How do you think Tyler's personality could have been if he had less responsibility ( like if his father didn't die)?

he'd be a lot more carefree, more prone to teasing taylor and his friends and he'd be smiling a lot more too (but not those strained smiles that he's developed over the years to assure others especially his family, but the kind that lights his eyes up and makes him look stunning)

he'd still be responsible and trustworthy, but without the burden of failure, so others would definitely come to him if they need any kind of help or advice.

tyler would also be a lot more empathic and less closed off-- in his core, he's already been that way cause he's born in a loving family that taught him and his sister how to love and take care of each other, so without the grief and rage hanging onto his character, i can see him as a popular kid (not just cause he's in the baseball team, but because he's a kind and fiercely loyal friend who will always be there to love and protect those who he cares about!)

biggest one is that both c!sapnap and c!techno have this ongoing rivalry with each other. they cannot let the other one up them when it comes to receiving c!dream's love and affection. everyone is aware of this rivalry (except for c!dream himself bc he's completely oblivious when it comes to being loved)

said rivalry can be extremely petty, meaning if techno catches wind that sapnap has been spotted happily laying on dream's lap as they watched the sunset together by the docks, then that means, sapnap will be seeing techno bridal carrying dream the following day.

dream will always find their extremely affectionate (almost obsessive) need to stay by his side confusing, but he's nothing if not a touch starved man who is in desperate need to have someone hold him, so he always melts at sapnap's gentle hands and techno's careful hold.

if there's one thing you should know about me anon, it's that i have an affinity for older sibling characters-- especially if they're the type who are so dedicated to their role as the oldest sibling.

maybe it's me projecting, but i just love seeing that level of protectiveness and dedication! that's pretty much what drew me in to tyler as a character! plus i like his snarky nature and how he seems to always prioritize taylor's safety instead of his own.

he's always been my fav apart from ashlyn, and when we finally got to his and taylor's past, it just made me love his character even more lol

some of my hcs of him are:

he listens to a lot of bands

cooking for others is his love language but the kitchen is his kingdom to rule and reign over, and only those who he has bestowed his honor have the privledge of using the stove

his bag is full of things other people might need: hair ties, band aids, vitamins and medicine too

he is an early riser

he takes table manners very seriously and would be the type to scold others for their atrocious manners

aside from crossing his arms a lot, he will also put them in his pockets

probably the first one to get a license in his friend group

he used to have the same music taste as his dad

anger issues + fear of failure

over protective of his family and friends (do not cross him)

likes his food spicy

the fact that y'all are starting to associate me to both ashler and tyden is hilarious cause i'm pretty sure i started this side blog to only talk about ashler asfhafla

but here we are, so let me try to put together a coherent enough tyden confession for you at 4 am:

side note: this got really long way too fast, and i'm pretty sure this only tackled aiden's feelings, but i hope you like it anyway anon!

when aiden realizes he's starting to like tyler, everything just clicks.

he's laying on his bed, his eyes staring up at the glow in the dark stars he's poorly glued on his ceiling back when he was ten when the realization hits him, and he's finally put a name to the emotion tyler manages to invoke inside his chest whenever the other boy would stop scowling and actually offer him one of those once-in-a-blue-moon, downright stunning smiles that probably belonged on a movie poster whenever one of aiden's jokes finally lands.

it's like the last step of figuring out how to solve a brand new rubik's cube, and for a moment he revels in the satisfaction of just knowing, except by the time he tries to figure out how to proceed from such a revelation, he’s coming up blank.

for the first time in his life, his crush on tyler is the only puzzle he has no idea how to move forward to.

if he’s being honest with himself, knowing that he actually likes the halfwit doesn't really change much of their situation, if anything it would probably only make things worse if tyler found out.

and it's not like he's stupid enough to actually believe he's got a shot, not when he's made it his entire personality to annoy the ever living shit out of the baseball player any chance he’s got.

the thought of tyler’s possible rejection inflicts a pain that courses through his entire body, stilling him until he has to remind himself to breathe.

aiden decides he doesn’t really like thinking about this particular puzzle anymore—not when his own emotions have cursed him.

he refuses to think about the problem any further. he’ll set his feelings for tyler aside and ignore it till it goes away completely. 

he’s always been good at ignoring his problems, and this is no different.

with his mind made up, he lets himself relax until the pang in his chest dulls out and he’s ready to forget it was ever there in the first place.

and just when things were finally starting to feel normal again, that’s when the halfwit decided to reply to his text. 

