't want to subject Angus to Hurricane Teresa coming after him" I explain
"You wanted to do it though right? He didn't pressure you?" She says sounding concerned
"It was always my choice, the whole way through, he gave me opportunities to stop, many times and I didn't want to" I assure her
"He's so dreamy" she says
I'd never kept a secret from Tess before but I felt like I had to, to protect my relationship.
We caught the train to San Myshuro in the afternoon, Angus was out the front of the gym when we arrived, phone to his ear, deep in conversation, he looks angry and I can hear him getting frustrated with whoever is on the other end, he looks up and sees us walking towards him.
"I'm at work, I'll talk to you later in the week" He tells the caller, his tone is so angry, it scares me a little but the anger fades once we are in front of him, the others wave at him and walk inside to check in but I hang back, I need to know that he's alright. He pulls me in for a sneaky hug and I look into his eyes.
"bad day?" I ask him
"Little bit" he says, kissing my forehead
"Wanna talk about it?" I offer
"It's OK, you've got enough on your plate. How was school?" He's changing the subject.
"We have reached the 'study and revision' part of the speeches they want to drum into us" I complain
"They're not wrong though, it's important" He reminds me
"Not you too, I just want to feel less pressure" Now I'm getting frustrated
"Sorry baby" He apologises and kisses me, "Does that help?"
"Yes, thank you" I hug him tightly and then walk inside and notice the absence of Annabelle, when I question Angus he just tells me she's off sick.
"We should go shopping for Formal Dresses on Saturday girls, I know we have 4 months but still can't hurt to start looking" Cassie throws into casual conversation mid training
"Zoey and I will probably need that 4 months to pay dress off so yeah, I agree we go on Saturday. That ok with you Zo?" Tess asks me as if I really have an option to say no
"As long as it's not too early" I request
"Why? Do you have a hot date the night before? Did you know Zoey has a boyfriend Angus? And she spends all weekend with him and now I'm all alone" Tess says playfully
"Ah, I'm right here Tess" Declan reminds her
"I haven't heard a thing about Zoey's boyfriend" Angus plays along, "Did he ask if he can take you to the formal yet?"
"I don't think that would be his thing, hanging around a bunch of kids" I say shyly, hoping he will sense still how much I want him to accompany me but I feel like I can't ask him
"I think he might surprise you Zoey but only if you want him there" He says
"I want him there" I tell him and he smiles that cheeky smile.
"Ugh get a room" Tess laughs at us
"Declan is Sam going to the formal" I ask for Cassie
"No idea Zo, we're guys, we don't really talk about anything other than how the Llama's played on the weekend" Declan explains, "Oh by the way Angus, thanks for Sunday, seeing a game played on a screen that big was unbelievable"
"They're playing a home game this Saturday, we should go, I've got a box. Ladies, you're welcome to join us after shopping" Angus suggests, Declan is fully on board for seeing a live soccer game but the rest of us couldn't imagine anything worse
"Zoey, Declan was very impressed my car" He tells me, flashing that cheeky smile, "I even let him drive it"
"How does it not do it for you Zo?" Declan joins in on teasing me
"Maybe I'd be more impressed by it if Angus would let me to drive it" I tell them
"Can you drive Zoey?" Angus asks surprised
"I can but.."I'm too embarrassed to tell him, luckily Tess is not so shy about throwing me under bus
"She failed the test 3 times before passing, can't drive outside of Brindleton Bay because traffic scares her and can only drive auto" Thanks Tess, always there to show off my flaws, "Whereas I passed first go in a manual" She talks herself up
"An over confident driver doesn't make you the best Teresa" I tease her, knowing she hates when I use her actual name but she just laughs at me
"You can drive my car" Angus tells me before adding in "We'll go to suburbs though, not in the City"
"You're a brave man Angus" Tess teases him
"I'm an insured man Teresa Green" He fires back and Cassie shoots Tess a look of shock
"Wait, your surname is Green, as in Trees are Green?" She laughs loudly
"No, My surname is Lothario thank you very much" She corrects Angus, "I had the common sense to change that a few years ago"
"Why is yours still Green then Zoey?" Cassie asks me, "You hate your father for what he did, why still carry his name?"
"Because I don't want to wait 8 hours at City Hall, spend hundreds of dollars and have to fill out a stack of paperwork just to become Zoey Lothario, Don knows I love him and consider him our father, he's ok with it" I explain, adding "Anyway I only want to change my surname once in my lifetime" I put my head down, feeling silly for my own admission in front of Angus.
"Run Angus, run" Tess teases, adding to my insecurity but Angus saves me by telling the others
"Why would I ever run from this girl? She's gorgeous" and I blush, he's being my hero and I love him for it.
Our session is done for the day and we get ready to hit the showers.
"Can I borrow you for a moment before you go tonight?" He asks and of course my answer is yes.
I let the others know I won't be long and Angus walks me to his small office, he closes the door behind us and steals a kiss from me.
"I got you something" He tells me
"You didn't have to do that Angus" I explain to him as he hands me a small box, I open the box and inside there is a beautiful gold necklace with a diamond encrusted 'Z' charm, "I love it, thank you but I feel bad that I have nothing to give you". He takes the chain from the box and places it around my neck, clasps it and kisses my neck softly
"You gave me you're ultimate gift on Saturday night so I wanted to get you something to show you that you are special to me and I appreciate what you gave me, I love you Zoey" He explains
"I never thought of my virginity as a gift that I was giving, for a long time I'd viewed it as a burden, it showcased my inexperience" I tell him
"I like your inexperience, It's like I'm the captain of a ship and I get to help you discover yourself" He says and I know exactly what he means, this is all new territory to me but he's always there to guide me.
"I love you Captain Angus" Tell him, kissing him and he spanks me lightly. I love how sweet and cheeky he can be.
On my way out of the room I spot the photo of us from Sulmi, in it he's kissing me on the cheek, we look good together I must admit
