Continuing on my Krax Rewatches Clone Wars kick

You ever be rewatching your favorite show and then you realize you’re about to get to the sad part and have to sit there on the series homepage for a couple minutes to psych yourself up to get through it?

No? Just me? Okay then.

So! I’m watching “The Jedi Who Knew Too Much” arc and I have some musings on a couple things.

1. I don’t know why I didn’t realize this, but Commander Fox the commander for that maximum security prison. Not all of Coruscant… I think?

In this arc this man just seems so incredibly done. Every person that walks through his door is either an asshole to him directly or creates a problem (read: headache) for him.

Also, I didn’t think about it the first time. But Barriss murdered clones. To set Ahsoka up to take the fall for the bombing. (Whole other conversation I don’t feel comfortable doing a meta piece on, about that) I didn’t really think about that. Her statement about the corruption of the Jedi is one (very bad) thing. But offing a bunch of guard clones as a cover up… is just so fucked up.

Commander Fox found them while chasing Ahsoka. I have to think that the Corrie Guards probably don’t see as much clone death as the front line soldiers. I bet that was gut wrenching for him. And then of course he thinks Ahsoka did it. So Anakin and Rex coming down the way being like… noooo she didn’t do it. Had to feel fucking awful.

2. The Council appointed Plo Koon and Anakin to go look for Ahsoka. Obviously Anakin does know her best and would know how best to look for her. But I have to image Plo was not happy about being given that assignment to go hunt down his (sorta) daughter.

And on that note. I really forgot most of this happened but the Wolfpack are the ones who finally find her. Wolffe shoots Ahsoka with the stunner. How did that feel for him? His little (sorta) sister. I know in the show he didn’t even hesitate. But I have to believe that he didn’t like doing it.

Rex and Wolffe physically restraining her on the transport 😖😭 Not her two big brothers! You just know Rex wants to throw up he feels so terrible about what’s going on.

3. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. Fuck Tarkin. Fuck him, his poofy pants and his stupid hair cut.

4. The Jedi temple has an overly dramatic “Chamber of Judgement”…. How often do they use that room? What do they do with it when they are not putting sixteen year olds on trial for alleged treason? Who’s idea was this big dumb useless room anyway?

5. The guard ripping off her padawan braid felt really aggressive and sort of violating…. I don’t have any further elaboration on that

6. Anakin and Padmé showing up see her in prison is like your mom and dad coming to pick you up from detention or something…. Also I LOVE Padmé’s outfit and hair in this scene

7. I know a lot of people criticize Obi Wan for not defending Ahsoka. And I do tend to fall into that crowd. But Papa Plo didn’t either. And that hurts worse honestly

8. Not the younglings Anakin is gonna murder in about a year or two 😶

9. Anakin looks so happy and proud (of himself) when Barriss confesses… and you can tell he’s not even listening to what Barriss said. Or even thinking about everything that just happened. He just thinks “ope, only 3 more minutes in the episode time for everything to go back to normal”

10. Plo apologizing to Ahsoka just…. hurts….. having to convince the people you care about and you thought cared about you of your innocence is terrible. And the apology honestly falls flat….

11. “This was actually your great trial” “This has made a you a better Jedi than you would have been otherwise” Fuck you Windu. Nobody wants your ‘everything happens for a reason’ bullshit

12. Anakin is the only one she apologizes to. Because he’s the only one who deserves one. No one else even tried to defend her or consider the possibility that she was innocent. Not Obi Wan. Not Plo. Not even Master Yoda.

Why do I like this show? HOW was this made for kids?

And WHY is the arc where Fives dies next?

Okay but yeah Wolffe always tries so hard to put in the face of someone who doesn't care about much about anything but he secretly cares SO MUCH, he's cared from the start and when he realizes he does? It scares him so much (also yeah he's 100% NOT a fuckboy he's too tired for that type of life lol)

But yeah just. The two of us being happy together bc we deserve it, and maaaybe *throws confetti* us having an oopsie baby (bc that's my favorite trope and I really want a baby 🥺) but man u wanna talk about scared? That would absolutely scare him shitless, but Wolffe isn't one to back away from responsibility or half ass anything, so while he'd definitely be scared, I feel like he's be a good and dedicated dad 😭

Ahhhhh you nailed it. Wolffe isn't a fuckboy, but he also isn’t interested in a relationship (until you of course). There is just too much going on for him to focus on a relationship. And then you come around and go "Aww that's funny. Love me 🥺"

Oh shit a baby would scare anyone but you’d have Wolffe shitting his pants. Because yeah he’d be a good dad and support you in whatever decision you make but he is going to be fucking TERRIFIED. Because if he’s still with the GAR what exactly would happen if something happens to him? He can’t exactly tell someone to tell you. Not to mention it would leave you to raise the kid on your own and he doesn’t want that for either of you.

But also if we're talking post-order 66 that might also be a motivation for him to leave. He realizes he doesn't want it anymore, not without the Papa Plo and the Wolfpack. He wants you and your little family 🥹