the reply is short, dry, and straight to the point– and it’s just so like him that aiden catches himself snorting when he reads the simple, “fuck if i know.” right after aiden’s last annoying question. 

he hadn’t even expected the other boy to reply, except tyler always did.

no matter how much he purposely tries to piss him off or how many memes he sends the other boy, tyler will reply, whether it was a sarcastic comment or a curse, all of his messages are read and answered.

it was kind of addicting, to be heard-to have his existence acknowledged by someone who had every right to tell him to shut up and walk away.

he can feel his heartbeat racing all over again as he re-read tyler’s text, and as he typed out a reply he knew it was going to be hard for him to fall asleep.

the clock on his phone reads past 1 am, and he wants to point it out to tyler cause he’s always complaining about staying up late whenever aiden’s in the mood to mess with him.

but before he could say anything about it, tyler’s already sending him a brand new text, and this one’s even more humorless than before.

his earlier thought is momentarily forgotten, and he ends up sending the other boy a series of memes pointing out how badly tyler’s killing their convo with his lackluster replies, and aiden selfishly hopes that tyler takes the bait and talks to him even longer, even if just to prove him wrong.

aiden wonders if tyler would hate him for it.

he lifts his eyes back to the stars on his ceiling and hopes.

he hopes that tyler won’t hate him for being selfish, hopes that his feelings for the other boy won’t last, and hopes that by the time he wakes up the following day, the pain in his chest disappears completely. 

his phone lights up with a brand new text and aiden begins to type out a reply without really reading what the text said.

'can you promise you won’t hate me too?'

the reply gets deleted, and he sends tyler another meme instead.

This doesn’t really fall under any of the prompts (maybe 29 I guess), but how do you think an Ashler confession would go. (Or when they realized their feeling for each other)

okay, so i may have gotten a bit too wordy with this response, but this ask was the perfect excuse for me to talk about a particular hc i have for ashler (also, i will not be stopped when it comes to yapping about this ship, i'm afraid)

anyway, i see ashler as the type to act like they're already dating before they even realize that they have feelings for each other. the type where everyone can tell there's something clearly going on between them, but the two people in question are either oblivious to it or have just never considered it to be anything but a deep closeness cause they're just so used to the dynamic they've created together

another hc that i have is that ty fell first while ash fell harder-- where ty's resigned to the fact that he's got feelings for ashlyn and that it will not go away, not matter how much he tried to avoid it. so as they get closer, the more he represses his feelings (mostly out of fear that he'll end up ruining the friendship that he has with her)

but his feelings are obviously still there, so what does he do? he just does his best to be there for her. to showcase his love without hoping for anything back, because while he's made it a rule not to make his feelings for her known, that doesn't mean that he can't show her how much he cares. and he cares a lot.

in ashlyn's case, her feelings would come like a sudden crashing wave, where all of her thoughts and emotions regarding tyler would rise into a crescendo of intensity until she feel like she's drowning in her love.

the confession would honestly be a complete accident. they're doing something relatively mundane together, taking in the comfort that the other's presence provides them, and as their walls begin to lower, ashlyn makes a passing comment about her feelings for ty, and everything. just. stops.

ashlyn is wide eyed from her slip up while tyler is uncharacteristically silent, his posture rigid as his gaze bores into ashlyn's.

he'd ask her to repeat what she just said, but ashlyn (out of embarrassment) would try to stir the topic into something else.

tyler doesn't let her, and he basically forces her hand. and it all comes down to a simple, heart-stopping, 'i said, i might be in love with you'

everything after that is just the two of them crashing into each other in a fit of euphoria none of them has ever felt before, but will continue to feel for as long as the other let them.

aiden if he's not that interested in the movie they're watching. also, when they watch something together, aiden has wordlessly made it a rule that ty plays with his hair, and the warmth and gentleness of ty's hand is what lulls him to sleep.

1. Who is the better cook?

tyler, definitely! but i think ashlyn can also cook, it's just that she prefers to make basic (easy to make) dishes, whereas tyler is the type to go all out when he's cooking!

