(this is def inspired by htgawm s4e7 but) simon is totally the type to propose to you in a way that is quite mundane, if not a little unexpected.
thinking about simon taking you out for lunch by the cafe close to your work; you ordered a light lunch, paired it with iced coffee, and simon scrunches his nose in mortification but backs off with a chuckle when you tell him he can’t say shit after ordering steak and paired it with a cup of tea.
and you’re within the moment of recounting your morning, waving your hands around in excitement as you tell him about completing a project given to you by your supervisor, when simon just gets hit with this realization. this feeling that pulses within his heart—“you. i want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
so, while you’re lost in your story, simon plucks out the discarded straw wrap you tore off for your drink, and hides his hands underneath the table. he twists the paper, makes soft tears to cut it shorter, and pinches the ends so they stick together as best as they can. it’s sloppy but it’s a circle, small enough to fit around your finger.
“so,” you begin, sipping on your coffee. “what’cha hiding under there?”
simon shoots you a cheeky smile. “oh but you’ve seen it, haven’t you, lovie?”
you groan, chucking a balled-up tissue paper his way. “y’r gross.”
“that’s not what you were crying last night,” he playfully snarks back with a quirked up brow. your cheeks burn and you duck down to hide from his knowing gaze, trying desperately to tamp down the laugh that is making your lips twitch.
simon chuckles, shaking his head softly, trying to pretend that his heart isn’t quite literally lodged in his throat right now, before coughing lightly to capture your attention again. you give it to him readily with a small and confused smile dancing on your lips, and your eyes crinkled in the way that makes him swoon.
“si?” you ask, a little worried now that he just sits on in his silence. “are you okay?”
“yeah,” simon replies, a little breathless. “more than ‘okay’, actually. i’m-” he pauses, clearing his throat, his fingers still playing with the straw wrapping.
you watch as he breathes in deeply before his posture straightens and then he is pulling his hand out from under the table. you blink your eyes down to his hand where, pinched between his fingers, is the straw wrapping twisted and pinched to look like a small ring.
“this is a placeholder for the real one, s’just that i’ve always wanted to ask you when the timing is right but every time i’m with you always seemed to be the right time so…”
simon’s eyes are unwavering—they are pools of gentle storms—but you notice the way his hand trembles, taken by tremors that would have made you worry if his words had not seized your beating heart and cradled it with such tenderness that you feel like weeping.
“will you marry me?”

"That fucker needs to go."
"He's not going anywhere, Simon."
The Lieutenant spun on his heel, reeling on Price with startling speed. He didn’t budge, though. Not when Ghost stopped only inches away and not when a finger rested on his chest- a warning. A threat.
“Birdy’s my responsibility,” his voice was dangerously low and the Captain’s eyes narrowed.
“And you’re all my responsibility,” Price’s words were slow and enunciated, spoken through gritted teeth. The heat rolling off his body was tangible, he was fucking furious. He was torn. “You think this was my fucking idea? I get orders from up top just like you do, Riley. They got their own plans in mind.”
Ghost inhaled sharply, dropping his hand to his side. Up top. If the rank has been anything, it’s been consistently shit.
“When someone tears their own fuckin’ face-off, the plan needs to change,” Simon murmured, the images of the incident drifting across his vision. The man was no stranger to intrusive thoughts but these were particularly vivid, they splattered across the carefully cleaned plains of his mind- taunting him.
“I know.” Price lit a cigar, his gaze trailing across the rooftops. “Been working on it.”
“And?”
“Baby steps, Simon. Baby steps.”
_________
Inhale, exhale. Again.
Bang
Then again.
Bang
And again.
Bang
One, two, three, the hole never widened; not even by a millimetre. The target stood strong and unwavering, and you were doused in hot anger. You’d selected the biggest one you could find, it wasn’t as tall as you wanted, but you supposed the chances of finding a nearly seven foot soldier on the battlefield were slim.
You were grateful that the one thing that hadn’t changed over the recent horrors of your life, was your aim. You were still a sniper.
Bang
You were still the best.
“We got another unit comin’ in for their assessments, Birdy.” The range supervisor’s voice was loud over the speaker and you forced yourself not to jump. “You gotta clear out or pick another lane, mate.”
Your eyes trailed over the aisles beside you. The rear of their booths were all open, designed for trainees to have an instructor standing over them. Those days of needing direction were over, as were the days of leaving your back vulnerable.
The lane you had chosen was at the very end of the range, a locked booth designed for soldier’s shooting assessments. It was a bi-annual event, where your marksmanship was tested in order to deem you competent and qualified. No instructor, no target indications, just you in a locked booth with a rifle and a target.
Now, it was the only place you felt safe enough to shoot.
You heaved your body up, clearing your weapon before slinging it over your shoulder. It seemed that your time was up.
As you stepped out of your haven and into the aisle, you tried to settle the anxiety in your chest. It was a burdensome feeling that only faded when you were looking down the sight of your rifle, plaguing your every move and every thought. It was all-consuming.
A shot rang a few lanes ahead and you flicked your gaze up to the screen as you walked. They were half a centimetre or so off from the central aiming mark but the next shot was dead on. You snorted.
As you moved to pass, you spared a curious glance at the shooter.
Your body locked up.
Right in front of you, lying on his stomach with those long legs sprawled out, was König.
You seethed. You were suddenly overcome by a rage that, for once, did not wash over you with a flush of heat. Instead, you were cold. Ice trickled the length of your spine and your fingers went numb, pins and needles pricking at your nails.
Your face stung at the sight of him.
He was the reason you couldn’t look at yourself in the mirror anymore, he was the reason you looked like a fucking abomination. Your face was deformed and mutilated and here this fucker lay, his back turned to the world because he was not the one that got destroyed.
König ruined you and got away unscathed.
You waited for him to take another shot, using the cover of the resounding gunfire to put down your rifle. He had no idea that you were there, he was entirely unsuspecting. He was vulnerable.
Before you could comprehend what you were doing, your body had moved to stand over his prone figure. You could hear his breathing, see the rise and fall of his chest.
 In, bang, out.
They had chosen this fucking imbecile to replace you? He couldn’t even breathe right, everything was wrong. His form was wrong, his breathing pattern was wrong, his shooting was wrong, and he was not built to be a sniper. He was built to destroy with his hands, with no finesse, no pinpoint accuracy- just a bludgeon.
There was no honour in what König was.
Again, your face stung beneath the gauze. A reminder. Encouragement.
You reached for the Glock strapped to your belt, cold sweat trickling down your neck.  König took a breath in and you flicked open the buckle. But he didn’t take a shot as you had predicted, and he’d heard the noise from above him.
When König turned, you let him see you, just as he’d given you that mercy.
Then you struck.
Unlike before, König hadn’t been given the chance to kick the weapon from your hands before you descended upon him. A startled rasp ripped from his mouth as you dropped onto his body, bringing the butt of your firearm to strike his temple.
His head knocked back, bouncing off the mat beneath him.
How merciful, that it was not concrete? How gracious, that you didn’t grab his head and crush it?
König groaned, his hands flying up to defend himself, stunned by the sudden impact. You knew that his vision would be spinning, a loud buzz ringing in his ears. You knew too well.
But it wasn’t enough.
You pushed his hands away, bringing the gun down again. You felt his skin render from beneath the metal, a wet thud echoing through the booth as you split the skin of his cheek. The blood made your eyes widen. It wasn’t enough.
You would give him your scars. You would peel his skin from his bone. You would shatter him until he was unrecognisable.
This wasn’t enough.
König’s eyes flickered open, hard and betrayed.
You knew that the element of surprise had run out, but you were not finished. You’d just gotten started, the purple of his cheek and the red dripping down his temple only marked the beginning. But you couldn’t overpower the man below you.
When his hands gripped your biceps and he opened his mouth to yell, you pushed the barrel of your handgun past his lips until his teeth scraped the steel.
Everything fell still, his hands frozen on your body and his eyes wide. You hoped that he could taste the gunpowder, you hoped that he could taste his death. The sound of the safety flicking off resounded in the booth and the man beneath you flinched.
His fingers shook against your skin, his breath rattling in his chest.
König was afraid.
And at that realization, for the first time in over a year, a genuine smile twisted your lips. The soldier’s eyes widened, his body twitching beneath yours, groaning around the barrel in his mouth.
“How do you like it?” You whispered, the words a snarl as you leaned down close.
König’s emerald gaze was steady on yours and you could visibly see him attempt to calm his breathing. In, out, in, out. He was breathing wrong, everything was still just wrong, wrong, wrong. You pressed harder on the gun.
This wasn’t enough.
He wasn’t bruised enough, he wasn’t bleeding enough. You moved your left hand to cup his cheek and his eyes flickered. König wanted to buck you off, he wanted to disable you, maybe he even wanted to murder you. You hoped he did, you wanted to see the same hatred in his eyes that you saw that damned fucking night.
