please! — 62. love and... war?!
Tumblr media
it was the first monday since hanni and y/n had become officially unofficial almost/already girlfriends. it's... a weird situation. hanni did ask y/n to ask the question again in person, and the latter was (trying to) mentally prepare herself for the moment.
"should i kneel? like a proposal?" she asks a very confused jungwon that was sitting on a table while she walked back in forth in an agitated state.
"uh, absolutely not? you just became girlfriends, you're not getting married." he responds in a sarcastic tone.
"well, then what do i do?! do i ask her when i see her? do i tell her to come outside? to the rooftop?" clearly stressed out she throws her hands in the air as jungwon rolls his eyes.
he gets up from the table to lay his hands on y/n's shoulders. "you send her a text to meet you outside, you ask her the question, she says yes, you kiss. that's all you gotta do." she blushes at the thought and giggles as she imagines the scene, but quickly regains composure and stops, "ahem, i can't kiss her yet, it's too early." she says.
the boy looks at her in disbelief, "it's not too early, y/n! you're eighteen and you haven't kissed anyone. you have a girlfriend you can kiss now and you just- ugh!" he pinches the bridge of his nose.
"i don't know, jungwon! i just- i... i want her to ask me." y/n pouts, "i can't ask all the questions myself, you know?"
"whatever. but if she doesn't ask, you have to. i will be watching."
"please don't."
"i will."
a few hours later y/n found herself in the middle of class debating if she should send the text. i mean, she had to at one point, but she constantly argued if she should send it then and there or wait a little longer, mindlessly staring at her phone in the process.
"ms. hwang, please pay attention to the class." the teacher called out, startling her. "h- huh? oh yeah, sorry..." she apologized as she put down her phone with the screen facing the table, but forgetting to turn it off. exactly where the spot the send arrow was pressed down on a little crumb of used eraser, sending the text accidentally.
unaware of the matter, y/n just continued the class peacefully (with the debate still on the back of her mind). as soon as it ended, she took her phone in her hands to continue deciding what choice to make, only to find out it was already settled with the message sent and seen.
"ah shit."
Tumblr media
it was about half an hour before the time that y/n had asked her to meet outside and hanni was surprisingly nervous.
although she might have eavesdropped on her about-to-be girlfriend's conversation with her best friend a few hours ago. it wasn't on purpose! she went out to buy a snack and y/n and jungwon were just there.
she overheard something about a kiss, and how y/n hadn't had her first one. at the moment, hanni wanted to laugh, it was on brand with y/n's loser reputation, but held her laugh as she realized she hadn't had hers either.
although she had a few boyfriends in the past (and by a few i mean only two) she got bored of them and had broken up before they got to do anything besides a peck on the cheek, she was also pretty young back then, so she didn't want to go too fast with them. the thought of y/n and being each other's first kiss excited her.
"what do you even say after you kiss someone?" she asked out loud after zoning out for a few minutes. her friends looked at her in confusion at the sudden bringing of the topic.
"like and subscribe for more!" said shota making the entire group laugh.
"i'm not gonna say that!" embarrassed, hanni exclaimed. danielle stopped laughing and looked her way in surprise. "who are you gonna kiss?"
"well, y/n! duh!" a smirking hyein answered before her. "i was just asking! i'm not gonna kiss her..." flustered, hanni argues.
"yeah, okay! well, someone has to, and if it's not you then y/n will. and i will make sure it happens!" hyein being the self proclaimed "mastermind of relationships" was already planning to be hiding somewhere to spy on the couple. it wasn't only her, but jungwon also agreed to join her... and danielle... and haerin... and minji... and for some reason sunoo too?
"hyein, please don't go spying on us while we're talking." hanni warned.
"i won't!" she will.
"do you promise?"
"i promise." danielle sees her cross her fingers behind her back and laughs.
Tumblr media
it was time. y/n was already on the spot they agreed on, barely being able to stand on the freshly cut grass. she felt like she was going to shit herself.
behind her, hidden behind the green bushes, was her best friend, and her soon-to-be girlfriend's best friends. seven people hidden behind a large bush and about four of them could barely see anything.
y/n was once again lost in her thoughts out of nervousness. just get it over with, hwang. so out of it she didn't even notice the reason for her nerves approaching her, nor the septet of teens that were rustling by a bush.
in the middle of zoning out, she was interrupted by a finger snapping right in front of her face, "y/n?" immediately turning her head towards the shorter, she holds her breath only to let it all out at the first word she speaks.
