There Once Was A Quaint Town Found Somewhere Or Other In La California, Which Was Quite Charming As The Industrial Giants Transformed It Into A Host Of Celebrities, Movie Stars, And Glamour At The Time, The Sparkling Sight And Glitz Of It All Was Enough To Distract Anyone From Their Problems. No One In Town Was Worried About Any Trouble Beyond The Distance, At Least

All The Shops And Homes, Schools And Diners Were Abuzz With The Energetic Laziness Of Late Summer, Kids Were Out Of School, Many Markets Sold Fresh Produce, And Fireflies Lit Up The Sky At Night, Not A Care Was The Furthest From Anyone's Mind.

But That Evening, An Ill Wind Blew Hot And Cold, Carried All The Way From A Tornado Out West, When It Swept Through The Local Swamp, A Battle Began To Brew.

One Was A Green Frog By The Name Of Kermit Who Had Lived Here Since He Was A Young Tadpole And Had The Dream Of Pursuing A Big Career Of Adoring Fans And Admiration, The Other Was Another Green Frog Like Him Named Constantine Only He Was More Into Himself Than Others, But Unlike His Amphibian Buddy, He Preferred To Scourge Through Deep Places And Come Up With Many Malicious Cunning Plans Than The Grand High Society Life.

Those Times Were In The Past Now. The Swamp Held Memories In Pure Darkness. It Was A Dangerous Place, Too Easy To Get Hurt. ''It's Either Me Or Them. Ya Gotta Choose!'' Constantine Circled His Old Buddy ''Ya Can't Be Part Of The Swamp And Be A Leader Of Some Vaudeville Troupe. Ya Can't Love Us Both!'' ''But I Do Love You Both, Why Can't You See That?'' Kermit Stepped Towards Him, Eyes Deep And Voice Calm, But His Companian Only Scoffed At Him.

He Never Scoffed At Him Like This Before, Kermit Only Sighed, For Constantine, That Meant Submission, That He Sacrificed Dominance, But For Him, This Wasn't About Who Was Leading. That Didn't Matter Anymore For Kermit, Not Since He Met His New Friends And Of Course, The Love Of His Life.

I HAVEN'T THOUGHT OF MY KND OTP IN FOREVER

As terrible as my fic "Finding Happiness" was, I still really like the idea of Kuki's childhood being so important to who she was that when she is decommissioned, her personally takes a 180 due to bullying after the fact.

BUT WHAT IF NIGEL did come back, and he tells the KND "WHY DID YOU DECOMMISSION MY TEAM, NOT EVEN NUMBUH 5 MADE THE CUT TO TO THE TND? AWWWW HECK NO, IMMA GO GET 'EM BACK AND RECOMMISSON THEM."

And then obviously he succeeds and does a lot of research on them so he can find them and get a feel for what they're like now and he's stunned by how quiet and insecure his old friend has become. So much that he saves her last so he can tell the others to get ready for a real emotional blow, because ain't no way is getting her memories back going to undo all the emotional damage the bullying and the pressure from her parents (mostly her mom) to be like them has given her.

So she gets her memories back and it's such a disaster that for a while Kuki is absolutely convinced that they either got the wrong girl or they're false memories entirely. But eventually she realizes her emotions connect with the memories a bit too well for them to be anyone's memories but her own.

But she has a terrible time believing her old friends are even going to like her anymore. She was so different back then!

But the best idea I got from this little what-if is what if her interactions with Wally change the most... because his tendency to go from 0 to 100 in his anger and his hot-headedness make her flinch, thinking he's about to hurt her in same way? Because of all the bullying she faced?

So every time Wally gets angry and does something like punch his locker in frustration, so hard that he BREAKS or DAMAGES something, that Kuki flinches or takes a step back with her eyes shut tight, like he's about to hurt her, despite her memories telling her he used to be the kid that protected her all the time.

And that just baffles him.

Wally: "What am I doin' to scare her so badly?!? It's not like I'm gonna do anything to her! I don't do that! Not to girls! And it's not like it's MY fault that school is stupid and people are stupid and that EVERYTHING is stupid! But she doesn't need to be afraid of me!"

Hoagie: "Yeeeeaaaaah. Go ahead and tell her that. I'm sure that'll make her feel SO much better."

Wally: "Maybe I will! I mean, c'mon! We used to hang out all the time! Why's she so afraid of me now? I never bullied her!"

Abby: "I think 'used to' is the phrase you're missing. Listen man, we ALL need to start over with her. Having her memories back and standing around her for a couple of months aren't gonna fix anythang. We have to help her learn to trust us again. We were gone for too long."

Wally: "It's not like I WANTED to be gone! That's not our fault!"

Nigel: "Numbuh Four!!!"

Wally: "What?!?"

Nigel: "Perhaps instead of making everyone else the problem, you should open your eyes and get a grip! Learn to calm down and stop blaming everyone else for your problems! Or else she will NEVER feel safe around you! Do you want that, Numbuh Four? Do you want Numbuh Three to never trust you, to always be a red flag to her?!?"

Wally: "..."

Nigel: "That's what I thought! So stop being an idiot. For her sake."

And because Wally cares so much, he finally tries to learn to calm down. And she starts to trust him again.

Wouldn't that just be... so epic? That trying to reconnect with her would give him that kind of character growth?

