HSBC direction and character writing
So the team has released the writer's commentary early to the public most likely because they know how inflammatory the last update is/has been and wanted to get the reasoning behind it out there. Going to be going through it piece by piece here. Disclaimer: None of my opinions and thoughts are directed at the people as individuals and any criticism is directed at the writing itself. With that said, lets start off. Haven saying “this is the update where we’re gonna see if people are really rockin’ with us or not.” Lmao yep and I can assure you that I'm not one of them. I think we're seeing the end results though of a years bleeding fandom here though. Most people who enjoyed Homestuck either didn't read the epilogues or HS2 because they knew it was something they wouldn't like and didn't care for the direction of taking away the kids victory and giving them some new battle to fight while hurting each character. Those remaining are primarily people who are curious, neutral, or liked the official releases after Homestuck ended. Among them I'm sure a fair amount have liked this because this is already a work catered to them and what they want for better or worse. Anyways, moving on. So the next part just goes over everyone liking Yiffy and her getting a voice and all that, not much to comment on here. Which is a non issue except still making Rose and Jade call their kid a type of porn and keeping that was such a choice, but hey silly candy timeline right? Okay moving on to the conversation that matters. Okay starting with Floral: "Kanaya has long earned this confrontation and she’s not going to accept anything less than the truth." JAMES: This is the funniest line in Homestuck. This is so fucking funny because she gets cut off half way through and then the you fucked my wife being memed to hell in back both took any bite out of it and visibly made me cringe to read. Kanaya is mad here but there are other ways to write it. Would have loved to see a rant about "If you loved me so much Jade why would you betray my trust? Why would you not speak to me. Now you choose to spit in my face like this?" Etc etc. I may genuinely re-write every Kanaya part in this log at some point. I did do an alt version already but that's neither here nor there. Compliments for the art which deserve it! BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP GOING "Pretty art" AND EXCUSE BAD WRITING. I've had to read "I'm just using it as a picture book" and "I skipped through the logs" way too fucking much. JAMES: This one was for the sapphics. The most important demographic that exists. ... saying this while obliterating the biggest endgame sapphic romance? But hey guys!! Kanaya's hot right? This makes it all better :) Especially considering compared to Homestuck proper the epilogues and HS2 have just felt actively hostile towards sapphics FLORAL: This scene is also only one small part of the larger puzzle, bridging between what already existed in HS2 to what we want to do deeper into HS:BC. A puzzle that most of us aren't going to want to figure out. The question of if something is bad for the first 500-1000 pages is it worth consuming will always be no. Also points of expanding the border of Homestuck 1 BUT WE NEVER GET TO SEE THIS. I'm going to hit more on this later but Rose specifically there's so little or no direct foundational build up to her current character choices.
MILES: Yeah, seriously.  I felt viscerally going in that it was really important that Kanaya get some time to just be a stone cold bitch, both in the context of this particular marital fuck-up and in general.  She deserves it. So I'm on my hands and knees begging you guys to learn how to write badass powerful women that doesn't involve them just getting angry because their wife cheated. Hands and fucking knees. This goes for any writing in general but if you have to develop a character through purely negative experiences I'm not sure you should be writing. This whole entire scenario with Rosemary is such a cheap drama soap opera point to begin with (like a lot of HS2). Why can't we let Kanaya be her own fucking person and have shit going on, do something in the war, get to have moments like this in relation to Jane.
FLORAL:  Was so excited for this panel when we were first outlining the update. I had a lot of feelings about how we should move forward from the initial Yiffy reveal, but justification for these narrative choices only matter inside of the text itself, and this is only a tip of a much larger iceberg.
That said, what has always appealed to me the most about Candy in Beyond Canon is that it’s an opportunity to explore alt. selves to the max and start finding the missing “Meat” to Candy’s unbalanced and unsatisfying narrative. The irony for me on this is it was written about the fucking Jojo ass posing Rose which is in my opinion the worst panel in the update. Rose being turned into a comical villain for the sole reason of shaking things up in Candy. Justifications in the text is a great way of putting it and before this we had very very little. The idea of telling us afterwards well it was all apart of the grand plan when barely any time ago we have Rose thanking John for how happy she was to have her life the way it is here. Rose suddenly going ahh apathy my true love and going from a loveable and complex character to this flat cardboard cut out is the biggest crime of this update. The I knew you would forgive me part too. Just. GIRL HOW?? Rose Lalonde who first lost her seer powers in Candy, second the same girl who couldn't even see her friends all dying and her failing in game over. This girl? She saw 15 YEARS INTO THE FUTURE and knew Kanaya would just get it. Roll over like a good wife and be okay. I didn't know she was a seer of time now? This is the worst line in the entire update simply because it implies that Rose has gone off the deep end in the least interesting way and is now an unreliable narrator or that Kanaya is actually going to forgive her and holy fuck that would be the actual worst way to take this. Not beating the NTR kink allegations HS2 writers. Also spoiler alert it's unsatisfying because everyone in it gets fucked over by writing choices as baseless and useless as these. You're perpetuating the problem.
HAVEN: The world hasn't felt real to Rose since she was 16, this life is like a game to her. For her, a war is just “something to do.” Also man while this was a route that I didn't like for the epilogues either there are so many other ways to handle this than the one chosen. But that would require a rewrite from the start of HS2 which already put on this shit show. I still wholeheartedly believe that none of the things listed here justify Rose's behavior to Kanaya. As the one anchor point she's had her entire adult life. FLORAL: It’s a little sad that even during a Rosemary moment, it's never really about Rosemary, huh? Then later- "There really needed to be a joke here, too, to sell the emotional drop the next page brings" Kettle, meet pot. Whatever could be the cause for nothing ever being about them and the pair being relegated to background bullshit? Who's to say indeed. But hey! They're at the forefront now, and only for the most basic and cheap drama ways. Also I loathe this mentality about there needing to be a joke. You're clearly writing this for adults at this point a joke isn't required a real look at the situation is. The gag at the end where the convo gets ended is enough to break the tension for the reader.