"h-hanni! hey! hi! what are you doing here?" a forced awkward smile creeping up on the taller's features.
"you... asked me to meet you here?"
"right, fuck."
"did you want to ask me something?" hanni already knows what she's going to ask, she just doesn't want to waste any chance she gets to tease y/n.
"yeah! actually. so, um... the other day... when we, um, we were texting and i said this one thing... and you asked me another thing... and i asked you this other thing... you told me to, um..." y/n avoided any chance of eye contact with the shorter to help out her stuttering, but turning completely useless when she stole a quick glance at her to be met with a very intense stare from the other. "ask you... again... in person..."
"and what are you going to ask?" hanni fakes confusion to continue the clueless act.
oh my GOD, SHE'S SO MEAN TO ME, y/n thinks as she looks away in annoyance.
"i, well, i wanted to, um, ask... if i could you know... like, um, be... shit, um..." she looks back at hanni once again to watch her hold back a smile, clearly enjoying every stutter that came out of y/n's mouth. "oh my god, you fucking asshole." she muttered under her breath.
"what was that?" y/n musters up every bit of courage she had left.
"be your girlfriend!" she exclaimed with her eyes closed, fearing and not knowing of what. "i wanted to ask if i could be your girlfriend." she heard leaves and branches rustling heavily behind her, but not an answer came from hanni for a few seconds.
in confusion, she opened her eyes. hanni pretended to think with her arms crossed and a finger tapping her lips. y/n looked at them. shit! she looks away, blush running up to her cheeks.
"umm..." the shorter looked back at her, accidentally glancing at her lips. "okay! i'll accept." this time they both heard the bushes rustling loudly, but y/n couldn't care less.
"what?! really?!" her eyes widen as she asks again to make sure. hanni nods, "but i have a favor."
"anything you want." y/n rushed her words making hanni giggle.
"you have to kiss me."
as soon as she heard her words, she leant in a kissed the shorter's left cheek. when y/n pulled back, hanni stared at her in dissatisfaction. the taller tilted her head in confusion, not like the fake one hanni gave her a few minutes ago.
did i do it wrong? she thought, oh shit.
"stupid..." were the last words hanni whispered before taking the taller's face in her hands and pressing her lips against hers.
fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck was all that was heard in y/n's head.
it was really happening, she was kissing her crush, now girlfriend. y/n thought when she kissed someone she'd feel the infamous butterflies and fireworks, but after a few seconds of confusion all she could feel was peace.
like a well deserved break on the beach after months of hard work. like sitting by the window on a rainy day with her head resting on her arms. like sitting on top of a tree watching the sunlight hit the leaves with the sounds of the wind and the outside world in the background. like a slow dance with a loved one, like the one their lips were having at the moment.
y/n never moved her arms or hands, she just complied with hanni's movements and let her take control until she was satisfied and pulled away. and she did, as soon as hanni pulled away they looked at each other in awe. eyes glistening and both their cheeks and lips turned a slight shade of pink and red.
this time the rustling bushes were muted and drowned out by their own thoughts. but the sound of the world was coming back, and someone had to say something.
so hanni, still in her daze mutters, "like and subscribe-" wait, what? "-...for more?"
y/n lets out a loud laugh, "okay!"
"no! shit, sorry." hanni covers her face with her hands. "hell, why did i say that..."
after calming her laughter y/n reassured her it was okay, "it was cute, don't worry." silence fell once again. so that was it?
"so we're girlfriends now?" hanni asked.
"i think so." y/n answered.
but a voice was heard in the distance, "minji? what are you hiding for?" the high pitched voice of y/n's best friend, jihyo was undeniably heard by everyone.
the couple turned their heads to the noise, "babe! you're ratting us out!" minji complained while others groaned, hiding was useless now.
"what the fuck..." y/n whispered when she saw jungwon stand up from behind the bush. "jungwon, you asshole!" she screamed. "i told you not to watch!"
"and i told you i would!"
"what the hell is going on?" hanni asked out loud this time, until she connected the dots and the situation clicked.
"HYEIN YOU PROMISED YOU WOULDN'T FUCKING SPY!" she yelled at the top of her lungs as she approached the group.
"woops!" hyein ran away before she could get caught.
hanni reached the seven (now six) kids and stopped at the sight of someone, "and what the fuck are you doing here?" she asked sunoo.
the boy shrugged, "just wanted to see, i guess."
