Okay but what if in the realization panel of Hirano to Kagiura- Kagiura does something stupid and gets his ass beat or something, and Hirano, supposedly good in a fight, comes to his rescue. Or Kagi gets threaten/ punched while Hirano is around and Hirano tackles/ fights the guy. After Kagi and him argue because they are both mad… and it comes to this conclusion after they yell at each other either in public or in the dorm or something:
(Yelling words… etc)
Kagiura, tell arguing: you could have gotten seriously hurt! Why the hell would you do that!?!?!
Hirano, angry and also yelling (the argument keeps getting heated): I didn’t you dumbass! Besides you would’ve gotten your ass beat if I hadn’t stepped in!!!
Kagiura: God you’re so stupid! The fight was my fault! Why didn’t you let me take care of it! Why did you tackle the guy!!! Huh!? You got in trouble-
Hirano: Because I love you, you stupid brat!
Kagiura: You always fix things and now you got in trouble with the headmaster and wait… what?
Hirano crossing his arms or not realizing what he said and continues lecturing.
Kagiura, normal voice: What did you just say, Hirano!
(Miyano or Sasaki or Hanzawa or Ogasawara if there: He said he loves you, you stupid brat… aw)
…….
Honestly though I think Hirano will figure out his feelings either when he gets sick after the entrance exams like Sasaki (Sasaki mentioned he won’t recover as fast as Hirano in v6? I think) and Kagiura takes care of him. Or when Hirano moves out… or a personal favourite, Kagi gets hurt somehow like a fight on the basketball court or something, and Hirano to the rescue… as we see in the manga, anime and books, Hirano loves taking care of people, he’s very affectionate in this way (giving Kagiuras little cousins a bath and drying them off and helping them get ready for bed even though, according to Kagi, they were old enough to do it on their own (an ironic statement), Hirano taking time to eat with Kagiura when he was sick, holding his hand when his was in the infirmary, listening to Kagi when he’s upset and hearing him out, helping with his homework, eating the foods the younger dislikes, waking him up every day, etc…) - I think this is his love language (Kagi is starting to figure out that Hirano likes taking care of people, which annoys Kagi in a sense that he wants to be able to take care of Hirano too - not just a one side gives and the other takes which is something Hirano has no problem with but the younger does. Kagi is right in wanting Hirano to see him as a equal because Hirano, by giving him all this attention, is still only seeing him as his kouhai, someone younger than him that he’s supposed to look out for and take care of (the sibling and mentor thing- also in a way a parent cares for a child; so this is why I’m betting on the sick scene where Hirano gets a fever and stuff after his exams and Kagi forces him to rest and eats with him, etc. will be where it clicks for Hirano)). The oldest love language is caretaking whereas Kagiura likes touch and closeness (and receiving words of affirmation), so either Hirano will figure out that he’s been taking care of Kagi, in the same way couples do, because he likes the younger - he realizes he’s grown affectionate or attached to the younger in some way (hasn’t figured out in what way yet but he is starting to), or when Hirano receives the same care and affection that he gives to others/ Kagiura - basically Kagiura doing something for or taking care of Hirano… thoughts?
I also like the idea (which I hope we see in full) of Hirano getting jealous (nevermind the fact that I want proof that Hirano is good in a fight, not just word of mouth)- like Kagi starts hanging out more with others or something. We’ve seen Hirano upset when Kagi doesn’t rely on him much and starts ignoring the older - AND, we’ve seen Hirano discussing how he admires and loves the focus and determination and energy (basically enjoyment and love) Kagiura puts towards basketball, and how he wishes that Kagiura would focuse like that on him. He wants Kagiuras attention and is “slightly” jealous over Kagis attention towards basketball. He wants Kagi to show him the same movtivation and admiration he has for basketball to him (vol 1). Hirano also enjoys and loves to watch how happy and focused Kagiura is towards basketball. He goes to the games and brings him snacks and drinks for after (taking care of him again). He enjoys watching others be happy and wants someone to look at him with that same emotion/ happiness…. Ironically he has yet to compare the joy Kagi feels towards basketball and towards Hirano - if he did, I’m sure he’d realize or begin to realize that it’s the same emotion. I also think that Sasaki and Miyano figuring out their own feelings while Hirano to Kagiura is just “starting” is helping Hirano analyze is own.
Sorry for the long ass rant but I’m also waiting for the 10+ second thing where Kagiura (maybe after a bad day or something) starts to pull away after 10 seconds and Hirano is like, “what are you doing?”
Kagiura “it’s been 10 seconds…”
Hirano after a few seconds of quietness and a frustrated look on his face, pulls the younger back to whatever position they were doing, “it’s fine, I’ll give you a pass tonight…”
So yeah.

Hirano to Kagiura Ch.21 Reaction
First reaction! I have no idea what I'm doing, but here goes. I recommend reading the chapter yourself before reading this.
I had seen the chapter cover before, but it is really cool! Love that kagihira has matching weapons (even if bringing a sword to a gunfight is highly impractical). And that Niibashi has a phone instead–he does seem like the kind of person that would order others to kill instead of directly getting his hands dirty.
(Also, the title "Continuation", are we actually going to see Hirano keep thinking about his reaction for once?? Though I guess it's a continuation from their first year together.)
Pretty colors! Guess Hirano has gotten used to getting up extremely early (waking up naturally at 5AM, geez...) (Oh, nevermind, since he mentions resetting the alarm I guess it might have rung?) (Nevermind again, checked it and Hirano looked at it a little bit before 5 so I'm guessing that he actually did wake up on his own).
Even Kagiura has gotten used to waking up that early! Wonder if they'll continue the early studying then even though they don't technically have to now that they do get to stay together? Though it seems like they just slept a bit longer this time.
Hirano being a disciplinary committee member! He's always taken the confiscating things part seriously. Lmao, love that Sasaki tried to bribe Hirano! Might have worked though, since Sasaki keeps reading the magazine while Hirano eats.
A rare introspective Hirano has emerged! Not that Hirano doesn't think often, but it's rare to see him think about things that aren't immediately relevant.
"Do I actually believe that Kagi-kun even likes this stuff?" Now THAT'S interesting. Hirano still doesn't see the point in the touching. But I hadn't thought that Hirano might disbelieve that Kagiura wants it. It does make sense though. We have seen again and again that Hirano doesn't get what Kagiura is feeling, likely because he simply doesn't get what romantic feelings are like (although I'd argue that Kagiura is also pretty bad at understanding what Hirano is feeling).
