Whale sharks eat by sucking in as much water as possible then filter out the food. That's why throwing plastics in the ocean is horrible. #whales #sea #ocean #science #pollution #PlasticsChallenge https://www.instagram.com/p/CBlE1waju61/?igshid=iz0ltfs0vuzq

Stop using plastic and start saving lives Decrease the use of the plastic, increase the age of mother Earth The plastic bags you bring home from the supermarket probably end up in a landfill. Every year, more than 500 billion plastic bags are distributed, and less than 3% of those bags are recycled. They are typically made of polyethylene and can take up to 1,000 years to biodegrade in landfills that emit harmful greenhouse gases which affects the environment. Plastics give a helpful hand, but they are polluting our land! Save our best friend earth from the plastic. Say NO to plastic bags as they bring your health from riches to rags! Stop bagging the planet – say NO to plastic bags. Let’s pledge to say NO to single use Plastic #Plasticschallenge #saynoplastic #noplasticneeded #saynotosingleuseplastic #noplasticbags #noplasticbottles #SwachaBharat #MyCleanIndia #environmentfriendly #plasticfreeindia #initiative #auxibleindia #OHM #BringMusicToLife www.auxibleindia.com   (at I.P.Extension) https://www.instagram.com/p/B3h4p7gHT95/?igshid=1v7xs8o0llp0s

Day 1
Weight and exercise talk Today it started, my bmi is 25.16 a bit to high than “advised” but more important higher than i like. I drove my bike to work today which is a 45 minute travel.
Plastics challenge talk This morning at my work i took a glass for the water cooler instead of the plastic trow away cups. I was at family the rest of the day we had potatoes and a type of fresh cabbage so no plastic there. I only drink water and juices so no problem with plastic bottles there. I do have a plastic bottle i use to carry water around but i can clean it and reuse it over and over again. I realised the biggest issue for not buying food packed in plastic for me is.going to be cheese. I absolutly love cheese. So i will have to.find a solution! I will try to get rid of the food i still have packed in plastic asap. No trowing away but eating it.
Budget talk For my electronic budget i have decided an amount. It will be 75 euros a month and i.can save up for big things. Iam already half my budget of this month cause i orderd a webcam before i started this challenge. I will see this month and next month (august and september) if 75 euros on food is enough, I can high it up a bit if i have to, i do wanna loose some weight but not by starving!
Random talk I am going to do some.research to see how much plastic an average person trows away each year.

Scientists have classified a new type of rock, called 'plastiglomerate'. It's main form of generation is from campfires on beaches melting and fusing the microplastics in the sand beneath them. #science #plastics #pollution #PlasticsChallenge #plasticfree https://www.instagram.com/p/CBrcqRDjRNb/?igshid=pum40igee92h

Reduce Your Use: Take the 30-Day Plastics Challenge
It’s estimated that over 5 trillion pieces of plastic are currently polluting our planet’s vulnerable oceans. As you can imagine, this is doing serious harm to marine wildlife such as sea turtles and birds, who can easily get tangled or mistake the plastic for food. The good news is that there are simple, everyday ways you can help make our oceans safer for marine life.
This coming Monday is International Plastic Bag Free Day, so there’s no better time to start the 30-Day Plastics Challenge! About 5,000 people have already signed up and are making a real impact by choosing to use reusable shopping bags, refill water bottles instead of tossing them, and drink straight from the cup instead of through a plastic straw. By taking the challenge, you will not only reduce the amount of plastic you use in your everyday life—you’ll also spread awareness of this issue and encourage others to get involved.
Check out the video below to learn more, and sign up for the challenge.
