★ Have you read anything by Susan Dennard yet? I have read @stdennard’s Witchlands series, aside from Witchshadow (🙈), but haven’t read anything else by her (yet!). ★ What are your favorite bookish companies of 2022? One of mine is @the.arcane.society! They are a fantasy and paranormal romance subscription box founded in 2022, and are a sister company to @themystic.box and @bellebookbox! This year they featured @laurathalassa’s Four Horseman series—a series I hold near and dear to my heart, and all of their editions are just so, so, so gorgeous. ★ What did you read last, what are you reading now, and what are you reading next? My last read was The Prince’s Poisoned Vow (amazing), my current is Artificial Intelligence (also amazing, I love Murderbot), and my next will *finally* be Song of the Marked—which I’ve been told is amazing! If @xenatine raves about the series all the time, it’s got to be good, right? 😍 Song of the Marked is the first book in @authorsmgaither’s Shadows and Crowns new adult epic fantasy series and I’ve been looking forwarding to reading it! I’ve heard the romance is fantastic, the world building on point, and that there’s excellent banter and battles with monsters. 😮 The first three books in the series are out now, with the fourth set to release at the end of the month. The series has also gotten some gorgeous new covers for readers to enjoy alongside the old ones! ★ What is your ideal reading spot? Lies We Sing to the Sea by @s_e_c_underwood was featured in @illumicrate’s March box! ★ What are you doing this weekend? This morning we went to a birthday party at the indoor pool, and I’m about to start getting some flowers we bought potted into our hanging planters. I also have 30+ research papers to grade, which I hope to get started on this evening, and work on for most of tomorrow. It’s such a beautiful weekend here though, definitely need to take advantage of it! For books, I am about 75% through The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King and LOVING it. I want to listen to a quick audiobook while I work outside though, so I’m about to start @ashleybennettauthor’s Muscles & Monsters.