FLORAL: There’s catalyst events, sure, but ask a few questions and it becomes apparent everything rides on the history of smaller fights, disappointment, sweeped away passive aggressions, miscommunication and unsaid hurt feelings.
This is why writing characters in their 40’s is great and why there is so much to do in Candy. Behind all the patented Homestuck misdirection and narrative unreliability, you’re left with an offshoot full of alternate selves at their lowest, layered in apathy and evidently not saying what they think Once again we aren't shown this. We just get told about it later and that's incredibly unsatisfying as a reader. Explaining it further down the line and doing more justification later does not help this either. I think also the idea that everyone in their middle aged years is jaded and apathetic is such a lame ass direction to go in. The idea that no one is allowed to be happy after everything they went through in the game is still one of the most frustrating things. I'm asking anyone why would someone want to read that? Why do you think the fandom imploded after this and that the people left mostly enjoy either soap opera trauma or torture porn (which HS2 is both)
like sitting down with a highschool friend you lost touch with 20 years ago and have only known about through concerning Facebook posts. So we're fully aware of the problem and just going this is a feature. Got it. So the commentary ends there and I'm just kind of left feeling as hollow and empty as before. I have zero faith that we can dig into any of these characters in a meaningful way but especially the more complicated women. This reads as coming back to them 20 years later so we can write them how we want or how we envisioned them without having to come up with in text validation. Reminds me of late season Game of Thrones writing. Guys how we got here is important. Anyways in summary HS2 remains a dour, unfun read of characters going through a perpetual state of torture and emotional suffering while we forever get told "Wait but there's more!" But hey. Happy Rosemary, glad they won that poll. Maybe the little thing James is going to do for the fandom is just kill them off to save them from this torment. As a writer myself it's just painful to read and I want to re-write it all times

What I've Lost ~ Colors, Chapter 10 (Kai Parker Fanfiction)
Hello and happy new year, my dear readers! Welcome to Chapter 10 of Colors, my Kai Parker Soulmate AU Fanfiction. I apologize for the very long hiatus on the Colors series. I am back and do promise to write this story to completion!
This is NOT meant to be read as a standalone piece. Events of the story and even the universe it is set in vary greatly from the original show. If you haven’t yet, please read the Details post and previous chapters linked on this masterlist.

I don’t like writing with Y/N in the place of character names, but this IS a reader insert fanfiction. I use Rosalie Wilson as a placeholder. Use Rose/Rosalie as a substitution for Y/N.
Warnings: scattered mature language
This chapter takes place two months after Chapter 9, which places our characters in late summer. I hope you enjoy it! :)
Colored pencils lay scattered on a wooden desk. Rosalie twirled one of navy blue between her fingers, debating on the pattern the waves should form. She leaned back, and her head nudged Kai’s knee as he lounged on the couch. He played with a puzzle piece, attempting to fit it in multiple locations.
Scooting over, Rose rested her chin on his forearm. The puzzle was slowly coming together, months after he’d started it. It had been a birthday present, and its creation was a surprise to them both, in a way. One winter morning, Caroline managed to snap a perfectly candid picture of Kai and Rosalie together. Snowflakes fluttered around them. Pure joy sparkled in their eyes. They shared a laugh, their arms wrapped around each other.
When she shared it with Rosalie, she had it crafted into a 1000-piece puzzle for Kai. He had an affinity for many random things because of his time in the prison world, and puzzles that occupied him for weeks at a time once helped him maintain his sanity.
Malachai had begun the puzzle in May and was teasingly close to finishing it. It occupied a large portion of their dining table when he wasn’t actively working on it over long, stray cardboard. They both loved looking at it, for it brought both a great deal of serenity.
Hidden within that laughter and embrace was a promise – both unspoken and not. A promise to love their other half forever.
~
The Mystic Falls’ namesake gurgled in the distance, lashing against the boulders below. Music was blaring from some boombox, people were chattering, and the fire crackled. The smell of toasting sugar melded with the smoke as marshmallows roasted by the flames’ lick.
Despite having moved on from high school, the annual back-to-school bonfire was a tradition. Each year, their group seemed to only grow. What had once started out as a yearly activity for Rosalie, Elena, Bonnie, and Caroline had become a custom for their whole group. It was also the first bonfire where Rosalie wasn’t the odd one out among the couples.
Kai slowly sipped his beer, sitting beside Enzo. Things will never be comfortable between them; even if Bonnie had forgiven him for their friction in the 1994 prison world, Enzo held quite the grudge. Too many conversations flowed, and none were worth joining.
He occupied his attention with the dancing fire, watching the kaleidoscope of colors alternate between orange, yellow, red, and even blue closest to the logs. Despite the beauty in the flames, Malachai grew bored quickly. His eyes began searching for the one they would always be glad to gaze upon. Rosalie was a little bit away, talking to someone Kai was unfamiliar with. The man in question stepped close to her as if he’d known her for years; Malachai’s teeth clenched, and there was a dark glint in his eyes along with the reflection of the bonfire.