Seems like Hirano might have been so much overwhelmed by the hug as simply not knowing how to respond? In hindsight he reacted kinda similarly to when Kagiura asked for a lap pillow or the ten seconds. Although being overwhelmed and not knowing how to respond isn't mutually exclusive.
Hirano getting mad at Kagiura for still looking disappointed after all that LMAO. I don't know why but I find that hilarious. Makes perfect sense for both of them though. We're getting several points in the 'Hirano doesn't understand how romance works' column this chapter.
Sasaki being observant again! I love that trait of his. I feel like it's a bit clearer in H&K than it was in S&M.
Surprising that Sasaki would be willing to walk 30 minutes for the dango. Maybe it was on the way for him or close to something else he had to do? Or he might just like sweets that much.
Ogasawara having trouble with his girlfriend again... On second thought, isn't this around the time their troubles because he couldn't handle her love for BL begins? Ah, yeah, "bad-boy uke", it might be that fight–well, more like those fight–have started. Also, the side of Ogasawara that is that serious about his girlfriend is cute. Anyway, I think Sasaki has just seen them fight so much that he just doesn't care anymore.
"Wait, eating someone else's food counts as flirting...?" Hirano, I don't think anyone considers you eating Kagiura's peppers as flirting. It can be an overly sweet kind of flirting, but not all kinds of eating each other's food counts. Thankfully it seems like Hirano managed to figure out that his case doesn't count.
Oh wow, Hirano looks HORRIFIED at the thought of Kagiura flirting. Gotta get back to that at some point.
(Hanzawa being a busybody as always, lol.)
The "OH HELL NO. At...at least......I think......hell....no..." reminds me of Miyano after Sasaki's train confession, where Miyano is in denial that he could like Sasaki romantically. But seems like Hirano is at least starting to think about what it would be like to like Kagiura romantically!
Tired Kagiura is cute.
Love Hirano's reaction to Kagiura saying that he wants to touch. The surprise to resignation~
OMG HIRANO TOUCHING HIS HEAD INSTEAD OF THE HAND-HOLDING!!!!!! I guess he wanted to praise Kagiura~?
"I'm allowed to use the ten seconds for myself, right? I mean, this is supposed to be practice to se if I could ever think of you as my boyfriend, so..." Omg omg omg, Hirano beginning to take a very active role in this, yes yes yes.
I honestly don't know if I should feel happy or bad for Kagiura. Like, obviously it's good that Hirano is doing this, but also, Hirano is acting THIS cute and Kagiura can't do anything about it. Someday, Kagiura, someday...
Considering that Hirano was doubting whether or not Kagiura actually liked the touching, it's good that Kagiura told him directly that it makes him happy.
That look Hirano gives his hand... I wonder... I think Hirano wants to be in love with Kagiura. Like, he hasn't said it, but he wants so badly to make Kagiura happy and at this point the best way to that is to reciprocate his feelings. Hirano just didn't think that he could. He seems to be a bit more open for the possibility that he could love him in this chapter, but I think he still has his doubts.
Kagiura getting to take care of Hirano! Now that they're doing basketball together Kagiura has more chances of returning the favor.
Oh boy, a date at this time... Well, I can't blame Kagiura for taking advantage of the opening. But Hirano has only just started considering actively trying to see if he could date Kagiura. He'll probably be tense and uncomfortable during a sizeable portion of the date. Oh well, I don't actually think it would hurt to have a date (that Hirano is conscious about being a date). I just think that the goal should be to make Hirano think by the end "Going on a date with Kagi-kun can be nice" rather than "I'm in love with Kagi-kun." Although admittedly I think that the most likely outcome is Hirano having a very hard time understanding the difference between this and their outings as friends.

hello there! I'm here for the 1000 followers event hehe (congratulations btw!! (๑•̀ㅁ•́ฅ)☆ ) so here goes,
my name is Kana
I like drawing (still 💩 at ot but anyways), playing games like genshin omori and some other otome games. Watching anime is also something I like to do [recent shows I've watched: horimiya, kakegurui, sasaki to miyano]. I like plying volleyball too!
As for my personality, I'm usually pretty quiet and closed off in person but after I get attached to someone I get quite excited(? I don'tknow how to describe it) and talk more around said person. I never noticed it before until my friend told me that when I'm attached to someone I kinda use them as a shield of some sort, like standing behind them while in a crowd for example.
what I look for in a partner: warm and comforting, likes giving and receiving hugs, hugs, head pats, hugs, can cook because the only thing I know how to cook are instant Ramen and eggs, hugs, smells good
my zodiac sign: Aries
stuff from ppl that I dislike: obnoxious people
aaaannnddd that's about it! once again congratulations on 1000 followers! yayyyy!!
(ฅ´ω`ฅ) love you and wish you all the best!
- anon☆
Hihi! thanks for participating.
Your Perfect Match is...
Tumblr media
Thoma
Tumblr media
He has seen you around Inazuma a couple of times when he was running errands for the Kamisato Clan and he just couldn't get you out of his head.
He was really unsure how he could approach you. He didn't want to scare you or creep you out so he genuinely racked his brain over that for quite a while.
Eventually he decided to go the direct approach and bought some chocolates for you which he handed to you one day as you were out in the city. There was a note attached to it with his contact details, and asking oyu if you'd be interested to get to know him a little better.
Of course you agreed and you two just clicked! You got comfortable around him very quickly. I mean, Thoma just exudes comfort-energy, what can you do?
Might as well clal him master of hugs because they're just cozy and comfortable and you would stay inside his embrace all day if you could.
You say you kind of use people as a shield? Bingo. Thoma is the man you need to look for. He is super caring and protective (I mean, his skill and burst are shields!)
He is super supportive about any of your interests. You love drawing and think you're bad still? Ge encourages you you have a lot of potential and urges you to keep going. Volelyball? You can bet he comes to watch all your games cheering you on (Kana's #1 fan!).
He is basically a master chef, he loves cooking and he is extremely good at it. Tell him what you would like to eat and he works his magic.
His food also gives you that homely, comfortable feel that usually only your mother's or grandmother's cooking gives you. Made with love!
You can bet he smells good! A mix of warm comforting and fresh smells like cinnamon and citrus. maybe sometimes a bit like a campfire in the snow... blame it on his pyro vision. But all in all, homely!