And in turn, she'd be one step closer to opening up and being more like the girl she remembers.

Fandoms I write for: I mostly write for Miraculous Ladybug, starting in the fandom late 2017. In the past (about 2010-2013), I was almost exclusively writing for the “Hey, Arnold!” fandom. While not as many, I’ve also started up some Fruits Basket stories once the reboot began airing last year. Beyond those normal fandoms, I’ve also thrown in random fics for any old thing that has caught my attention: a couple of stories for the Enderverse series, a random story based on a song about zombies, a one-shot teaser about a Cirque du Soleil show, and oddly only one Legend of Zelda story even though that’s probably my favorite fandom outside of ML. I’ve also had some “fanfics” that were MOSTLY original works based vaguely in the worlds of pre-established properties, such as backstories and side stories for my D&D characters, a short-lived attempt to recap the World of Darkness - Vampire: The Masquerade LARP I was in, and stories for the original characters I created for an X-Men play-by-post. The PbP, called X-Future, was a game where all of the playable characters were OCs that only occasionally interact with canon Marvel characters.

OK, this became long because that’s just who I am... 9_9 So... if you want to know more about me, check below the break. ^_^

Favorite story I wrote: I have a multi-chapter story and a one-shot. Both are for ML. The multi-chapter story is Peeping Tomcat, and it is my magnum opus! It started off as one of the first-ever fanfics I wrote for the fandom, and then I realized it had LOADS more story to tell. It is the first multi-chapter story I’ve completed, despite starting and abandoning about a half-dozen before it. This is my baby! The story is about Chat Noir checking in on Marinette once when he thought she was in danger, and then got addicted to innocently spying on her in her bedroom in order to learn more about her while she’s relaxed and most “herself”. I have a sequel that has been in the works for nearly 2yrs now. Yes, I AM still working on the sequel One and the Same, in case any of my readers were nervous about that....

The one-shot is Build Your Own Luck which is a headcanon story about where I believe that lucky charm bracelet Marinette gave Adrien originally came from. It’s a sweet family-bonding story that I loved so much that I’m tying it into my Peeping Tomcat canon. The story behind The BraceletTM will appear in One and the Same.

I also really love one of those “mostly original” stories for X-Future. It was a story originally written by @cyhyr‘s spouse, but when I corrected him on how my character Willow would have truly acted in that situation we decided to make it a collab story. Then it became monstrous, and I think I overwhelmed him. So it’s kind of been in limbo for a few years, but I periodically go back to that project every couple of months, really wanting to get it back down to a manuscript he can manage so we can complete it. For anyone interested, the as-of-now-unofficially-abandoned story is Please, Let Me Explain. In the roleplay, his character Devon left the Xavier Institute to find out more about the parents that abandoned him as an infant. About 1/2hr later, the school gets destroyed in an attack, and the surviving students and faculty believe Devon had something to do with it. Two years later, Devon returns to the school, surprised to find out there were any survivors after spending the last 20 months or so “avenging” all of the students’ deaths. My character Willow is pissed at Devon. He wants to prove his innocence to her. Things are complicated....

Story I was nervous to post: I mean, I’m always nervous to put my heart and soul out there; screaming into the void. Especially when I write things that are more original-leaning. Or when I’m writing gifts for people, especially for those fandom exchanges. Those are terrifying because you know virtually nothing about the person you’re writing for, so you don’t truly know if they’ll like it. I still have a couple of stories that resulted in complete radio-silence from the receiver. 

The one I was MOST nervous about though? Probably one I’m still nervous about sharing here. It’s my first-ever published smut for a fandom I didn’t even know existed until last summer and has seemingly died off since the book series completed back in like 2012. My story is called Sparks for the Moment and is for the story Bitterblue within the Seven Kingdoms Trilogy (also known as the Graceling Series). It’s a bittersweet sex scene that takes place between canonical scenes at the end of the story, so beware spoilers.

How do I choose titles:  Oh lord, how DO I choose titles!? It’s usually a truly grueling process because I try to stick to 4 rules of thumb:  1. Something that is significant to the story, be it an item or a phrase or a theme, etc. 2. Something that gives you an idea of the feel of the story based on the title (I have no clue if I ever succeeded on this) 3. Something easy to remember; generally less than 5 words long. 4. A title that isn’t already being used by another author (this makes things REAL tricky)

Do you outline? Ummmmm.... Once upon a time? No. I was a full-on pantser. Then, more-or-less when I was working on Peeping Tomcat I became more of a plantser. I now have a skeleton of what I want to write, and try to get as much figured out as I can, only for the characters to go “HAHAHA. Nope.” and then I just kinda follow them.

Upcoming project I’m most excited about: When Love Matters. I wanted to work on that between breaks, while I had time to backtrack before more episodes aired. Considering how long OatS is taking though, I might not get to start his project until about the time S4 starts. 9_9

I brought the post back to a draft because I noticed that too.

I posted it on my laptop and went to my mobile to double check everything and the app did this weird thing when I clicked edit and the entire edit page was blank and when I clicked to see how to fix it, my app glitched and post went poof.

Luckily I still have the majority of it saved on my laptop I just gotta redo the last half of it lmaoo.

It shouldn’t take me long but I’m just frustrated with how annoying the apps layout has been changing on me recently.

I shall have this fixed soon! Thank you for reaching out!
