there's something i just can't get over how badly Love Live! has fucked over any chance at ever having a successful mobile game ever again like. the good news is SIF2's fiasco isn't a death sentence for LL as a franchise like that is for a lot of other things bc LL is still a very merchandise-driven franchise and it still makes more money form cd sales and merch and sales tickets (y'know, irl idol stuff)

but like. SIF was the Queen of rhythm games. it ruled by sheer popularity so the moment things like Bandori and Uma Musume and other rhythm games started taking off and that market became oversaturated it couldn't hold onto the crown anymore. so they kill SIF to focus on All Stars. and rather than trying to maintain two different kind of games they just kill All Stars. and then they release SIF2 as an ungodly terrible buggy mess so. here we are.

it's amazing. like i'm not too concerned about LL just like dying but considering barely has even heard of the vtuber thing i really am curious what the fuck they're gonna do next