Tumblr media
"Hey! Sorry that I'm just approaching you out of the blue but... I just can't get you out of my head. Allow me to gift you these chocolates."

Tumblr media
He’s staring at it again.
The emotions inside Eren’s stomach become congested as the hustle of the sweet-coated city flows around him. Pinks and reds are splashed on billboards, stores, and streets, and by now, that’s all he can think of when he closes his eyes. The image of cut-out hearts is ingrained in his brain that he has no choice but to cringe whenever he passes by a couple during this season. It’s the dreaded time of the year that he wants no part of, not relating to the concept of giving your loved ones chocolates or extravagant serenades. He clicks his tongue at the amusing spectacles that will unfold the next day.
He’s this pessimistic when it comes to the day of hearts yet why is he staring at the display of chocolates for the fifth time this week?
Pathetic.
The bell’s jingle announces his presence in the suffocating shop.
Some students from his high school are inside, their uniforms distinct from the colour palette the shop boasts, and some of their movements halt at the sight of the aloof Eren Jaeger in Class 2-B. He hears some girls giggling to themselves because of him and he holds in a sigh. Great, this will be another year of rejecting confessions on a cursed day. Since he was a first-year, people from his school, senior or not, never learned their lesson. Eren didn’t accept a bar of single chocolate from his admirers, politely denying their motives as if they had the plague. His blank facade never falters as he aimlessly walks towards the aisle that caught his attention the entire time he was walking home the past week, the one right in front of the huge window. With hands in the pocket of his slacks, Eren trails his eyes on every brand and kind of chocolate there is.
Regular milk chocolates, dark ones, white … he stops at a certain flavour. This is a new one.
Eren retracts his hand from his pocket and picks up a bar that says pink chocolate. He snorts. Might as well name it strawberry-flavoured. However, he finds himself thinking too hard on a single bar of sweets. His eyes gain that thoughtful sheen as he stares down at the chocolate.
Then, a certain smile enters his mind.
Eren returns the chocolate on the shelf in an instant, eyelids blinking and breathing ragged. His heart has no reason to beat this fast so why is it racing? His cheeks heat up when he thinks of the probable reason for his uncharacteristic behaviour. Eren covers his glowing cheeks with his hand, already turning away from the chocolate aisle to escape this Cupid-infested wonderland. He falters ever so slightly. The hand on his face lowers until they rest on top of his pounding heart. Questions flood his mind. He already asked Armin and Mikasa about this and all they can say is that it's because of the girl in Armin’s class that Eren keeps asking about. There’s absolutely no way. He glances at the chocolates before huffing and striding out of the store.
Again, Eren does the opposite and now he’s holding up the bar of pink chocolate over his head in his bedroom.
His hair is a mess from the constant raking and his pillow becomes a victim of his many punches. He’s so angry with himself for going with what his heart has been telling him. The more rational side of him was commanding him to leave it be, that this fuzzy feeling he got around you will pass. He’s been trying for four months already but to no avail, he’s still getting all stiff when you walk past him in the hallways or when you meet his gaze every time you ask for Mikasa in front of his classroom. One will think that he’s being stubborn but he always denies it and says that your effect on him is merely a spark of attraction. Nothing more. He curses Mikasa in his head for putting ideas that it’s called having a crush. Eren doesn’t do those. Yeah, he kissed some girls here and there during middle school but that was purely for the sake of experience (they were from games of truth or dare, to begin with).
The contrast between you and the other girls around him shines like the nearest luminary. He has no choice but to look away and hide.
His eyes flicker, transporting him to a day filled with cherry blossom petals drifting like rain.
Eren spat out one pink petal that landed on his lips. It was the first day of club activities and he was already getting bossed around by Captain Midget as he liked to call him in his head. He nearly decked a fellow second-year named Jean when the guy started snickering at his misery.
While bringing in the scoreboard from one of the storage rooms of the gymnasium, he heard someone shouting. They say that curiosity can kill. Eren never believed that because his curiosity led him to you. You, in the track team’s uniform, standing in front of a guy who looked like he was on the verge of tears. Eren stayed in the corner of the gymnasium to hide himself, peeking with half-lidded, judgmental eyes at your back. Just two weeks in the school year and there was already a confession? Who even are you?
“You are by far the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen in my life—.” Eren snorted. “—And I’ve gathered enough courage to stand in front of you right now after years of pining during middle school. You may not remember me but I was your classmate last year, I was sitting in the same row as you. You were always so kind and graceful and talented and hardworking … and I thought it’s a great idea to … ask you out because I admire you so much!”
You were rigid in your spot. Eren noticed how your shoulders rapidly move up and down as if you’re catching your breath. Your hands were clenching and unclenching by your sides. Then, you bowed.
“I’m sorry. I don’t feel the same way about you. It would make me feel bad if I start dating someone I don’t have feelings for.” You kept your position lasting for a whole minute. You sounded like you were truly sorry for not being the ideal person the guy was envisioning. This looked like you were doing this for a very long time — rejecting poor boys’ confessions. “I hope you will forgive me for the rejection.” Your ponytail was preventing Eren from seeing your face. It wasn’t that Eren badly needed to see it but he was baffled at how you managed to bewitch someone to the point of crying. You gasped when the boy pushed you upright and clutched on your arms with a vice grip. “Hey, what are you doing?!”
“You’re as arrogant as many people say!” The boy shouted at your face. Eren could see that you were flinching at the abrupt physical contact. “At first, I never believed the rumours going around about how cold you are to guys who vie for your attention but now I see that you’re nothing like the perfect person you want to portray! Isn’t it enough for you to see me cry? Do you want to see me grovel in front of you, too?! What’s the use of a pretty face if you’re just a cold-hearted bitch?!”
He kept shaking you until you stumbled backward. Eren had no other choice but to put the scoreboard down and intervene.
“Hey!” He yelled while pushing the boy away from you. He mustered the scariest glare he ever gave to a person (courtesy of being around that senior of his who looked ready to throttle someone to the ground). “Can’t you take a no?” Eren gestured behind him, where you were hiding behind him. “She turned you down, dude, can’t you get a hint that she’s not interested in you? Respect her answer if you do like her! And besides, who handles rejections like that? Are you five?”