There was a reason Kai didn’t know about Logan; Rose wanted nothing to do with him. He was the one person she’d ever dated before meeting her soulmate. Their relationship hadn’t ended horribly, but it was still a phase of her life she did not want to remember. Just like Elena broke up with Matt after the death of her parents, Rosalie left Logan when her powers destroyed her family. He’d left Mystic Falls shortly after, and she did not expect to see him again.
Despite the past, Rose was doing her best to be civil. In his mind, she was in the wrong. “What brings you back to Mystic Falls?” Rosalie wrapped her arms around herself, creating some distance between them. Logan didn’t get the message, taking another step closer. “You. I came back for you.”
Rose balked, completely silent for a moment. It had been years since they’d last seen each other. How could he possibly still be hung up on her? “We could do what we talked about. Get a big house on Oak Street, send our kids to the same schools we went to… don’t you want to?” There was this incredulous shine in Logan’s eyes as if it was completely crazy Rosalie didn’t return his manic pining.
Kai couldn’t take it. He’d never wanted to violate her privacy this way, but he had to know. With an unnoticeable wave of his hand and a mutter of an incantation under his breath, he began listening in to their conversation. The second he did, he immediately wished he hadn’t. A vein throbbed above Kai’s left temple, all the tension held in his jaw.
“A lot has happened since we broke up, Logan. I don’t want that anymore. I suggest you leave.” Rose was doing her best to still be respectful, even if she wanted to crush his hopes entirely. She turned to walk away, but a hand on her shoulder stopped her. Before she could shove it off, Kai beat her to it.
“You heard her. Leave.” Rosalie had never heard such an edge in Malachai’s tone. There was something frightening about the side of him she never saw. Logan looked between the two and erupted into a crude laugh. “And who are you to tell me that? You’ve been around for, what, a few months? I’ve been here for years.”
That was it. Kai grabbed his collar, nearly lifting him from the ground. “Malachai, that’s enough.” Logan was the one who’d stepped out of line first, but she only had the right to stop her soulmate. Pulling them apart, she stepped between them both. A silent conversation took place between Malachai and Rosalie, after which he finally let him go. Without another word, he took her wrist, leaving Logan and their friends in the dust.
Kai stormed to the car. Anger still coursed through his veins, and he didn’t know how to quiet it. Anger terrified him. It was a part of him that he thought he’d left behind. The engine roared to a start, and their car squealed out of the parking lot. In the dark of the night, no one stopped them as they sped through the streets.
“What was that?” Malachai’s voice was quiet now. Somehow, it was even more dangerous. His eyes, tinged with jealousy, flashed over to Rosalie. She didn’t know what to say. “Stop the car.” He scoffed, stepping on the accelerator. He was seeing red, no longer caring for anything.
“Damn it, Malachai, we’re going to crash! Stop the car right now!” Her hand rested on Kai’s forearm, and he finally regained some consciousness. The car came to a dangerous halt in the center of Wickery Bridge. Turning it off, he stepped out and slammed the door shut. Rosalie was also incensed by his behavior. He wasn’t a child, and this tantrum didn’t amuse her. A grown adult – her soulmate, no less – would listen before jumping to conclusions.
Taking a deep breath, Rose followed him out. The water was treacherously black. The only light came from the car’s headlights. Malachai was staring out into the distance, his hands clenching the bridge’s wooden railing. “Are you going to tell me what that was about?”
The corner of Rosalie’s eye twitched, but she held onto her sanity. Exploding in anger wasn’t going to help. “He was my ex. He didn’t know I was with you and wanted to get back together. I shot him down as nicely as I could.” Truthfully, Malachai knew as much. In all likelihood, given all the memories he shared with Rose, he knew there was nothing more to the story. Unfortunately, his rationality had disappeared long ago.
“Really? If that’s all there is to it, then why didn’t you ever mention him before?” His hands smacked the railing in unison, the splinters drawing blood. Rosalie rushed over immediately. Healing spells weren’t complicated, but with her mind so frazzled, nothing was happening. “Malachai, please… he doesn’t matter. He never mattered. You’re hurt, let me look.”
When she moved to touch his hands, he yanked them away. “You know everything about me. Every fucking detail. You didn’t care enough to mention this.” Kai spit the words out. They’d formed a harsh whip, each lash brutally hitting Rosalie. “I gave up everything for you! You don’t know what I’ve lost because of you.”
There it was. Rosalie had mentioned her fear of monopolizing his life, of taking more from him than she could give in return. He’d taken the thing that hurt her most - the worry that kept her up at night - and threw it in her face. She didn’t say anything, standing in painful silence.
The second the words left his lips, Kai wanted to take them back. He couldn’t. Wounds made by words often cut much deeper than any other weapon. He couldn’t even bring himself to apologize. Rosalie looked up at him, and Malachai could only see the barest hint of tears forming in her eyes when she vanished.
Then, it was just him. Him and a running car, stranded on Wickery Bridge.

I wrote a bunch of paragraphs about nothing in particular again so here it is under a readmore so it doesn't take up space.
like 8 years ago when people used tumblr more via desktop browser than its app, I put a 3rd party metric tracker in my desktop theme that logged how people were referred to my blog. it also captured what pages of my blog people viewed.
at one point during this time I reblogged a piece of pixel art from a japanese artist. they came to my blog through their activity page, and then searched my blog in a couple different ways for the terms "ドット" and "ドット絵" ("dot" and "dot art", as in pixel art). I checked those search urls myself to see if they found anything but there were no results because I never used those terms or specifically tagged pixel art in any other way.
ever since then I've made an effort to tag all pixel art I reblog with the term "pixel art". that artist was probably hoping to find more art to check out and it bums me out that my tagging system wasn't thorough enough to help.
this is why I have my current specific tag system lol. it keeps evolving but having the ability to find stuff you're into without jumping through hoops is really handy. (the site-wide post and tag searches return sooo much bullshit. it's a slog sifting through thr noise whenever I use those to fill my queue due to the sheer amount of manga caps, polls, liveblogs, personal posts, and fics posted without readmores...)
if only the way to view all tags you've ever used still worked. I think it caps at 500 or 1000 now and is also chronological so the first 500 or whatever tags you ever used show up in the list. then there's a hard stop and it does not update as you delete posts or use that mass tag editor to remove certain tags for your blog entirely.
