Tanboor or Tanbour (which can be spelled as tambour or tamboor) is the long-necked lute of Persia. Tanboor is used either in folk or classical music of persian . Persian tanboor has a larger bowl than setar and it has two steel strings (three when the higher string is doubled). Tanboor is played by using all of the fingers of the right hand. Its bowl is made of mulberry wood, it has a wooden soundboard and the neck is in general of walnut wood. Tanboor has 14 gut frets which are arranged chromatically. This instrument is used in sacred music too ; therefore, it has a different repertory.

In memory of Kianoosh Asa

Nine years ago, in 2009, Iran faced an uprising following the presidential elections and the reelection of Ahmadinejad. All university students across the country, including Tehran, joined the peaceful protests to show their objection towards the election outcome and the ruling dictatorship. 

Many students were shot dead in the protest or killed under torture, among them was Kianoosh Asa, a Master's Degree Student majoring in Chemical Engineering at the University of Elm o Sanat. Asa was reportedly injured and went missing on June 15 in the Freedom Square in Tehran. His family identified his body 10 days later. He was killed by a gunshot to the neck. 

Nine years later, today, we the Iranian-American Youth and the voices of tomorrow's Iran, pay homage to the memory of Kianoosh Asa, who made the ultimate sacrifice to be the voice of the oppressed in Iran. 

Kianoosh Asa was born on 19 March 1984 in Kermanshah Iran. He was an environmental activist, a religious minority and played the musical instrument of Tanboor.

نمیدانم که جامعه شناسان نامش را چه مینهند، اما من نامش را ،وهم ذهنی، مینهم. از هر یارسانی درباره تنبور بپرسی، بدون تردید این کلمه را در متن و بطن سخنش خواهی شنید. مقام پردیوری. مقام پردیوری امروز بعنوان توهمی شیرین ورد زبان یارسانان شده و اما از هرکه بپرسی، جواب در خور تعریف، از آن حاصل نمی گردد. نه تنها تنبور بلکه بنظر میرسد بخش بزرگی از آن چیزی که ما بعنوان فرهنگ یارسانی پردیوری از آن یاد میکنیم، هیچ ارتباطی به پردیور ندارد. اگر از مسیر خارج نشده باشم، باید اضافه کنم که آنچه که در پردیور و در روستایی در تنگ دره ای صعب و سخت، در کنار هزاران معاند خودی و غیر خودی از آن بعنوان گشایش بزرگ آیینی یارسان یاد میکنیم، در عمل نمیتوانسته در طی چند سال حضور سلطان در آن منطقه عمیق و عجیب خلق شده باشد. آگاهی به این مطلب نیاز به کمی فکر کردن دارد، اما خوب شاید ما زیاد برای این مقدار هم زمان نداشته باشیم. تنبور در گوران، بدون تردید و بدون هیچ تعارفی، دارای پیشینه ای نهفته در بطن و متن هویتهای تاریخی مردمان منطقه و بزرگان آیین یاریست، ولی تنبور مقامی گوران، با دوران تکیه داری آسید شمس الدین حیدری گوران، از دل تاریکی تاریخ، سر در روشنایی دورانی جدید برآورد. هر چه هست و نیست در این دوران زنده میشود و نمیتوان گفت که همه چیز این است ولی میتوان گفت این همه دارایی تنبور گوران است. پیوند زدن این خزانه ارزشمند با پردیور، شاید بگونه ای هویت بخشی تصنعی به تنبور گوران باشد. آنقدر درباره اهمیت تاثیر مقوله جغرافیا نوشته ام که گمان میکنم تکرار مکررات باشد، اما با تمام آنچه در بالا گفته شد، باید ایمان بیاوریم که اگر چیزی از تنبور یارسان باقی مانده باشد، باید در حوزه جغرافیای فرهنگی و انسانی گوران باشد. این تعصب نیست. این حقیقتیست که شاید تلخ باشد. #tanboor #tanbor #kurd #kurdestan #ahlehagh #culture #kermanshah #iran #history #goran #mitraism #گوران #قلخانی #سنجابی #اهلحق #یارستان #یارسان #آیین_یارسان  #یارستانیان  #یارسانی    #کرمانشاه #کرماشان #کرد #کردستان #کوردستان #کورد #توتشامی #کرمانشاه #میتراییسم https://www.instagram.com/p/CFxObPjgomm/?igshid=1ss7v43dc3dl8