"so you're finally dating now?" danielle questioned, the blush that was gone suddenly returning to hanni's cheeks. y/n was also approaching the group, with the intention to beat up jungwon.
hanni smiled, "maybe."
"yes or no, dumbass."
"if you say no they won't be a party." sunoo warns.
"there's a party?" haerin, who was beside him asked.
"no, i just made that up, but if we tell dana she might find a way to make it happen."
"so yes or no." an impatient danielle asked again.
"YES! GOD! WE ARE!" annoyed, the shorter replied.
"fucking finally!" danielle, jungwon and jihyo all said in unison, the last one getting a few confused stares because of the unusual swear word.
"so let's go get dana." sassily, sunoo left to go find the girl, followed by haerin, minji, jihyo and jungwon, leaving the other girls to follow them afterwards. at one point they reached hyein, who was hiding behind a pillar a few steps away. "traitor." hanni said as she pulled on the younger's ear while they walked.
"ow! ow! ow! sorry- ow!"
Tumblr media
"and then she said, like and subscribe for mo- ouch!" y/n yelped in pain at her girlfriend's hit. she'd been telling everyone the story of how everything went by like she was a narrator as they all walked through the sunset.
sunoo had talked to dana about everything, and she gladly agreed to host a celebration at her uncle's restaurant. she didn't even ask for permission.
so they we're all headed there, walking peacefully with laughter and overall good vibes in the whole group. it was a major celebration! the two most dense members of the friend group had finally got together.
"no way you actually said that!" minji smiled in disbelief at what she was hearing of her best friend. "it's shota's fault!" hanni defended.
they all laughed as they walked, everyone focused on their own conversation. but the laughter was soon replaced with a cold atmosphere at the sudden sound of a deep, almost angry voice.
"yang jungwon!"
everyone turned around. an unfamiliar face to some, an unwanted face to others, but an unexpected face nonetheless. "haruto?" jungwon frowned, the taller boy was getting closer step by step.
jungwon wasn't gonna lie, he was confused and scared. but he didn't want more problems, at least not with his friends around, so he warned jihyo to step back and tell the others to do so too.
"how did you find me-"
"i'm sorry." haruto started, a (fake) regretful expression showing on his face. "for everything. i... thought it was shitty of me to apologize through text instead of in person and maybe that's why you didn't take me back but i wanted to say it to you, not to a screen, and i'm sorry about that too."
"so that's why you followed me and my friends?" jungwon frowned even harder, eyes squinting in disbelief.
"i-" haruto sighed, "i know you said you didn't want me to speak to you again and i was very stressed the day i dm'ed you but i really didn't mean what i said." he said like he was almost begging.
"please, jungwon. i really, really like you and i'm really fucking sorry."
"he told you he didn't want to speak to you again and you still followed him? do you realize how creepy that is?" y/n interrupted in a condescending tone, haruto glared at her but ignored her regardless.
he walked closer to the smaller boy but jungwon stepped back in fear. "i'm sorry, jungwon. i just wanna be on good term-"
almost tripping as he walked backwards, jungwon cut him off, "how did you know where i was?" he raised his eyebrow, clearly scared now, his voice got quieter. y/n heard it in his tone, and was fuming with rage, ready to beat him up any second.
"i found out where you went to school and-"
"oh, fuck no." y/n exclaimed as she stomped towards the taller and punched him right in the cheekbone, making him stumble a little. the adrenaline in her system drowned out the gasps of her friends and the pain in her knuckles.
"what the fuck?!" haruto yelled, jungwon flinched but y/n kept her stance.
"yeah, what the fuck, asshole? you fucking creep? you stalk jungwon and try to gaslight him to forgive you and you think you're gonna get away with it?" she throws another punch at the same cheek, now both his face and her fist were bleeding.
haruto walked closer to the girl and pushed her, "haruto stop!" jungwon yelled, but the taller wasn't bothered. "who the hell even are you? if you're not part of this then get lost and let us handle whatever problem we have." he pushed once again, "jungwon doesn't need you to come to his defense, he has a black belt, dumbass. shouldn't you know that? he probably didn't tell you that, but he told me, and that's because i'm important in his life."
and so she kicked him in the ribs. haruto falls down in pain. she looked down at him.
"i trained with him since elementary, bitch." y/n spit, "and beat him too."
haruto tried to stand up but before he could do so y/n kicks his face once more.
