Mew treats Ray's alcohol and drug addiction like a scolding parent, which I find fascinating given that he literally held Ray in his arms while he sobbed about how worthless he was and even tried to end his life. Like, Ray clearly has a different relationship with drugs than Top, but Mew seems to equate them.
I keep saying I don't want to rip on Mew, but I feel like Mew is the one character who can say he has seen Ray at rock bottom, and yet I just get this general sense of apathy from him. Which, fair--he doesn't return Ray's feelings. But Ray is one breakdown away from doing something he won't ever come back from--as evidenced this episode--and yet it is Sand who chases Ray into the parking lot. It's Sand who saves him not only from killing others, but potentially killing himself.
Wait these pictures look like ray is in some medical room of some sort maybe just maybe rehabilitation and sand is with him, also he could be wearing sands jacket as well馃ズ
imagine having to work with this cast of coworkers that would be so funny. what do you mean one of them tried to defect and almost died because of it. what
I'll probably make a proper lineup of all my interpretations of the characters but Man. that's probably gonna take me a while
I love how, from Sand's perspective, Ray's behavior is getting more and more context. Sand just learned last episode about Ray's mom's alcoholism. He also learned that Ray blames himself for her depression. And now this episode, Sand watches him blow up at everyone and sabotage himself in the process...immediately followed by Ray attempting to drive off drunk.
It's frustrating because as viewers, we know that Ray's crush on Mew has a lot to do with how he views himself and his dependency issues. Of course, Ray won't admit to this, but I think Sand will slowly piece this together. He saw the way Ray spiraled at the end of this episode, and I think he was one of the only people who saw it for what it was: not simply an asshole ripping on his friends, but a broken guy in desperate need of help. Lashing out was one of Ray's only ways of expelling all the pent-up anger and sadness inside.
So the tattoo scene isn't wiped out it's on the oneD app, so maybe they either forgot to add it in the yt version, or who knows, they just cut it, but a fan noticed on Twitter and posted the clip its deleted now but I was able to screen it before it went poof lol
