I've been reading the Percy Jackson books for the first time over the past two weeks! Just finished "The Battle of the Labyrinth" last night (which btw is my favorite of the series so far!!)

I have now gained a new obsession but it might not be what you think

Wonder what jin was thinking when he wrote kido's backstory. like its such a dramatic over the top edgy soap opera

kano and seto's backstories are already very sad, kano with an abusive mom and seto being bullied so badly he gets his pet killed. that's already horrible. but for kido jin said ratio + their mom died + their dad killed his wife + he puts them and their half sister in a spooky dungeon + sets house on fire + by the way the dad does all this claiming kido's mom is his one true love and kido is all he has of her so he intends to "get rid of his old life"(=his wife daughter and house) and run away with kido + in response kido (approximately 11 years old) kills their father in self defense + they aren't willing to leave their sister chained and alone to die in the fire so they refuse to escape alone and perishes in the fire with her. like. SORRY????

In Beetlejuice 2, I hope the Maitlands get to be in the movie. I know the actors have aged and ghosts don't age, but I'd be fine if they took on the form of their "scary" selves.

A big part of the story was the two becoming a second set of parents to Lydia. They wanted children but it was heavily implied that they were infertile

In the end it seemed like they were the ones doing the hands on parenting. They were the ones that greeted her when she arrived home from school and Adam was the one that helped her study for her math test and was the one who was expecting good grades.

Lydia also agreed to marry Beetlejuice to save them and as soon as they could they were doing every thing they could to save her.

So I hope that they can find a way to work them into the sequel as Jenna Ortega's character's doting ghost grand parents. Maybe Jenna's character can't see them but she can talk to them? We can see them briefly from Lydia maybe at the end of the movie.

On another note, I hope Lydia gets to be a goth mom. I'd also like it if Jenna's character was the complete opposite and was preppy and embarrassed by her mom. That will save Ortega from being typecast and she can show off other aspects of her acting. But its also cool if she's also a goth. (And we can get a joke where she and her mother are referred to as Morticia and Wednesday Addams).

Rewatching Biker Mice from Mars (1993) and I forgot how considerate the guys are towards Charley.

Yeah, they're big, macho mice who can get cocky and rowdy, but they respect Charley a lot.

In ep. 6, when Throttle goes to save his brothers and shouts at Charley to not follow him bc it's dangerous, he rounds back and takes her hand, sincerely telling her this was not her fight but that he still appreciates her help.

Modo apologizing to her in ep 4 or 5 for crashing into her and causing all the hot dogs she prepared for them to get ruined.

Vinnie being a goofball and a flirt overall but always there to save her when she needs it and backing off when Charley makes it clear she's had enough of his teasing.

How the first time she goes to help the guys, she dresses up as Limburger's new secretary in a typical short sexy skirt, the guys didn't pressure her into the idea, Charley just showed up and did it on her own. They did comment on her appearance, but Charley didn't seem offended by their behavior (they also had the decency not to stare too much, I see you Modo staring at her butt when she turned around)

Really appreciate seeing typically macho male characters (and the show) have so much respect and love for female characters.
