Sidekick (Tesla Lindocruz x Reader)

Synopsis: Just Fracción, you had no power when it came to the rivalry between your masters. You knew that, Tesla... not so much.

Notes: Ugh still fawning over underrated characters

It wasn’t much of a fight. At least it didn’t look like it to you. It didn’t appear like one to your master, either, and yet, Tesla stood on the sidelines, ready to intervene as if he would be allowed to take a singular step onto the battlefield in the first place. 

You thought that the way he stood was funny, all straight with square shoulders and a gloved hand on the hilt of his Zanpakutō. You came up next to him to watch the battle. Your Master Nelliel fended off Nnoitra’s crescent axe with a thumb looped in the loose belt around her waist. You leaned forward, staring at Tesla from the side of your eye to gauge his reaction to the match. He gave nothing away other than the stiffening of his shoulders. You studied his eyepatch and leaned farther forward. Perhaps he didn’t see you.

“Can I help you?” he grumbled.  You let out a slight huff of satisfaction, mirroring his stance mockingly.

“Nnoitra is struggling.”

“Master Nnoitra is doing no such thing!” Tesla whipped toward you, hand now fully gripped around the hilt of his Zanpakutō, ready to draw at any moment. The motion didn’t escape you. Your eyes flickered downward, but a deep sigh ultimately overtook you as you fluttered to the sand below.

Tesla blinked, taken aback as you situated yourself among the white grains. You sat on the side of your thigh, leaning on one of your palms as you drew reishi pictures in the sand. The shapes glowed. Tesla frowned, watching as you smoothed out the particles.

“What are you doing?” he asked curtly. You glanced over to the match to your right, just in time to see Nnoitra go tumbling by the sheer force of Nelliel’s sword. He left a lengthy skidmark as he was enveloped by the white substrate below. You turned back to your little drawings. 

“This is going to take a while,” you sighed absentmindedly. “What are you going to do, Sidekick? It’s not like Nnoitra would let you intervene anyway.” 

Tesla looked at the field as you did. Nnoitra was bleeding from the shoulder, and Nelliel was already walking away. But despite his injuries, Nnoitra had already begun charging with his weapon, splashing sand behind him, only to be struck down again. Tesla studied you a moment more before he sat down with you. 

He sat with his legs crossed, letting his elbows rest on his knees as his back bent with the slightest slouch. His Verruga drew a long line in the sand by Tesla’s hip. You drew four diagonal lines between you and another four across them in the opposite direction.

“Do you know how to play?”

“Yes, I know.”

“First move is yours.” You clasped your hands in your lap, watching the board. Tesla didn’t make a motion to play, studying you intently instead. He scowled, sitting up the slightest bit in alert. 

“Why would you give me the first move?” he asked assusingly. Tesla crossed his arms over his chest, his brow furrowing in annoyance. You shrugged, running over one of the lines that didn’t fully form in the sand. 

“Our masters are the ones with the rivalry, Tesla. I have no ill will against you.” 

Tesla met your eye, watching you closely before he ultimately gave in and played the first move. 

By the time Nnoitra had enough, you and Tesla had made it through at least five games. He had relaxed some, bent ankles spread on either side of your game board with his head on his palm. Nnoitra barked Tesla’s name, causing him to jump.

“Tesla! Get over here; we’re leaving.” 

“Coming, Master Nnoitra!” Tesla scrambled up, smudging a quarter of your game with his boot. He did a trouble-take, almost freezing where he stood as he glanced briefly back to where you sat on the sand. Tesla’s lips parted and then closed. A nearly inaudible strangled sound stalled in his throat as he whipped back toward Nnoitra. 

“We’ll do a tie-breaker next time,” you said, dusting yourself off as you stood. You offered a slight smile and a nod. The corners of Tesla’s mouth threatened to turn upward.

“Tesla!” Nnoitra shouted somewhere in the background in a rage. Tesla jumped, turning on his heel to follow after his master.

Smash or pass the fraccioné?

Ooh, bet! (Sorry, I meant to get to this earlier but then I was struck down with sickness.) Lilynette Gingerback

Pass, for obvious reasons. I do like her hair and eye colours though. Avirama Redder Pass. He's not unattractive per se but he's not really my thing. Also characters who try to look intimidating and then get utterly bodied tend to be a bit of a turn off for me. Findor Carias Exacta! He's a smash. His personality is kind of annoying but he does have a nice face. Ggio Vega Smash! He's got such a nice design, it's a shame it's wasted on a fraccion. I would've way preferred he got resurrected as a zombie over Luppi.

