Smaugust:Gem

These large, gorgeous dragons, are born a rather dull brown color, however they are also born with a kind of gemstone, such as diamond, emerald, jasper, or the like, which it’s scales then grow to copy in color and shimmer. It also grows long crystals from rid back that work like wings.

Sadly, they used to be hunted rather often for their gems, however they are now under protection and thriving as a species.
