Absolutely devastated over Takahashi sensei's passing. I am who I am because of Yugioh, it's the reason I got interested in illustration and comics, why I wanted to learn graphic design, why I met so many wonderful people...
This series' impact on me is beyond words and I can't thank sensei enough for inspiring me since I was 11... Rest in peace our dear creator, I will try to honor your legacy for the rest of my life.
a lot of love and hard work went into this. i wanted to pay tribute to my fav character & make him look cool, despite the fact that he’s really just a huge NERD who loves DRAGONS! Pls enjoy!!
Yu-Gi-Oh! was so important to teenage me in a number of ways, especially as the shy kid. It's sad to think someone who impacted my life so much is suddenly gone, but I'll always be grateful for his stories. See you in the next world, Takahashi-sensei
Shoutout to the guy who I overheard explaining the entirety of yugioh lore and specifics of the card game to his friends in a waiting line at a concert
Honestly that’s the kind of legacy for something a person could only dream of
At a time when my life was lonely and hard, a boy made a simple wish on a puzzle for friends. Our wish was granted, and it was all because of one man’s talent, dedication, and genuine love for what he did.
Thank you, Kazuki Takahashi. Rest easy, and know your story will carry on in the light.
I am truly heartbroken to hear about Takahashi-sensei's passing. Yu-Gi-Oh has been such a large part of my life, it was the first manga I ever read. I've made so many friends and created things inspired by him. This blog, cosplay and memes, artwork.
Going to watch DSOD as a tribute and play some duel links. He was one of the greats and will be missed, as he was the light in all of our hearts. Our heart of the cards.
Rest in Power Takahashi-sensei, you will live in the heart of all duelists.
