okay okay okay i’m gonna say 💕 and 👌🏻 but specifically for riva/cullen with leah & marlowe!!

mwah mwah sending u many air kisses thank u for the ask.... i am mostly gonna be focusing on riva because we both know how cullen is but <3 he gets mentions

💕 thoughts on parenting/being a parent?

i feel like cullen's gotta have some kind of complex about it right. like the templars have to give you a complex about it considering the whole marriage and kids thing is frowned upon. i feel like there's gotta be some Complex there bc when does this man Not have a complex

as for riva i truly don't know that he put a lot of thought into parenting/being a parent before like. the immediate reality that he would become one lmfao. like he's definitely heard enough stories to kind of inform An Attitude around parenting (if you're going to bring life into this world you should be prepared to love and nurture it no matter the cost) but i think he's also seen enough to know that the idea of what is best for your child is muddier waters than it would seem on the surface and that what it means to love someone and what it means to nurture someone varies from person to person and that makes parenting much much messier. i mean he travelled with alistair and morrigan aka mommy issues: the people like.

👌 do they think they are/would be a good parent?

i mean it's cullen he could hang stars in the sky for his child and he'd still find a way to do mental gymnastics to make himself a bad parent in his own eyes we all know he is forever and ever stressing about being a good dad

on the other hand riva's great hubris is he believes with 100% conviction he can BECOME good at anything and he is historically good with kids so i think he would believe with full sincerity that he could be a good parent, but as soon as it became an impending reality and not just a hypothetical question then he'd kind of have a mini crisis because he's forced to confront the fact that he doesn't actually know what it is to be a parent because he doesn't have a singular healthy parental figure to his name. like his biological parents abandoned him and all of his adoptive parental figures have kind of fallen from grace and he's spent over ten years trying to unlearn some of the nastier habits that he adopted in order to survive so i think he'd have to be like huh! i cannot pass that on to my kids so wtf do i do. and then he remembers like 80% of his friends have shit parents so he's like oh okay so i just make a list of what NOT to do and work backward from there. crisis over. and ofc he goes through all of that without saying a thing to ANYBODY because he'd rather swallow his left hand whole than have a vulnerable conversation about his emotions

i also decided while writing this that i think he actually marks isolde guerrin on the potential good role models list for the whole connor thing because i have realized some parallels and i think he is for personal reasons extremely sympathetic to her in that regard which is an interesting little character tidbit i will be devouring whole for 3-4 business days so thank u for uncovering that with this ask <3

Keira CouslandThe realization was... tricky for Keira. The last person that she slept with was murdered in front of her. So it was like... “Oh he’s cute... oh shit I like him. How is this going to go wrong now.”

Tamsyn Amell It took a while for Tamsyn. Sex was easy, she and Zevran had both done the the casual sex thing before. But feelings are messy and other than a couple crushes when she was a lot younger, it wasn’t anything she’d done before. So not only did it take a while to realize what was going on, it was even harder to figure out what to do next.

Riva Mahariel Riva is a very affectionate person, and she’s never had trouble saying how she feels. So when she realized what she felt, she basically just went for it.

Fiya TabrisFiya is an oblivious lesbian. She kept her feelings deep inside and didn’t realize Leliana returned them until Leliana told her outright.

Aliss HawkeAliss casually flirts with everyone, especially people as attractive as Fenris. She backed off some when they got to know each other because she didn’t want to cross boundaries when that was clearly a little new and sensitive for him (as compared to Isabela, who she flirts with throughout their friendship as a sign of affection). When she realized that she had real, actual feelings, she got more and more awkward around him because she wasn’t used to interaction without six layers of feigned confidence in the way.

Damon Hawke Damon fell hard and fast for Anders. He was nervous for a bit, since Anders seemed to be putting up walls, but every interaction made him happy.

Lanyla LavellanLanyla has had a lot more crushes than relationships--life as a Keeper’s First took a lot of her time. She flirted casually with Cullen, not thinking that anything would happen, and when Cullen actually responded to it she had a fair amount of time going ohshitwhathappensnextohshit before deciding that this fight against Corypheus meant she might die anyway so she might as well go for it.

Nymeria Trevelyan Nymeria found Bull attractive from the first, and the sex was amazing. It took a while to realize that she what she was feeling were actual feelings, and for a while that made her really nervous because she was afraid that would ruin everything. Then Bull told her about the dragon’s tooth thing, and then they killed a dragon and she decided to take a chance and make the necklaces.

Isenna LavellanIsenna is similar to Sera in that she doesn’t beat around the bush when she feels something. She knew what she felt and what she wanted from Sera and Dagna right away. It took a little while to sort of figure out how they all fit together, but she was confident about it.

