Well. Ain't that a kick in the head! If one server gets taken down, it's entirely possible to take another one down for the exact same reason! And saying you'll only hand out links privately... hate to break it to ya, but I, the host, am a Theatre kid. Acting is a hobby, and one I'm damn good at. You hand out links privately, only to people you deem trustworthy? Honey, that is my forte. ;)

It's because, surprise surprise, fakeclaiming is harmful. It doesn't matter what it is, if you're getting fakeclaimed over a unique and individual experience/identity, that can (and sometimes will, sadly) cause a spiral that can lead to some nasty places. Depression. Isolation.

Even places like self-harm and suicide.

We are here because your server is harmful. We are here because you present an active threat to the community. But of course your HIGHNESS can't bear to think they're the problem!

Well. You see, while I personally choose to censor Discord usernames to close loopholes like this, it's actually not the same as if you sent a Tumblr handle. What you're seeing in those screenshots are not identifiers, they are server nicknames. Which are specific to THAT SERVER ONLY. Unlike places like Tumblr and Twitter, where seeing your name automatically means someone can find you, on Discord it's actually not possible (that I know of) to doxx someone through a server nickname alone. So no, actually, Sophie didn't leave your username out there, only a server nickname, and the two are not the same. So yes, actually. Because Discord is it's own site with it's own way of handling usernames, it is perfectly acceptable what Sophie did (although not perfectly ideal), because nobody is going to be able to use those names alone to doxx and/or harass.

And finally, the final update as of writing this post... the almighty @ everyone ping...

So um… I don’t see enough people talking about Sophie’s older claim that the Abrahamic God (specifically the Christian version) is a system.

Look, I get it, the whole three people are one person thing? Yes, I get how on the surface that is absolutely a plurality staple. But that’s like… a piss baby understanding of the Trinity.

First of all, not all Christians accept the Trinity in the first place, so if Sophie says the Christian God is a system I’d be asking “which version of the Christian God”.

Certainly not the version of God from the Latter Day Saints, because they believe that the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are three distinct beings that are united in purpose known as “the Godhead”. And I’m sorry, despite what everyone says, they consider themselves a Christian creed, even if they are not a sect or denomination but a whole different religious group.

Certainly not the version of God observed by Jehovah’s Witnesses, who reject any divine claim of Christ and believe the Holy Spirit is an extension of God rather than any personified entity.

Certainly not Orthodoxy, which does not say that the Spirit proceeds from the Son.

Certainly not Christian Scientists, or Oneness Pentecostals, or La Luz del Mundo Christians, or Unitarian Universalist Christians (in some cases). None of these have Trinitarian beliefs and they’re all Christian.

But sure, tell me how it is that it’s fine to throw a blanket statement over all of the different flavors of Christianity like they’re all the same.

Maybe a non-religious person with no experience outside of American Christendom should NOT be speaking about religious topics.

If you wanna headcanon that for yourself, feel free to remember that you’re making a headcanon on someone else’s firmly and sincerely held beliefs like it’s an AO3 fic.

God, are you fucking 5? You act like you know better than experts and people who live through those experiences. Making a statement like that only serves to do two things: attract religious people who agree with you, and piss off religious people who don’t.

It’s not about research, it’s not about any sort of cultural delicacy, it’s not about genuine curiosity, it’s about numbers for your army of little keyboard goblins.

In another post, this user also claimed I'm treated as a literal God by radqueers which... obviously also total nonsense. As much as "Radqueer God" sounds like an epic title, that's not a thing.

Practically my only interaction with that community is responding to the occasional asks about it.

Telling someone to force themselves to dissociate until they saw themselves in third person and couldn't think straight.

No one has ever offered an explanation for what this supposedly meant or who I allegedly told this. My best guess is that it's twisting my switching guide, which does have you imagine your body in third person to help you switch with another headmate. But that's only a guess.

And if so, it supposedly being extremely dangerous is a lie too. Plenty of cultures practice out of body experiences in safe ways.

There’s a very kind, polite person in syscourse right now. She’s so sweet to everyone! She rarely curses, she uses 😜 so many 🤷‍♀️ fun emojis 🤭, and a lot of people love her! Meanwhile, SAS is incredibly salty, very hurt, and incredibly crass.

This is the person we’re up against (if we had to make it a fight, which I’m not looking to throw hands — maybe just a cute debate date over Starbucks and maybe some internal screaming). This is the type of mentality we fight against. “You’re a bad person so I’m going to make it my goal to make sure that you never feel safe anywhere ever again.”

This might actually be worse than just telling someone to go die. This is wishing long-term suffering on people, this is wanting people to truly feel the worst mental pain in isolation, and it takes true malice to wish this on people over syscourse.

Anyways, since I can talk about her on this blog, and since the anon in my inbox wants me to stfu apparently:

Sophie’s response to the anon was worse than the anon imo.

That isn’t to say the anon wasn’t horrific. That was genuine homicidal wishes from the anon described graphically.

The adult response to that is to, at most, address the falsehoods of what they said in an isolated post, and then report the anon/block the anon for harassment.

Instead, she wanted to write a few paragraphs about how people like this should suffer mentally (a running theme more and more in her posts), how they should be completely isolated from everyone they’ve ever loved, and how she hopes they hurt.

Anyone who supports that behavior needs to get the fuck off my blog.

No, we do not need to engage bigots. Yes, we are allowed to ostracize them by not responding. No, you should not then give them the attention they desire by spreading their vitriol to your ridiculous amount of followers, followers who have already been shown to take your words and run with them. Here’s the scenario I’m seeing in my mind:

Anon now leaves this interaction having gotten the rage they wanted from the user they sent hate to

Anon also knows that the only people who will support them, to avoid the fate Sophie wants for them, are those who agree, helping anon fall further into the mentality they were in. (This has been seen time and time again, from Mormons to TERFs forcing people to remain in the community by showing the reaction others have to them)

Sophie’s Followers now see the message from a person they support, which is “You’re allowed to wish everlasting mental hellscape upon the people who deserve it.” The followers decide that People They Don’t Like are this. (Gee, I wonder where I got that hate anon from this morning that mentioned her name…)

Responding to hatred with more hatred rarely benefits anyone but yourself. Again — the anon was wrong. That was heinous. Nobody is supporting what they said in this current debate.

But two wrongs don’t make a right. And what you said was fucked up, Sophie. Stop downplaying it as “I just am saying to ostracize a bigot!”

You told someone who clearly is fucked up that they deserve to be completely, 100% isolated from every single person, space, and thing that makes them feel safe. And you based it around them being anti-endo in your post. You based it around fucking syscourse.

I've been stalking syscourse for a while now, and yes, I do GLADLY AND WILLINGLY follow SophieInWonderland. Why, you may ask?

Well, that's none of your business why, really.

Has Sophie made mistakes in the past? Definitely. Sophie's still a person, after all. But the posts they're making now show they're at least making an effort, an educated effort, using sources from multiple different places, to back up their arguments. That's more than a lot of Anti-Endos can say actually!

As someone who isn't even part of that community, this news comes as much of a shock to me as anyone. But I guess that former radqueer would know better than I would how I'm perceived there. 🤷‍♀️

This news leaves me uncertain of how to proceed.