Eren was a passionate individual. Once he saw something not entirely right, he almost always took it upon himself to correct the wrongs. An example would be the situation at the moment. He wouldn’t just stand by and watch someone get manhandled like that. No girl should ever be treated like that. But, from what he gathered, you’re most likely part of the more known students in the school — a member of the track team (maybe one of their best runners), a perfect individual that teachers most likely glorify, and someone kind enough to receive attention from the school population. So, why hasn’t he heard about you? Oh, wait. Armin mentioned something along the lines of earning a new friend after moving up a class. A new friend who sounded awfully like you. He couldn’t even get a glance at you because the boy acted up again.
“You’re that dude from the volleyball club, right? The one girls are going crazy for?” The boy mockingly scoffed. “I suggest you shouldn’t mingle with people like her! Now that you saw what her true colours are, there’s no doubt that the entire school will be against her starting tomorrow. Hear that? Nobody will like you, bitch—”
Eren punched him in the face.
The boy pitifully held his red cheek. “What the hell, man?!”
“Looking at you is just sad, man. Leave her alone from now on.”
Surprisingly, your suitor complied, leaving Eren with you.
He turned around to face you. “Okay, I hope you’re alright…” His breath was taken away and all thoughts vanished from his mind.
There were no words to describe how captivating you were at that time.
Time slowed down in this area of the gymnasium, the background noises from the oval track and baseball field evening out until all he could hear was how fast his heart was racing. He swore he saw sparkles surrounding you, like from those dramas Mikasa liked to watch during weekends. Maybe it was from the way the afternoon sun cascaded its rays on the top of your head, creating a halo around your figure. You were staring up at him and every time you blinked, your eyelashes touched your skin. Your irises seemed to capture the golden drops of sunbeams and turned them into something more astounding — they were little stars. Strands of your bangs fluttered on your temples as the spring breeze blew cherry blossom petals your way. Eren’s heart pinched inside his chest just as though it pained him to look at your dainty features. The two of you remained to stare at each other with warm cheeks until a deep voice called your name from the oval.
“[Last Name]! Hurry up, it’s your turn to be timed!”
Eren drilled his eyes on the ground, not looking up to see you struggling to form words as gratitude. He only heard the voice call for your last name again yet he stayed unmoving. Only the sound of your receding footsteps made him look up. He almost, almost, wanted you to come back so that he could properly introduce himself. With a sigh, he took the scoreboard from where he left it and trudged to the volleyball club’s gymnasium. The shout of their captain rang through his head but his mind was occupied with thoughts of you. Even if Jean was red in the face for holding back his laughter, Eren continued doing the punishment drills with an impassive yet thoughtful face.
He figured that if you two belonged to different classes, you wouldn’t have reasons to talk to each other. The stars were already forming their constellations when he saw your figure standing on the school gates, hands gripping on your messenger bag. Eren looked around and wondered if you were waiting for someone. Seeing as there was no one in the main building but him and some of his members that were still in the gymnasium, he casually walked towards the gates, passing by your patient form.
“Hey!”
He continued walking.
“I’m talking to you!”
It was probably another person.
“You with the brown hair, Nike drawstring, and blue shoulder bag!”
Stopping in his tracks, Eren slightly turned his body so that he could see you from the corner of his eye.
“I forgot to tell you this because our captain was trying to record our times but … thank you for your help earlier!”
Oh. It skipped a beat.
“You’re heading to the train station? Me, too. Why don’t we walk there together?”
He could only nod.
“Great! Shall we…?”
“... Eren. Eren Jaeger.”
You beamed. “[Name]. [Name] [Last Name]. A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Eren.”
The scent of something palpable is your subtle peach perfume. A feeling that’s itching in his chest, turning the pupas into butterflies and the buds into cherry blossoms that clog his throat. It’s walking to the station after club activities. Sometimes, they take the form of coincidental occurrences like spotting each other on the train during early mornings, or most of the time, they morph into simple conversations in the hallways. These simple little things are enough for Eren to get to know you better as his acquaintance. You seem to have a liking for strawberry flavoured beverages and snacks, always popping some into your mouth before you run so that it can give you an energy boost. You like reading a certain genre of books to the point that he sees you and Armin talk during breaks. You’re one of the best runners in the entire track team, even winning some competitions for the school whenever there are tournaments. You adore animals, stopping by the back of the school building to feed the stray cat when it’s your turn to take out the trash of your class.
These subtle moments with you turn into something more when he starts looking for you in a crowd of students; when he seems to ask his best friends more information about you; when he drops by your classroom with the pretence of visiting Armin only to stare at you from the doorway; or when he cheers for you the loudest during your race. He strongly denies it when his club members point out how weird he’s been acting around the ace of the track team. You’re only just a friend. Yeah, he found you pretty the first time he officially met and talked to you but that doesn’t mean he automatically likes you romantically. Of course, he doesn’t like you as someone more than a friend. But when you wear his spare uniform while attending some of his games or how you hide your face away when you’re becoming flustered or how you tuck a stray lock of hair behind your ears while studying, everything becomes murky and he’s left in a standstill.
The sound of lockers reverberated at the entrance of the main building. Eren was late again because Mikasa left early for her club’s morning practice. He badly needed a new alarm clock, one that was not easily breakable even when thrown to the floor. He switched his shoes into his indoor ones and yawned into his palm, juggling with a tall cup of iced Americano in his other hand. The closed locker in front of him misted as he felt the telltale signs of another yawn while he was sipping on his coffee.
“Oh, good morning, Eren.”
That seemed to fully wake him up.
The brown-haired boy lifted his eyes until he was met with your curious irises. There were still tears prickling the corners of his eyes but he chose to blatantly stare at you decked in the school P.E. uniform for a couple of seconds, only stopping when you tilted your head in the question of his behaviour. He scratched his nape and looked away to prevent you from seeing his reddened cheeks.
“I was wondering where you were earlier,” you told him with your hands behind your back. “The train ride feels empty without you sharing your dreams and nightmares with us.”
By us, you meant Armin and Mikasa. After getting to know Eren that fateful day, you perfectly fit in his little circle as if you were a part of it since the beginning. Mikasa was curious about you since Armin had been saying great things regarding you and she, along with the animated blond, welcoming you to the group. You wondered where he and Mikasa were when you only saw Armin on the train that morning. The blond mentioned the black-haired girl doing her morning drills with the other softball players but he never recalled Eren telling him he had early practises with the volleyball club.
“Uh, I overslept,” Eren answered, almost sheepishly. He had to work on being less embarrassing around you.
“I see,” you murmured.
“Stop looking at me like that.”
“Like what?”