You wanted him to look into your soul and know that you were going to ruin him.
That you were going to kill him.
“You feel guilty?” You hissed, your fingers slowly digging into the skin of his cheek. “You feel bad for what you did?”
König’s eyes softened.
Don’t want your pity.
Kill him. Kill him. Kill him.
Finally, he hummed his affirmation around the barrel in his mouth. Your nails dug into the flesh of his face, dragging a jagged scratch inch by inch across his features. The man didn’t flinch, he didn’t move, and he didn’t make a sound- he only watched you.
When you leaned in to brush your lips against his ear, he knew what was coming.
Satisfaction flooded your senses, righteous anger gripping you by the throat and forcing the words that you’ve wanted to say for so long from your lips.
“Your fight is finished.”
König took in a sharp breath.
You pulled the trigger.
The sound was deafening and for a sweet, beautiful moment, you felt vindication. You’d  won. You’d bested him. The man that had ruined your life had gotten what he deserved and he needed to die, die, die. That was the only thing that would settle his debt, the only thing that would serve the justice you felt owed.
With the simplest pull of the trigger, you had been avenged.
Then, you realised that the blood that had sprayed aross the space between your bodies wasn’t his. It was yours.
König was on top of you. The gun was gone, his mask was on, and your face was crushed. You couldn’t breathe you couldn’t think and the only thing you could feel was the searing pain of the knife twisting in your chest.
No, no, no, no.
This was wrong, this wasn’t what was meant to happen. Why were you back here? His hand was on your face before you could protest and you felt your head lift from the ground.
“Even in victory, you are nothing.”
Crack
“You will always be nothing.”
Crack
You were screaming, you could hear yourself doing it but your mouth wasn’t moving. Your teeth were caved in, your jaw had collapsed, you felt as though your face had melted from the bone. Yet you could hear the shrieks, hear the wailing.
The back of your head was wet, your skull felt like it was falling apart at the seams. The breeze tickled against your brain and your nerves were on fire.
You were broken, broken, broken.
“Birdy!”
This time you could feel every crack of your head into the concrete. This time you felt your brain matter smear across the floor.
“Wake up!”
Wake up.
Wake up.
You sat up with the gasp of someone who’d been drowning, clawing at your throat for air. Sweat trickled down your spine, the room was hot and the blankets were tangled between your legs but you were in your bedroom- you recognised it instantly.
“That’s it, sweetheart,” a rough voice murmured from beside you. There was a hand pressed flat against your chest, firm and grounding. “Breathe.”
“Simon,” you sobbed. The man hummed in response, his other hand rubbing your back with enough force to rock your body. He was trying to keep you rooted in reality, give you something physical, something tangible to hold on to.
“I’m losing my mind,” you gasped, your chest caving at the realisation. You didn’t know what was real or not, fact or fiction, tangible or imaginary- you lived on a plain of uncertainty. You were lost, you were broken and you were unreliable.
Price was right. You had become a liability.
“You’re late to the party,” Simon loosed a soft chuckle, pulling you close against his body. “I lost mine years ago, kid.”
You relished in his touch as you tried to regroup. You were in your room, you were in your bed, it was the middle of the night and you’d had a nightmare. Your clothes were soaked, sticking to your skin uncomfortably; and you had the horrid realization that maybe it wasn’t all sweat. You sucked in a breath, scrambling to push the blankets from your body.
“What-”
You ignored anything that the Lieutenant might of said, scrubbing your hands over your limbs, neck and face. The sweat threw you off and you checked your fingers in the dim light for crimson stains. You couldn’t deal with it again, you couldn’t cope with more damage. You were already disgusting, you were already mutilated and scarred. Unloveable, untouchable, irreparable, irevevocable, irremediable-
No more, no more, no more no more no more-
Simon gripped your hands, tugging them towards his chest and jerking your body forward. You dragged in a sharp breath, eyes wide and frantic.
“You didn’t hurt yourself,” the words were urgent and low, his gaze holding you still just as well as his grip. “You’re alright, Birdy.”
You took in a rattling breath and his grip tightened.
“You’re alright, kid,” Simon reinforced, that ocean gaze compelling you to calm your heart rate. He left no room for discussion with the way that he looked at you, there was no option to disobey. You pushed air into your lungs, following the pattern he’d set for you. “It was just a nightmare.”
You frowned. “Only at the very end.”
Not when you had been shooting, not when you’d been atop of your enemy with a gun in his mouth; that was not the nightmare. You’d felt vindicated, you’d felt insane but satisfied. During those moments in the dream, you were not afraid of König. You were not shaking, you were not whimpering or begging for your life.
You were strong.
Stronger than him.
“How’d you know I was–” You cleared your throat. “How’d you get in here?”
The silence that followed had you on edge, as Simon’s hand worked methodically across your back.  He didn’t answer for a long while and your thoughts began to sober. Why was he in your room? How had he gotten there? How did he know you were having a night terror? His quarters were nowhere near yours, he was in the hallway over, divided by thick concrete walls; he most definitely couldn’t have heard your screams.
“Someone tipped me off,” the words were spoken through clenched teeth and his minsitrations against your back faltered. Your chest tightened at the implication. “They thought I’d be better suited to come help you.”
“How-”
“He’s down the hall, Birdy.” Simon interrupted and you could feel his fingers curl into a fist against your spine. “Everyone in this fuckin’ corridor could hear you.”
Your breathing began to pick up and heat flushed against your skin, the blood boiling from beneath the surface.
“That doesn’t explain how you got in,” you rasped, gripping the blankets at your side. You needed to ground yourself, you needed to be calm.
“He thought you were being attacked or somethin’ with the way you were yellin’,” Simon sighed. It wasn’t a direct answer but it was a good enough indication as to what had happened.
You let your gaze drift to the door, sucking in a sharp breath at the sight before you. The hinges had been ripped from the wall, the frame torn straight from the brick. The door itself was missing completely, and as you slowly leaned over to get a look at the floor, your heart dropped to your stomach.
Your bedroom door lay in pieces, the splintered remnants splayed across the floor like shattered glass.

Tumblr media
You planned the whole night out for you and your boyfriend—a Halloween tradition that you two always did every year. Binge-watch some Halloween movies, give out candy to children who knocked on your shared apartment door, and have wonderful sex as Jason Vorhees kills his next victim playing in the background. But tonight, you sat alone on the cream-colored sofa with a half bowl of candy (because trick-and-treaters didn’t stop coming despite your boyfriend did). You felt embarrassed, the running thought that you should have let this relationship go sooner flashing through your mind similar to a light bulb flickering on when someone has a wonderful idea.
You were grasping onto a dead relationship and yearning for a happy ever after that wasn’t even there. You turned the television off and decided to clean up for the evening. Putting away the snacks you laid out and the pizza that grew cold as minutes went by. Pure disappointment sat at the pit of your stomach while cleaning up and eventually finding yourself in bed a little earlier than usual. You quickly did your evening routine of skincare and brushing your teeth before letting your feet guide you to your bed. The sound of late-night partygoers was heard outside and you can only tune out the squeals of excitement as you drift off into a deep slumber.
But as your body finally fell into the comfort of getting some rest, you soon felt your body jerk up suddenly at the sound of your wooden floors creaking. You wanted to be excited that your boyfriend actually came home and maybe you could do the activities you had planned. Expecting to see him tugging off his button-down shirt and complaining about his supervisor being up his ass during the eight-hour work shift—but instead, you were met with a large figure staring at you. His burly arms crossed over his chest causing the tight black t-shirt to clench upon his upper body. You blinked a couple of times assuming you were dreaming. You even reached to your wrist to pop at the beaded bracelet your boyfriend got you at this carnival you guys went to. The beads sting your wrist after you do that action and you still don’t jolt up in a completely cold sweat.
“You’re not dreaming, love.” His deep voice erupted your thoughts that were racing with questions. “Actually, kinda in the middle. Not dreaming, but actually dreaming. Hard to explain,” He points out before tilting his head at you.
Now you wanted to scream. A large man with a black mask that had a skull imprinted on it was standing just inches away from your bed and your body shook with fear as you inched away from him but was met with your cream-colored headboard.
“It’s no need to panic, you summoned me here. Well, kinda.”  He explains. “Fuck.” He utters before clearing his throat and trying again.
“Every Halloween, some lonely single person's guilt and hurt is so strong that it summons me or one of my peers. A mere incubus that they can have for just one night,” The masked man explained, and when he saw you look at him as if he’s grown an extra pair of arms (which he could do if he put his mind to it, he was fuckin’ demon after all). “You’re actually the first person I’ve been assigned to in a while.”