"y/n, stop." jungwon warned, "he's getting what he deserves, jungwon. don't tell me you're gonna let him-"
"Y/N!" hanni screams noticing haruto standing up behind her and lifting his arm. and with a single punch...
K.O! Y/N OUT!

Milkshakes - Team Free Will Imagine (Supernatural)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Title: Milkshakes
Pairing: Team Free Will X Platonic!Fem!Reader (as put in the request)
Requested: @gabrielasilva1510
Word Count: 1,846 words
Warning(s): violence, death
Summary: [Early Season 11 (Before Episode 10)] Sam and Dean think that there's something that can be The Darkness. Castiel warns them but... who knows? Maybe God's ultimate weapon isn't as scary as it seems.
Author's Note: I used dodie for outfit inspiration because the outfit matched the vibe but change it if you want. I only used a female read because it's in the request and it helped with clarity because the whole imagine is in 3rd person (I do usually use they/them pronouns in my work). Finally, I thought the milkshake flavor sounded good, but you can change it in your mind if you want to.
Hey! I did a rewrite of the ending of Supernatural. It took a really long time to complete, so it would mean a lot to me if you check it out. Here’s a link! (it’s on my personal account)
----------------------------------------
--Third Person P.O.V--
Sam was leaning over a lore book in the library. It was too early for him to be so focused on the book but he felt like he needed to. The Darkness being released was his fault, he needed to find a solution.
Dean walked in from the kitchen with a cup of coffee and was clearly still half-asleep. He sat across from his brother.
"What're you reading," Dean grumbled out in between sips of coffee.
"I found this book about the most powerful beings," Sam explained. "Most of them are just rumored to exist but I thought it'd give us a jumping-off point on where to find something to help us defeat Amara."
"Anything interesting," Dean asked.
"A Nephilim; kid of an angel and a human," Sam said. "There's no mention that they could kill someone as powerful as God. Then there's..."
Sam trailed off and went back through the book, hunting for a particular page he had read nearly an hour ago. He pointed to the page once he found it.
"This doesn't even have a name but it describes a creature created by God to be a weapon," Sam explained. "I was doing some snooping on some message boards when I first found out about it. There's a lot of religious nuts and self-proclaimed hunters who think this thing is gonna be the end of the world. They say it's a prophecy that can't be stopped."
"And you think hunting it down is a good idea," Dean asked.
"Listen, I don't think it's fair to think this thing wants to end the world," Sam replied. "I think it's the best choice we have right now."
"Alright, fine, where do we look," Dean asked.
The boys didn't have to look far before Castiel popped into the library. He asked where they had gotten on their path to defeat Amara. His eyes went wide when they explained what they wanted to do.
"Are you two insane," Castiel asked.
"Listen-"
"No, I know more about this than either of you," the angel stopped Dean's argument. "This creature could kill you both with a look and end the world with a flick of the wrist and you want to track it down?!"
"Isn't it worth trying," Sam asked.
"'Trying,'" Castiel was so unbelievable done with the idiotic decisions of the Winchesters at that point.
"If we don't try something, then Amara kills all of us anyways," Dean said. "We need something Cas. This could be the thing."
Castiel sighed, letting his head fall forward for a moment before looking back up at the boys.
"Fine," Castiel threw his hands up. "Do you know how to find this thing?"
"Looks like a spell," Sam turned the book so Castiel could look at the page. "We should have everything. It's strange no one's tried-"
"Succeeded," Castiel corrected. "People have probably tried if the spell is so simple."
"Okay, good, let's get the supplies and give it a shot," Dean clapped his hands and stood up.
In a matter of minutes, the boys and their angel were back around the table and ready to start the spell.
Castiel and Dean jumped when Sam grabbed a knife and nicked his hand.
"One of us needs to be bonded," Sam explained. "Like a human compass. It feels right that it's me."
He didn't wait for the other two to respond before he started reading the spell of the book. Castiel and Dean exchanged a look for a moment.
As he finished the spell, a purple flame shot up from the bowl for a second. Sam felt his arm tingling from the wound up. He shook it out, trying to understand what it was telling him.
States over, a young girl, a college student visiting home, is sitting in a booth at a small diner.
In between page turns, she sits up straight. Her eyes flash the same purple as the flame from the spell before she snaps out of the trance.
She looks around. Everything feels different. It's like the air had shifted around her. She furrowed her eyebrows... what the hell was that?
--time skip--
Dean pulled the impala up to the curb of the street. The three of them look at the nice house. White picket fence, two stories, a garden.
