Last week, yet another Guinness World Record has been set on an h/p/cosmos treadmill! The “Greatest distance run in relay on a treadmill in 24 hours” was set with impressive 380.481 km (almost 380.5 km) in the heart of Munich at the SportScheck flagship store! 24 athletes and hundreds of supports from all over Germany joined live in the store lobby or via stream to support each other during the #recordrun23 – always running ahead of time!

Two h/p/cosmos treadmills (quasar for the record run and pulsar for warm up) with MCU6 terminal were the treadmills of choice for this endurance record and – no question - fulfilled their job. We would like to thank SportScheck, On and the teams of Communico GmbH - Events und Kommunikation and Jakobs Medien GmbH for the amazing effort that lifted this event to the next level -  making it a social event for running enthusiasts in Germany and beyond!

 

Of course, our treadmills recorded way more data than only distance and time! One impressive figure: the steps done within 24 hours and necessary for 380.481 km! Take a good guess and put the your estimate in the comments!

Ninja Warrior's Nullarbor Instagram stunt 'just plain stupid'

A PERTH contestant on the upcoming ‘Ninja Warrior’ television series might be used to daring and exhilarating challenges, but none like standing out of the sunroof of a car while driving on the Nullarbor.

Bronson Foxx Norrish posted the video to his Instagram on Friday as part of an update in his self-proclaimed record attempt to drive from Melbourne to Perth in an electric car.

The short video shows Norrish standing on the seat of his car with his shirt off looking at the camera as drives along Eyre Highway.

When he aims the camera down, a device can be seen fastened to the steering wheel while Norrish, who is almost entirely on the outside through the sunroof of his car says: ‘no hands’.

Police Minister Michelle Roberts described the stunt as “just plain stupid”.

“The only thing he is likely to break is his neck,” she said.

Despite the post having only been up for a matter of hours, Instagram users and presumably friends of the WA man have condemned the reckless act.

“OMFG Bronson get the f— in the car,” wrote one person.

“You know you have to get to Perth to succeed in said #recordattempt,” said another.

As if filming yourself while standing out of a car wasn’t enough, the athlete suggests to viewers in other video updates that he’s driving fatigued too.

“I’ve got three more days of no sleep,” Norrish says while leaving Adelaide.

In a more recent update he says he’s “working on four hours sleep over the past 48 hours.”

Record-setting motorcycle ace Zef Eisenberg and his MADMAX Race Team have got a new target in their sights.

On the weekend of April 6-7, Eisenberg will attempt to become the first person to achieve a British land speed record on bike and car within the same year.
