I like to give out the fun fact that we have a fairly rare orange girl cat, but I did some reading and found out that apparently that's not possible unless the father is orange, too. And, well.

He's not orange. Her mother is a calico, and the only other possible father in the house at that time was a flame point siamese, who was white. So, uh.

Anyone got any idea why Starling turned out the way she is??

I think I just came up with an original thought to put out into Tumblr! A logical puzzle that I don't have the answer to myself, but I would LOVE to see people who are much smarter than me think about!

(Inspired by my most recent video on reading comprehension, which contained a debate on is more valuable / practical, $30 in bills or $30 in coins, and me reading the comments under said video!)

You know that silly riddle, which is heavier, a ton of bricks or a ton of feathers? (Trick question, they're both a ton.) Well, what I really want to know is...

If you have a pound of $1 bills, and a pound of $1 coins, what is the difference in their total monetary value? Is it a very dramatic difference? What kind of fraction / percentage / ratio would the comparison be?

GuYs i can’t fRiCkInG MOVE because i fucked up my ankle on Thursday and it got worse !!!! I played netball on it & idk what the hell is going on did i sprain it ????? is something broken ??????? did i pull a ligament ??????? I DON’T KNOOOOWWWWWWW

but anyways i’m still in bed because of this dilemma. haven’t moved more than ten steps (had to plug in my phone & get my laptop) all day, i’ve been awake for about, oh, five hours.

It was taken towards the west at 17:55 with sunset about 30° to the left. We tried moving to where we could get a better look for the trees, but we turned a corner and it was completely gone. It lasted at LEAST 5 minutes, no telling how long it had been there before we noticed it.