Pass. I like his colour palette but no.

Choe Neng Poww + Nirge Parduoc Pass.

Apache

Pass. She has the most obnoxious personality of the three of them and the weakest design imo, I hate something of a vendetta against bobs.

Mira Rose

Smash! She may look like a palette swap of Rangiku but that doesn't change that she looks like Rangiku.

Sun-Sung SMASH! She's soooo fucking pretty. I know Rangiku, Yoruichi, Halibel, Neliel (ugh), Orihime and Unohana are considered like THE beauties of Bleach, but something about Sun-Sung is so gorgeous. Her eye shape and colour and the contrast with her hair is so pleasing. Also she's less annoying than the other two.

Tesra Lindocruz Pass. He's not ugly but his slavish devotion to Nnoitra speaks volumes. Grimmjow's Fraccion All of them are a pass. The only remotely handsome one is Ylforte Granz and he got his ass kicked by a little girl.

Szayel Aporro's Fraccion

Same as Grimmjow except even moreso, especially since two of them look the same blob things.

I'm currently working really hard on this NnoiTes comic, so here is one of the panels you are going to see in it

"I think you highly underestimate the way things work around here... Ma'am."

Momo has forgotten a lot over the years. She doesn't remember where she grew up or if she had siblings or how she died. Momo doesn't even remember how to play music anymore, and she was taught to play string instruments in the Rukongai. But she remembers how to trap animals. How to break down a carcass.

Hueco Mundo may be absent of spices and greenery, but it has plenty of meat.

She mostly ignores Tesra while carrying a quadrupedal chicken-like hollow by its feet. She grunts while she attempts to hold its four anisodactyl feet in one hand. It's not heavy. Momo is stronger than she looks, but its appendages are thick and cumbersome. Eventually, she settles for dropping it on the floor while she unlocks the door to her room.

She says, grunting as she lifts her chicken-like carcass on the floor, "I think you underestimate how quickly I can make you swallow your teeth, Lindocruz, so it seems we're at an impasse."

There's no malice. Exhaustion and frustration, but Momo is used to being treated like this. Arrancar are often bullies. Some exceptions exist, but Tesra has yet to prove himself exceptional. He's not exceptionally annoying, dangerous, good-looking, or helpful. She imagines he does more for Nnoitra, being their fraccion, but Tesra hasn't gone out of his way other than to be passive-aggressive, and she's under the impression that's just his baseline and not a campaign against her.

Even then, it's not something she intends to tolerate. It's obnoxious but also undercuts her authority.

Inside her room, Momo heaves the carcass onto her counter and fishes out her boning knife from a drawer. "I suggest you turn around. I have to remove the head and innards." She knows hollows are acclimated to carnage, but it feels cruel not to provide forewarning.

Using her boning knife, she searches along the neck for a space between the cervical vertebrae. "More to the point, if you have something to say, speak plainly instead of hiding behind a bad attitude. I'm not stupid or patient enough to allow it to go unaddressed, and I don't have the time to play your guessing games."

100 days of bleach challenge: day six

006 Weeks - Nnoitra/Tesra

Nnoitra snaps his fingers. "You two, get in here." He barks. You and Tesra look up from your game of chess. You look from Nnoitra to Tesra, waiting for him to act.

Nnoitra has been at this for weeks. He uses every opportunity to make sure you and Tesra have not a single moment to yourselves. You barely even get enough moments to yourself to shower and get a quick nap in. If it weren't for Aizen telling the tall Espada to back off every once in a while, he would have ran you and Tesra ragged. He would have worn you out.

"Undress, both of you." Nnoitra does not even bother waiting for you to get up. A few of the other Arrancar look up. Ulquiorra makes a disgusted noise. Tesra flusters and gets up in a bit of a hurry. You take a little bit longer.

Too long for Nnoitra's taste. He comes over, taking long strides. He grabs you by the scruff of your neck. "My bed, now! I am going to fuck you so hard, you won't even be able to mutter Tesra's little petnames." He hisses.

Why do you use tesla and not tesra

Well, several reasons. I think it sounds better. I've always liked the name Tesla, and even more preferred it over Tesra.

Everyone called him Tesla back when I was rping bleach characters, including Tesla, back on facebook page rp back in like 2010-2012 when I was on there, so that's what I've been calling him all these years. And I've never really watched the anime dub or sub so

Also Tesra is too close to Teresa and I have dyslexia, so........yeah. Tesla Lindocruz.