Hissera Adaar Hissera used to be confident with women. She thought she was cool and suave, and even thought she traveled too much to do serious relationships, she always felt that things went well. Josie sent that all out the window. Just a casual conversation turned Hissera into a fumbling mess.

Anaan Adaar Anaan felt like he had to tread carefully with Dorian. Anaan wanted a real relationship, but knowing Dorian’s past made him nervous about how to approach things. He didn’t want to freak Dorian out or go too quickly, but he also fell hard pretty quickly.

Alanna TrevelyanAlanna respected Barris from the first. [NOTE: In the AU she’s in, pretty much all of my DAI OCs are together. She’s not the Inquisitor, she’s an Inquisition agent and representative of the Ostwick Trevelyan’s interests. She’s part of the delegation sent to the Templars while others go to the mages because I personally think that you should be able to at least try to reach out to both.] When she met him in the middle of all the chaos with the demon, she thought his leadership was impressive. They worked together more once the Inquisition was at Skyhold, and the crush was kind of a slow build. She was wary about getting into a real relationship, considering that her last one left her pregnant and widowed, but she really started to care about him.

Jaina ShepardRealizing that she had feelings for a Turian was less weird for Jaina than realizing that she had feelings for her best friend. It partly seemed like it came out of nowhere, and partly seemed like the most natural thing in the galaxy. Once she was able to wrap her head around that, and considering that they were barreling towards a suicide mission, she just decided to go for it. Hence the “reach and flexibility” conversation.

Cassie RyderCassie is a gigantic dork. She crushed on Jaal quickly, had a period of “what the fuck I shouldn’t get distracted, and he probably doesn’t find humans attractive, and even if he does like humans why would he like me,” then flirted awkwardly until he laughed and flirted back.

Percy Ryder Percy met Reyes post-Meridian. Cassie had already told him who Reyes was, and he was ready to put up a bunch of walls and not trust this dude. He usually didn’t go for smooth, bad boy types anyway; Percy’s type was usually guys who were just as focused and slightly nerdy as him, guys who were responsible and had legitimate jobs. So the crush was a surprise.

Frederic stubbornly continues on with his research even after all of his staff have perished, and Rylen decides to keep an eye on him (Heroes of Dragon Age has Frederic as a mage, but you are free to ignore that since it's not shown in Inquisition).

(The Wardens are obviously not completely interchangeable, but for the purposes of fic what I want from the pairings is the same. I do think F!Aeducan would probably "get" Sten the best, but the conflict in him falling for a mage is also delightful, and Cousland treading carefully while subverting his expectations would be lovely too)

After a Warden gets his approval high enough, Sten starts to call them kadan, which denotes caring about someone deeply. I'd love to read a story where Sten is head over heels with the Warden, and is extremely confused by it. She is the antithesis of everything he believes about women and bas from what he was raised believing in the Qun. His admiration of her is related most to her control of her abilities and/or battle prowess, but also he loves how practical and dutiful she is. She might find his alien point of view fascinating, enjoy carefully drawing out of him more about himself and his people, and learning to understand him better... she's also just generally into how tall and muscular he is.

Sex in Qunari society is supposed to be divorced from love, and when the topic comes up (with Morrigan) Sten seems disenchanted with the act, as well as certain he would harm a non-Qunari partner. It's not important to me if the relationship is sexual (if you can make it work, of course, I would not complain), I'm more interested in displays of mutual caring and affection with these pairings, whether it be defending each other in battle, or sharing some cookies.

Desire Demon(s)/Solas - Solas might say he's not tempted easily, but we all know he crumpled like wet paper the first time he was shown affection. Lacking a friendly/romanced Inquisitor, perhaps he has friends in the Fade who don't mind keeping him company. Or maybe one of them is perfectly happy to help him work out an unrequited crush on someone in the Inquisition. If this is the case, I'd prefer they weren't named or described so that the person is kept ambiguous, and keep it about how he knows it's the spirit/demon feeding on his emotions but it also happily helps him deal. Also, what would happen if the Desire Demon took on a physical form just to pursue him in the Waking World? Would he get angry or feel like he has to guide them like he did with Cole?

Felassan/Solas - Yeah, so I don't mind if the story takes place before or after the events of Masked Empire, but if it's after, there has to be some mention of how Felassan survived (he'd have to have been Tranquil for at least a little while), and how he manages to forgive Solas. If it's before, something set right after Solas wakes from uthenera would be nice, or if you want to delve into their relationship during the time of Ancient Elvhenan and the Evanuris, and potentially their days as servants to Mythal or during Fen'Harel's rebellion, that would be cool.