Eren narrowed his eyes at you, his teeth biting the straw of his preferred beverage. “Like you’re assuming the worst of me. Come on, our second period hasn’t even started yet. I’m completely in the clear here. Good thing it was you who saw me while entering the building.” He sighed, thinking about the hall monitor who was too hyperactive for his liking or his captain who would wring his neck if he had any taint on his school record. “Plus, Mikasa covered for me earlier. Don’t know what she said but it could be convincing enough for the teacher to leave me be.”
You hummed.
“You’re doing it again,” the brown-haired boy grumbled under his breath. He aggressively slurped the iced Americano, which caught your attention.
“I see you’re trying to give yourself a palpitation, Eren,” you dryly stated.
The boy sighed. “Again, stop looking at me like I did the worst thing possible to mankind.”
“I don’t trust that drink. It looks … bitter.”
Eren looked at you through his eyelashes. He held the drink towards you with half-lidded eyes, not caring the implication of his actions. “You wanna try?”
He inwardly laughed at the grimace painting your face. “You know me, Eren, I can’t tolerate bitter foods and drinks.” Yeah, he knew about that, which was why he asked you with the pretence of getting a rise out of you. You looked so adorable in his eyes when you were pouting or glaring at him because of something idiotic that he did. A sentiment that he never admitted out loud to anyone but the pillows he punched inside his room.
“Well, it won’t hurt to try, right? Besides, I’ll buy something sweet as compensation, you don’t have to worry about your palate getting ruined by my Americano.”
He wasn’t expecting you to take the cup from his hands. His mind blanked out at the sight of you sipping on his drink, right in his straw — the straw that he just drank from. His eyelids fluttered as he took a deep inhale, holding it while watching you try his drink. It felt like hours but in actuality, it only lasted for about a few seconds before his tall cup appeared in front of his eyes. It blocked his view of your plush lips that were slightly shining from a lip balm. He gingerly took back his drink with his eyes not meeting yours. Why was he getting flustered with you drinking from the same straw? He had no problems when his friends did that but why was his heart palpitating? Not because of the caffeine, but because of the thought of indirectly kis—
No. Eren mentally shook his head.
He never said a word when you waved goodbye since your classmates called you for P.E. He never said anything when he trailed his eyes at your retreating back. He never said what he was feeling when he raised the cup to mindlessly drink from it, stare still fixed on where you just disappeared.
Instead of bitterness, he tasted strawberries.
Eren stops fiddling with the chocolate bar and stares into space for a couple of seconds.
Then, he screams into his pillow.
Peeking from his battered pillow, Eren’s face contorts into a distressed expression, cheeks blossoming into a pretty shade of blush. His eyes wander to the Pochacco plush toy you gave him before they went to the semi-finals of their tournament. You never know this but he named this plush after you. As a return, Eren gave you a Kuririn stuffed toy that’s a lot bigger than the one you gave him, almost the size of a throw pillow. When you received it after winning your club’s tournament, you hugged it tightly against your chest, flashing the most beautiful smile at him. Mindlessly, he picks up the Pochacco plush toy and stares at it with blank eyes before bursting into another fit.
“Eren! What are you doing up there?!”
“Nothing, Mom!” He groans with flaming cheeks. “Nothing,” he murmurs through his pillow.
He hopes it’s nothing. That this foreign feeling scratching against his rib cage turns out to be far from what others guessed.
But why does it hurt when he’s listening to your voice right now?
“How many people gave you chocolates, [Name]?”
Eren’s not expecting you to answer that question with a smile, one that reaches your eyes and turns it into a pool of starlight he wants to drown into. So, that’s why your bag feels heavier than usual.
“Forty, including the people in my class.”
“What?”
Just remembering the incident in the classroom earlier makes you smile. “Our classroom president suggested this way before Valentine’s season. They proposed an event where we have to bring enough chocolates for everyone in our class. Some of us bought those money-like chocolates or just the tiny ones, packed in a jar so that it’s not a hassle. But some went over-the-top with their chocolates, it’s quite cute actually. You can know if they hold any affection for someone in the class.”
“Oh.”
He saw the chocolate bars nestling inside your bag while he was waiting for you outside your classroom. If he has to be honest, the money-shaped or tiny chocolates can be counted on one finger. The rest are fancy ones someone can buy from the chocolate shop he bought the pink chocolate bar from.
“Oh, I forgot to mention that Armin also received some Toblerones and Ferrero. Everybody was teasing him because the chocolates were all mixed up and we don't know who gave him those!” Your laugh rings out in the station, almost like a melody emanating from a lyre. It’s the kind of music Eren wants to listen to every single day since he met you but right now, he has no strength to solely focus on your voice and pretty features. “Poor guy, ever since he got that haircut, people have been flocking around him. Kind of like you, Eren. Speaking of, how many chocolates did you receive this Valentine’s?”
“Ah,” a mirthless chuckle comes out of his lips. “None.”
None that matters.
Why is he expecting to receive one from you?
You don’t hold an ounce of admiration for him. You never go starry-eyed at every action he does. You never swoon when he flashes a teasing smirk at you. You never back away when he leans too close into your personal space. It’s almost like he only imagined a flustered you in his dreams. You probably don’t get butterflies around him or you don’t feel the clogging of flower petals in your throat. Granted you’re the one who greeted him first thing in the morning during the train ride. He already told himself to never answer to the tugging of his heart. But why can’t he breathe right now? Like there are bouquets of red and pink carnations and daffodils preventing the air from flowing. He can slowly feel the tingle of a single butterfly, its wings sluggishly trying so hard to beat wildly again and not join the lifeless others in the bottom of his rib cage.
Eren’s hand grips on the strap of his shoulder bag too tightly, the movement jostling the pink chocolate inside his bag. How can he compete with the others? Who was the first one who gave you chocolate?
In his spiral, he never notices how you open the first compartment of your bag, one that’s separate from the other sweets you received. He never notices a bag that’s the size of his open palm resting on yours, filled to the brim with snacks with his favourite flavour — dark chocolate.
“Why don’t we make it one?”
“Huh?”
You’re so beautiful smiling at him like that.
“Here, I saved this so that I’ll be the last one who gives you something today but since you didn’t receive any, guess, I’m the first.” Your grin is blinding but Eren finds himself craving for more of your warmth.
Then, he feels it. The butterfly flutters its wings strongly now. The daffodils shrivel and morph into tulips and irises.
Hope.
For the first time, he feels hope.

