May I request some headcanons of Lapis and Pearl stalking and trying to impress their Half-gem S/O like some sort of competition? I don't see Lapis as someone who would share her S/o
Pearl is certainly more subtle about her ‘crush’ on you, or at least tries to be. Whereas Lapis will just confront you whenever she feels like it, Pearl will take her time stalking you around and watching you from afar.
Lapis certainly isn’t pleased by this however, and starts leaving notes around for you to find, a sticky note on your fridge in the middle of the night, a slip of paper on your desk when you’re not looking, the messages vary from small compliments commenting on your outfit to creepy notes talking about how sweet you look in your sleep.
Pearl, not to be outdone, resorts to stealing your things, taking your hairbrush or stealing clothes straight from your wardrobe. And you swore that shirt you left on the bed was there yesterday-
Things gradually escalate til you’re paranoid, buying new locks for your windows every other day to no avail, as somehow whoever the trespasser is manages to find another way in. It’s then that Lapis approaches you, whom you barely know, offering shelter from your supposed stalker. You’re running out of options by now so you accept, much to your own misfortune.
With Lapis living with you, the amount of notes and stolen things certainly decreases in amount, yet for some reason you don’t feel any safer, which quickly turns out to be accurate when you’re kidnapped by Pearl, and thus the cycle continues.

Hello!! Can I please have a Pearl x really clumsy Reader? Like I thought the other day that she would probably be annoyed with me if she met me irl or something because I'm very clumsy and I happen to cause a lot of accidents. It's been kinda making me feel very self conscious now because I now worry that my friends and family are annoyed by my clumsiness too. I would appreciate this so much if you could do this for me, and thank you so much in advance! Thank you for running this blog!!
Hello! I know the feeling very much I’m a pretty clumsy person too ;w; I hope this makes you feel a little bit better!
Tumblr media
You and Pearl walk side by side, Pearl talking energetically about something new that she read about something or the other but as much as you enjoy her company you find yourself drowning her out as you’re paying attention to where you’re stepping. A sharp, “Y/N? Are you listening to me?” breaks your focus for one second as you look up at her feeling a little embarrassed, “Yes Pear-?”
The last syllable is lost as you’ve missed a step on the stairs leading down to the beach and you feel your body toppling over.
Pearl walks down fast to catch up with you at the bottom of the stairs, “Y/N? Are you ok?” and you feel all your usual apologies come rushing out, “Yes yes, I’m fine I’m just really clumsy and I’m so so sorry if I’ve spoilt the day or anything.” Pearl lets out a laugh, “Spoil the day? Y/N being clumsy is nothing to be ashamed about, why, ALL humans are quite clumsy! As far as I’ve seen.”
You feel your face turn a dark shade of red as you stare hard into the sand, you’ve expected that kind of reaction, knowing Pearl but hearing it was an entirely different thing. She didn’t mean any harm, of course. It still very much stung though.
Pearl spots your red face and kneels down to look at you, “I’m.. sorry, that… sounded… bad.” She pulls out a box of bandages from her gem and starts applying them to the scratches you got from the wooden staircase, “You know, some people are clumsy because they’re born with flat feet, and the number of accidents can be lessened with proper footware. I suggest we go check that out right now!”
She gets up quickly, pulling you up with her, “I wonder if Steven is capable of being flat footed I must check that when we get home..”
As she prattles on again, you notice that she’s gripping your hand pretty tightly as you both start walking, to stop you from falling again perhaps?
… It doesn’t really feel so bad.

I have been absolutely THRILLED at how much SpinelxReader stuff has popped up in such a short timespan. It's super great after scavenging for PearlxReader stuff for the past few years haha
The funny thing is that a year ago I could barely find anything on Tumblr that wasn’t at least two years old and I had to rummage through Wattpad because most of the X Reader stuff were there(there were a few I liked, but I’m the type of person who gets turned away by bad punctuation/lack of paragraph spacing so it was still hard to find some). And God forbid if you were looking for someone not in the main cast.
But now there’s a lot more and it’s the best time to be a self shipper in the SU fandom. Although I can’t help but wonder how those who aren’t into self shipping feel about it. Haven’t seen anyone complaining about it so that’s good.

