Au where Steve and Eddie buy their first house- no longer renters actually buy it. It's a great little place, pretty cheap. Needs some Love. It's a four bed room three and a half bathrooms. No upstairs because Steve's not great with Stairs. It's on like at least 3 acers of land. It's not very big despite the amount of rooms- perfect for them. They don't realize until afterwards that, they also inherit a Feral Cat Colony.

That's it- that's the whole au- Just Steve and Eddie taking care of a Feral Cat colony. They name all of them- and take in Kittens to be fostered and adopted. They get all of them their shots. They take the older cats to get fixed as well.

It does piss Eddie off when people start dumping their unwanted cats on the property- not because he and Steve don't want more cats (or can't pay to take care of them) because one- it's so incredibly irresponsible take them to the Shelter!! Or knock on their fucking door. And, not only that- It upsets Steve, a lot. People just abandoning living creatures is a very sore spot for his Beloved, and Eddie will not stand for it.

The older cats that are super friendly in the Colony eventually make their way into living in the house.

(They also own a bookshop in town that has shop cats-)

#Finn's ocs #Finn's art #oc references #i wrote the descs while w the kids so hopefully they make sense. my attention was split #but anyway here in the tags I'll talk about the designs in relation to their kids lol #polaris is emulating thuban moreso than anyone else. her color scheme and outfit motifs are the same as his- they ARE his #her original outfit is clothes she took and diy'd into her own so she could go off into the world and well presumably look for him at first #the truth is she always wanted to see the world that's why she loved maps. in a way this was an excuse. in another way she was just lonely #but doesn't understand loneliness. also the fact that she's not his daughter by blood is part of that #bc of her actual parents (not as relevant character-wise) she sees all relationships as temporary and she has issues connecting #ananke i wanted to mostly look intimidating in a way that Bella really isn't #Bella puts on skull hairties and fishnets and stuff but she's very much. a cute softie trying to look edgy. she has pink twintails #she's so different from her mom in pretty much every way but she still did have that ideal of strength drilled into her #still her take on it is softer. she's the team leader now but she's really pretty lenient aside from the important No Killing rule ofc #w Rhea and Arche i had a bit of a flower theme. pussywillow (lol) means motherhood and buttercups mean childishness #so. mother and child #but rhea is interesting bc she's raising a whole different kid now that she's in a different place in life #if you do the math she had Saiph young. and it was alright for a while until his dad (again not as important) died #so she didn't have support or money. but she had a connection to the guild because his dad's old sword teacher is a member (hmm) #but she was too scared/ashamed to visit. she just left him his dad's old knife because that's all she had (THE KNIFE IS IMPORTANT) #arche is her kid with her second husband and her new beginning. this will cause some inner problems for Saiph when he meets them... #Poerava was kinda designed to have rich lady vibes because remember Al's family is practically nobility #but more importantly she's designed to look like a mom. with the low ponytail and tired eyes #the black pearl of her namesake as the centerpiece of her outfit too #again she's got the healthiest relationship with her kid here by a longshot #but i mean don't worry Al still got the daddy issues so he's not getting away unscathed #I already drew Taurus with the zodiac knights though so i didn't feel the need to reintroduce him #anyway Mira really has 0 connection to any family at all she was found as an orphaned baby after a monster attack #obviously she had parents but beyond town of origin it's unknown who so she has no connections to any sort of past parental figure #the guild is her one and only family and that's how she wants it. she wants to be with them forever the past doesn't matter

I got sucked into the Aegon and Rhaenrya marriage scheme, and it's opened an entire different cans of worms this time

People say Aegon and Rhaenrya's marriage would solve the Dance of the Dragons but they'd be wrong and ignoring the obvious which is who between them would be settling for the consort title and who'd Viserys even set aside Rhaenrya as heir for Aegon(which he didn't do even in canon) if he allowed the marriage or who'd he make Aegon the consort or who'd he ignore the heir issue and let his silence imply everything for everyone to misinterpret. I mean to the Green team(Otto at front and center) it'd obviously be Rhaenrya but by the time Aegon comes of age, Rhaenrya would be firstly older and hopefully had secured a powerful political cemented over those long years which would make it more difficult for them to dispute her as heir or even if they do, they won't be able to take Kingslanding from her(unlike in canon but I feel that Alicent and Otto being able to secure the marriage from when she was younger who'd cause her to feel an even more oppresive pressure as the Green would gloat/be smug about their victory for the throne all through her younger years until she makes herself a problem for them)

The overarching problem would be what about Daemon?

I feel like Daemon and the Velaryons would then form another faction against them though cause that'd be like 3 dragons from Daemon, Baela(assuming the war starts before or once Rhaenrya finally marries Aegon and is pregnant so there's absolutely no chance for Daemon anymore, anyway by the time that happens the girls and their dragons should be all grown up) & Rhaena(assuming since her egg doesn't hatch, she could go claim a dragon from Dragonstone). Plus 2 dragons from Rhaenys and Laenor. And assuming Laena dies & Vhagar is lost as well, Daemon could then remarry and have other children who could claim Vhagar so that'd be 4-6 dragons against Team Green & Team Black(4-5 dragons from Green depending if Aemond gets Vhagar or another dragon plus Rhaenrya).

I feel like Daemon would try to start a war before Aegon and Rhaenrya had children so the count of the dragons would be more on his side and Team Black & Green wouldn't be able to use any children's marriages to lure people their way

And while the Green children could still marry any of Laena or Laenor's children or even Laena/Laenor if they don't marry, I don't think Corlys spite would allow that when Daemon is right there connected with Laena already with greatest closest chance than anyone else at that moment(5-6 vs 4-5 dragons fight) for the title of king if he won

The Targaryens especially in the Dance of the Dragons feel like a neverending circle of two snakes devouring each other, the earlier generations to the next generations, from parents to their childrens. The parents raising their children the only way they know how to until the children finally grow up and devour their parents because that's the only way they've ever known how to live

I’d have had to redo everything and might as well have just pulled them from the box. When I asked if he had a plan, he said, “Yeah, to get the food out of boxes.”

Your Honor, I ask you… how was I to cope? I already had changed locations entirely, moved states, and had men walking in and out of my new home with my old things. I was going full Rain Man and trying to console myself by remembering that once they’d left we could pick up lunch and proceed with the process of figuring out where everything needed to go and Mr. Hyper decided to just.