What I love about SasaMiya are the consistent levels of respect, communication and understanding Sasaki and Miyano have with one another as well how realistically simple things are. 'You're interested in someone and so you want to know more about them...you want to spend time with them...you want them to take interest in you as well...Eventually that interest becomes love. You don't love a single facet of them but a combination of all of the quirks that make thwm unique and special in your eyes. Because you love them you want to treasure them. You want to tell them but you're embarrassed and afraid, you don't want to make them uncomfortable. You want them to be happy. You just want to be by their side in any shape or form... And when they return your feelings it's like a miracle, you almost can't believe it...'
So many romance anime fantasize unhealthy relationships, lack of consent and/or unclear, little to no communication, secret keeping, etc...
This show gets rid of all of those notions and I love it for that. Sasaki goes above and beyond to respect Miyano and give him the time and space he needs to figure things out wothout any pressure...and when he thinks he has crossed a line or has come close to crossing one, he's not afraid to apologize. On the other hand Miyano put deep thought and consideration into his feelings so as not to hurt Sasaki with possibly half-baked feelings...because he cared about him. When he wanted to know something, he asked Sasaki directly...When a misunderstanding happened between them, Miyano went out of his way to run after Sasaki and clear things up before they escalated. I love this constant communication and mutal consideration they have for one another.

The Jisatsu Experiment: Prologue-- Himura University
Summary: Years after Conan leaves with no explanation and Haibara becomes a distant Miyano Shiho, Ayumi graduates and heads off to Himura University-- as far away from Tokyo as she can get. She finds it hard to leave Conan and Haibara behind her despite Mitsuhiko and Genta moving on, but the mystery she's about to take on is going to begin unraveling a past she'd repressed, and it's very possible she's bitten off more than she can chew. Just how deep does this case run? Shinichi may just have to step in, but can he and Shiho stomach the mess Ayumi has gotten herself into, or save her from herself?
Okay so Homesick will be updated when my boyfriend gets around to sending me the beta, but in the meanwhile, he's a story that's been kicking around in my head for, well, YEARS. It's heavily inspired by both Nicole, the Winter Wolves Dating Sim (honestly my favorite of all time, so worth the $5) and Mystic Messenger. However, I left this story open to being a one-shot in case there is no interest! So the mysterious, scary parts can be read as references to Ayumi's past with Conan and Haibara and how it's keeping her tied down. Please enjoy!
Read it on AO3
Read it on Fanfiction.net
Things had changed over the years- not by a lot, not all at once, but little by little.
The Detective Boys never disbanded, nobody moved, nobody died, but Ran got her own place after she graduated. Kogoro's detective agency grew, and he had a few interns here and there that ran their time and carried on like clockwork. Eri had moved back in, though the two weren't sleeping in the same bed again (not that they ever said, no, Ayumi had merely made the guess because there was a warmth that wasn't quite there yet). Shinichi-niisan and Heiji-niisan were still best friends; Sonoko and Kazuha and Ran and Sera, they all hung out, had girl's nights. Haibara (Miyano? Shiho? Ai?) would join them when she wasn't working on something with the professor (who she still lived with, who was still like a father to her). Mitsuhiko found the time to balance the Detective Boys and the Science Club-- he was their president, after all, got Teitan High further than it ever had gone before in the finals despite the lacking company. Genta was still their club's strong arm, though what was once body fat was now muscle and height. He towered over most boys in their school by their first year, scared a few third-years back when. His love for food had been channeled into a love of cooking, his hobby when he wasn't solving a case or manhandling criminals. Conan had disappeared. That was that. She'd come to accept it. It still broke her heart.
Ayumi, she felt alone these days. Genta and Mitsuhiko were still there but…
Genta had a girlfriend now, small and sweet and every bit a cook as him, though her skills strayed in the area of sweet-making. Mitsuhiko would deny it until he was blue (Haibara had hurt him, hurt him so bad, and Ayumi was the only one who understood because she'd felt it too, and that pain held him back, more than he let on, and Ayumi supposed he kept it all in while she only mourned to herself) but there was a cute girl with big glasses and a sincere smile who was always looking at him. (He liked her, Ayumi could tell, but he wasn't taking that plunge and she didn't blame him).
She was the only girl left in the Detective Boys, and the only member left who had no other hobbies-- well, she dabbled in makeup as homage to a memory long past, but it was nothing she spent time on. She sorted through and selected cases, she gathered information, she put clues together as much as she could until she had Mitsuhiko's and Genta's help. The days passed, and though each hour took three to pass, she could tell the years were moving quickly, so quickly that it would almost seem right-on-time if she were to receive a letter from Conan. But she didn't. He'd left them a note and hadn't said goodbye, just that he'd be in touch but he never was. She shouldn't have been surprised, not after the fifth empty year (that's what she told herself when she started crying for no reason after a case, when she'd hide away in the bathroom for a few minutes because only Sato would see her there and know, and nobody else needed to see, nobody needed to worry, she was fine, she was fine).
Shinichi, kind as he was, tried to fill Conan's shoes, they could all tell. He was their self-proclaimed mentor, a friend and a protector (there was a fear in him and a fury she only saw when they were in danger, something she could never quite place). He taught them and molded them for a year before he seemed to back off, and she wondered if that was because he knew he couldn't replace Conan, or because he'd deducted that they all felt he couldn't. Besides, he was probably tied up with Ran-neechan. Last she'd heard, he'd moved into that apartment with her when she'd taken the leap from the agency. Haibara, she seemed to keep her distance. Sometimes Ayumi thought she wanted to reach out, but that outstretched hand would retract, and she would be cold again, and eventually it stopped killing her that she wouldn't (no it didn't, she was just used to it, expected it; Mitsuhiko wasn't there yet).
Ayumi was a social butterfly, but butterflies hardly ever stayed in one place, and she flitted from one group to another without ever truly belonging, just long enough to know names and faces. This was why she and Mitsuhiko were so alike, she'd shut down, too.
Come their third year, Ayumi was closing cases all on her own. Mitsuhiko and Genta came when she called, but she tried not to (she was scared that eventually they wouldn't come). She wondered if Shinichi knew all the trouble she was getting up to (she wondered if he cared-- why? Why did it matter if he cared?) He had to hear about it through the police, or deduce that it was her from the nameless papers drawn up hours after she'd closed her cases. She shrugged off the thought (but there were eyes in her dreams, odd ones, like a memory that she's so curious to touch but terrified to recall).