“I’m so fucking confused right now.” You swing your feet over the ledge of your bed, sliding into your slippers, and walking over to the mysterious man. When you got closer, you immediately poked at his arm and were met with hardness.
He was real. He wasn’t like some ghost and maybe you had gone crazy.
“But I’m not single…” you pointed out as you circled around his large frame to get a good look at him. If he wasn’t a ghost, he still was here, and if anything went to shit to the point that you had to call the cops—at least you had a visual of his stature.
You couldn’t tell if his face scrunched up in a confused manner, but his eyes told the rather confused feeling he possessed. You stood in front of him crossing your arms over your chest. “I’m actually taken…” Your voice trails off and for some reason saying that left a bad taste in your mouth.
It didn’t feel like you were taken. Especially when you went to sleep alone tonight.
“Hm, that’s interesting. It doesn’t seem like that. So if you’re not taken…you’re hurt. Did the little boyfriend and yourself have an argument?” The stranger waltzed over to the small loveseat in your room and sat down. It was as if he was a therapist questioning you about life.
“No.” You quickly admit. “We didn’t…he just didn’t show up tonight when I planned something for us. He hasn’t answered his phone, nothing. So, I’m just confused about what I should do because this has happened before.”
“I see.” His voice trails off and he rubs at his clothed chin before standing up. “Let’s go have some fun, love.” The mysterious man whose eyes you were hypnotized with extended his large hand for you to take.
“What? I’m still in my pajamas.” You pointed it out. “I need to go change, maybe fix my hair.” You motion to the silk scarf that was tied upon your head.
“Eh, don’t worry about that. I’m a fuckin’ demon. I have it all figured out.” He says.
You met his gaze and you saw this twinkle in his light-colored eyes. It was a similar twinkle and glint that your boyfriend had when you two were in your cupcake phase during the relationship. “What’s your name? I can’t just go out with a stranger that claims he’s a demon.”
You heard him kiss his teeth, “You’ll figure it out soon.” And with that, he grabs your hand and in a blink of a moment, you’re both in a crowded bar.
You knew exactly what bar you were at because it was one that your boyfriend frequented a lot with his friends and co-workers. You had to pick him up countless times when his alcohol intake had hit its limit. But as you stood in the middle of the bar, you noticed that no one didn’t notice you. A person walked by you and you were expecting to feel their shoulder roughly bump into you—but instead, their body went through yours as if you merely were a ghost. No one in this bar knew you two were here, which sucked considering your attire.
Your hands roamed your body as you wore a blood-red leather corset and a black leather mini-skirt that hugged your lower half perfectly. On your head was a headband that was decorated with two sparkly red devil horns. Of course, he would ensure you were dressed up as a demon. Your eyes searched in the crowd for him and you saw him behind the bar looking at the massive choice of alcohol. You walked towards the bar and watched him closely, “Why are we here?” You asked.
“To have a good time.” The man’s fingers tapped at his masked face before grabbing a random bottle and some shot glasses. “So, drink this and let loose.”
You took the shot off the bar and drank it quickly just in time to hear a loud cheer from the back of the bar. Your head turns to follow the commotion of people dressed up for Halloween while playing what seems to be an intense game of pool. When you saw the familiar figure with a football jersey on, your heart sank immediately. There your boyfriend was playing pool with a huge grin on his face while his friends cheered him on. The shot you took, immediately helped your stomach form the most horrendous knots and you wanted to go home.
“No.” The demon behind the bar said before filling your shot glass up again.
“You don’t even know what I’m going to say.” Your eyes stared at the liquor in your glass and you then watched him lift the mask just a bit so he could down his own shot. “You brought me here on purpose.” Your eyes narrow at him.
“I did. To see that you’re all sad for that.” His fingers motion to your boyfriend. “He has seen your text messages by the way and five missed calls.” He adds and you didn’t even want to question him he knew that you had blown up your boyfriend’s phone.
“It’s really no point to be here. I’ll just talk to him when I get home.” You adjusted the headband on your head. “So, can you please teleport me back home Mr. Demon?”
“No.” He adds before walking around the bar so that he is sitting on the barstool next to you. His large callous hands grab the end of the stool you were comfortably sitting in and bring it closer to him. “We’re going to make your lovely boyfriend so paranoid that he’ll be groveling at your feet.”
“And how the hell are we going to do that if he can’t see us?” Your eyes met with the mysterious demon and you felt hot under his gaze. Maybe it was because you couldn’t see his face and since it was Halloween, no one was going to question why he wore a mask.
“Who said he can’t see us?” His head tilts just a bit before he snaps his finger and suddenly when he snaps his finger and moves your stool just a bit—your boyfriend glances in your direction quickly. So quickly he did a double take at how close you were with the demon who popped up in your life this evening.
Your boyfriend’s eyes enlarged at the sight of you and what you were wearing and soon the demon snaps his fingers again. You watched as your boyfriend still glanced in your direction, but it was as if he simply was imagining things. He shook his head and went back to sipping his alcohol.
“He’s going to lose his mind by the end of the night.” The demon adds with confidence oozing from his tone.
“I guess, this will work. But, I must ask. Why’d the mask? Also, where are your horns? Don’t demons have horns?” You took it upon yourself to take the cocktail that the bartender just put on the bar since no one could see you two.
“I do have horns, just think the horns give everyone a good spook.” He points out. “Last time, a lady threw a glass at me. So, I settled with the mask and no horns.” He takes a sip from the beer bottle that the bartender sat in front of a talking customer next to him.
“Hm,” was the only thing you said. “Are you ugly? A lot of horror stories perceive demons as ugly.”
“Quite the opposite.” He backfires. “Can’t really haunt people's dreams to have sex with them and solve their problems if we’re ugly.” He jokes.
“Then can I see your face?” You asked, your fingers twirling the straw in your cocktail and you gave him a grin.
“After you stop being so uptight and help me…help you.” He finishes his beer and he stands up motioning for you to follow.
With a quickness, you’re downing your cocktail and following the man in the crowd. The music was so loud that you had to practically yell out anything you wanted him to hear. “What about your name? Do you have a name?”
“Simon, or Ghost. Whichever you prefer.” He walks over to the pool table, and leans against the pool table adjacent to the one your boyfriend and his friends were at.
You watched as some random woman dressed as a cheerleader placed her arms around your boyfriend's waist as he was trying to hit the pool ball. You felt jealousy, anger, and betrayal seeing this. He ditched your plans to be out with her. That douche.
“Don’t have such a down face.” Simon nudges your side before grabbing the pool table. “Like I said, we are going to make him lose his mind by the end of the night.” He grabs a hold of your waist after grabbing a pool stick. “Just go with the flow, love.” He whispered in your ear and you felt your skin decorated with goosebumps.
Simon helped guide your hand towards breaking the balls in the middle of the table. Despite the bar being fairly cool, you felt hot with how close he was to you. His crotch pressing against the fatness of your butt in the skin-tight mini skirt. His breath itching at the shell of your ear. Just as you are about to hit the ball, he snaps his fingers again making you two noticeable in the crowd of people. The sound of wolf whistles could be heard seeing your figure bent over—if Simon wasn’t here, strangers would have been to see what your momma gave you. There as Simon helps you break the group of balls perfectly, you squeal in excitement gaining the attention of your boyfriend’s friend and soon your boyfriend again. His face goes red at the sight of Simon’s hands all on you and you watch as he scrambles to remove the pretty woman off him. He made his way to the pool table, but Simon snapped his fingers again causing your boyfriend to be confused once again. Your eyes scan over his face while he shakes his head and mumbles something under his breath.
“And now he’s going to call you. But you’re going to ignore his call because that’s exactly what he’s been doing to you.” Simon leans against the pool table and the two of you watch as your boyfriend pulls out his phone to call you.
You were astonished at what you were viewing, he was panicking. The mere thought of you being with another man had him about to explode. You watch as your boyfriend runs his fingers through his hair, a thing he does when he’s overthinking his ass off. You knew for a fact that he was overthinking the fact that you were probably out having just as much fun as him.
“So, Simon. Do you have sex with all the women whose lives and dreams you hop into?”
“Not all of them. Some just want someone to talk to.” He shrugs. “You on the other hand just need someone to teach your nitwit of a boyfriend to appreciate what he has.” He adds.
“So, you wouldn’t have sex with me? Just put my boyfriend in check.” You playfully nudged his side and you were met with hardness.
“Do you want to have sex with me?” His eyes met yours and you were forced to swallow the large lump in your throat. “Because I may have known your boyfriend is an idiot, but I also know he hasn’t touched you in weeks…a month and a half to be exact.” He adds as he turns to face you. This time, he’s caging you from leaving since you were still resting on the pool table.