I went through my used tag list earlier this year to unify certain tags and remove tags that I stopped using in favor for other ones, but I only got like 400 tagged terms down the list. maybe downloading my blog data would show more. the trick I mentioned uses your desktop blog's archive page. the tags are in its code so you can use "inspect element" to view it. I remember scrolling a lot to load a bunch of posts on the page but cant remember if this was required or I just did it to see if I could access more tags.
it's formatted all fucked and hard to manage but you can copy and paste the long chunk of tags into one cell of a spreadsheet and then use Data options to split them into columns by commas (or whatever punctuation separates them, I forget). a wide list is a huge pain to view so from there you can click on a cell containing data, click ctrl+a to highlight all data in thr row, copy, then paste special as "transposed" to turn the copied row 90° so it pastes as a column. the spreadsheet will wide as fuck from the hundreds of columns so honestly its easier to paste the transposed data into a new tab and delete the original vs clicking in the column to the left of your transposed data and then pressing ctrl+ shift+right arrow to select all rows to the right, then deleting the extra rows.
if you're in Excel you may have to use the "delete rows" option from the "home" tab and then save the sheet using "file > save" (do NOT save via the save button on the upper left corner or ctrl+s). this returns the sheet to a manageable size for scrolling (plus reduces its file size). this piece of shit software usually retains the sheet width/length even after you delete hundreds of columns/rows unless you use this trick of deleting specifically via home tab + saving specifically through the save menu.
I got a round number of tags when I did this which makes me think there's a cutoff.

>Slap the sword out of his hand.
You look at the guard.
He brandishes his sword and says another word that you don’t know.
His sword is pointed at you.
You know what you need to do.
You fake leftwards, he pivots, then you dash to the right. He‘s gripping his sword with his right hand- You put your whole body into an open-handed slap. It connects with his sword hand with startling force, and his sword clatters across the floor into a dark corner of the room.
Your hand hurts.
You feel someone shaking you awake.
“Whauh- wha- WHAT?? I’M AWAKE,” you splutter.
Louisiana is standing over you, hands on her shoulders, her eyes full of concern.
“Are you okay???” she asks.
“I ‘unno, are YOU okay?” you retort.
You’ve been awake for about five seconds, and you don’t even know which end is up.
Louisiana sighs.
“You sounded like you were having a really bad dream,” she says. “And then you, like, punched the bed?”
She gestures to one of the support beams of the bunk bed. There’s a large divot in it, and some of the wood is splintered.
You look from the beam to your hand.
There’s a very large splinter of wood protruding from your palm, about the size of a pencil.
Huh, how about that.
“Oh SHIT,” says Louisiana. “BUNNY! WE NEED A BANDAGE OVER HERE,” she calls out.
In a flash, bunny darts into the room, holding a red pouch with a Swiss cross on it.
“Oh, man, I uh… I don’t wanna look at that any more,” Louisiana says. Her eyes are wide and she looks a bit sickened.
She backs out of the room as Bunny darts in. Bunny grabs a small bedside table and spreads out some medical equipment on it. You hold out your hand.
You’re still half-sitting up in bed, propped up on your left elbow.
“Looks like we gotta get that thing outta there,” you say, staring at the chunk of wood stuck in your hand.
“Yep. This is definitely gonna be uncomfortable. I am sorry,” says Bunny.
She seizes the piece of wood with a large pair of tweezers, and gently but firmly pulls.
You can feel it coming out. It doesn’t hurt as much as you would imagine.
As it comes out, you don’t see any of the red blood that you expect, rather a thick transparent leaf-green liquid.
“Uh,” you say.
Bunny continues. She puts the piece of wood into a transparent resealable plastic bag.
She mops up some of the green liquid. It’s pooling in the center of your palm.
Bunny goes back in with the tweezers, and extracts a few small splinters of wood.
She mops up more green liquid, then folds up a piece of gauze into a tight bunch, places it over your wound, and tapes over it with white medical tape.
“Put pressure on there for at least fifteen minutes,” she says.
You make a fist.
“Do we need to, uh… sterilize it, or something?” you ask. You don’t really know what to do with wounds that size.
Bunny pauses. Her lips purse, and she tilts her head from one side to the other.
“Um, well… The thing is… I don’t want to risk introducing any chemical you might be intolerant of,” she says.
“But I’m not allergic to…” you try to protest.
“You’ve changed.” she says.
“Your blood… is green now. I don’t know what chemicals are safe to mix with your blood.”
You think for a second.
“…Like how you can’t mix cleaning products unless you have the MSDS sheet for them?”
“Uh, sure,” she says. “I guess.”
Louisiana pokes her head in the doorway.
“Is the giant log removed from your hand now?” she asks.
You hold up a bandaged hand and wiggle your fingers at her.
“I’m fine,” you say.
“Except her blood is green now,” says Bunny, as she tidies up her medical equipment.
Louisiana looks shocked. “What???”
“Yeah, green,” you say.
“…Can I see?” she asks.
