The top 2 are mine. The next two are my son's. Ever since NFTs came out on SNL, he's been obsessed with Eminem. "I Think I'm Okay" has been on repeat for many months and was my favorite song of 2021 (and gives me serious Gallavich vibes).

when did you start watching shameless?

I watched S10 while it was airing and then around the beginning of quarantine I watched the rest of Shameless lol. I was reading fics like 2 years before tho, cause I somehow fell into a gallavich abyss on youtube and apparently that was enough for me 🤣 I wasn't really interested in watching the show itself until the gifs of Ian and Mickey reuniting in prison started showing up on my tumblr feed😅

Ian noticed long ago, Mickey doesn’t phrase a question like he's looking for an answer. Ian thinks it’s because Mickey could care less about what most people have to say most of the time, so he says everything like a statement to throw everyone off. A by-product of being unable to show any emotions in front of his family growing up. A mask to hide his true inner thoughts.

Ian's used to it though. Accepts it, embraces it. Ian likes to think he knows Mickey well enough to understand what he's trying to say, without needing to hear the words spoken out loud.

The only time Ian senses an inquisitive tone in Mickey’s voice is when his inhibitions are lowered, vulnerable, afraid to hear the other person's response.

Like when Mickey asked what he did wrong to make Ian leave two years ago. Like in this moment, right now.

“I’m yours, Mick,” Ian replies firmly. “Only yours.”

when did you start watching shameless? 

this year! i randomly saw a clip of ian and mickey's prison reunion scene and proceeded to watch every gallavich scene on youtube and then binged eleven seasons of shameless in a week

how did you start getting involved in the gallavich fandom?

i read a shit ton of fics and made a twitter & tumblr to follow people in the fandom before finally deciding to write my first fic!

what plotline from the show irked you the most?

there's a lot 🙄 but the one that bothered me the most was ian's gay jesus plotline. it was just handled poorly imo - the whole thing played off as a huge joke and the show didn't really explicitly state (or even imply) ian's actions were due to him being manic until the court hearing? idk it just seemed like the show used ian's bipolar as a cop out and it just felt wrong

favourite line from the show?

"i like fuckin' carrot-tops, like, with the freckles and the pale skin and fuckin' alien-looking" 🥕👽