Solas/Wisdom - Wisdom cared deeply for Solas, but the greatest thing keeping them apart romantically would have been their natures in that he was a physical man and she a spirit whom he wouldn't want to twist against her nature (likely into a Desire demon instead of Pride). They are both ancient, so it can be assumed that they found their roles satisfying enough, though it's suspected that Solas was once a Wisdom spirit as well, and perhaps wishes he could go back to being one. I'm generally just curious about how they would spend their time together. Just how long did they know each other? After she dies, Solas looks for her in the Void and finds stirrings of her remains - would he try to put her back together from memories?

Cole & Justice - Two spirits who had very different experiences once pulled into the Waking World. What would Justice think of Compassion, and vice versa, how would they interact and what would happen if they had to work together. What would Justice pick up on that Cole wouldn't, what would Justice think of Cole creating his own form instead of possessing something? I'm very curious about how they would bounce off of each other.

Jowan/Lily/Female Surana - Perhaps they came together while apprentices, or they were always close friends, but it became something more after the Fifth Blight and Surana tracked them both down again. Maybe she and Jowan have to rescue Lily from Aeonar and things develop from there. If she's not a blood mage, how does Surana come to terms with the dark power Lily and Jowan are willing to use?

So who are the Lords of Fortune, you might want to know?

Well, without recapping Tevinter Nights too much, they're a faction of mercenary adventurers, treasure hunters thieves and seekers of wealth and fame based out of Rivain, who can be of any race or background. They take odd and dangerous jobs from anyone who can pay the fee and have standards, so no working with slavers or punching down against the common folk. A lot of fans believe that our next protagonist in DA4 will be a member of this faction. And well, Hollix is a Lord of Fortune, though don't be deceived by the "Lord" bit, their gender is fluid and they are confirmed as nonbinary by their writer.

Hollix gained their name from Dorian after Hollix crashed a card party he was holding while attempting to spy on him - read "Luck in the Gardens" from Tevinter Nights if you want their whole story.

Writing for one of these pairings is going to require an OC and you can make them however you like, as long as the OC is from Thedas and becomes romantically entangled with Hollix. Hollix is already taking jobs from Dorian and has met Maevaris, so it's not a stretch that the new character would meet via their patrons through another such job - or perhaps they simply met in a tavern much like the one where Hollix tell their story. Go crazy, do worldbuilding, make predictions about the next game, have them do a heist, I'm all ears. :D

They're both a bit adrift and away from home, heroes whose stars have diminished or fallen. How do they come together, and who ends up staying in the Fade?

Loghain/F!Surana - What made Warden Surana spare Loghain, and when do they realize they're in love? Does she convince him to do the Dark Ritual, or does one of them die against the Archdemon? Do they fall for each other in Vigil's Keep, after she's Warden Commander, or do they end up travelling to Weisshaupt together after the events at Adamant (and having survived yet again against all odds, Loghain tells Neria he's in love with her)? I'm open to any of these scenarios or anything else you might come up with.

Loghain/F!Trevelyan - The Inquisitor's work is nonstop and Loghain has a small window where he's at Skyhold and then he's either lost to the Fade or on his way to Weisshaupt. When and where do they manage to squeeze in a relationship, and what happens to make them realize their attraction? Colombia pretende hacer ver que la detención del médico delincuente es "arbitraria"

El Fiscal Gral. Tarek Williams Saab criticó que la Cancillería y los congresistas del departamento de Bolívar de Colombia defendieran al galeno que vendía ilegalmente las medicinas para el tratamiento del Covid-19 que el gobierno venezolano entrega gratuitamente a las instituciones de salud públicas y privadas.

Explicó que Antonio José Amell Cantillo, médico residente del Hospital Dr. Henrrique Tejera en Carabobo, vendía en 800 dólares cada ampolla del retroviral Remdesivir atentando contra el derecho humano de la salud. "Ser médico no es patente de corso. Estos delincuentes mancillan su profesión", dijo.

Ante las denuncias de familiares de pacientes se hicieron las averiguaciones y se comprobó que Cantillo estaba asociado además con 5 farmacias privadas para vender los medicamentos. En el hallanamiento a su residencia se encontraron insumos médicos y medicamentos.

Se comprobó que comercializaba las plantillas de ingreso al hospital. Se le imputa los delitos de concusión, contrabando de extracción y asociación para delinquir.

También fue detenida Francis Margarita Aguiar Salazar, representante de la Quincalla y Frutería Central donde se incautaron planillas y formularios de documentos para el ingreso de pacientes al hospital. se le imputan los por forjamiento de documentos públicos, contrabando de extracción y asociación para delinquir.

