lets talk about midorima having a thing for takao's voice. like, how unconsciously his eyes would flutter shut at the warmth of said pointguard's voice, basking for a moment with how soothing he always finds it, a low lull that crowds every sense of his, crawls into every corner of his mind, massages the tension away within one instant. takao could ramble on about anything mundane, and midorima's shoulders would start to relax on their own accord. it hardly comes as a surprise to him. that he’s now just a pile of compliant bones, relaxing and unravelling from the mere sound of takao's voice. everything always comes easy when it's takao.

i hate how im so emotionally invested in takamido because i kin midorima, and i'm ridiculously fond of takao. midorima possesses every interest i have, and has the emotional range of a fucking teaspoon, it's so ANNOYING. midorima was the first character i've ever encountered that believed in astrology, to that, i was already endeared. he's awkward, a dork, and cant match social cues to save his life, but he shows his concern in the most roundabout way possible; he's really not honest with himself. he's superstitious too, i like that, i like that a lot, he's consistent with his beliefs and doesn't stray from that path. then there's takao, takao who is a saint, his bestfriend, partner, someone who has voiced out his own disbelief over horoscopes/oha asa yet i'm pretty sure watches oha asa religiously now too; is aware of how hopelessly stubborn and prideful the ace is, and has chosen to stay; and instead of wholly refusing to get along with one of the bastards that beat him, makes the effort to befriend him and works hard in his role as a pointguard not only to be acknowledged, for for he himself to be proud of how he's grown. i think a lot about how charming, friendly, amazing takao kazunari looks at midorima like he's the biggest constellation in his sky.