“I could have gone the sex route, but that wouldn’t solve your shitty boyfriend situation which would mean I would be stuck with you until you’re no longer miserable.” He says. “But, you and I know that you’re a good girl.” His hand adjusts the red devil horn headband on your head. “You wouldn’t cheat on him, even though..he’s probably going to cheat on you with her.” He motions to the brunette cheerleader who is still by your boyfriend's side even as he is attempting to call your phone.
“You don’t know me, Simon.” You pointed it out. “Only what you observe about my life.”
“Then do you want to prove me wrong, love?” His hand rests on your waist tugging you closer to him.
“I’m sure that’s what you’ll want.”
“It is, I’m not going to deny it. But, I’m not going to force it out of you. You’re a grown woman, use your words and make your own decision.” He drops his hands from your waist and walks away from you, disappearing in the crowd and towards the bathroom.
Like the touch-deprived woman you were, you followed before him. But just as you were walking to follow him in the bathroom, you bumped into your boyfriend. You expected your body to go right through his since Simon did snap his fingers, but you collided with your boyfriend’s shoulder gaining his attention. When he saw you, that look of shock appeared again and his lips parted to speak, but just as his hands reached out for you—your boyfriend's confused expression returned and his hand that went to grab at you, went right through you. You started to feel bad, but as you walked further away—seeing the woman clutch on your boyfriend made all the guilt that was bubbling inside of you burst.
You walked into the bathroom and it was filled with many girls fixing their makeup and drunkenly complimenting each other. Bit by bit they scattered out the bathroom when they heard some generic pop song come on. Simon was leaning against the pink-colored tile walls waiting.
“So, you’ve made your decision?” He asked with his arms crossed over his shoulders.
“I wouldn’t be in here if I didn’t.”
Simon chuckles at your words before he brings his hands to the fabric of the black mask. You were preparing yourself for what you were about to see. You knew he was attractive behind the mask, his whole demeanor screamed it. The way he carried himself. His confidence. You can go on and still be naming many other attributes.
He pulls the mask out and you have to catch yourself from letting your jaw drop. Despite his face being decorated with scars, you had questions about—he still looked like he could have the face of an angel. His dirty blonde colored strands were ruffled due to the mask and his eyes—you’d stared upon them all night but finally putting a face to them made your knees go weak.
You walked closer towards him, “Will they see us?” You asked as you glanced back at the door.
“Only if you want.” He closes the gap between you two.
You mentally were weighing out the pros and cons of this. Frankly, the pros benefit you much more than the cons. So you took that leap and kissed Simon immediately. The sound of the bathroom door swung open, and someone walked in to grab a paper towel. Because of Simon and his silly demon powers, they didn’t even know you two were there. The drunken stranger walked right through you and Simon as you were making out. His hands roamed your body as if you were a precious gem he had just found. Your body attempted to guide him into one of the stalls, but he didn’t budge. You weren’t sure if it was because he had other plans in mind or if it was because of his huge stature.
“It’s not like anyone could see us.” Simon's words mumble against your skin as he places kisses on your neck. His body guides you towards the bathroom sink before he twirls you around.
You were forced to stare at yourself in the mirror at your reflection. The clear lip gloss that formerly stained your lips was smudged across your face. Your eyes were glossy of anticipation and need for a demon you had just met. The feeling of his bulge pressing against your butt causes you to close your eyes and inhale sharply.
“That’s true, but—one mere snap could make them see us.” You spoke out.
“They’ll be too intoxicated to notice.” His eyes met yours in the mirror before he rolled the skirt that left practically nothing for imagination up around your waist. The coolness of the bathroom causes your skin to be garnished with little goosebumps and your hair to stand up on your limbs, you clutch upon the porcelain sink.
You only hum at Simon’s words while he pulls your panties to the side and begins to line himself to insert you after removing his cock from his bottoms. The tip of his cock rubs against your wet folds collecting the essence that stains the inside of your thighs. Each push forward into your pussy, the grip on your waist grew tighter. The sound of his cries of pleasure was like music to your ears. Completely distracting you from the fact that his cock was stretching you out bit by bit.
“Just give me the go and I’ll keep going, love.” He professes. His eyes once more meeting yours and seeing the way your lips part apart to let out a broken moan, gave him the answer he ached to hear. His hips push forward being met with the cushion of your ass and he just wondered with not being touched in so long, how do you like to be fucked.
“How’d you want, Y/N?” Simon questions, his hips rolling in a slow and sensational way causing you to moan some more. “Slow.” He adds before pulling himself fully out of your cunt. “Or.” His voice trails off as he’s lining himself back up to slam inside your addicting pussy again. “Hard.”
Your brain couldn’t comprehend his question quickly enough because he soon gave you a mixture of both. Slow strokes to have you crying out his name as if the people entering and exiting the bathroom could hear you. Fast and hard strokes to have your breath hitch in your throat and for you to hold onto the surface tighter.
The vulgar sound of skin slapping against each other begins to ring in your ears like a sweet jazz tune. Your hand reaches back behind you to slow down Simon’s movement, but he swats your hand away as if it were a mere inconvenience to him. Simon lifts the shirt he wore to bring it up to his mouth. Despite the two of your bodies already crossing a boundary, he needed you to be closer. His teeth held up the ends of his shirt as he thrust forward inside you. Simon has pleasured many people in the world, but nothing was like this. No one has ever clutched around his hardened cock like this. Sweat beads form on his forehead and he felt completely pussy drunk for you.
Your knees were growing weak but, Simon assured you that you don’t fall. With each stroke and thrust, he held you closer to make sure his motion didn’t get interrupted. Tears decorate your lashline causing your mascara to smudge.
“Fuck.” You moaned out. “I’m so clos-” Your words were interrupted by the bathroom door swinging open and your boyfriend walked in making out with the brunette who seemed to be attached by his hip all evening.
“Don’t pay attention to him, only me.” His fingers coil into your hair tugging you up so that your back is pressed against his chest. His eyes never broke eye contact with you in the mirror. “It’s just me and you in here, right?” He questions as he thrusts inside of you.
Your eyes averted to your boyfriend as he was making out with the girl, but he broke the kiss quickly. “I just need to call her, ensure she’s okay. She hasn’t answered my calls and that’s not like her.”
“Hmm, wonder what she’s doing.” Simon teasingly whispers in your ear. “Is she home watching her silly little Halloween movies or is she getting fucked like a slut in a bathroom?” With each word, he thrusts inside you.
“She’s probably just sleeping.” The brunette pecks your boyfriend’s lips. “Or getting fucked.” She jokes and your boyfriend pushes her away.
“That’s not funny.” He says before he tries to leave the bathroom and through the sound of your heated flesh slapping against Simon’s toned thighs, his finger snaps just in time for your boyfriend to see a glimpse of his pretty girlfriend (who he assumed was home) getting fucked a stranger he didn’t know.
Your boyfriend’s eyes enlarged at the sight but before he could fully react, Simon snapped his fingers once more causing the two of you to be merely an illusion once more. Your boyfriend ran his hand over his face finally coming to terms that he had to get out of here. He had to ensure that you were home right where he assumed you were. As Simon continued to fuck you until you were seeing stars, your paranoid boyfriend rushed out of the bathroom calling your phone that was still home. Each second, your phone went to voice mail causing your boyfriend to spiral even more at the thought that a handsome stranger had you bent over in the bar he frequently goes to.
“And my work here is done, love. Sweets dreams.” Simon kisses the side of your temple just in time for you to finally orgasm all over his cock—but eventually, jolt up in your bedroom in a cold sweat and your panties soaked.
Instantly, your hands run over your body where Simon formerly touched. Your fingertips dance upon your lips that he once kissed trying to process everything that just happened. He did say you were dreaming, but it felt so real. The demon costume hugging your body like a latex glove felt real. Simon’s cock being inside you felt real.
But your suspicions were deemed true as your boyfriend burst through the room in a panic. Sweat droplets embellish his forehead as if he ran all the way home to you.
“Y/N, did you go out tonight?” Your boyfriend asked.
With false confusion plastered on your face, you blinked a couple of times.
“No, is everything okay? Maybe you’re being just a bit paranoid, babe.”
And in his own realm which was the home of incubus demons around the world, Simon viewed the conversation unfold with a smirk.
“That’s my girl.”

Poly!Ghoap X Reader Part 3
"Tiny Little Thing"
You were performing well as a Recruit. Too well. Something that Ghost and Soap noticed already on day one, Gaz noticed on day five and by the two weeks you've been active, even Capt Price. And the two men who follows you around was NOT happy about it. At all.
It's a god given fact that you were small and light. It didn't help that you were light on your feet too, nearly jumpscaring any unfortunate superior that you had to deliver a paperwork to. Your quietness and ability to hide your presence was obviously NOT for the faint of heart.
Captain Price noticed how similar you were to Ghost. Just... Smaller, he thought. Which made you perfect as a certain specialist.
