One Dress a Day Challenge

This dress appears in a brief scene in a dimly-lit room, and it's usually filmed from the other side of a plexiglass barrier, distorting it a bit and also giving it a slightly lavender tinge compared to the catalogue shots. But the design is interesting, so I wanted to highlight it.

According to wornontv.net, this is an "Amanda" dress from Safiyaa. It has an interesting asymmetrical effect, which appears to come from a wrap-around design. However, a rear view that I found at an online store shows that it just zips up the back.

This week’s winner for the random outfit are those amazingly edgy Swarowski earrings. The moment I saw those earrings, I knew an outfit with them would have to include some Alexander McQueen.

So, I looked into the McQueen pieces I have in my virtual closet, and this skirt had the perfect mix of edgy and feminine for what I had in mind. Then, I needed a shirt I could tuck inside the skirt, and that Safiyaa cold-shoulder sweater felt like the perfect match for the vibe of this outfit.

Now, for the shoes, this look needed heels, and not little kitty heels. Those vertiginous Alaïa heels are perfection to crush whoever needs to be crushed. I knew the clutch had to be one of those iconic McQueen knuckle box clutch, and this one was a perfect fit for the outfit.

Finally, needed something to round out this outfit. No hair accessories really fit the vibe, but there was something about this faux fur beret felt right. It softened the look a bit, but at the same time, who would dare judge the beret of a woman wearing this outfit?
