Teleya: Well well well... long time no see. Except in my revenge fantasies, where I see you hourly.

Now Bortus and Ed can bond over the fact they are both dads of daughters they fathered with a radically conservative partners who were so stuck in their traditions that they actually abandoned their daughters they consider to be abominations. A rather specific club, isn't it :D.

She can kill with a smile, she can wound with her eyes
Ed had been sitting in that cell for a long while, the sound of Janel's screams of pain still echoing in his ears. He had expected they would bring her to him by now, but they hadn't, and every time he'd asked about her he'd been ignored, and his worry only grew into despair. Had they found out the truth about the code he'd given them already? And if they had, what had they done to her?
Read it on Ao3 here.

Absolutely obsessed with how determined Ed is to not give up on Teleya. Sure, yes, he wants her to see their common ground for the sake of peace, but on a personal level he's just so determined to get her to understand that he genuinely likes her despite the animosity between their people in the political arena.
Most other storylines would have had him out there like "but she LIED to me, can I ever forgive that?" (especially after how his marriage ended), and instead he's just holding on tight to that belief that it wasn't all a lie, that they did bond and that has to mean something.
Definitely seems like Ed and Kelly are reforging their relationship, but I appreciate how stubbornly Ed's over here all "I don't fucking care that you're Krill, Teleya, WE HAD SOMETHING".

Gordon: So Captain I have some news.
Ed: What is it?
Gordon: Well remember when you told me not to burn down the ship?
Ed: Oh my God, you burned down the Orville?!?!
Gordon: What no, Lamarr and I put out the fire almost immediately. This is a success story.

Chapters: 5/? Fandom: The Orville (TV) Rating: Not Rated Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings Characters: Teleya | Janel Tyler, Ed Mercer (The Orville), Gordon Malloy (The Orville), Isaac (The Orville), Bortus (The Orville), Kelly Grayson (The Orville), Anaya Mercer (The Orville) Additional Tags: The show does what it wants with the kids ages and so shall I, Teleya gets the therapy she so desperately needs, OC's Galore - Freeform Summary:
Teleya understands insignificance more than Ed could ever suspect. No matter how much she tries to prove herself; to Krill, Avis, her family, the universe is determined to constantly remind her how little she truly matters. Left to be forgotten in the Sahara Rehabilitation Facility Teleya is reminded is it not Avis who makes her feel insignificant, but forces one krill will never have the ability to fix by herself.
While Teleya deals with her demons and a pesky psychologist in a sun-drenched desert, Ed and the Union are faced with a new mystery. Krill ships are being annihilated by a mysterious foe, one they begin to fear is closer to home than they initially realized.
After an abduction shatters Teleya’s therapy-life balance, both she and Ed must figure out some sort of treaty between themselves before the forces far beyond their control degrade the delicate balance obtained after Draconis 427. Peace is hard won, and sometimes the universe tasks its protection to a pissed off former Supreme Chancellor and confused starship captain.

Teleya: I'll get my revenge on you, Ed, by killing your favorite crew memeber!
Teleya: *aims gun at Kelly*
Gordon: I thought I was the favorite?!
Teleya: *aims gun at Gordon*
Gordon: NOT THE FAVORITE! NOT THE FAVORITE!

It's the 25th century and Ed Mercer still haven't figured out how to use birth control? It makes it hard for me to suspend my disbelief.
I'm trying to deal with it with a head canon that Krill or at least the radical Krill are also against birth control and Teleya lied to him she was using it because she thought it would be suspicious if she said she didn't.