El Director del hospital, Alexis Rivera, está siendo investigado para determinar si hubo complicidad de su parte.

Best of the Best: The Annual MYS Awards Gala 2019

On the eve of the Monaco Yacht Show takes place the annual MYS Inaugural Gala, a glamorous affair of champagne, canapes and the creme de la creme of the yachting world. The jury have cast their votes, but the industry at large will have to wait until next Wednesday to find out which four superyachts out of the 125 cruising into Port Hercules have taken the crown.

The 6th annual edition of the show’s Superyacht Awards Ceremony will be hosted during the MYS Inaugural Gala, that will take place on 24 September at the Yacht Club de Monaco. The much anticipated event, which is attended by 350 members of the yachting social elite, will present four luxury vessels with some of the highest accolades in the industry.

The candidates - all new builds over 40m delivered this year (or end of 2018) - are as follows: Attila (64m/Sanlorenzo), Aurora Borealis (67m/ Amels), Severin°s (55m/Baglietto), Bintador (49.9m/Tankoa Yachts), Dragon (79.5m/Columbus Yachts), DreAMBoat (90m/Oceanco), Excellence (79.95m/Abeking & Rasmussen), Here Comes the Sun (83m/Amels), Joy Rider (45m/Damen), Lilium (47.50m/Bilgin Yachts), Majesty 140 (43.10m/Gulf Craft), Mangusta Gransport 45 (45m/Overmarine), Metis (63m/Benetti). CRN 135 (79m/CRN), Bold (85m/Silveryachts), Navetta 42 (41.8m/Customline - Ferretti Group), Race (50m/Riva - Ferretti Group), Tis (111m/Lürssen).

The jury of the Awards Ceremony is made up of a panel of yachting journalists who bring with them an eclectic range of expertise to determine the best vessels at MYS - a determination that will be split into four categories deemed to constitute a great superyacht. The first category is the MYS/RINA Award, which looks at the eco-friendly credentials of a yacht, and rewards compliance with a series of specifications such as CO2 consumption, as well as the environmental impact of the yacht as defined by the Italian classification company RINA. Last year’s winner for this prestigious award went to Tankoa for their environmentally thoughtful M/Y Solo.

The MYS Interior Design Award is given to a yacht of bespoke design and an exceptional quality of comfort, features and aesthetics - 2018’s prize was awarded to DAR. The Exterior Design Award, meanwhile, honors the superyacht whose exterior design is the most innovative and refined - last year, it was the aesthetically impressive Illusion Plus that took the crown.

Finally, the MYS Finest New Superyacht Award is a recognition of the yacht that meets the refinement criteria for both its interior and exterior design, as well as its sustainable innovations. This yacht will also be rewarded for its positive impact on the pleasure yachting industry through investment in development to protect the environment. TIn 2018 he most prestigious award of the show was given to DAR - the second award of the night for Oceanco.

The MYS Inaugural Gala is sure to be, as it is every year, a fantastic event. Further, with 125 of the most standout vessels ever to cruise into Monaco, the winners are guaranteed to honour the outstanding pedigree of today’s superyachts.

i have always wanted to know more about riva but didn't know where to start, so riva for oc questions if you're down to answer them? pick your own adventure (questions to answer) version though. what's rotating in your brain that you want to textually chew on?

honestly where to start for any of my ocs is just "tell me now" i can talk about my ocs for hours completely unprompted and prompted? oh boy. as riva is one of my most specialist little meow meows in the world this will probably be super long <333 soz in advance the mental illness is about to be unleashed

does your oc have siblings or family members in their age group? which one are they closest with?

yes :) amell warden canonically has four siblings but for character theme reasons i fridged them all offscreen, which riva knows because he spends the years after the blight and in between warden business hunting down any family he has left because he's curious. he got records of the hawkes in lothering pretty early on but just assumed they died at ostagar (he was there, he knows lots of people Did That and hes sooooo so mad that he was in proximity and missed them) until several years later when he gets a letter from zevran that's like My Man You Are Never Gonna Fucking Believe This

anyway for like. age group. he's born in 9:11 dragon which makes him the same age as his cousin carver hawke, but younger than his cousin graham the champion of kirkwall hawke, which is a fact not known to graham the champion of kirkwall hawke until after he has spent like two years following this guy around on the assumption he is in fact older and thus wiser than him. graham does not take this news well.

anyway all of that to say he is very close to both gray and carver because they are the only family he has left and he really, really treasures them. he and gray have an especially close relationship as people who have taken on tremendous burdens and who feel alone in carrying them.

what kind of childhood did your oc have?