Could you possibly do a pearl x reader with 32 (I think I'm in love with you and I'm terrified) please! Thanks!! It's alright if you don't want to though
Disclaimer: I have never ever written a reader-perspective fic, so we’ll see how this goes.
Everything aches. Your back feels like it’s been broken in two, your head is pounding, pounding, pounding away. You’re vaguely aware of noises, but they’re underwater sounds. Far away. Muffled.
It takes you a second to re-orient yourself. Up is this way, down is that way. Your axe, where’s your battle-axe? The sky is lighting up with fireworks, or are they explosions? Gems are cheering. No, not cheering. Screaming. In agony, in fear, in rage.
Your world is war.
“Topaz!” A hulking mass flies over your head and explodes, creating a crater in the ground the size of a small ship. Your hearing is still messed up, it takes you a second to place the sound-
“Pearl!” Despite everything, you smile. “I’m here!”
“Keep calling!”
Your scream joins the others and while you navigate through the sea of bodies, you summon your battle-axe. Whatever gem had knocked you down is gone now, or moved on, probably thinking you dead. Yellow flashes across your vision and you don’t think. Your axe buries itself in the gem’s chest, right in the center of the yellow diamond emblem. The enemy doesn’t even have time to scream before she is gone. Her gem drops to the ground and shatters with barely a whimper beneath your blade.
And then there she is, appearing out of the storm like a beacon of light. Her hair is disheveled and her clothes are torn, but Pearl, you’ve learned, is most beautiful in battle. It’s what she was made for.
“Are you alright?” She asks, and you only have to nod while you assume a back-to-back position with her, weapons raised.
“You?”
“Fine. I’m fine. What about Rose?”
It takes you a second. “I…didn’t see her. I’m sorry-”
“Don’t be.” Pearl cuts you off, spins, and cuts deep into a gem’s body with her spear. You can’t see her but you can hear the tiredness in her voice. The defeat. You don’t remember how long it’s been since you’ve been separated from your squad, how long since you’ve found Pearl alone and abandoned in the battle field.
It was a suicide mission. You remember that much. Pearl went off to die, but she didn’t. You’re both relics, discarded things, not meant to be here.
But you are here. You’re still fighting, even if everyone has forgotten.
“Topaz-” Pearl starts to say, but stops when a shadow falls over the both of you. Ice trickles down your spine, and you look up, up, up. A gem fusion the size of a mountain is stomping towards your corner of the battlefield. No, you realize, not a fusion. A cluster. A hulking monster, screaming in pain along with everyone else, flailing its uncountable arms, looking for blood to satiate its agony.
And it’s coming straight towards you. It sees you and Pearl. It wants death.
Somehow, you know. You can feel it in the center of your gem; it’s time. It just is, simple as that. And you’re calm, you don’t fear it.
“Pearl,” you say, even though she doesn’t hear you, too busy battling a gem bigger than she is. “Pearl, I think I’m in love with you.” Without waiting for an answer, you take off running. Enemy Homeworld gems melt into a blur, your legs burn from effort, your axe is heavy but strong. Arrows of light shoot past your body but you are wind and they are less than nothing.
Pearl has to find Rose Quartz. She has to live long enough to tell her what the two of you saw down in the Kindergarten. The rebel gems must be alerted of the genocide that’s coming because Rose is the only one who can save any of them from it.
But she won’t be saving you. You’ve searched for millennia for a purpose, and now you have it.
“I love you,” you whisper, and then leap into the air, axe swinging. Gradually, so gradually, you come down from your high arc, speeding towards the cluster like  a comet. It screeches from half a dozen mouths with teeth sharper than knives. “I love you, and I’m terrified.” You’re bringing the axe down, the cluster is swinging for you, you’re so close...and the world is snuffed out like a candle.
Later, as you limp back into your cracked gem, you think of her. You watch her search the battlefield for you. There are tears on her face. They fall when she sees the cluster’s body melting away and your axe buried in the dirt next to it. Everything is fading, drowning in the water again. You are being pulled down, but it’s peaceful where you are. You’ve given her a chance to give everyone else a chance. Many more will die, but not all of them. Not all.
As you wait, the sensation of floating washes over you. It takes the last of your strength to peer outside your gem. Everything has turned pink. Like wildflowers, you think, pink like ocean pearls.
You are less than nothing, but still you are here. For a long time, you are the first. Alone in the depths of the Temple but safe nonetheless.
Eventually, others join you. And even though you are too weak to look at the world, you can still sense still other presences. Those that survived. They come and go, but as the room fills with others like you, she always lingers.
You drift for a long, long time. You can feel nothing.
Nothing, that is, until a human takes your gem in his hands, raises it to his mouth, and licks it.

Feel free to ignore if this seems too weird but Pearl finding out you are pregnant from a previous relationship? How would she react? Especially after the Rose ordeal... Thank you in advance 🤗
She’s very scared at first, unsure of how to handle this kind of situation. Her gut reaction is to try to convince you not to have it, afraid she might be replaced or ignored. But if you insist on keeping it the next best thing she can think of is convincing herself she’ll just have to make extra sure you never get the chance to act like that, taking over a secondary parental role whether or not you agree with it.

