Update: 28 April 2023
(Links in the pinned post)
Original Puyoman packaging scans added to the archive.
(I assure you this was a coincidence, I believe this was offered to me before the new ones came about.)
At the time of writing it’s the only thing found in the new “Puyoman” folder.
Scans provided by someone going by MermaidsScale. Thank you.

I AM GONNA HAIRDRY THIS MADOU MONOGATARI ENCYCLOPEDIA!!
Been two years since I've done that I think.
Oh a relationship chart.
Where is this guy? I don't remember him from MM1 MSX2.
Witch and male Witch.
Imagine being the element of water/fire and personifying yourself however you want to.
I've never seen this guy before. Not even in fan art. And I've seen the Indian Man above in fan art before.
U tellin me dis boid never made it to Puyo Puyo?
I did a double-take. Those swimsuits look colored like their skins with blurred eyes.
He's a frog.
Okay, can we stop talking about how dark Madou Monogatari is and tell me more about this cute Scarecrow enemy I've seriously NEVER heard of.
Okay, can we stop talking about the concept of Madou Monogatari being dark and gush over this goofy Jason and the argonauts Skeleton-T from those "dark" versions?
Robot
I want you to know that Gao girl has gotten the largest image so far. Not even Arle, Schezo, or DP compares.
The Banshee Trio are No. 2.
Nice ribbon. Hopefully it doesn't tangle in her wings.
Look at Vampire. What a DORK!!
Puyoman.
MOMOMO SAKE BABEY!!! The good stuff!
Some cool MSX2 concept stuff:
This is ridiculous:
And it ends with a 20-page or so comic but that's for some other time.
I'll scan another day.

So Puyo Puyo DA! was a decent enough game. It’s really lacking in content and music (there are only 8 characters, 8 stages, and 8 songs) but it’s fine. The character redesigns are fun and it incorporates chains and garbage Puyo in a way that makes it feel like a Puyo rhythm game. It has no story or character dialogue so there’s nothing outside of the stage progression of the single player mode besides multiplayer. The music selection is also fine but even Puyo Puyo fans won’t recognize all of them since some have pretty obscure origins.
Some are easy like how Memories of Puyo Puyo originated from the original Madou Monogatari as the dungeon theme and Puyo Puyo Arcade as the dialogue theme while Toy of Puyo Puyo is from Piyo Puyo MSX2/FDS as a stage theme. Songs like I Sing and Puyo Puyo (DA Original Remix) come from the more obscure Puyoman album. Then there’s Shakunetsu no Fire Dance, which is a cover of the theme from the Super Puyo Puyo 2 commercial. It’s not a bad selection, but it does feel pretty lacking.
It’s a game you can play through all three difficulties for one character (the training, normal, and hard modes) and then never touch again because PaRappa the Rapper and Space Channel 5 did the same kind of gameplay better.