10. Who is always reminding the other not to forget important documents/general things before leaving out the door?

tyler, cause ashlyn tends to get stuck inside her own head and forgets. also, in her rush to get to where she needs to go, ty needs to reminds her or else she'll speed past anything that isn't already in her bag (no matter how important it is)

11. Who leaves notes in the other one's lunch? (Bonus: what do they say?)

tyler, and he probably puts reminders on the notes, but he writes it as dry or as sarcastically as he can, like "don't forget to take your meds." or "you better finish all the food i packed for you, carrot-top."

everyone else thinks ashlyn's dating a complete ass, but ashlyn appreciates he's concern, plus every meal ty ever makes for her is amazing.

ashlyn is little spoon bc she is tiny, and tay loves to cuddle her all the time. it was embarrassing for her at first, but tay has the ability to disarm anyone, so it doesn't take much for her to accept her role as tay's fav cuddle buddy :')

34. How do they cheer the other one up during sad times?

cuddle sessions always cheer tay up, and when ash is the one upset, tay is always open to hear her vent out her frustrations, and would always offer her support!

they also do movie nights, or if ash is too overwhelmed, they'd just lay down in bed together-- not exactly touching or talking, but their presence is enough to convey their affection and support-- immersing in the quiet comfort each other's presence provides <3

36. Who is more protective?

both are extremely protective! they are the type to go feral when one of them gets hurt. i can see them both willing to risk blood and injury (to themselves or the enemy) if it means being able to protect the other!!

nope, but in the times where they're both fine with skin contact, ty would be the one to initiate it most of the time. it would usually be simple touches like holding ashlyn's hand or grazing his knuckle on her arm or face. he also ruffles her hair when he can get away with it!

ashlyn, but only when her thought's are pretty loud and she's too distracted to pay attention to where she's walking. thankfully, ty's there to stop her from walking straight to a post.

8. Who is a morning person? Who is a night owl?

ty rises with the sun while ashlyn rises with the moon! this is literally how their morning starts lmao

(i may have spent more than five mins making this meme)

17. Who is more competitive?

both are insanely competitive! they will compete at just about anything they think the other would suck at (but it's all in good fun, plus the winner gets to tell the loser what to do afterwards)

19. What do they fight about most often? (Alternative: what was their biggest fight?)

Alternative: their biggest fight was when ashlyn couldn't stop feeling guilty for what had happened to tyler, so whenever they're in a dangerous situation, she'd take unnecessary risks in order to save him. tyler caller her out for being too reckless, and the argument only intensifies when ashlyn tries to justify her actions.

the argument goes on for a while until ty's managed to for her hand and she finally admits why she's so reckless and desperate to put her own life in danger-- and it's solely cause she didn't want to see him hurt ever again. and ty isn't necessarily comforted by her answer, bc he isn't used to being the one on the receiving end of someone else's sacrifice, but at least he knows now why she did what she did.

in the end, they'll talk it out and find a way to resolve the issue together.

20. Who randomly brings home a stray puppy/kitten to adopt?

ashlyn, but only to nurse the stray back to full health, and then she and tyler will take it to a shelter for adoption.

but it's all good until ashlyn gets too attached to a stray puppy they found one afternoon.......

22. Love languages? How do they get around differences, if any?

'acts of service' is practically hanging above both of their heads asfkhaflash

actions have always spoken louder for them when it comes to professing their affection! a home cooked meal left in ashlyn's fridge when she's too tired to make anything herself, or tyler waking up to find the dishes he still left at the sink already washed and put away.

they will always take each other's load if they can, because it may be heavy, but they are worth it.

ashlyn is little spoon, but it takes a lot of grumbling on her part to finally accept such a role.

well, i'm not gonna go out of my way and pick a fight with that random blog just bc they said something i don't agree with, that's for sure.

idk why you're even asking me for my thoughts on a matter i'm not directly involved with (unless that blog is specifically targeting me, in which case then i'd like to know who they are) cause, it's not like the person who posted that was looking to change their mind regarding their opinion.

fandom spaces isn't meant to have a hive mind where we all need to agree on everything, we all have different opinions on certain matters, and as long as people keep to themselves and don't start petty ship wars, i feel like we can all coexist without having to agree on just one hc or ship.

again, people have different viewpoints and interests, even those in the same fandom, so i'm sure we all have different opinions and takes about these characters and who to ship with who, so as long as you stay respectful and not like be weird or bully other people for what they like then i see no need to make a counter argument for that post about why i personally ship tyler with ashlyn, and why i don't agree with that person's opinion.

it would be tyler, but in the sense that he's a lot more straightforward with his words and actions, so he can be really cheesy or sweet when he doesn't have all his walls up.

i hc that they bicker like an old married couple! i'm pretty sure they do that in canon too, which is why i need everyone to stop sleeping on this ship!!

aside from ashlyn becoming less of a night owl due to ty literally rising with the sun, she also starts eating healthier. ty is a big believer of home cooked meals over take out, and not sleeping on an empty stomach, so she's definitely eating a balanced diet with him around

ty on the other hand has been listening to a lot of bands ashlyn recommends him <3