You grab the transparent plastic bag with the medical waste in it and hold it up.
Her eyes widen. “Woah.”
“Yeah I guess… I guess I’m really not human any more,” you say.
You look at the beam that you struck in your sleep.
The divot in the beam is quite large.
You reach out and touch the wood. It’s very solid.
“Yeah, uh, be careful with that. I built it myself,” says Bunny.
“Sorry. I think I was dreaming,” you say.
“…You definitely weren’t that strong before,” says Louisiana.
“I wonder if you can, like, break bricks and stuff now?”
You’re not sure if you really are stronger now.
It wouldn’t be that far-fetched. After all, your sharp teeth, forked tongue, and green blood are strange enough. And that divot in the wooden beam looks pretty big.
“Well, strong or not, I want to prepare you for when we have to face off against the vampires,” says Bunny.
“Which means?” you ask.
“Target practice.”

Language Learning Log 2023 Week 25 (19/06 - 25/06)
Gosh I can't believe nearly half the year's gone already, crazy.
Again, I don't have much to report this week. JLPT study is boring. I started watching One Piece but I'm bored of it already 😅 Definitely not gonna be watching all 1000+ episodes of it. I learned some vocabulary from it though, so that's something.
This week is gonna be all about JLPT study. Reviewing vocabulary, reading things, listening to the radio, watching grammar videos. Sunday's the big day. My practice test scores so far have ranged from pretty damned reasonable to utterly catastrophic, so I guess we're just gonna have to wait and see what happens. I don't care too much, and it's not like I have anything riding on it, so whatever.
Anyway, if you don't hear much from me this week, that's why. If you hear a lot from me then it's because I'm procrastinating studying 🤣

8 Shows To Get To Know Me:
fuck okay lemme break this down and y’all can’t fucking judge me for NOTHING
Glee
Tumblr media
*fucking sigh*
LOOK I’m not happy about this shit either but if we gotta be real I’ma be real and say yeah, I was a gleek (god saying that makes me wanna die, a piece of my soul shriveled fuck) when I was in high school it was a time okay I’m putting it on the list because glee was the reason I even logged on tumblr for the first time glee was one of those shows that was extremely formative to my fandom experience and fandom development during those late teen years. My original tumblr blog was dedicated to glee and eventually to manga/anime/comics and then I dipped for a bit and came back to tumblr blah blah blah glee was the start of my tumblr experience but also was the first time I ever actively engaged in a ship war (Which was STUPID i was so STUPID) like before I was a lurker but glee was the first show I openly participated in fandom
and it’s a dumb show, it’s a bad show, it has some shining moments but lordly it was a mess and I was so invested in Britanna and Klaine at the beginning but by the end I was like they should NOT be together and honestly proud of myself for that it showed ~growth~ I also dropped the show idk mid-s4? Glee was the show that made me learn to drop things and not get caught up in sunk cost fallacy, if you’re not happy watching something, drop it.
Inu-yasha
Tumblr media
THIS FUCKING SHOW this show was my first taste of any fandom ever I was still in elementary school and honestly way to young to be watching this shit but my GOD did I eat this shit up like nom nom nom it was so good hit all the fantasy action points it basically created the template for what I like in media: romance, action, adventure, friendships, fantasy
I can still hear that adult swim commercial for the series in my head, one of the original memes (also screw kikyo still can’t stand her ass)
Yugioh
Tumblr media
LISTEN this is a comfort show I love it to pieces Yugioh the abridged series is a fucking masterpiece I’ve rewatched this show so many times b/c it’s just fucking fun it makes NO SENSE why are they all so serious about ~children’s card games~ why does no one go to school why does grandpa have a god damn stroke after losing one card game why does joey sound like that it’s hilarious the shadow realm gaslit an entire generation of children I love every second of it
RUN BTS
Tumblr media
uuuuuh, is this cheating? fuck it I don’t care, you can’t control my shit as they say idk I love BTS I love their run episodes when I want to relax, chill and not think and laugh for a bit I throw the tomato song one on lol the memes that come out of every episode are worth it for that alone
Kinnporsche
Tumblr media
okay here’s what y’all came here to see lmao Kinnporsche really grabbed my ass and slapped it like wtf I wasn’t expecting to get so invested in this show tbh b/c like I started watching BLs again but the ones I had watched from Thailand hadn’t GRABBED me they all ranged at the time from okay but wouldn’t watch again (Until We Meet Again, 1000 Stars) to boring-dropped it (Fish Upon a Sky, 2gether, Lovely Writer) the ones I had liked were mostly Korean and Taiwanese offerings (HiStory Trapped, Love is Science, We Best Love (seasons 1 AND 2 fight me), Be Loved: In House, You Make Me Dance, the one Korean assassin one).
So like, I saw the trailer for KP and was like, oh that looks different and interesting from other Thai BL and then I saw it was canceled and was confuse. Then I saw it was un-cancelled and was MORE confused I was like is this show coming out or nah? But it was and I was like, sure why not? And I had just restarted using tumblr again and then the show started and the first episode HIT SO HARD and I was like “omg actual cinematography, actual camera framing, actual directing, actual locations, actual physical movement of the cast and the story, a larger story at play, COSTUMES” bitch I was hooked and I’m probably bias but KP is still the best conceptually executed Thai BL imo like sometimes I see posts about the cinematography of other Thai BL and it’s just pictures of two chars standing in a mid-lit room and I’m just like, god I’m a snobby ass bitch lemme leave lol
KP isn’t perfect, there are issues with the plot at times, but like, there’s issues with the plot! Not the sound (rip LITA I still love you), or the lighting, or the editing, or the direction. The secondary cast actually feels like a cast rather than extras to fill out the cast or pad for time there’s like next to no filler in the show which is such a rarity (imo) for Thai BL.