"Are you sure about this," Dean asked Sam. "This seems like a pretty normal house."
Sam nodded, "I can feel it. It's here."
"Alright, let's go," Dean replied.
The three of them got out of the car and made their way up the pathway. None of them knew what fight they were going to get once they opened that door. It could've been a deadly fight. They may not have even had a chance to fight.
Still, with one last silent check with the others, Dean lifted his hand and knocked on the door.
The last thing they expected was for a girl to open the door with a wide smile. She had a white dress on with an orange cardigan over the top.
"Hello," she said happily. "What can I help you with?"
"Sam," Dean looked at his brother. Sam just nodded. He could feel it in his gut. "What's your name?"
"(Y/n)," the girl replied. "And you are?"
"I'm Sam," the taller man answered. "This is Dean and Cas."
"Nice to meet you," she held a hand out.
Sam awkwardly accepted, shaking her hand. They both froze, eyes flashing purple before they both stepped back from each other.
"That was weird," (Y/n) mumbled, frowning at her hand. "What was that?"
The boys looked at each other but before they could speak, there was a crash from inside the house. The girl jumped.
"Who's that," Dean asked.
"I don't know," she replied. "My parents are gone. No one else is supposed to be here."
Sam and Dean grabbed their guns before all of them walked inside.
Before they could get any answers for themselves, an angel rounded the corner and tried to grab (Y/n), who ran behind the others as soon as she saw the angel.
She stumbled backward toward the wall in shock and fear. She covered her mouth as the more angels walked into her living, not that she knew that's who they were.
Sam, Dean, and Cas were getting thrown around.
"Stop," Sam yelled as they walked toward (Y/n).
"We need something to defeat the Darkness," one of the angels said. "This is our option. Thank you for leading us to her."
(Y/n) was shaking more as she listened. The Darkness? Why was she so important to them? To the boys or the others who had broken into her house?
"Come on, (Y/n)," one of the angels had a hand out to her. She shook her head and the angel chuckled. "Fine. Make this harder."
The others came running at her.
"No," she yelled, dropping to the ground, and covering herself with her arms.
A pulse of energy shot out. The angels that had broken in had burned in front of her.
Dean, Sam, and Cas looked at each other.
(Y/n) slowly looked up from where she was.
"Hey," Sam walked over, kneeling next to her. "You alright?"
"What was that," she asked, shaking. "Who are you? Who were they? What did I do?"
"Hey, hey," Sam touched the girl's shoulders. "It's alright. Hey... how about we go somewhere to calm down? How about some food, yeah? Is there a restaurant nearby or something?"
She nodded. Sam helped her stand up fully and led her to the impala. Dean and Cas sat in the front while Sam and (Y/n) took the backseat.
(Y/n) rambled about a small diner nearby, giving Dean quick directions before falling silent again.
The four of them took a booth in the farthest back corner. (Y/n) sat leaning against the wall, Sam next to her and Cas and Dean across from her.
"Umm... do you know what you want," Sam asked quietly, making (Y/n) aware of the waitress there.
She was an old friend, "You alright, (Y/n)?"
"Yeah," (Y/n) nodded. "I'm just a little tired. Umm... can I get a cherry vanilla milkshake?"
"That it for you, dear," the waitress checked. (Y/n) nodded with a grin, playing with the end of her cardigan's sleeves.
The waitress took the other three's orders before walking away.
"Who were those people," (Y/n) asked. "Why did they break into my house?"
"Because God made you a weapon," Cas said bluntly, making (Y/n)'s eyes go wide.
"A weapon?"
"He means," Dean jumped in, "you have powers that you don't know about. That's why you were able to get rid of those angels."
"Those were angels," she tried to keep her voice down. They all nodded. "I thought angels were supposed to be good?"
"They are supposed to follow orders," Cas corrected. "Not all of them are good."
She nodded, "Are you guys angels?"
"No, well, Sam and I aren't," Dean pointed between him and his brother. "Cas is."
"Oh," she muttered. "You're not-"
"I'm not gonna force you to go to heaven to defeat the Darkness," Cas promised.
"The Darkness," she said. "What's that? Why do I need to fight it?"
"The Darkness is... kind of our fault," Sam explained. "She's trying to create a new world in her image, which includes destroying this one."
"So, how'd you find me," she asked.
Before they could answer, the waitress came back, dropping off their food and drinks. (Y/n) leaned forward and took a sip of her milkshake and grinned to herself for a moment.
The boys were so confused. This was God's weapon?
