I think my way home is through you is so underrated, which sucks because its such a good song with so much meaning, and its one of my absolute favorites!!! I also think save yourself, ill hold them back is p underrated, because when they played it live the first time i didnt see a lot of hype for it, until they played it the 2nd time? Its another big fave of mine, i could write Essays about this song and the lyrics and feelings and imagery it evokes for me

YES my way home is through you definitely deserves more recognition. heaven help us and kill all your friends get a lot of deserved hype but way home has sooo much going on and is just as excellent. succhhhh a good vocal delivery from gerard. honestly now that I'm listening to it it sounds like a proto-cw song bridging that gap between parade and cw (along with the desolation row cover)

and for real, save yourself has some of the best lyrics gerard's ever written. idk if i'd call it as underrated as some of their other stuff bc like...so much of dd sounds sooo sonically distinct except that save yourself, bulletproof heart, and only hope kind of all occupy similar roles in the album, ykeim? all three of them have some really great moments and really great lyrics but if they'd had more time to perfect danger days i feel like one of them should have been dropped and it would have made the other two stand out better (imo that one would be only hope). so ya i think save yourself deserves more hype maybe but i personally wouldn't call it the most underrated. can totally see why it would be someone's favourite tho

long story short-i got this idea/au where shadow/team dark are fighting against a big meanie,evil god,alien,whateever, proably mephiles ha and shadow inhibitors just break and his anatomy go funky and he transforms in some sort of ´´adult version of him ´´, he cant stay as a sonic clone all his life so his biology just go fuck you, you arent a moebian hedgehog my dude and he gets to be bigger now and flufflier, he also transform in some kind of slime/tentacle black doom look alike monster but that is before this, negative energy and fear affects him the same way the chaos emerald do, the big ass tail come from the biolizard

ok now he is adult he also has more of a fashion sense that he picked up from rouge but more minimalist and sadly he cant skate anymore since his shoes just break and he is way too tired and big to do that,dont be sad for him he can teleport anywhere he wants to lmao,he also has only part of his rings that he uses are  under his wrists

in personality he is way more mature and nihilist but in some weird groovy kind of way,he makes mistakes, take bad and good decisions as everyone, he is just a very conflicted mf but also has good intentions even if he is scary sometimes 

now with rouge and omega,they are brothers,like absolutely found family trope, think of we bare bears,they are these kind of brothers that make pranks and insult eachother but wont hesitate to to help the other even on the smallest problems or that will totally hear  them ramble about some shit at 3am , funny thing is that both rouge and shadow think of themselves as a the older one while the others are the younger,both are aware that omega is baby tho 

as for rouge outfit, i wanted to giver some really feminine comfy classy sport clothes so she can steal all the jewels she wants and be comfy about it but also cute.

now my most important hc about them ... is that the 3 of them are absolute idiots when it comes to cooking and eat like shit, like for example;rouge is just a bad cook, is either raw or burned with her,even her coffee tastes like oil,she is just inept when it comes to this 

shadow burned one of their hideouts once trying to use a microwave,there is some much things to learn about food that he gets overhelmed and nerveous.poor dude woke up tried to destroy the world,change his mind ,found his alien dad,kill him and sonic is constantly nagging him about races that food is the last thing that crossed his mind but despite all of that and the fact that he doesnt need to eat he still tries and eat everything bc he actually likes to eat so he taste any shit he finds ,rouge once found him eating a bag of salt 

omega is curious with food and since his brothers are bags of meat he thinks they absolutely need all the food in the world so he tries to cook but he doesnt have the taste sense,he tried to cook rocks once...

so that is my stupid novel about these anthro animals,idk team dark is just the best and i wish sega would do more with them...

what are your fave ts albums and why?

i know this isn’t exactly what you asked, but i’m gonna order them and give my reasoning!