He already have a sniper and close combat specialist. A pyrotechnic specialist. Weapons and strategy specialist. But he doesn't have that one specific specialist.
A full on espionage specialist.
You however... You were cute. You were charming. You were deadly. You were quiet and sneaky AF.
The perfect candidate.
Captain Price sat in his office, reading your file again and again when Ghost burst through the door, anger in his step.
"Price! Why did I hear Laswell that you were trying to get a new agent already? And her? Why her when she's barely out of training-"
Price halted him from his rant with a raise of his hand and Ghost immediately shuts up.
"Because we both know she has potential. The grades on the files don't lie, Simon. I'm not gonna pass up the chance to hire her before another supervisor submits an appeal for her rank up." He said and Ghost heard his ears ringing. Rank up? Price's requesting for her status to be changed to a Private immediately?
The urge to protect surged inside Ghost. And Price immediately knew that look.
"No, Simon. Don't. This is the military. We are soldiers. She's not some helpless damsel you need to protect." Price hardens his gaze at the skull masked operator. "She can handle herself. She'll be perfect for the 141."
Ghost stared at Price, in anger and in defeat. Of course, his Captain was right. If anything, you're a deadly poison brewing. A diamond in the rough. With a more advance training, you can be a force to reckon with. Something that not even Ghost can deny.
He tsked and backed away. "Johnny will not be happy about this. You know he will say the same as I did."
"I reckon so. Which is why you're not to tell him anything until her promotion is completed." Price said, looking straight into Ghost's eyes to make a point. He looks right back at him before sighing, understanding that this is now a confidential processing, one that's understandably only for the Captain and First Lieutenant's knowledge.
"Do I have your word on this, Simon?" Price added as he watched Ghost head out the door.
"... Affirmative... Sir." He said before leaving the office, closing the door gently behind him.
Price sat back before pulling out a few papers out of your file folder once Ghost has left. He wonders how the boys would react once they finally see the file records you have with Pentagon.

It's tiring to talk like a broken speaker to reiterate that if you don't want to see dark content, just don't interact and walk away. Not everything has to cater to you, you're in charge of your internet experience. Fiction and reality don't always equal one to one. I'm sorry orla that you had to go through all of this song and dance again and again 😔
As for my request, would it be possible to have some more gooner!simon or gooner!graves? 👉🏻👈🏻 Thank you!!
literally !! i can't explain it any further, just don't read. there's an issue with the lack of responsibility in the cod fandom, truly. they don't want to admit their fault because they read something they shouldn't have! thank you for your wonderful support, anon <33 it doesn't go unappreciated, my sweetness !! 💗
WARNINGS: “GOONING”/PORN ADDICTION, DEPRAVITY, AUTHORITY PLAY. DEAD DOVE: DO NOT EAT.
(YOUR MEDIA CONSUMPTION IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.)
gooner-simon is pathetic and incapable of healing his addiction with pornographers; he's incapable of controlling his throbbing boner, leading him to become constantly sexual, a horny mess looking for something to use as an outlet. he's thankful to be a lieutenant, for the control and how recruits look up at him with inspiration twinkling in their eyes. it means he has superiority over all the vulnerable, stupid recruits, who are so desperate for the littlest of praise that they'll do anything, anything. :(
that's where simon finds himself drooling over you and your obedience, your eagerness to continue being the best you can possibly be; he drools over your neediness to be a good girl. how you'll write his reports while he has time to himself (and by time to himself, i mean time to jerk off), pretending your pussy isn't dripping with slickness at the sight of his hard, lengthy dick. simon can see your eyes flickering — or how you shift in your seat — how he'll use it against you, just to get off.
he'll order you onto your knees, needing something to collect his hot, thick load, something to get him even harder while he worships the pornography he watches. his breathing is heavy, chest rising and falling, bare and muscular with droplets of sweat coating his abdomen. his cheeks flushed with shame as he gazes down at the mess he's made of the new recruit; your mouth full of his load, taking it all while he continues his worshipping, clicking to the next video.
each small praise that flows from his lips has your cunt swelling with arousal in your lace panties, ready to take him, just for some compliments and rewards for being so obedient and hardworking to your supervisors. :(

Things start to get complicated when your supervisor asks to speak to you privately.  Of course, he doesn’t provide any context, but by the late morning, you’re twitching in discomfort and anticipation.  You look up at Simon to see him—what else?—looking at you already.  He has an eyebrow raised in question, and when you shake your head slightly, he goes back to his…whatever he does.  Paperwork.  Whatever.
A million, billion years would not have been enough for you to guess what your boss wants to talk to you about—Simon.
Thank you for making him feel welcome, he says.  Lt Riley’s not really an office kind of guy.
You try your best to keep a straight face when you ask him why Simon’s really being punished and get both a chuckle and a get back to work.
And the surprise conversation makes you think about the other things you've been avoiding thinking about. For one, you’ve always found yourself daydreaming about Ghost during the work day…but things are different now.
He’s always in the back of your mind, you’re always having to jolt yourself out of your daydreams, but you’ve slowly come to realise just how completely out of your league Ghost really is—he has a reputation on base as a loner and a weirdo, and if that wasn’t enough, you’d even heard through the grapevine that he was 141.  You, on the other hand, were a pervy data analyst punching above your weight, with a pipe dream of…well.  Ghost’s pipe.
But recently, Simon’s been on your mind too.  Not quite a summit you could climb yet, but at least one your brain (and other parts of you) could imagine scaling someday.
And most annoyingly, it’s not just his physical appearance you find yourself attracted to—lately, it’s his prickly demeanour that you’ve been finding particularly endearing.  It’s strange but you feel a bit weird about no one even attempting to talk to him at work.
And it’s irrational for you to feel that way, you know that.  He keeps to himself and never voluntarily tries to start a conversation with anyone. Unfortunately, Simon is…horrendously Simon about the whole thing.  Says constantly that he doesn’t care and that he can’t stand conversation and that he doesn’t need more than one pain in his arse.  But he’s never once pushed you away when you tried, so you don’t understand why the others won’t.  It irks you that they don’t include him, while also making you feel warmer inside for having been the chosen one that gets to spend time with him.
What has become worrisome to you is that he’s…scarily in tune with your interest in him.
And you find that you don’t mind.
He looks at you—god, you’re convinced that he looks into you—with those dark, wet, almost black eyes that have you convinced that you wear all your secrets on your face for the world to see.
So you know for a fact that your jaw is going to need reeling back in when, on one of your smoke breaks and during your Ghost-related speculation rants, Simon exasperatedly agrees to introduce you.

💌
supervisor!simon
“Are you quitting because of me?” Simon prodded, “I have to heat up my breakfast.” Soon as you went to walk to the break room, Simon grabbed your wrist softly, his brown eyes looking into yours,
“Answer me, is it my fault?”
Simon’s honey brown eyes, search your face, It’s weird. Why’d he care so much? You snatch your arm back from his hand, “What’s the matter with you?” confusion thick in your voice.
Simon watched as you walked to the break room. A weird feeling sat in his chest, he thought he might’ve overstepped, pushed your boundaries a bit. Shaking it off he walked into his office, he hated this game of push and pull that was going on his mind. Sitting in his desk chair, he stared at the wall. When you started working at the office Simon was just a lead, he appreciated a new face, a pretty one at that. You got quieter over time, you barely spoke to Simon, he always saw you conversing with Linda, laughing, exchanging snacks, borrowing pens, even getting lunch sometimes. He wanted and still wants a piece in that.
You just had attitude problems. Simons alert. He sees when you have a bad day, when you roll your eyes when asks if you could come in earlier. He hears when you smack your lips at one of his emails. Simon knows you're not that fond of him. A part of him likes it? Something about you leaving, just wasn’t right.
-
Later in the day, Simon walked around the office. Good thing no one saw your awkward interaction earlier this morning. Simon stood at the back next to Victor; this old guy who always brags about his son who’s in the air force. You could feel his (Simon) eyes on you, You shifted in your seat, feeling the pressure from Simon's presence.
You stop typing on your keyboard and get up to go to the bathroom, needing a break from this moment in life (y'all know what I’m talking about??? No? ok.) While getting up you both made eye contact, that somehow made your stomach drop to your ass. You crossed your fingers hoping he wouldn’t follow you.
You knew Simon could be a pushover, everyone knows it, and somehow everyone is still okay with it. One time, this old coworker always overfilled his cup and he would leave coffee stains in the shape of his cup on the counter. Simon sat and watched him make his cup of coffee for two weeks, wrote down how many times he spilled coffee and never cleaned it up, marking the notes with a date and timestamp. That man was fired one week later.
 -
In the bathroom you hold the sink gathering yourself, today will be the day. You scored an interview at your bestfriends job. You were grateful, so happy to finally leave the maniac in business casual. You felt bad, Kind of?  You exhale and adjust your outfit in the mirror.