Love Between Devil and Fairy
Tumblr media
To me this show was peak fantasy epic romance I just love it to pieces, the costumes are to die for I wish America made more epic romances like this that really embrace fantasy, romance, and action one thing I really love about C-Dramas is they embrace romance with a certain sincerity that is missing from American dramas and I think it’s a shame
I’m cheating that’s all I got in me I don’t watch a ton of TV shows and the ones I do I’m picky about so it’s hard to pick like a top anything lol but I think these ones describe me pretty well so

One Piece - #999 + 1000 | 1000 Logs
I'm obviously very late to the 1000th chapter party, but reaching this milestone feels so amazing and accomplishing. This series means the absolute world to me on so many levels. Inspiring, heart-wrenching, and beautiful, I really don't think any other series can stack up to it. It's been a blast to be a part of the adventure and I can't wait to see what lies ahead!

Update... Omgosh... My whole house smells so good right now... Once the rolls finished rising... I brushed with egg... Sprinkled with more cheese... Added a few extra slices of Jalapenos to each roll... Soooo soft and yummy... I would say this is a success... Not quite spicy enough for me though... Next time I'll use some Habanero's too. But still very good. I really love the crispy cheesy bottoms. I will type up the recipe and add it later... 😍
Recipe added....
1.75 cups warm water
6 T. Whipping cream powder
2 eggs
.5 cup sugar
8 cups white flour
1 cup wheat flour
3 teaspoons yeast
1 1/3 cup sourdough starter
2 teas salt
1 cup butter
Note: I do not pack my flour tight into the cup. Liquid measurements can vary depending upon the thickness of your starter and the actual weight of your flour. But then again this is what makes us rebels. Lol. No scale.
Also: I warm my flour up before use. 1.5 minutes in the microwave... stirring every 30 seconds. Trust me this helps a lot where proof time is concerned. Especially when your house is cold like mine.
Mix all ingredients except the salt and butter. I used KitchenAid. I used the low setting #1 just until most of the flour is incorporated and #2 for approx 8 minutes. Until mixed well and no longer sticking to sides of bowl. Please KNOW that this is a LOT of dough. Borderline toooo much for the KitchenAid. But I always make it work by stopping and pushing dough back down often.
Add salt then mix for another minute or 2.
Add butter and mix until completely incorporated.
Note: The dough will be VERY soft and tacky... but should not be too gooey and too sticky. It should hold its shape a bit when you dump it out of the bowl.
I dump the dough out onto oiled counter and cut in half.
Knead each half briefly just to form into nice balls. Place each into an oiled bowl. Cover and let rest 1 hour or until doubled.
Roll into logs and place in loaf pans. I used 1 extra large 1000 gram pan. But this would make 2 - 1000 gram loaves or 4 regular sized loaves without a problem. Allow to rise again until at least doubled. This took about 50 minutes.
Score top if you choose. I did one long slit down the center.
Preheat oven to 425°. Place loaf pan in oven. Immediately turn heat down to 375° I baked this one large loaf for 46 minutes. I am not quite sure how long it would take to cook a regular size loaf.
I baked until bread registered 206°.
Note: if you do not have whipping cream powder or powdered milk replace the water using whatever milk you have. Whether it's cow milk... goat milk etc... 😍
For the Jalapeno Cheese rolls...
I used 1/2 of this batch of dough... Patted it into a rough rectangle shape approximately a half an inch thick. Divided into 12 pieces... Sprinkled liberally with jalapeno chunks and shredded cheese. I used three large deseeded jalapenos... but I have no idea the amount of cheese. Formed into balls. Placed on parchment covered baking sheet equally spaced. Let rise for at least an hour. Was probably a bit longer because I had my loaf of bread baking and I had to wait for that to be done. Brushed with scrambled raw egg. Sprinkled with more cheese and added a few slices of Jalapenos on top. Baked at 350° for approx 35 minutes. Final temp of baked roll was 208°.

Up until like yesterday One Piece was something I was aware of, had seen bits of in videos about 4Kids censorship, and had no real opinion about other than maybe checking out the manga or a proper sub/dub. One of those everything I knew was against my will but no need to be mad about it.
Now I want whatever this live action thing all over my emotional hellsite thing is to completely fuck off. Y'all who want to see it go and deal with it.
Good Omens wasn't fucking up my dash every time I logged on.
The ads are fine, I ain't paying for this shit. It's the overlays that are annoying.
Most of the time this place respects my right to not have to see yiddies and ding dongs unless I chose to.
~exhausted sigh~
My emotional support ginger from junior high has turned up in downloads. I am downloading but I don't know as of yet how much I'm ready for. It's not him, it's the time of my life that was so awful I was ready to die.
If you feel that way reach out to someone who isn't a part of your daily life or inner circle. My choices at the time were giving up one of two toxic soups before the most toxic one killed me. Eventually I got a dry suit for the other one. Glad to say I did get out of that.
The two episodes I have decided to start with have NKOTB so someday he'll grow up smoking hot but for now you get what you get Joe Mac will help me thru it.
Still working on what pics will go on the band blog. I don't even thing Barf Bag needs 1000 pictures of themselves but there you go. By the looks of things I could hold one group hostage, each week you get a less filtered but still watermarked picture, for all the crabs and shoelaces I want.
Even the knowledge that about half a dozen bands shared members will probably make kids conceived at those concerts explode.