Regardless of the people and the cases and the criminals and the failures, she could put her cases on her resume, and that meant she'd get into a good university. Somewhere far away, somewhere near a beach, somewhere suburban and away from Tokyo. So she took Himura University's offer and didn't bat an eye at the distance. Her mother and father cried and fueled her packings full of microwavable food (it was enough to make the seven-year-old Genta she once knew salivate), and Mitsuhiko and Genta squeezed the daylights out of her and all three of them stood at the train and wept for an hour straight, right up until the train was making its final call and she had to go.
(Haibara and Shinichi hid a few aisles over, clutching badges they no longer wore as she cried and he pretended not to notice for her sake-- and for his.)
She got set up in the dorm room easy enough. She made her bed, hung some pictures (she debated setting the frame of the Detective Boys, all five of them, on her nightstand, and instead hid it face-down in her drawer). It took a few hours for her roommate to arrive, but she was beautiful and tan and had green eyes that sparkled when she said hello. Her name was Akiko Nishimura. They shook hands and something warm started chipping away at the cold patch where Indigo used to be.
She was scouting out her semester's classrooms and got lost when she ran into Katashi Sasaki-- and she nearly died when she looked into his eyes and saw Conan's. No glasses, just blue, familiar all the same. His hair was styled differently, more of a western cut and as yellow as the sun, but his face and his lips and his ears and his eyes… She dropped her books and he cocked an eyebrow at her and said "I was gonna ask if you needed help with those. Guess that answers my question." She'd gone red in the face, huffed and said:
"Thank you, I'm okay, though."
He tapped her head with her Math textbook and said: "Liar. Where are you headed?"
The rest was history.
She was studying on the second floor of the library, brushing up on her English and failing miserably when a boy sat down across from her. Brown eyes, auburn hair- a foreigner like Katashi, but less American, more European. He cracked a book open, glanced up at her, blinked, then turned his attention back to his textbook with a yawn. They didn't speak, though the uncomfortable air compelled every cell of her body to. She tried to concentrate on English, sound out a difficult word, but she kept stressing the R and couldn't say the L. She grimaced. "I can practically hear your brain imploding. I suggest dropping the class and studying a different language." And that was the first thing Yori Smartass Sata ever said to her. She'd glared and reminded him to be polite to strangers and returned to studying. Five minutes later, he'd proclaimed himself her tutor.
Takumi Ikeda was a frail, cowardly boy who reminded her of Mitsuhiko the first summer after Haibara and Conan had left-- a shut-in gamer who slept in the day and lived for the nightlife his roommate-less dorm-room afforded him. He was as pale as the moon itself, bright enough he nearly blinded her when she first saw him stumbling out of the nearby cafe with layers of bags under his eyes. Despite the lack of sleep, his face was rounded and baby-ish, cute with the round glasses that were falling off his nose. His large baggy sweater dipped over his shoulder as he passed by her with a murmur about "finishing Devil Souls". He'd dropped his wallet, and she'd spent the rest of the day deducing what dorm-room was his, determined to return the small bit of yen and the student ID she'd found inside. It'd taken her until the early evening, but she'd knocked and interrupted his playthrough of the newest Sunshine Valley RPG…. so it was only fair she stay and help him farm with the tricks she'd learned from the previous games.
She hadn't meant to stumble into the football locker rooms, she really hadn't, but the tan Osakan guy with a wide cocky grin and a mouth full of wit she wanted to stuff with his dirty socks- Youta Oshiro- didn't seem to have any intention of letting it go. She had the unfortunate luck of being in his Math class and in his English class and even free during the time she'd set aside in her schedule for lunch. "Caught you sneaking a peek earlier, ya just have to ask, ya know." He'd taken to clinging at her side, like he thought she had a crush on him or something, and it drove her up a wall. The other personalities she'd been used to, but a guy like him was new territory in an already-new situation, and she grew more disgruntled each day. He knew Akiko, apparently. Grew up in the same town, though they didn't speak much. He used it as an excuse to get closer to Ayumi, though. He ate lunch with her and flashed his muscles (which he certainly did have as the star football player, she'd admit), and he asked her questions about class (was actually kinda helpful when she didn't get something, almost symbiotic). She was starting to get attached to him, hardly fought against it when Katashi joined them. They were rivals? Or something. They butted heads, and she wagered it had something to do with Katashi's dad being a cop and Youta's being a shady lawyer with suspicious sources of information. She wasn't sure, but she was starting to feel at home (she could see Genta and Mitsuhiko going back and forth over the picnic table as Agasa Hakase settled them down).
She'd gotten calls from home a few times by the third week. Most were from her parents, who found the time to call despite their work schedules, but the occasional call from Genta or Mitsuhiko would trickle in. They asked how she was, if she'd taken up any cases, if she was making friends (great, not really, and more than she'd thought possible). Mitsuhiko's classes were going well, extremely so, of course, and he was confused by the attention he was getting from complete strangers (all girls, and Ayumi wondered how a boy as smart as Mitsuhiko couldn't see that the ladies were flocking to him, and wondered if maybe he was willingly ignoring it for modesty or something more painful). She'd laughed and told him to spend some time being more social; he declined initially, but she knew he'd fold. Genta was in culinary school and having the time of his life, learning new dishes, learning new tricks with knives (the thought of which made her nervous in the worst way). Neither had taken up any cases, necessarily, but the towns surrounding their schools were quiet, at least not as rambunctious as Tokyo had been. Hearing their voices was like smelling a candle that carried the scent of home, or feeling a warm blanket fresh out of the dryer. It brought tears to her eyes, and she sat on the side of her bed stifling her sobs because she didn't want Mitsuhiko or Genta to hear, didn't want them to worry because she was fine.
Akiko came home to find her leaning over her knees, burying her head in her hands and whimpering with the phone on End Call. She'd sat beside her and rubbed soothing circles into her back. "It'll get easier," (spoiler: actually, as this story unfolds, it only gets harder) she murmured, and "you've got friends here too" (another spoiler: some might not actually be friends). Ayumi leaned into her shoulder, wiping the tears from her eyes and forcing a smile. For the moment, she wasn't alone, maybe wasn't for the first time in a long time. "Hey," Akiko picked up her phone and playfully tossed it in the air for good measure, grinning at Ayumi's red-rimmed eyes. "Why don't I give Youta a call? He knows the best ice cream place and he won't tell me, but maybe he'll tell you if we guilt him with your big sad puppy eyes!"
"Akiko-chan! That's so mean!"
