💛 What is the most impactful lesson you’ve learned about writing?

hmm.. to take a break when you need to, but also to keep writing if you're like, really focused/have the chance to be zoned in. i think i write most efficiently when i'm on planes and for as little as i go on them i wish that were a joke

🚦What sort of endings do you prefer to write: ambiguous, bad, happily ever after, etc.?

honestly depends on the fic!! but i like hopeful endings a lot + endings that leave you with one or two questions to chew on :)

🎨 If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?

OHH gosh i'd be delighted just to see any fanart

i think one of the ones i'd want the most isn't from a fic i've published yet, but it'd be the first scene of burn the skies where hirotsu is looking down at lab creature!15skk

or any part from my inverted sgk fic- i'd love to see inverted jouno in a dress hehe

i think if i started rambling about misc scenes i'd want to see illustrated we'd be here forever though lol

You know between JC deciding to officially call SGK ‘Levi’ and Merula’s casual outfit design I think they actually do take inspiration from the fandom sometimes lmao

Oh, they always have. If you ask me, that's been clear for a while that they listen, even if they don't always do what we want. Remember during the Prefect TLSQ, the very first TLSQ ever, when Charlie remarked on how he liked the way Professor Flitwick would just stare at you and smile when you got questions right? The humor of this game has gradually become much more self-aware, and if nothing else, they clearly keep an eye out for what characters are popular enough to be added (or removed) as love interests. Taking creative inspiration is a step further, but the direction that Quidditch is going in almost does feel like a response to the feedback Season 2 got. The drama is still present, but Skye has risen above it and now she and Rath are friends. Not to mention that, at least so far, the main character arc happening is for Orion. Merula's casuals could just be a coincidence but the similarity is so striking that I personally feel like someone on the team saw the fanart and remembered it later, intentionally or not. In my own personal case, I sort of doubt Jam City has actually seen any of my posts or fan-works, but some of the story beats of my first fic actually ended up playing out during Year 6, especially in Y6CH18 and Y6CH35. Though maybe that's just me making lucky predictions or something.