Meanwhile the bands are getting back to me absolutely delighted to see these things.
Look at all the people I am making happy by doing something nice.
Because believe me, if the people the photographer is currently living with knew about these they would be hustling every dime they could get out of it and not giving any to the photographer.
I'm trying to find her reporter friend to write a book about all of this and if it happens I'd be looking for a lawyer to put the photographer's share of money in an account to benefit her care on the condition she have someone not related to her overseeing it.

Time Marching On
So I tried to take a trip down memory lane today and logged on to DeviantArt.  It’s a novel experience, given how much of the site has been taken over by ayy-eye stuff, but I still have my old Favorites page with almost 1000 pieces in it.
One of the things I immediately notice is that one of my oldest favorites isn’t there anymore, and then after digging around the site it turns out that the account in question was deactivated so all of the art just vanished.
And that got me to thinking: even on the internet, where THE CLOUD is supposed to ensure that things and people live forever, they really don’t.  I don’t know what happened to this artist, and a part of me fears the worst.
This, in turn, makes me think about the natural cycle of life: you meet interesting people, but then for some reason they slip out of your life never to be seen again.  Sometimes quietly, sometimes dramatically, sometimes you don’t even realize until you act on reflex.
And that’s kind of why I feel as old as I do: things I knew and loved online are gone, never to be seen again, and that kind of emptiness just settles in my heart and makes the feeling of loneliness thicker.  And it happens so, so often.
PS: if anyone knows a TG artist by the name of John Colburn (aka tg-tf-74), especially if they know their whereabouts, drop me a line about it?  I don’t want to fear the worst.

Wayne Watts
ProfitLens Client and Amateur Advertiser
I was adequately lucky to get an early duplicate of PROFITLENS and allowed me to let you know I've been floored by how simple it was for me to begin accepting my most memorable picture deals. Everything is explained step-by-step, is 100% user-friendly, and the guys provide unparalleled support. It is not like other software, where you have to figure out everything on your own! Also, it really WORKS! It absolutely works! I'm betting on sales of $500 and $1,000 constantly! I would strongly suggest this to anyone!
Nigel Willis, a newbie marketer who uses ProfitLens, is a ProfitLens user. When I first logged into ProfitLens, I was amazed at how well the entire system works. After just two weeks of setting it up, I am already receiving commissions from my images totaling more than $1280. Even a novice like myself could complete it with just a few clicks because it is so simple. It's a magical piece of software that lets you type words and watch them transform into fresh graphics in just 60 seconds to start your own money-making machine! PROFITLENS is one of my favorite brands!
I was able to quit my job and become a full-time online entrepreneur thanks to ProfitLens, which is used by Robin Richardson, a novice marketer and user of the product. It's a blessing from heaven for me as I'm ready to be paid for making computerized mockups for organizations on my old PC. They tell me what they want, I put their instructions into ProfitLens, and presto, I get paid for a flawless mockup. ProfitLens's current price is absolutely ridiculous! Within the first hour of using it, I've recovered! Buy it before they realize and raise the price, my advice!
Jeannie Koh Newbie Marketer and ProfitLens User I highly recommend ProfitLens! Even for a novice like me, using the step-by-step wizard they provide is incredibly straightforward, and the training they provide is very user-friendly! Simply type in the words and watch your text be transformed into genuine illustrations, or genuine world mockups and pictures! I've proactively made $1650.39 in commissions with PROFITLENS! From me, a ten!
Utilize This Revolutionary New Software Right Away!
PRIVATE PERIOD: – ProfitLens comes with a free commercial license, so you can use it for more than just yourself: use it to make mockups for real estate, marketing, industry, and even t-shirt sales businesses; use it to make royalty-free stock images in any niche and sell them; use it for yourself and your own social media accounts: Use it to turn any idea from words to REALITY in less than 45 seconds. Go crazy with as many text prompts as you want—there are no restrictions with ProfitLens! Turn your pictures into digital avatars like LensaAI. Use it for graphics in your business or sell graphics on sites like Flippa.
PRIVATE PERIOD: – Only our early adopters will receive a free commercial license!
The $75 Billion Opportunity... Graphics have always been used, right?
You know what I mean when I say that you can use some of the online apps right now to edit or generate some banners, box covers, etc., as well as pay someone on Fiverr for a quick design.
That is the "Old" method, and it is extremely inefficient:
[X] Extensive waiting periods for the "perfect design" [X] Expensive software or outsourcing [X] Designers and software never "get it right" It is anticipated that the global design market will only reach $124 million in 2023...!
What a difficult problem to solve, right?!
You won't make much money in graphics and image editing because there is so much competition and such a small market.
You are fortunate because there is a huge trend that is ready to end the dying graphics industry once and for all. This is huge. Imagine being able to generate thousands of images, graphics, digital avatars, and mock-ups in a matter of minutes—with no editing or graphics experience required!
without the need for any software!
without the need for any designers or outsourcers!
And all you had to do was type in Words?
I'm talking about real AI, which is the same technology that powers some of the most exciting apps on the market right now, like ChatGPT3, DALL-E, LensaAI, and others. It allows you to create custom graphics, images, and digital avatars by inserting text prompts into the software!
This is working real AI, and there are no templates involved!
And now you know: In comparison to the "Old" way of doing things, the market for artificial intelligence is expected to grow to $75.54 billion in 2023!
You can clearly see the hype surrounding AI-art, images, and graphics, which has captivated the "mainstream" market more than "graphics editing on Fiverr" ever could! And you just know these numbers are correct!
I mean, we've all seen the recent craze for posting images of digital avatars and conversing with AI chatbots—it's everywhere!