so he's the youngest amell sibling right [ignoring bioware's implications to the contrary] and so he's just a baby when amell sr dips from kirkwall with the kids and he's also quite a bit younger than his older siblings (he's 19 at the start of origins, his siblings are edith [30, kirkwall], ewan [27, ansburg], caspian [25, ostwick] & pippa [23, starkhaven]. yes i have thought about this a normal amount) so he's still just a toddler when the last of his siblings manifest their magic and his dad goes okay. ive had enough of this dude. rows his ass across the lake and dumps him at the tower because of course That One Is Going To Be A Mage Too and then he just. disappears.

so anyway riva doesn't really remember a life outside the circle because he's been there since he was like. three. and that has impacted his life in sooo many ways. on one hand he gets a lot of leniency because like. half the people in that tower Raised him, yknow? he was there for at least five years before his magic manifested and even after the switch the templars who were already grooming him for templar training still can't quite let go of the child they remember from Before. ofc that doesn't win him any friends because everyone he's supposed to be like is aware that if he hadn't been one of them, he'd be one of them. he's genial enough to fit in everywhere but he also belongs nowhere. i could talk about this specifically for hours but tldr same idea as sending a gay kid to catholic school to make them less gay. doesn't work at all how u think it's gonna <3

what relationship/s have had the most influence on them?

1000% irving is the single greatest influence on riva. greagoir can claim a little bit of credit as irving's opposite. whatever they are. but a lot of the way riva approaches life is from having witnessed how irving does it. irving is a surrogate father to riva and he is one of the best examples riva has of a mage who lives a successful (relative) life so of course he's going to emulate whatever the fuck he's doing and well. he is a prodigy after all :)

there's plenty of other people who had influence on his life. wynne. zevran. leliana. anders, even (the anders relationship is so. So. but there's not really any questions where i can discuss whatever the fuck was happening there) buuut the only one i really want to mention is cullen <3

i fell into the trap of trusting bioware to have their once per game banger moment and i. should not have. but unfortunately for me i love to look at bad writing and go "i could fix her" even if the character should NOT be fixed. anyway somtimes ur thirteen and you meet some random blonde kid while you're breaking into the templar libraries and you don't even know this meeting is going to irreversibly shape your beef with the chantry and also you're going to be hung up on this pathetic wet rat of a man for the next ten years despite being ferelden's most eligible bachelor. he is the most normal and well adjusted hero of his worldstate. i would say sorry to riva for inflicting whatever this is on him but i'm not really. i would say sorry to RIVER who has to endure me going insane about quite possibly the biggest L of a ship i have. but i am also not <3

how quick is your oc to trust someone else?

deceptively slow! he is really personable and charming, but he's also grown up in an environment where loyalty is transactional and he operates on the basis that the second he is no longer useful to someone, in whatever way he quantifies being useful to someone, then he is no longer in a position of power. so as you can imagine him and zevran interacting for the first few months is a Trip for both of them. and that is why they are now best friends forever <3 he gets better after being free of the circle for a while when he realizes some people are not having to play 8 dimensional chess to stay alive but in general he is very good at making people feel close to him even though he has thought of 16 escape strategies, at least 9 of which involve outright murder. he contains multitudes.

opinion on the chantry?

kind of combining multiple questions here but he understands the importance of religion or at least some conviction or belief in your life. something to bring you comfort when times get hard. something you can turn to when nothing else makes sense. he also thinks the chantry as an institution needs to be systematically dismantled and ground into the dust below his heel. he also grew up in a position where he watched the chantry change people he knew and cared for in irreversible ways. he is very sympathetic to anyone he views as victim to chantry exploitation (extremely broad category) and his preferred method of destruction is violent kindness. he is so nice and empathetic. even when people do not deserve it. if he can make people feel conflicted about being a cunt to him he wins. he will haunt your narrative for the rest of time. this is a threat and a promise. you meet him once you will think about him every day for the next 15 years and maybe THEN you'll have a chance at getting better, but probably not. he has staying power like that.

in what situation was your oc the most afraid they’ve ever been?

absolutely fighting the uldred abomination. there is just so much going on. uldred was one of the senior enchanters that riva didn't particularly like, but he's always been a part of riva's life. irving's life depends on him. in many ways, cullen's life depends on him even though he knows cullen wants him dead (and that hurts in ways he can't even begin to process). wynne, who has also been a staple of his life is depending on him. so many people he knew and cared for are dead, and all his prodigal talent couldn't stop that. he has a scar from getting fully run through in that fight because he was dealing with So Much. everyone assumes it's from the archdemon and he just lets them because he has so many Feelings about that whole thing and honestly he's fine with no one knowing how personal that is to him.
