Her mind’s still in a thoughtless, blood-rushed haze, still, there’s this breathy voice coming from somewhere too near to be talking to someone else.

You’re an awful kisser, did you know that?, echoes around her head, Sunny tries to grasp from where. Her smile becomes stiffer, hooded eyes find dark-red cheeks and puffy lips from someone right in front of her. It’s meant to be a half-assed joke, Sunny understands the moment those too close to be friendly, swollen lips open in a throaty laugh.

Still off-guard, Sunny stares into dark eyes, “Am I?” voice shaking, fingers growing cold as she grips warm hips.

“Yeah,” she laughs again, equally dazed and equally clinging to skin-contact, “you were tense, why did you stop?”

Her muscles relax and she guides both of them to the smoking area. Less crowded, less music, less dry ice smoke. They’re still not alone, there’s still a lot of voices around them, they’re still panting and flushed and glued together. The chilly night air helps, though, they bask in the bustling voices until they calm down enough, sitting side by side on a wooden bench.

It’s quiet between them. Eyes closed, Sunny pays attention to the gossip of the group to her right, about some girl’s girlfriend’s friend whose boyfriend almost went to jail by mistake. A soft pinch on her thigh brings her back.

She places herself on Sunny’s lap. “I’m Tiffany,” hot breath puffs on her ear.

Sunny feels floating again, her hands wondering unconsciously to steady foreigner hips. “I’m Sunny.”

Tiffany’s smile is intoxicating, she traces lithe fingertips into Sunny’s bare collarbone. Tiffany stares. Sunny doesn’t wait for questions to linger on her mind, she has a point to prove and thus initiates another kiss; longer, less angry, less rushed, less teeth and more tongue, more passion but less desperation. A kiss as heated as the burning of her skin under Tiffany’s touch on her neck, fisting lightly on her scalp, scratching her back with not-so-blunt nails—Sunny wants to touch more skin, as much as Tiffany’s touching hers, she needs to keep the girl in place, though, so she digs her nails into milky skin, massages exposed hipbones; Sunny gets drunk on Tiffany’s addictive and sickeningly sweet smell, on Tiffany’s bitter taste of expensive dry martinis and gins on her tongue and lips, on the way she reposition herself to straddle Sunny’s thigh, on the effortlessly way they seem to match. Sunny bites Tiffany’s under lip to disengage the kiss and Tiffany holds Sunny by the jaw as to not allow her to part.