It is the most recent strategy for attracting attention on social media, and it has been used by LensaAI, ChatGPT3, DALL-E, and others.
I mean, people have been quitting their jobs to become influencers on Facebook and Instagram, and the people who follow them are willing to pay a lot of money to get access to the same level of graphics, digital avatars, and images that have been manipulated by AI.
What if you could profit completely risk-free from the images' market frenzy and buzz?
This is a revolution unlike any other in image creation and marketing. It's time to take the shortcut for quick results and finally make money like the "Big Guys!"
All 100% automated with a single click inside ProfitLens. Create unlimited graphics and images with REAL AI. Turn any text prompt into a 100% unique image or graphic. Use your images to make cartoon avatars for social media. Use your images to make stock image packs. Perfect for making graphics packs. That's so cool and simple!
You'll be able to literally make images from "thin air"—or, more accurately, from a brief text prompt!
It's so good that thousands of newbies like you have already received their first commission.
Best part? Now you can...

Alternative Firing
As the work has evolved, it has become more important for me to be involved with all of the stages of the work.
I have decided to utilise alternative firing techniques - this can be a much more environmentally friendly approach as well as a gratifying one.
I will 'pit fire' my bisqueware pieces in a cast iron container. The container was my parents old multi-fuel fire so it is specifically designed to retain heat, ideal for this technique. From the information I have read in the book, the pieces should be bisque fired beforehand (up to 1000 degrees). Bisque firing the clay allows for excess gas to be released, to draw out the majority of the moisture and to petrify the clay particles so that they are less likely to be destroyed by the unpredictable flames in a pit fire.
Health and Safety
As I will be working with open flames and fire, there are additional hazards and risks I need to consider before hand:
Hazards:
Open flame
Smoke
Fire
Broken/sharp shards
Explosions
Wooden logs
Fue
Fire-lighters
Lighter
Risks:
Burns to body, fingers, extremities from extremely hot metal surface
Debris falling from pit causing unexpected fires and potential burns
Material exploding from the pit due to thermal-shock
Smoke inhalation from proximity to pit
Cuts from sharp edges of bisqueware
Skelfs from wooden logs
Potentially life-changing injuries from using axe
Fire becoming uncontrollable
Actions:
Using PPE to alleviate risk or surface burns and damage to soft tissue such as: fire proof gloves when handling hot material, safety eyewear etc.
Using fire safe tools such as tongs to move and place materials into the pit
Using natural fire-lighters to minimize hazardous gas exposure from chemical fire-lighters
Removing any additional fuel from the surrounding area i.e excess cardboard, paper, wood
Identifying safe distance from the pit and ensuring the place is completely free from obstructions
I have a small CO2 fire extinguisher which is suitable for Class A fires such as the one I will be using (fires involving natural combustibles such as paper or wood)

Summary
There’s nothing more frustrating than spending hours making a great piece of content that doesn’t get the traffic you were hoping for. If you didn’t also invest time in sharing or promoting that content, that’s likely a significant reason why.
Optimizing content for search engines and social media is not easy, in fact it’s quite complicated. Social sharing and link posting sites can have a big impact on the success of your content marketing. It can also help with your link building efforts.
Not only can they help you get more traffic, but they can also help your content’s SEO by generating backlinks to it. But how do you know what sites on which to share your content? We wrote this guide to help get you started.
Social Sharing & Link Posting Sites
There are a variety of different social sharing sites you can use to help promote your content. In our list below, we include more than 50 of the sites that we have the experience to recommend, but there are so many others you can try.
Want even MORE link opportunities?
Sometimes you don’t need to reinvent the wheel when it comes to link building. Some good ol’ fashioned competitor research + reverse engineering is all it takes to level the backlink playing field.
And the best thing is… we can do it for you with our Backlink Gap Analysis:
Quickly see how your backlinks stack up against your competitors. This analysis looks at the top 1000 links a site has (+ 5 competitors) to show any backlink gaps.
We recommend that you use this list as a starting point to research what link posting sites would work best for the content you create.
1. Twitter
Twitter is a social sharing site that is great for sharing all kinds of content. You can engage with your followers as well as influencers as part of your social media strategy. If you do it right, you can develop a good-sized following of people who love to consume your content.
There are two benefits to Twitter. First, to increase the traffic you get from social media. Second, for some people who follow you to link to it on their own site.
2. Pinterest
Pinterest is one of the most commonly used “social bookmarking site”. People “pin” content they like to their board. It lets them go back to it later and share things that interest them with others. It is especially great for sharing images, and is one of the best image SEO tools you can use.
3. Mix (previously StumbleUpon)
Another very popular social bookmarking site, Mix made its name for being extremely user friendly. Like Pinterest, it allows you to share content and your bookmarked content to other people. Having high-quality content and growing a following can really help create a network of people who organically share your work.
4. Dribbble
You can think of Dribble as a social bookmarking site for graphic designers. If your business is in the creative-sphere (or if you make very good quality visual content) it is one of the better sites to get backlinks and shares for it. You might also be able to find other designers to do collaborative projects with.
5. Delicious
Delicious is a pretty standard promotion site where you can share the content you develop to get more traffic for it. It is not quite as popular as the bigger platforms listed here, but is big and useful enough to include in your strategy.
6. Pocket
Pocket is a site and an app that people can use to “pocket” things they find on the internet or on an app that they like. The calling card for Pocket is that you can fully access content even offline once you bookmark it. Those extra features make it popular for people who are very tech savvy, something to keep in mind when sharing content on the platform.
7. Digg