"Well, Dean and I are hunters," Sam continued once (Y/n) back over to him. "We hunt monsters. Our grandpa was part of this group, the Men of Letters. They have a book in their collection that talks about you. There was a spell that led us to you."
She nodded but furrowed her eyebrows. Monsters? God? Hunters? After what had happened today, she struggled to deny all of it but was still hesitant to believe them?
"Well, if the Darkness knows I can defeat... her... won't she be looking for me too," (Y/n) asked.
"We can keep you safe," Dean promised.
"You're sure?"
"As sure as possible," he nodded.
(Y/n) looked down for a moment, "Okay. I'll go with you. I just... I need to get some stuff from my house and tell my parents that I'll be gone."
"You can't tell them where you're going or why," Dean said. "It'll put them in danger."
She bit her lip, "If it saves them in the long run, fine."
(Y/n) asked a lot more questions that day as they ate in the diner. They told her about monsters and the big bads they had faced. Monsters' weaknesses and abilities. Their other hunting buddies. People she could trust.
Sam, Dean, and Cas trusted her immediately. They felt like they needed to. Like she was a person to rely on.
And there- over a cherry vanilla milkshake- (Y/n) watched her entire life change forever.

Sunwoo was nervous to say the least. Agreeing to go on a date with a stranger without even knowing them first didn't seem like a good idea. He didn't know why he agreed so fast, maybe it was his brain unconsciously telling him to do it. Racking his brain for a solution seemed worthless, so instead he spent his time getting ready. Not knowing what to wear to a coffee date, he went on facetime to ask his friends... they were not any help.
"I told you to wear the grey pants!"
"No no, Sunwoo, wear the black pants."
"I'm going to hang up," Sunwoo groaned over the bickering of Eric and Juyeon.
"Both of you have the fashion sense of a fish, I should be the one helping," Younghoon finally spoke up from the chaos.
"You guys can argue, I have to go or else I'll be late."
"Send pics later!", was the last thing Sunwoo heard before he hung up the phone and threw his outfit on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hearing the jingle of the bell, y/n looked up from her seat in the back of the cafe and smiled. Sunwoo looked very cute to her, and the obvious nervousness on his face helped calm her nerves for some reason.
On Sunwoo's side, he looked at every table with a girl that had an extra iced americano on the table. His eyes glanced over each table until he met eyes with a girl. He couldn't see their whole face due to their mask but they seemed to recognize him and waved him over.
"Hi Sunwoo, you can sit down. I'm going to take my mask off but please don't freak out," Sunwoo was confused and albeit a little scared, but when y/n removed her mask he was in shock.
"Y/n?", despite his intial shock he was able to keep his voice down. Y/n could tell by the look on his face that he was surprised. Who wouldn't be after they were face to face with their favorite artist?
"This may seem weird but I saw your account and you seemed so nice and sweet, plus you're pretty cute so I wanted to get to know you. But I couldn't just message you through my account because for all I know you could be some crazy person-" she was cut off by Sunwoo
"It's fine really, I understand the caution. I'm just so blown away right now I don't know how to react."
"Well I would still hope we could go on this date," y/n smiled at Sunwoo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Thank you for walking me home, Sunwoo. You didn't have to," clutching her bag on her shoulder, she swayed her feet as she stood in front of him.
"I couldn't let you walk home in the dark. I didn't expect us to be out so late anyway."
"Yeah well I had a great time with you," y/n felt giddy, like a schoolgirl talking to her crush.
"Me too, it just feels so surreal. I can't believe any of this is happening."
"Well Sunwoo, please text me when you get home, and I'll let you know when you can take me on that second date," standing on her tiptoes she pecked his cheek and went inside, giggling to herself. Sunwoo stood there for a good two minutes before he regained his senses and started to walk home.

"You took all the pillows so I'm using you as one." + "You are crushing me right now." Red Brooks Bros ♥
Alright here’s a little Brains and Disaster verse for you. Please enjoy your child of a son!
Life still felt out of the ordinary even a year after Eden’s Gate fell apart. There was still a lot to clean up, most of the mess from their savior, and people that needed recovery from that time. The cold winter months didn’t help much with trying to finish putting the pieces all back together, but it did offer a chance for life to feel normal again. Today was one such occasion as Cat waited for the popcorn to start cooking, forced to make it the old fashioned way as no one liked the synthetic butter and it was no longer a good option for her to eat it at this point. It was movie night and nothing was going to stop that from happening even though it was only going to be two of them tonight.