You spent a lot of time here, silently screaming, flicking water at the mirrors as “revenge”, calling your bestfriend and complaining for 15 minutes straight. Were you having a sentimental moment in the bathroom? Maybe.
-
Simon stood with his arms crossed, peeved. Watching Victor click on his computer, seeing how many times he’s messed up and didn’t notice. Simon wanted to catch you leaving the bathroom and try to continue this morning's conversation. But he vetoed that thought.
The other part of Simon wanted to start an argument, hoping you’d give him an ounce of the truth. Simon wasn’t obtuse, not on purpose at least. He wanted to call you into his office and let you have a go at him. You could yell, scream, even throw a shoe at him. Simon didn’t like to be the root of the problem, he wanted to be a problem fixer. Simon was getting annoyed. He rolled his eyes so many times in one minute, they were going so fast all you could see was the white of them.
You walked back to your desk, it was still early in your shift, you finished your tasks for this morning so you sat in your chair waiting for a new load of work. You rocked yourself side to side, soothing the random anxiety in your body.  Simon walked past your desk and stopped, bending down to your level “I have a new hire coming in and he needs to be trained.” he spoke quietly, “You could do me this favor?” he looked at your screen, noticing the blank monitor, “I mean since you’re not gonna be here for too long.” Simon's passive tone almost makes your eye twitch, you nod saying nothing, giving him no reaction.
45 minutes later a man in a black sweater with slacks walks in with a folder in hand. His icy blue eyes land on yours, a big smile stretches across his face. You almost choke on the sip of water in your mouth, he’s cute, and he’s your replacement. You almost throw up. Simon's office door swings open, he walks over to the new hire and gives him a big hug.
They stood in the same spot for 10 minutes, chatting and laughing, patting each other's shoulders, giving bro hugs. You were staring and you knew you were staring, practically gawking at the new hire, his thick thighs, pretty teeth and even prettier eyes. Maybe leaving didn't sound as good as this job was looking. Simon’s very easy on the eyes, you’re very aware. He’s tall and thick, but he can be a real ass. He’s hot though, that. you’ll never forget! Exactly like when he was promoted to Supervisor, you couldn’t stop staring at him at the company party. His shirt was a little loose and Jesus Christ; his large legs and hands, and those big brown droopy eyes. God he is pretty.
 Simon stood before your desk clearing his throat to get your attention, you look up through your brows, “Replacements here!” he says, you could punch him from down here, right in the chin.
“This is who’ll be training you Johnny,” Simon taps your desk, You smile at him politely earning a nod that almost makes you squeal. Simon eyes you and Johnny, “She won’t be here long.” he fakes a frown, and looks directly at you. “Ahh ‘s a shame.” your ears perk up at his voice, you smile again at him. “I’ll leave you two to it.” Simon smacks your desk, and of course it’s way too loud.

You and Johnny get acquainted, you learn he and Simon worked together years ago. He was the last to retire out of their “little work group” you call it. “Did Simon give you the hand book?”
“Yeah, but I don’ think I’ll need it though.” he says while bending a paperclip. “Oh trust me you will.” you snort. “You get in trouble alot?” he smirks at you. “Maybe.”
“That why you’re quitting?” you shake your head, “Me and Simon don’t really get along.” You avow while writing down some serial number for him. “Can I ask why?” his blue eyes watch you put the sticky note on his folder, “Dunno.” you say.
“Where you working after this?” His thick accent makes you smile, “My friend's job has an opening.”  you respond, “considering quitting here too?” you joke.
“I don’ think HR would be okay with me hitting on ya.”

tw// mentions of injuries and cuts, nothing else that i can think of (lmk)
Tumblr media
Being in a relationship with simon can be hard sometimes. He's gone for month's at a time leaving you with no knowledge of where he is or if he's even safe. You trust him, you do really, but this time around you've been noticing your anxiety spiking at random times.
Subconsciously praying no more horrible things happen to him. He won't tell you much, but if his insomnia and nightmares tell you anything it's that he's experienced a lot. More than just his family issues. You've caught your mind wondering off from work wondering if he's gotten enough rest, if he's eaten enough, or even if he misses you.
When you and Simon began dating you knew it would take a lot of emotional maturity to be with him. Things often worked out in your favor and the two of you never pushed each other for more, but watching your friend's cuddle up with their partners or holding hands cracks something in you. You don't even know when or if your boyfriend will be home.
Sleepless nights and your own supervisor noticing your lack of productivity. Your friend's take notice of your distress and beg you for a night out. You tell them you're tired and end the night tossing and turning in your bed. Weeks go by of the same routine, and Simon's pillow begans to lose his scent.
Eventually, one night in the middle of spring, the click of the lock being opened grabs your attention. Your body standing up wanting to run into his arms, but that's not the kind of relationship you and Simon have. You resort to standing in the entry way waiting for your big, burly man to walk through.
His short, dirty blond hair is messy on his head as a black mask covers his mouth and nose. You're surpised he's not wearing his baklava, but you've missed him far to much to care. Ghost was left back at the barracks, the man before you wears a black sweatshirt and balck tatical pants. His boots are muddy, but he doesn't make the effort to take them off quite yet. His duffle bag drops to the floor as he walks over to you.
One day you hope you'll be able to run and jump into his arms, but for now your okay with having him come to you. His left hand comes behind your head as he leans down to kiss your forehead.
"I'm going to get a shower, love" he gruff voice states before unlacing his boots and walking past you. That crack in your heart felt bigger now. You know you won't hurt him, he knows too, but PTSD doesn't just go away.
He loved your independence. He loved that you didn't need him to survive, and while that may be true now that you've been with him it you know how badly it hurts when he's not there. You don't want to be needy. You don't want simon to think your whiny, but if your not the right person for him you'd encourage him to find them. Yet the thought of leaving him brings would bring a gash on your heart that would never heal.
Walking to your shared room you grab a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt for him to put on after his shower. Allowing him the option to cover any healing wounds. It's late and you know he wouldn't want you up worring.
Opening the bathroom door Simon finds you zoned out while grabbing your pajamas for the night. You hand aimlessly placed in the dresser draw while your eyes rarely blink. His large palm rests on your shoulder nearly scaring you half to death.
"love, is everything alright," his eyebrows furrow as he takes in your reaction. You know better then to lie him. He always knows.
You guide him to the edge of your bed and sit next to him. "Simon," you take a deep breath attempted to keep the tears at bay. "I missed you," you continue quietly looking down at you fidgeting hands. He waits for you to continue before speaking. " I just, this time was harder around," glancing up to see his expression you know he understands what your talking about. His rough hands cradle your face wiping the tears that escaped.
"I need you to tell me what you need," is all he said sound more like a command rather than comfort, but you know he's trying. He wants this to work out as much as you do.
"just..just hold me please,"
And at that he makes sure his arms curl around you as the two of you lay under the sheets. Your ear resting just above his heartbeat reminding you that he will always be here for you.

Three months without your boyfriend.
Your eyes scanned the new book you bought, 'Psycho by Robert Bloch'. It was a good book. 'I think everybody goes a little crazy sometimes' Norman bates said in the book. It was a line you related to heavily, especially when Simon went out on his missions. You were left all alone with your cat, Eleanor. Although, she was an adorable, orange tabby cat she reminded you of Simon since he bought her for you. Everything in this house reminded you of Simon. Half of the stuff in the living room he had bought because he'd rather gift you something than hug which you understood because he had opened up a tiny bit about his past and it seemed traumatic. Simon gifted you the most lavish things to equal the amount of times he wanted to hug you but couldn't due to his past. It was sad to think he had to buy your hugs but you appriciated the gesture.
~~~
"Right, I haven't had the chance to tell her that you lot are coming so if she freaks out don't worry." Simon grumbles.
The rest of the group nodded. Price was sitting in the drivers seat with Gaz beside him, they were both chatting about how the mission went while Simon and Soap were sitting at the back. For once, Simon showed some emotion. Nervousness. His leg was bouncing and his fist kept clenching and unclenching.
"You alright L.T?" Soap piped up, looking at his obviously anxious supervisor. Simon nodded.
"I hope she's doing alright." Simon stared at Soap with that stoic expression. Price and Gaz stopped talking and Price turned his head a little, keeping his eyes on the road.
"I'm sure she's fine. From what you've told us she can put up a fight so if something was to happen she'd be cool as a cucumber." Price smiled, trying to lighten the mood. Simon grimaced at the last part of his sentence but Price wasn't wrong. You knew Taekwando and you were flexible. Simon was shocked the first time you showed him how to do a backbend and that beautiful arch your back made that caused him to feel-
"Yeah, Ghost. She seems really nice. I've heard her while you two were on call. It's funny really. She sounds so sweet and bubbly and you-" Gaz stopped himself. "Well..." He trailed off when he saw Price shaking his head at him.
