Dreaming of the stars together, just like they did so long ago, like nothing was ahead of them or behind them.

Town Potluck
Vulcan's Voice || Isla's Voice
The fire was lit and cooking a large meal under palm leaves, a technique Vulcan had gotten very good at during his time living on the island. He had already finished his third cup of kava while cooking and his body was absently swaying to the music as he watched steam rise up from the palm leaves. With the beat, he turned toward the sound of a playful giggle, expecting to be met with one of his teens giving an exasperated sigh, he impulsively gave a wide, cheesy grin toward the direction of the giggle.
The playful sound did in fact, not come from a teenager, and he felt his body stiffen when he saw those damp golden curls. His mouth felt dry. "Oh... he-hey." His face heated up and his voice cracked as he awkwardly waved to her. Isla seemed very pleased to see him and he stepped toward her, doing his best in the haze to turn on his charm for her.
"I heard a rumor there was a pirate roaming these islands again. I thought it best to investigate." She explained, a playful grin gracing her lips.
He swallowed the lump in his throat, unable to improve, he reached toward her. "I had hoped I'd see you again." He felt his breath catch in his broad chest, she was every bit as beautiful as the last day he spent with her. It felt like it had been so long, and yet none of it succeeded in keeping them apart for good. His hopes were high, so much unspoken and he was trapped, staring at the curve of her soft lips.

First Date
Lucy's Voice || Ruby's Voice
Ruby Warner, one of the local teens, texted Lucy in the morning, asking her out on a date. Lucy was well smitten with Ruby since meeting at the Sand Bar early the day before and without hesitation, said yes to the invite.
Ruby was so suave, seeming to know exactly what to say that kept Lucy wanting to know more. Given that it was her first kiss ever, Lucy did her best to be romantic and enticing. "What do your lips taste like?" she asked, pulling Ruby toward her who simply smiled and replied "Magic"
Indeed, Ruby's lips did taste like magic.
Ruby's fingers intertwined with Lucy's. "Come out in the water with me, I want to show you something." Lucy's fear of the water overtook her, unable to explain, she pulled away. "I'm so sorry, um, I can't. My dad is wanting me to go to this thing..."
Ruby was confused but smiled uncertainly. "You mean the Town Potluck? That's not until this evening..." Ruby reached to take Lucy's hands. "It'll be okay if you're scar-"
"Scared?? Me?? Hahaha noway, who would be scared of water hahahaha anyway, my dad is calling, gotta go!" In her panic, Lucy yanked her hands away from Ruby awkwardly and started back towards the shining sand of the beach. Clenching her fists, she took a sharp breath and spun back towards around on her heels, meeting Ruby's gaze who's face turned a bit hopeful.
"I'm sorry I'm so weird, I really like you and I had so much fun." She kissed Ruby's cheek.
"I'll see you later then?" Ruby asked.
"Most definitely."

I took down the pictures of our love and put them in a box. If you want them, take them. I have no need for the pain burned into them.