The blast of cold air hit Cat as Wes stomped through the door brushing the snow off of his coat, goosebumps forming on her exposed skin in the tank top. “Take your shoes off at the door this time Wes,” she called out, finally hearing the popping of kernels.
Wes came into the kitchen shaking the melting flakes from his hair, a few sizzling as they hit the pot, “Just us tonight?” She nodded giving a light shake of the pot, Cat put her hands warding off some of the droplets that came for her, “Can I pick tonight then?”
“We have time for two,” she looked up to the window seeing the big flakes from the sky, “Maybe more if the snow keeps up like this.”
Wes leaned against the counter picking up one of the cocktail straws they kept around for him, “Might be best. Don’t think John and Raf’ll make it back from where they’re at.” He placed the end of the straw in his mouth.
She shifted the flannel pajama pants letting the folding to shorten them loose, “So long as they’re safe that’s all that matters,” the popping slowed as Wes made his way to the shelves of movies. “How much butter? Or do you just want plain this time?”
“Don’t matter much with the butter,” he looked through movies intently, “Just watch the salt. You made it too salty last time.”
She laughed, “If I remember correctly it was just fine and you asked for more.”
“Nah,” he pulled a few options from the shelf, “that didn’t happen. It was all you.”
She rolled her eyes grabbing the bowls and lemon juice, “Come on I got the bedroom all ready for us.”
“Thought that was a one time thing,” he teased, Cat bumping him into the wall. He gave a small laugh rubbing his upper arm, “Ow.”
“Don’t think I’m not afraid to tarnish your share of popcorn if you keep it up,” she warned, placing the bowls on the nightstand sitting on the edge of the bed. Wes jumped up, fanning the movies out, “You picked out some good ones tonight, Wes.”
He pointed to an Alfred Hitchcock movie, “Say we start with this one,” his finger moving to a musical, “then this one cause know you like it,” he pointed to the last movie, a slice of life romance movie, “End the night with this one.”
She picked up the last one, raising an eyebrow, “Why this one? You didn’t seem to enjoy it last time we watched it.”
He gave a shrug, “With ever’thing seems nice to see normal.”
She smiled nodding, “Then I approve of this plan,” she got up getting the DVD player set up with the movies, still seemed like such a unique find of their six disc player, while Wes got himself settled to sit against the headboard. Cat joined him creating a cushion system with the pillows, one she could use to eventually lie on her side as it always seemed to happen by the end of the first movie. Cat took the bottle of lemon juice, spraying it on her bowl of popcorn, Wes rolling his eyes shaking his head, “Wes, you know this is my thing. You need to stop being so surprised.”
“Not surprised, just weird still.”
She took a bite, “I’d say don’t knock till you try it but it’s even better with the extra butter microwave popcorn.”
He looked up in thought, “You haven’t been buyin’ much of it lately.”
She slowed her bites, “They say it's bad for you,” she shrugged, “So figure might as well stop eating it you know.”
He looked at her eyes narrowed, looking for any signs of what she was hiding, “You’re the most unhealthy of all us,” he hummed, “Don’t think that’s it.”
“You’re one to talk about being unhealthy,” she poked his stomach, “You hardly eat. If not for us you’d be nothing but bones. Not eating is just as unhealthy.”
He put his hands up in defeat, “Geez calm down. Just an observation is all.” He turned to face the movie again, eyes straying in her direction every now and then. Cat seemed to be her normal self but there was just something a bit different with her, especially with how she answered the last question she asked. Cat deflected like she did when she didn’t want to tell the truth and a lie would be too hard to make believable. By the time the movie was over, Wes got up taking their bowls with him, “Gettin’ a beer. You want some?”
She shook her head, “No. But the ice cream in the freezer would be amazing.”
“Any kind of drink,” he asked again, covering all his bases with her.
“No alcohol for me tonight Wes,” Cat said stretching out along the bed, “Just the ice cream. Oh, and some water.” He nodded leaving her in the room, grabbing what they needed. As he made himself a stronger drink, it started to occur to him that he hadn’t seen her drink at all the last few weeks. The bar was usually a common occurrence but it had been a while since he’d seen her even touch the stuff. He handed her the ice cream, placing the water on the nightstand. She looked so comfortable with all the pillows around her, leaving little room for him.
He frowned, “Where am I supposed to be?”
Cat looked at the bed, “Oh,” she pursed her lips, “That’s a very good question because I’m already very comfy.”
