Welcome to the 20th Anniversary celebration and tribute!

If you're here, you're probably a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan past, present, or are just discovering it now! For millions of fans around the world, Yu-Gi-Oh! was a manga we read religiously, or maybe some of us watched the anime. Many around the world still play the game. Others enjoy reading old chapters of the manga, watching the original anime, and still enjoy making new memories around the spinoff series that have come after the original.

Everyone has their own Yu-Gi-Oh! story to tell, and this 20th anniversary of the emotional finale is a perfect time to celebrate everything this story gave us, all the way up to the present day.

Kazuki Takahashi has not been with us for over a year, but there are still many of us who are grateful every day for what he left behind, even if the ending broke many of our hearts.

Throughout the next couple of weeks, I will be posing some questions for you all. Feel free to send an ask or request to submit your answer. You answers can come in the form of paragraphs, maybe a fic, or even art to show your appreciation.

I want this event to be an open forum for us to share stories, and anything that Yu-Gi-Oh! has inspired in many fans. No matter where you are in the fandom or how deep you are in it, this event is meant to help us remember the impact this story had on us. Besides, the ending is too sad to only focus on that.

Keep an eye out for opportunities to share your thoughts, feelings, writings, or art if you feel so compelled.

I'm so glad to announce that today is the 13th Anniversary of my absolute favourite, but unfortunately underrated, anime: Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal 🥳😍

Yeah, Yugioh is my current new hyperfixation lmao. Meant to illustrate a baby version of TK Bakura being ultimately a pawn in the long run for Zorc but honestly imma leave this up to people’s interpretation, since I think this fits both TK Bakura and Ryou.

Also, the way I’m distinguishing them in my mind is: that Yami Bakura is a part of TK’s soul held together with fragments of Zorc; TK Bakura is the version of Bakura that is both the actual dark half of Bakura/the actual Bakura personality without Zorc’s influence; Ryou Bakura is our Bakura, the modern day incarnation of the mostly light portion of TK’s soul.

Also, drawing eyes and messing with procreate effects is pretty fun

This isn't normally a tag I post in but even now in my 30s I'm total trash for Yu-Gi-Oh's Priest Seto/KaibaxKisara pairing. I wrote really crap fanfiction about them in my tweens and teens and... well, does anyone remember Anime Music Videos before YouTube got stupid? Oh yeah. Made lots of those, too.

Fast-forward a few decades and after a year of rough medical stuff I decided to go back and write what I hope is slightly less crap fanfiction about the two (Kaiba and Kisara) finally meeting in the present. I've gotten some nice comments so far and again, I know this is NOT a popular pairing but if anyone else just wants fluffy romance with some real-world themes mixed in, check out my fic "All of Me; All of You" on AO3.