1. red: it has some of the best songs of her career and the concept of the album is well explored. even if it isn’t cohesive, it just adds to the “happy free confused and lonely” vibe. also, even if there are a couple songs i don’t like, i wouldn’t remove them from the album. they just add to it! it deserved the grammy tbh

2. folklore: just like red, it has amazing songs, it has a good theme and it’s cohesive! the reason it’s not n1 is because the good songs aren’t as amazing as the ones on red. but, there isn’t a single bad song. so yeah. these two keep changing depending on which album i’m feeling more

3. 1989: her most iconic album. it’s underrated lyrically and it’s amazing sonically. taylor decided to make a pop album and she just went and did the best pop album of the decade. it tells a story, it’s cohesive, it has a fun theme and aesthetic... one could argue it’s not as “honest” as her older albums but i actually think that’s a good thing which she has mantained in her latest albums. listening to this album from start to finish is an incredible experience.

4. speak now: my baby. the love of my life. an angel. the fact that she wrote the entire album! on her own! it just shows how good as a lyricist taylor is!! also, it’s really good sonically. i really enjoy the country/rock sound. it’s painfully honest and most songs are very underrated which breaks my heart.

5. taylor swift: it used to be my least favorite album because i didn’t listen to it as much but it’s really really good. the fact that she wrote it when she was 12-15 years old it’s just ???? she explores metaphors and themes that last until folklore. it’s just a good album.

6. fearless: i really like fearless and it’s overall a very good album and it definitely has it’s highs, but there are a few skips in there. overall, a good album, deserved the grammy.

7. reputation: sigh. so. this might be an unpopular opinion. but i don’t think rep is as good as the fandom paints it. there are a few good songs, a few that are just fine, and there are a few terrible songs. i do appreciate the lesbianism™️ of it all but i definitely think compared to 1989 this was a bad album. it has a good concept tho!

8. lover: in case you didn’t know, i did not like lover. so let’s start w the good! it gave us cruel summer, it has songs w potential and a few fun songs. but overall? it’s not polished enough, lyrically a few songs are terrible and the bad production ruins the songs. it’s a boring album that needs some editing. but it gave us cruel summer. so.

no one asked but here is a fine line album review no i will not take criticism. it’s sonically great and lyrically mediocre apart from the songs where he isn’t so literal about shit and tbh proves pop is his sweet spot when he wants to hit all the marks track by track commentary below enjoy

golden- the entire song feels like it would be the bridge to another song and it’s okay but a weak opener

watermelon sugar- good but just kind of there it felt like a filler song from the first time I heard it but still would have served as a better opener than golden

adore you- not quite my fave but i think this is one of the places where he shines in terms of carving out a sound that is more definitively his vs. obvious influence from other artists

lights up- might be my fave similar to adore you in that i think this is a distinctive sound for him and i appreciate the self discovery more than any other theme on the album

cherry- keep it music is boring and for a song self described as petty it really does not go in that hard at all also i gagged in my car at the voice note

falling- a waste of a good vocal bc nothing about it flowed whatsoever

to be so lonely- musically might be my favorite to the point where i don’t even pay attention to the lyrics which again says something abt the lyrics but i still like it

she- the pink floyd arctic monkeys crossover bop we deserve a sick vocal and shows that his writing shines when the song is more conceptual also mitch shove your guitar up my ass

sunflower- i liked it the first time around but found myself wanting to skip it the second time I listened thru even tho i like the sound but tragically that goes for like half the album

canyon moon- not country at all idk what the fuck y’all think y’all are hearing but it’s fun if not the most interesting

fine line- this is what from the dining table thought it was doing and we all know I hated that song however this was some of the best writing on the album and a gorgeous vocal i just wish it had more verses.....but still a cheap bon iver

do not bring up the song i left off bc that barney & friends shit does not deserve rights

final thots: some of the songs are good some would be greatly improved if the lyrics weren’t so meh I think he needs to learn that being more honest/vulnerable does not have to equate to being more literal lyrically but the music itself is good i just wish he was more introspective all around i want to hear more about his own journey as a person and less about his surface level breakup sadness he did not push any limits here and pitchfork had it right when they said he makes music that sounds good but doesn’t say all that much
