Absolutely horrified, I played a match of pier where we (BLU) were heading for failure. I was soldier and figured since we were gonna lose I might as well practice my direct hit aim and switched, but literally when I got to the cart which was going on overtime, our medic is there. Our medic has 100% uber. He has the kritzkrieg. I am the only person around and he makes eye contact with me. I am using the DH which I JUST switched. Today is a bad aim day. I don't do well being ubered, it throws out my composure. I shake my head no at him no please but he mercilessly jumps on my heels and chases me to the enemy team, who are clumped up in groups and literally right there. You cannot believe the utter misery I had staring at them, knowing I had 0 splash in my hands.
Then our medic kritzes me up and the most embarrassing thing in my life happens, NOT A SINGLE SHOT HITS. The enemy team isn't even moving. Full duration, I am blasting, I am shooting, I am missing everything. I didn't even get the fucking Sniper, who was just standing there like a bullseye. Practically begging me to blow him to bits. I quickly found one thing we had in common: neither of us could hit shit. After my absolutely atrocious display, where I could FEEL my medic's life draining out of him behind me as I was on the other end of seeing my careful planning and care of harboring my uber, seeng all my effort wasted in seconds on my pocket without a single bloody limb to show for it, we quickly perished from the enemy team's much more competent duo. And then we lost right after because it was overtime. We would have capped if I ran anything else. Never going to forget the look in my medic's eyes when I turned around after my blunder. Never again.

since i was a complete idiot and left my charger at my uncle’s house and probably won’t be able to hit my replies now until tomorrow (though I still may try, they just may be mobile), here’s more headcanons for bg3!verse salome —
this isn’t anything particularly new, but salome’s hair is about comparable to orin’s in length. and unless she has recently bathed, is heading to bed, or there’s some other circumstance that calls for it? she plaits it at the bare minimum, either into one or two individual braids. most of the time after that, she twists them up into a bun of some sort because having roughly a half pound worth of hair swinging in all directions all day? isn’t actually all that comfortable. if salome saw how orin treats her hair tbqh she would probably be mortified. all that effort to grow it that long, just to more or less destroy day in and out lol.
if you happen to see her not with her hair plaited? it’s spiral curls for days.
provided she’s not going out to forage, wander, or whatever else? she has a preference for dresses. she doesn’t have to modify anything to accommodate her leg brace. when she does have to go out and needs to cover her legs? she’ll either wear a pair of looser fitting pants, or in some cases, she simply just hacks off the material mid-thigh on the left leg and strings a cord through it so that she can cinch it tight. It is not fashionable, but it works.
it’s salome, so you know the drill with jewelry. whatever she’s wearing is huge, probably has bones and crystals all over it, and she made it herself by twisting the various wires holding it together with her teeth and the painstaking back and forth of a hand drill from her loom kit. no rest for the adhd afflicted, no matter the realm lol.
colorwise? switches around a bit depending on the seasons, but tends to hover in the range of black with a side of neutral earth tones. juniper green makes an appearance fairly often. dark teal strangely does not, despite the fact it is her signature color.
if you weren’t aware of it already, salome’s eyes are a rich amber hue. they compliment the large smattering of freckles she has along her cheeks and shoulders. she also has a mole under her right eye.
all of her tattoo work is based on amazigh tattoos. chin is a blessing for beauty and is received very young. cheek tattoos relate directly to clan, identity and birth order. the right person can look at her and know exactly what her status is was. not exactly ideal when you’re trying to hide your identity. she has similar tattooing all along her fingers, hands, and upper arms.
also mentioned previously, but worth sticking into an official post: her strength when fighting is mounted archery with a composite bow. you become very efficient at shooting things when it’s do or die anyway, but relying on something else to be your legs eliminates the problem of the muscle weakness in her bad one (and if you’re new here, bg3/da!verse salome got knifed by in the spine and that’s why she wears a leg brace and no walk so gud sometimes.)
