here’s another idea:
how about an alice in wonderland au? Pandora as Alice, and Lily as the Queen of Hearts. It would sort of be an enemies to lovers. And Lily has to say ‘Off with your head!’ right?
what if she hesitates? what if instead, she calls for Pandora to be locked up instead of beheaded?
and so at nights, Lily goes to meet Pandora. And they get to know each other. Lily inevitably has to get Pandora out without ruining her own reputation.
and we have Barty as the Mad Hatter, Dorcas as the Cheshire Cat, Regulus as the White Rabbit and Evan as her brother (sister in the originals but yeah) or the March Hare

by the way i've been going through rtd's non-doctor-who work and the first thing i watched was queer as folk and i have to say. there's a lot going on in that show but my main takeaway is "it's extremely obvious that the guy writing this really wants to write doctor who." there are ten episodes and of those i believe seven mention doctor who in some capacity. the theme starts playing in the middle of gay sex. k-9 is there. the character responsible for most of these references breaks up with his boyfriend because the boyfriend can't name all the doctors. at the end he has a couple lines where i was like "wow this sounds like something the doctor would say" and then the next lines out of his mouth were about doctor who. all of this is retroactively much funnier now that rtd kickstarted a 20+-year-long reboot for the show

Speaking of Fizz, really hope these scenes are him singing because Alex Brightman deserves to sing a solo song and one that isn’t incredibly short or dialogue filled.
Like yeah I bitch about not caring that much about Fizz but I love Alex Brightman so much, dude is INSANELY talented for obvious reasons and while I still don’t like the concept of this show having songs in it, I’ll take it if it’s Alex singing. Like…you put him in this shit show, so let him at least go all the way with his talent please.

looking for gifs and saw these four all together…
top two show him in love (with will) and bottom two show him kiddie crushing (on eddie). there’s a comfortableness and deep love in the first ones that the other two don’t have, which in place of show a giddy admiration. he looks up to eddie and he feels equal to will. such a subtle yet obvious difference! the quality of finn wolfhard’s acting everybody

i may or may not have lost my silly little mind when i've seen my beloved Graham Chapman showing up like this, military uniform and arrow through the neck, in a sketch of Monty Python's Flying Circus
i won't even say it, i will simply put this in the BBC Ghosts tag

just saw someone recycling ye olde "X character doesn't read as Y identity to me, someone who doesn't & has never held that identity & thus am not as intimately familiar with mannerisms, tropes & characterizations that are typically associated with Y identity. There is no evidence for X being Y and you guys are acting insane."
like. do you understand that you are using the EXACT SAME excuse that other people are using to shit on YOUR headcanon that you're so attatched too because it has so much evidence?
did it ever cross your mind that it would probably be harder for you, person who isn't X, to pick up on subtler tropes & identifiers of X that you've never experienced because you aren't X?
like you get how it sounds like you're shitting on other wueer people?

not to "discourse" but if you think that making a gay character bi is the same thing as making a straight character gay or bi block me. this is a terminally uncool thing to do. not only are straight people absolutely everywhere in fiction, it's not unreasonable to imagine that someone may not have devoted much thought to their sexuality and end up realizing they're bi or gay later in life. it's quite common and happens irl. but making a gay or lesbian character bi is just. SO disrespectful to irl gay people who've questioned their identities and done the work to figure out who they are And Aren't attracted to. as a lesbian who constantly has to hear arguments like "sexuality is fluid" and "everyone's a little bit bi" in attempts to convince me and other lesbians that we Must secretly want to date men, i have zero patience for shit like this. there are so so many fictional characters out there. it can't be that hard to find one who fits your type and isn't canonically gay.
