I've seen some readers questioning Endo's decision of making Anya confess her abilities to Damian when there's Becky, Loid and Yor. But hold it, it actually does make a LOT of sense.

I think most of us missed how much relatable Damian is to Anya. She sees through his loneliness and it reminds her of when she was alone and wishing for a happy family. And there's this other huge factor - for both of them, their main motivators in life are their fathers.

During the 96th chapter, you can see Anya having a wishful face when she says Papa is Damian's favorite person. And Damian's vulnerable admission about her family put the final nail in Anya's perception. At that moment she felt like Damian would understand her and accept her no matter what and it was an amazing and the best subtle build-up ever.

Endo, you are amazing 👏

I'm sure this has been said before but it's so funny how super spy extraordinaire Twilight cannot see the big fat elephant in the room that is Damian's crush on anya

you got this kid basically going down a checklist of "how to say you have a crush without saying you have a crush". like by the book. and twilight is worried that him dancing with his crush is gonna make them grow further apart. like...

One of my favorite parts of chapter 96, besides the dance, the reveal, and more Damianya stuff, is that in the “Damian trivia” part of the challenge, most girls (and Twilight) knew the general or the questions about Damian’s family that weren’t directly connected with who Damian is as a person, contrastingly, those questions about Damian as a person are the questions that Anya got correct, sure, she used her powers in most of them… except the biggest, most private one, who Damian loves most, in the process realizing how similar they really are

I think it really speaks about how close they’ve grown, and how similar their motives are

Chapter 96 of SxF was released today! And it was absolutely a perfect continuation of the last chapter! (Spoilers below!)

So we start off with the challenges that Ewen and Emile have for all of Damian's possible dance partners! The first challenge was called "The Clapping Scarecrow Endurance Battle".

You have to admire their perseverance- all of the girls looked deathly determined to win. But of course, Anya had Loid on her side. I have to admit, his methods were impressive: he tied some thread to Anya and used his hand to control her movements!

It just goes to show how strong Loid is 😂 Of course, Anya being Anya, she started showing off with some moves of hers... I think this was the first time I've ever heard Loid think of his daughter as a fool, lol.

Next was an obstacle course! And Anya went a little insane on this one- she took off her shoes and completely plowed through the entire thing...

I do have to say, "inchworm Anya" wasn't something I was expecting in this new chapter 😭😭

And then the final challenge... The Ultimate Damian Quiz! With her mind-reading skills, Anya absolutely crushed the competition! Although some of the questions were a little challenging 😂

And then there was this scene, which made me want to throw my computer out the window (in a good way, of course).

AGH!! LOOK AT HIS FACE! MY CHILDDD

Of course, Anya won!

We also have this scene of Henderson asking Martha for a dance... I reallyyyyy hope Endo gives us some backstory soon, because I totally love their dynamic. "Old time's sake"... they definitely have some sort of history...

Poor Damian 😭 he's so freaked out to hold Anya's hand! But the two of them get the hang of it eventually.

AND THEN WE HAVE ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL SCENE!

(I swear to God, this will be my new phone background for the next two weeks) Look at his eyes... He looks so wistful 😭😭 I REALLY want him to meet the entire Forger family eventually! He's only ever had individual interactions with them. I wonder how he would react with all of them!

And then we have this scene, which made me gasp out loud.

SHE TOLD HIM. SHE. TOLD. HIMMMMMMM He doesn't believe her, but SHE TOLD HIM. And Endo dedicated an ENTIRE PAGE to this scene, which tells us that this was BIG. Not only because she essentially revealed her biggest secret (which he didn't believe her- yet), but it shows that Anya trusts him. I feel like this is something that'll be tied in later on... Plus it was an absolutely beautiful panel. (They're both so adorable <3)

The chapter ends with Anya and Damian bickering, but luckily, their friendship level has gone wayyy up. (Go Plan B!)

Anyways, that was a beautiful chapter! I can't wait for the next one!

Ce que je trouve intéressant est justement pourquoi Anya a décidé de lui révéler qu'elle est télépathe alors qu'elle a toujours gardé ça secret. Dans le chapitre précédent on peut voir que Damian envie les invitations de danse qu'Anya contrairement aux siennes. Et on le voit pendant leur danse, qu'il l'envie à nouveau car elle peut passer du temps avec son père contrairement à lui. Elle sympathise avec lui par leurs amours envers leurs pères et c'est justement ça qui l'a poussé a révélé son secret. Même si au final, il ne la croit pas.

What I find interesting is precisely why Anya decided to reveal to him that she's a telepath when she's always kept it a secret. In the previous chapter we see that Damian envies Anya's dance invitations as opposed to his own. And we see during their dance that he envies her again because she can spend time with her father unlike him. She sympathizes with him because of their love for their fathers, and that's precisely what drove her to reveal her secret. Even if, in the end, he doesn't believe her.