Oh my God... after those 4 episodes... just imagine mega pearl/or both pearls in general developing an unhealthy obsession with reader.
Ah. ❤️❤️ (also can I just mention how much I adore their design?)
Both VB and Pearl had already lost the same person before, so it was only natural that they would fall for the same person again. The second they laid eyes on you, they seperately knew they had to get closer to you.
Both pearls met you at different points in time, Pearl had known you for a while, never scrounging up the courage to speak to you, whilst VB had only started seeing you around in the past year. Both harboured minor obsessions for you, how could they not? Not when you reminded them so much of what they’d lost. Both were equally determined to not lose you again.
When BP went to Steven for help with her crack, you asked if there was any way you could help, and although Steven said that that was unlikely, BP was quick to request that you stay, just in case. Steven decided that the best course of action was to go to Pearl for help, who mentioned the Shell, a place for pearls in need of repair.
It was decided the best course of action was to take the warp pad to the Shell, in hopes getting VB’s eye fixed somehow. Upon arrival, you couldn’t help but marvel at the architecture, it was built specifically to prevent any sea water penetrating the thick shell, and it seemed the only way of getting in and out was via the warp pad. The four of you made your way through the building, stopping now and then to point out anything interesting. Luckily the Shell recognised Steven as Pink Diamond, and allowed all of you entrance.
Throughout your exploration of the building, you couldn’t help but notice VB and Pearl’s frequent stares at you, gazing at you whilst a bright shade of pink or teal and more often than not biting down on their lower lip, turning away whenever they noticed you making eye contact. There was a point when they started noticing each other’s line of sight, looks of distrust and unease crossing their faces. You considered pointing all this out to Steven, but he seemed engrossed in finding a solution to the current problem at hand.
“No, no, no! Shell stop it!” Steven hammered against the clam shell keeping Pearl and VB imprisoned, yells of protest bouncing off as the Shell began send lines of electricity up and down the two pearls, ignoring your cries of objection as you and Steven struggled to make it cease the rejuvenation process. “Oh.” Steven took a couple steps back behind you, as cracks started to appear in the shell, breaking apart into small shards as a tall silhouette of light rose up above the two of you.
“WARNING. UNAUTHORISED ENTITY FOUND WITHIN THE FACILITY, DEFENSE PROTOCAL ACTIVATED.” Dozens of vine-like tendrils extended from the walls of the room, reaching out to attack the fusion standing before you. Without hesitation, the fusion seized it’s weapon from it’s gem, tearing each one apart with one rapid manoeuvre. Swiftly, she gently picked up you and Steven off of the floor, and elegantly danced and dodged her way past all of the building’s security measures, hurling her weapon through several layers of it to send Steven through after, and shielding you from harm with her arm as she slid to the ground, a look of utter adoration on her face as she studied your curled up form. In that moment, she decided that two heads were better than one. After all, it was so much easier to protect you this way, and what else was she supposed to do but protect and love you? Especially when the end result was this, the love of her life huddled in her embrace.

Could we possibly get something about Pearl?
Heck yeah you can
You were just a normal human living in beach city, you were one of Greg’s friends, and one day he dragged you along to show you these ‘awesome new people’ he met.
You and Pearl met shortly after Rose met Greg. She didn’t like you at first, she wasn’t sure why she felt such a tugging feeling in her chest when you were around, and why it felt empty when you were gone. Emotions weren’t her strong suit, and so she tried to remedy the problem by ignoring you until it went away.
It didn’t work.
The gap in her chest grew worse and worse, and when Rose announced she was dating Greg she eventually gave in and decided to just start spending as much time with you as possible.
You were confused by the sudden inexplicable change in behaviour but you decided to ignore it and hope she was just feeling apologetic for treating you like dirt for so long.
Garnet started trying to warn you away from the temple, telling you that it wasn’t safe. However Rose encouraged it, saying she wanted to learn as much about humans as possible, and Amethyst seemed happy with it, having a new friend around, so you continued hanging out there.
You began to become more aware of how frequently Pearl was around. She never seemed to let you leave her sights, acting like an overbearing mother. You voiced your concerns to Rose, but she was thrilled that Pearl has found someone she was fond of, let alone a human. However, Garnet overheard the conversation and told you about certain visions she had had. Of Pearl snapping and killing almost everyone. Most of you hoped it wasn’t true, and maybe Garnet was wrong, but you couldn’t help that tiny seed of doubt.
A year had passed and Pearl suggested you started staying at the temple. “You spend so much time here after all, it’s just be more convenient for everyone!” You didn’t want to, but the peer pressure induced by Amethyst and Greg, as well as Pearl listing every good point for staying at the temple, and every bad one for staying at home convinced you to give in.
Now she was with you 24/7. Some nights you even caught her watching you sleep. It was terrifying. And then came the day she confessed her affection for you. What could you say? You were scared of saying yes and petrified of saying no. Rose and Greg were delighted for you two. The only one who seemed apprehensive was Garnet, but she only frowned and let it happen.
It was a decade later. Rose was gone and Steven was born. He was adorable, the light of your life, or at least a sad excuse for a life. Garnet had been mysteriously shattered a few years prior. Everyone was devastated when they heard. Nobody had any idea how it happened, no clues were left, no evidence of a fight. Just two red and blue gems lying on the ground. You stood there weeping as Pearl slowly brushed her fingers through your hair reassuringly, telling you it would be all right. But how could it be? Nothing would ever be all right again. That you were certain of.