"Don't worry, don't worry! He owes me anyway! I did his essay last week and he still hasn't paid me."
A small bead of sweat dripped down Ayumi's head.
It took Youta only a few short minutes to arrive at their door, a scowling Katashi in toe for some reason. Ayumi didn't mind; she took it as a sign that she was meant to be with these people right now, and that was okay. Youta wrapped an arm over her shoulders and argued with Katashi about the statistics of crime in Japan and other things she had a hard time following, and Akiko clung to her other side and egged either end on like a referee who was biased (depending on who she thought was winning) and dirty. Ayumi stood, surrounded by the chaos feeling oddly serene. Whatever tears had been in her eyes before were gone, for the moment, maybe for longer, and she'd be thankful for the whirlwind she found herself at the center of right now.
She didn't notice the black car parked across the street, or the familiar eyes that haunted her dreams watching her from behind the cracked window.

I actually got COVID this month. So that was a fun experience that I would not recommend. Due to that and the pup, I had a tough time focusing on much and didn’t get as much as done as I wanted to but at least I’m now up-to-date on Sword Oratoria. Yay for the little things.
Meanwhile, in seasonal anime: Ranking of Kings is still excellent, Vanitas season two is really good, and Priconne season two is off to a good start. Tropical-Rouge Precure ended really well and I loved the final episode enough that it ended up taking Shadow House’s place on my top 10 of 2021 list. It’s just such a fun series overall and it really grew on me the more that I watched it. There was the occasional mediocre episode but I really enjoyed my time with it overall and I’m going to miss these girls. (btw my current Precure anime ranking is Hearthcatch > Healin’ Good > Tropical Rouge >>>>>> Kirakira (dropped at ep 10 and have yet to pick it up again). Also, my favourite cure is Cure Earth from Healin’ Good.)
The Sasaki and Miyano anime is fine but I feel like I only get enjoyment out of it because I already like the manga. Like, it’s cute but the anime’s not bringing anything new to the series. I also don’t like the directing style and I find the flying shapes to be more distracting than anything else. It’s fine but it could be better.
I was going to wait until the series was closer to completion before starting it but I ended up watching Digimon Ghost Game and I really like it so far. It’s so good and does so many things right and has really reignited my love for the franchise. I particularly like the way that each enemy digimon has a distinct personality and motive instead of them all just fighting with no clear motive except instinct. It’s a big change from Adventure 2020 which started out with having very few digimon who were able to even talk. It makes things more interesting and makes the monsters more sinister because they have clear intelligence. There’s a lot to like here and it just keeps on getting better.
Now, as for my ranking of 2021 anime: 1. Ranking of Kings | 2. SSSS.Dynazenon | 3. The Aquatope on White Sand | 4. Laid-Back Camp 2 | 5. Love Live Superstar | 6. Heaven’s Design Team | 7. Sk8 the Infinity | 8. Backflip | 9. Komi Can’t Communicate | 10. Tropical Rouge Precure. Full ranking on AnimePlanet here. Favourite character: Thinking about it, I’m going to go with Tailmon. The only real competition is Kage from Ranking of Kings and there’s always next year for him. Tailmon is one of the few things that made the remake of Digimon Adventure worth it and her bonding episodes with Hikari are probably going to be the only ones that I rewatch in the future. Favourite OP: Sk8 the Infinity with Komi being a close second. ED: This is hard because there were so many good EDs this year. I’m going to go with Love Live Superstar with Ranking of Kings a close second and Shadows House and SSSS.Dynazenon being honourable mentions. Favourite voice actor performance: Rina Hidaka as Laura in Tropical Rouge Precure. The show would be a lot worse without her charming performance. Every voice actor in Shadows House gets an honourable mention.

No new releases for next month again which is a good thing at this point. My goal is to read the new volumes of Watanare and Urasekai Picnic.

Sasaki to Miyano Analysis Ch. 1: Miyano’s feelings
The first chapter of Sasaki to Miyano show Miyano and Sasaki’s first meeting and the first time Miyano lends BL to Sasaki. Naturally, as the first chapter need to set up the rest of the story. I’ll be looking at how Miyano feels for Sasaki during this chapter because it kinda changes a lot.
As we all know, the two met when Sasaki stepped in when Kuresawa got beaten up (though we don’t learn the last part during this chapter).

This is September Scanlations’ translation. The official translation says “Watching that senpai from behind filled me with a secret longing.” Now that’s fairly different. But this is a pretty import part of the story and when doing a close reading of a translated text it’s good to look at the original text regardless of whether or not you know the language, so let’s look at what the Japanese text says. Keep in mind that my Japanese is almost non-existent. The following is in large part from my googling skills (beyond google translate).
The original text here is 「その先輩の後ろ姿にひそかにあこがれた」
その = that
先輩の = senpai’s
後ろ = back
姿に = figure and/or appearance (there are technically more meanings to this word but those seemed to be the most relevant)
ひそかに = secret
あこがれた = longed for; yearned after; admired; was attracted by
The first part (その先輩の後ろ姿に) seems to essentially mean “The figure of that senpai’s back.” But the important part is the feeling あこがれた, which is the past form of あこがれる. The above meaning is what every online Japanese-English dictionary says. After some (a lot) more googling, I’ve come to the conclusion that, while it depends a bit on context, when you say it about the person, it means that you admire the person and that you want to be like them. The ひそかに part means that Miyano kept that feeling secret.
So that’s Miyano’s impression from their first meeting. But that was from the first meeting where Sasaki was like this:

and now Miyano has found out that Sasaki is normally like this (towards Miyano anyway):

Sasaki actually does a lot of things that Miyano doesn’t like. He calls him cute, touches him a lot, and embarrasses him with his questions about the BL terms Miyano uses, all of which Miyano asks him not to do. Though it does make him happy when Sasaki asks Miyano to lend him manga. And then he gets really happy when Sasaki says that he liked the manga Miyano lent to him.
Tumblr media
This scene is actually the first time Miyano smiles in Sasaki to Miyano. Even when Sasaki says that he wants to read what Miyano likes to read, he doesn’t actually smile. Sasaki smiles all the time around Miyano, but Miyano has mostly been bothered by Sasaki. But now he can share his interest with Sasaki so there is a part of their relationship that he can be genuinely excited about now.
So Miyano’s feelings towards Sasaki during this chapter goes from “someone I admire” to “someone who’s bothering me” to “someone I can share my passion with.”