"He means that you two are polar opposites." Soap chimes in. "But you know what they say." He nudged Simon as if he already knew what he was going to say. "Opposites attract."
"Fucking hell." Simon let out a deep sigh. "Are we almost there?" He sounded impatient.
"Just around the corner, mate." Price reassured.
~~~
There was a knock at the door.
You poked your head from your book, folding the page over and stepping off the couch. You sighed. It could be Simon, then again it could be your SHEIN order that was due to arrive yesterday. You walked over to the door and opened it, gasping when you see your boyfriend, Simon.
"Simon!" You smile, stepping forward. Simons breath hitches and you notice this so you take a step back. He feels guilty. He had just been gone for three months and he's too scared to embrace his own girlfriend of 4 years? No. He won't let his fears get to him. Not when he's just left you for so long. Simon steps forward, pulling you close to him and hugging you. His arms stretched around your waist and he rested his face in the crook of your neck, you heard him inhale your perfume.
You were too distracted about the fact that Simon is hugging you that you don't realise his friends were here. You lifted your head to see them awkwardly looking away. "Simon, you never told me you brought your friends." You laughed when he pulled away, you could see the embarrassment in his eyes when he realised he had dived into your arms infront of his boss and co-workers.
"Yeah." He shuffled to the side and they all met your eyes. You smiled and waved and they did the same, mumbling some "hi's" and "hello's". "This is Soap."
"I believe he prefers-." Gaz speaks.
"Pipe down." Soap interrupts him.
Simon gave Soap a harsh pat on the back and Soap gave him a dirty look. He points to Price and Gaz. "Thats Price, my captain and Gaz."
"Oh, its so nice to meet you all. Come in, i'll get you all something to drink if you'd like.
"Um.. alright then." Price smiled back and entered, Gaz and Soap followed close behind and Ghost shut the door.
"I'm gluten free, by the way." Gaz says, looking around your massive living room. It has cat toys everywhere and Gaz nudges Soap. "They have a cat." He whispers and Soap looks thrilled, his head darts around in search for the feline.
While your in the kitchen making the men something to drink, they all settle down on the couch. Eleanor walks in and nuzzles against Ghost's leg. He leans over and pets her, scratching behind her ear. Soap looks in awe. "You never told us you have a cat." He scolds Ghost.
"You never asked." Ghost mumbled, picking Eleanor up and stroking her soft fur. "I missed you, Ellie." He whispers and holds the cat like a baby, loud purrs from Eleanor filled the room.
"Can I hold her?" Gaz asked, peeking over Soap's shoulder to look at the tabby cat.
"Me too, please." Soap asked, feeling his heart melt when Ghost placed Eleanor on Soap's lap. "Oh my god, who's a good kitty?" He says in a baby voice as Eleanor stretched across him and Gaz's lap. Their hands eagerly petting the cats fur.
You return with a tray of coca colas in bottles. "I made sure it was gluten free." You laugh and take a seat in an armchair. "I see Ellie has taken a liking to you both."
"Is that her name?" Gaz asked, looking up at you for a moment before sipping his cola and petting the kitten.
"Well, she's actually called Eleanor but me and Simon just call her Ellie." You smile.
"How old is she?" Price asked, scratching Eleanor's chin, smiling down at her. She purred away peacefully.
"Um.." You glanced at Simon who held up 3 fingers. "She's 3. She's a tabby cat so i'm just glad they don't grow too big."
Price nodded. "She's adorable. Be careful though, Soap and Gaz might want to steal her from you. They love animals." Gaz and Soap didn't even look up from the cat but they nodded. Eleanor let out a meow and they both went 'Aww'. "How long have you two lived together?"
"2 years I think. My dad left most of the inheritance to me so I asked Simon if he wanted to move in with me. And now we're here." You shrugged and Price nodded.
~~~
After about 2 hours of talking and joking Price checked his watch. "We should go now. Gaz and Soap have training tomorrow." He lifted up Eleanor from his lap and placed her on the couch. "Thank's for having us." Price smiled.
"Thanks." Gaz said with a smile before giving Eleanor a scratch on the chin. Soap did the same and nodded.
"Bye, you'll have to come over again!" You waved them off, shutting the door when they drive off. You re-enter the living room and sit beside Simon. "They seem lovely." You look up at him.
"You haven't known them as long as I have." Simon chuckled darkly, his arm hesitantly reaching over your shoulder and hooking around to pull you close to him. He looked down at you.
"So.. do you want to order a take-away or do you want to go out?" You nestled your cheek against the side of his chest.
"Can we stay here?" He asked, sinking into the couch. "Like how we are now. I don't want to let you go."
"Okay, Simon." You nod and smile. And he didn't let you go. He made sure you fell asleep and woke up in his arms.
You’ve only met the guy once, and yet, you’re standing over him while he lays shirtless on your couch.
Of course, you weren’t planning on having anyone over tonight, no. You thought you would get home from your mission, albeit a bit bruised and sore. You were going to take a nice hot bath and let the steam melt away your worries. You had your self-care night all planned out. That was, until this morning when your team aka Task Force Cobra, got informed that you were paired up with Task force 141. It was to be a matrix job, something you weren’t overly used to.
Nonetheless, each group gathered in the conference room to debrief. This was your first time meeting the aforementioned 141 squad. They weren’t as intimidating as you thought, although maybe it was because you were also a skilled marksman. Nevertheless, you introduced yourselves and got the formalities out of the way before you got into the nitty gritty of today’s mission.
However, one of the 141 members caught your eye. Goes by the name Ghost. He was one of the taller ones, and you could only see his eyes. Everything else was left to the imagination.
You quickly rid your thoughts of the man, needing to focus on what you were assigned to do. You drew your attention back to Price and Diablo, who was your supervisor for Cobra.
“Cobra’s task is to run recon. We’ll go in first unsuspected and gather as much intel as needed. Then, 141 will come in.”
You mentally groan. You personally didn’t like recon because it usually didn’t result in a lot of action, and action is what you were trained for. You had a black belt in martial arts after all, and you were pretty adept with a knife.
Though, you kept your dissatisfaction to yourself and listened to the rest of the briefing.
--
Nothing exciting happened during recon. In order to gather intel, Cobra tried to look like normal civilians in the market area; all your weapons were concealed. You spotted a few of the hitmen you were after, and radioed 141. The hitmen you were after are part of a drug trafficking group called the Ludin cartel. You really were after the king pins, but you had to start somewhere.
Once you sent the signal, 141 started infiltrating the area and the civilians quickly scattered when they saw men with heavy weaponry storming through the market.
By now, you were in the outskirts of the market, but you could still see the commotion happening within. You may have just seen Ghost get shot. Wait what?
You did a double take and sure enough, Ghost has a red stain on his pant leg. Fuck.
You know you need to get to him as soon as he can so he won’t bleed out, but there’s still Ludin men surrounding him.
Well, fuck me.
You took a breath then started to make your way over to Ghost. Your movements were swift and sharp as you cut through Ludin’s men, every once in awhile your knife made contact with someone’s skin, leaving a big gash wherever the blade reached.
Once the hitmen were taken care of, you were left with the sight of Ghost passed out on the ground. You radioed Cobra and 141, “Ghost’s down. I repeat, Ghost’s down.”
You heard a chopper in the distance.
--
The last thing Ghost remembers is faintly seeing someone take down nearly every Ludin man that was surrounding him; he doesn’t remember much after that. Now, he’s awake but his surrounding is unfamiliar to him.
He also feels a chill, and that’s when he looks down and notices his shirt is off, but there’s also a thick white bandage covering the loser half of his torso.
What the fuck happened?
“Oh good, you’re awake.” A sweet voice cuts through the air, and he looks up to find a woman standing over him. Your face is soft, your features show compassion, tenderness, and he doesn’t feel on guard like he usually does when he wakes up in an unfamiliar place.
Maybe it’s the daze of waking up with two bullet holes in your body, maybe it’s because of you. Whichever, he can’t find himself to tear his eyes away from your sweet face. It’s been so long that you even say, “Are you alright? Can you hear me okay?”
He mentally shakes his head. “Yeah, sorry. Just wasn’t sure where I was for a moment. You’re y/n right, from Cobra?”
You give him a slight nod with a smile that tugs at the corner of your lips. He finds himself looking there, at the plush color that coats them, but quickly averts his gaze so he doesn’t seem like a creep.
“Yeah, you got banged up pretty bad. Two bullets. One in your thigh, the other grazed your abdomen.”
Jesus.
“Why am I here in this house?” His tone is only curious, wondering why he isn’t in the med house back at base.
“This is one of my safe houses, and it just so happened to be the closest to the raid. Both teams agreed for me to take you back here. Along with being a skilled martial artist, I also happen to be a medic.”
