i had this fun early 2000's family comedy spy movie idea in my head where dirk is a super secret international spy who had kids with roxy when they were young (accident). roxy took the twins and now dirk lives with his buddy and spy partner jake out at some super secret hideout in the middle of nowhere. they're planning one of the biggest heists of the century when someone manages to trigger one of the alarms and infiltrate their base and they catch the intruder and it's dirk's 12 year old daughter, rose, who's doing a presentation on her family for school and wants to interview dirk so she can get an A+ for it.

meanwhile at home dave is freaking out because he's been dressing up and pretending to be rose for the past few days but the babysitter their mom hired after heading out on an important business trip is starting to get suspicious about the fact that dave and rose never seem to be in the same room...

yeah. rose would be one of those advanced college reading level genius kids who uses big fancy vocab words and is extremely smart and adjusts speedily in a scary way. she'd tag around dirk and jake in the base for a while as they try to figure out what to do with her and get involved in their heist and try to help out somehow. also there'd probably be some family drama moments between dirk and rose and all that. dave would be wearing one of those gamer boy middleschool tshirts in every scene and playing fake videogames on a xbox. simon pegg would appear at some point.

New Projects

So I have a number of ideas laying around for fics, I just want to get through Taboo before publishing any of them. Keyword there is want; I may change my mind on a whim and publish something entirely different than Taboo but for now im sticking to my original plan. To give a simple idea of what projects I plan to work on I’ll make a list;

- A JohnDave fic in which John is an alien trying to gather intel on humans but falls in love with Dave

- Gostuck/Mythostuck which will mostly take inspiration from Greek Mythology but may include other cultures as well

- A species-swap fic because I really like that AU as simple as it is

- Single dad DirkJake AU where Dirk moves into the same apartment complex as Jake and misadventures ensue

- Convictstuck because all the fics I found were either really old and on Wattpad or just weren’t readable in my opinion, that said my stuff probably isn’t any better lol

- Fantasystuck Dirkjake/Davejohn where the Striders are royal blood elves, Jake is an Orc and a bodyguard for Dirk, and John is a blue fairy who grants the Striders luck

- Swingstuck that’s super angsty and also RoxyCalliope is the main focus

- Robot Apocolypse AU where Hal becomes a dictator-ish villain

- Douchestuck but I want to give characters motivations other than “I’m an asshole because it’s cool” or “I’m a nerd because jock/nerd cliches are cute”

- Spystuck which I have almost fully planned out and I cannot wait to write

- Copstuck Dirkjake where Dirk is arrested along with Dave and human Hal for robbing a bank but manages to find a way to get off somewhat more easily

- Coffeeshop AU that isn’t starbucks but instead a classic French cafe that has to do with my personal headcanon for Dirk being French/Korean

- Westernstuck which takes place in the 1930′s where Dirk is a famous horse racer and Jake is a wealthy businessman

- My own series, but Idk if anyone wants to see it. It’s basically about a clown mafia