Your sweet smile turns into a smirk while confidence coats your face, and Ghost finds this extremely attractive.
He once again can’t tear his eyes from you.
“Are you sure you’re alright? You keep staring.”
Fuck me.
He stutters out the first bit of his response, “I’m fine, sorry. Just have a headache, but also it doesn’t help that I’m laying here shirtless with a beautiful, yet terrifying martial artist turned medic.”
You let out a laugh that makes his heart glow. What the fuck is wrong with me?
I’ve literally only met this woman once.
“No worries, Lieutenant. Patients are usually a little discombobulated after being injured.”
You smile at him again, “This is a judgment free zone.”
Ghost nods, feeling a little bit better. A hint of smirk forms on his lips, “If this is a ‘judgement free zone’, would you mind if I ask you a question?”
You nod, willing him to proceed.
He’s taking a risk, he knows. But he has to ask. He’s already so enamored by you.
“Well, since you’ve been so kind as to take me to your home, and tend to my wounds, what do you say about me taking you out for a drink? As a thank you, of course.”
He watches as your face shifts from intrigue to understanding. Your sweet laughs permeates the air once again.
“I usually don’t accept offers like this, but for you I will.”
Ghost lets out a breathy laugh.
“Great, it’s a date then.”
--
hope you enjoyed!
▻ Chapter 3 from the It’s Always Been You series ◅
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your heart pounded in your chest as you faced the reality that the mysterious man from the club was not only part of this enigmatic company but had a role that extended far beyond the dance floor. Mr. Riley, the man who had saved you from the clutches of danger, was deeply entwined with this organization.
Simon acknowledged the introduction with a nod, his expression giving nothing away. Those piercing blue eyes, which had held a hint of amusement when you two first met, his eyes ranked you up and down. He was like a wolf, picking out the things that you felt he could see made you squirm.
"Welcome, Y/N," he said, his tone neutral.
You nodded, struggling to find your voice. "Hello."
Mr. Reynolds, who had been observing the between you two interaction with an unreadable expression, suddenly stoped as he spoke. "I'm sure you have many questions, Y/N. But for now, let's focus on your role here. Mr. Riley will be your point of contact for any inquiries or assistance you may need."
Mr. Riley gave a curt nod, acknowledging his responsibility. "I'll do my best to ensure you settle in smoothly, Y/N."
With that, Mr. Reynolds excused himself, leaving you alone with Mr. Riley in the office. The weight of the situation bore down on you. As you watched Mr. Riley leaned against a nearby desk, studying you with a sudden and new hint of curiosity. "You seem surprised."
You took a deep breath, trying to steady your racing thoughts. "I am. I never expected… any of this."
He gave a wry smile, though there was a glint of something else in his eyes, something you couldn't quite decipher. "Life has a way of surprising us, Y/N."
As the minutes passed, Mr. Riley began to unravel the things of your new role, explaining the tasks and responsibilities that lay ahead. Despite the initial shock, his guidance put you at ease, and you found yourself drawn to his enigmatic presence.
"Sorry, but Mr. Riley-"
"Simon. Call me Simon."
His interruption was gentle, and his eyes held a hint of warmth as he corrected you. A strange mix of emotions bubbled within you - confusion, curiosity, and an unexplainable attraction to this enigmatic man. Simon Riley, the consultant.
You cleared your throat, feeling a nervous chuckle creeping up your throat at the realization that you were getting lost in his gaze. "Simon," you repeated, "I was wondering about my office and, well, where I'll be working."
Simon straightened, his posture commanding and confident. "Of course, Y/N. Follow me."
With that, he led the way out of Mr. Reynolds' office and into the corridor. The building's interior was a stark contrast to its unassuming exterior. Polished marble floors stretched beneath our feet, and the walls were adorned with sleek, modern artwork. As you two walked, Simon explained, "Your office is on the twenty-first floor, and it's ready for you. I've arranged a workspace that should suit your needs. I hope it meets your expectations."
You couldn't help but feel a twinge of excitement at the prospect of your own office, yet questions nagged at the edges of your mind. "A workspace?" At previous office jobs those who are new start from the ground up, a bathroom-sized cubicle and an even smaller office for your 'hard-earned' work you did for the business for ten-plus years.
Simon raised an eyebrow, a faint smirk playing on his lips. "Of course, I pulled some strings. I always aim for the best for newcomers like you."
As you and Simon reached the elevator, he pressed the button for the twenty-first floor. The ride-up was silent, but the tension in the confined space. When the elevator doors opened, you stepped out onto the twenty-first floor, and Simon led you down a corridor lined with identical wooden doors. Each door had a nameplate indicating its occupant.
Finally, you and he arrived at a door with your name neatly engraved on a nameplate. Simon opened it to reveal a tastefully decorated office with a large window offering a breathtaking view of the city. A sleek desk, a comfortable chair, and an assortment of office supplies awaited you.
You stepped inside, taking in the space that would soon become your sanctuary within this enigmatic building. "It's… perfect," you admitted, genuinely impressed.
Simon leaned against the doorframe, a hint of satisfaction in his eyes. "I'm glad you like it, Y/N. You'll find everything you need here." His gaze was like a caress, tracing the contours of your figure as you faced the expansive window that overlooked the sprawling city of Manhattan below. You were completely unaware of his secretive admiration of your tight shirt and unmatching heels. It gave him the feeling that you were cute to the picky eye of him.
As his eyes traced the lines of your fitted shirt and the unmatching yet oddly charming heels you wore. It was clear that he found your unconventional style appealing, a departure from the fake and bratty women he must have encountered in his world. The ones that throw themselves at him for a bit of his dick or just praise.
"Good luck on your first day, Y/N," he said, his voice low and intimate. With a faint, enigmatic smile, he closed the door. He was so quick to leave as if he realised he better leave before he did something embarrassing or regrettable. Yet only now do you turn around to drop an unheard "Bye" as he had already disappeared like the mysterious shadow he was down the hall. As you prepared for the new office day ahead.
Little did you know that Simon's fascination with you was growing into something far more powerful—an obsession that would shape the course of everything.
i’m so deeply sad at the moment that i’m surrounding myself in fluffy fluffy fics and just hoping for a soft landing for myself but when i try to write it’s just either a) minimal effort or b) so fucking sad
like i’m trying to write a retail hell au with the tf141 boys but yeah. anyway have some notes under the cut about where i’ve stuck the boys so far.
so imagine with me that for whatever reason tf141 end up working in B&Q (home depot for those of you over the pond)
gaz works in the kitchens, bathrooms and bedroom department as a designer/consultant. why? because he’s pretty and can charm anyone into an upsell. oh you came in to get a quote on cheap sanitary ware (toilet, sink, bathtub/shower)? suddenly the customer (“client, they’re always clients. sounds better y’know?”) walking out with a £2000 order containing new tiles, a waterfall shower head, walk in shower array, £120 basin taps, a new towel warmer and a beautiful mirrored cabinet. you love watching him work because he’s just so charming and personable. always shoots you a wink from behind the computer too.
simon works stockflow. he’s in the warehouse or yard exclusively. smashes through deliveries and stock at a rapid pace and then stands in the yard smoking. no he doesn’t need any help, fuck off. leave it alone you’re going to fuck up his system. incredibly territorial over the yard/warehouse and only lets john, soap, gaz in. has a hand written sign pinned by the doors “NO ENTRY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. ESPECIALLY FOR YOU.” the store a manager takes it down periodically. simon puts it back up. nods at you when you pass the entrance to the warehouse but doesn’t speak. coincidentally he seems to be by the entrance shuffling delivery notes or paperwork whenever you walk past.
soap technically works the interior decorating department. technically. he loves working on the paint mixing desk and flirting with all the women that come up looking for just the right shade of whatever trendy colour has been advertised in home and gardens this season but will absolutely wander off to go bother price/gaz/simon/you whenever he feels like it. constantly being called for on the tannoy system “this is a staff announcement could john mactavish please return to the paint desk, customers waiting. that’s john mactavish to the paint desk. thank you”. you’re positive he ignores the first tannoy call just so he can hear you get more exasperated on the second and third call you put out for him.
price is the hardware, electrical and plumbing supervisor and technically the stockflow supervisor. barely ever steps foot in the warehouse aside from a quick check in because he knows simon has it covered. hates management meetings and always finds himself something time critical/difficult to put down when he knows there’s one coming up. a constant presence on the shop floor. always the first supervisor to respond to the tannoy when a customer is kicking up a fuss at the customer service desk. always seems to know where you are, whether that’s on the customer service desk, serving customers on the checkouts or putting away go backs in various aisles. checks in frequently with a little smile and a “alright love?” before moving on to whatever task he can do to keep him out of the store manager’s sights. reminds everyone to take their breaks regardless of whether or not they’re technically part of his department.