He climbed on the bed pushing her back so she was as close as she could be against the headboard, “Now since you took all the pillows,” he lightly patted her stomach before leaning against her, settling himself so his legs wouldn’t be in front of the tv, Cat laughing as he made himself comfortable, “I’m using you as one.”
She rolled her eyes running her fingers through his hair, “Fair is fair I guess. Just be careful okay?”
He looked up to her with his golden sympathetic eyes, “Cramps?”
She didn’t look his way, “Something like that,” she responded as she started up the musical. Her voice filled the room for some of the songs as Wes tried to put pieces together. Something seemed off with her and he was only just starting to realize it, but there were things wrong for almost two months now. Then again, Raf wasn’t entirely himself either, there were a few times he seemed to have drank more than normal, while Cat stayed sober despite having a few drinks. Their diets had changed a bit too, well mostly for Cat it didn’t seem that out of the norm for her husband.
By the intermission of the musical Cat looked at the clock, “Maybe we ought to call it quits with this one.” She yawned, “Getting kind of tired and I do want to watch the last movie with you,” another sign, she never felt frequently tired unless her mood went way down something that hadn’t been a problem. She patted Wes’ chest, “Here get up I have to go to the bathroom.” Wes watched as she left the room, his brain debating on if he should get to the bottom of this mystery now or….
No, now was the better option. He got up from the bed waiting near the door for her. She walked out, eyes widening in surprise seeing him stand there, cursing under breath as she clutched her chest, “Somethin’s up. Not just with you, but Raf too.”
She took a step to the side, “Don’t know what you’re talking about Wes. Think you’re getting too many ideas in your head,” she wave him off, taking a step forward.
“No,” he blocked her way into the room, “you two are up to something. I’m gonna find out.” He put his hands on his hips standing straight hoping to intimidate Cat.
She gave a nod, “Yeah you sure will Wes. Let me know when you do,” Cat pushed past him again.
He let out a breath as he let her take a step, “Didn’t want to have to do this.” He shook out his arms readying himself.
Cat turned to him confused, “Do what?” She asked before Wes put his arms around her letting her carry his weight. “Wes!”
“Tell me what’s wrong,” he said, pushing against her a bit.
“Wes! Stop it!” She pleaded, her knees starting to bend as he managed to make himself become more dead weight against her.
“I can’t,” a smile on his face as she came closer to the floor, “Gravity it’s increasing,” he proclaimed in a dramatic voice, as he pushed harder against her arms trying to keep him off of her.
“No it’s not you jerk!” He opened his mouth to quote more, “And no,” Cat huffed, “the same thing didn’t happen to you the last time.” Catlina finally fell to the floor Wes on top of her, she tried and failed to push him off of her, most of her arms trapped under his body. “Wes,” she whined, muffled by his shoulder, “Get off of me.”
He shook his head, “No.”
“Don’t be such a child,” she tried to roll out from under him, his arms wrapping around her tightly, her breathing starting to become restricted, “Wes! You’re crushing me right now!”
“Just tell me,” he repeated, his hands reaching for her waist to tickle her.
She gasped, “Don’t you dare!” Her chest hurt even more as he made her laugh and squirm under him, “Wesley Daniel Brooks! Stop this right now!”
He lifted his head just enough to look her in the eyes, an exaggerated frown, “Now who’s being mean?” He let himself fall against her, knocking the air out of her, “Just tell me.”
She shook her head, “I can’t!” Her laughing started up again, “I want to but I can’t. I’m sorry.”
“Not good enough,” her sides were starting to hurt and she felt her arms tire more with each second that passed.
She laughed, “Okay fine! Fine! But you gotta get off of me first,” he propped himself on his elbows looking down at her, “Like fully off of me so I can catch my breath.” She gave a light push as she brought herself to a sitting position. Wes stood, holding his hand out to her as she took deep breaths, “Thank you,” she said grabbing his hand. He watched her as she smoothed out her tank top and pants, inhaling deeply when she was done.
“So what’s up?”
She pointed a stern finger at him, “You can’t tell anyone else. I shouldn’t even be telling you but you damn near killed me.” She crossed her arms looking to the ground, “I’m pregnant.”
Wes’ eyes went wide, jaw dropping, “What?”
Catlina shrugged, running a hand through her hair, “Raf and I are going to have a kid.”
“Assume he knows right?” She nodded, “This new?”
She bit her lip, a blush coming to her cheeks, “No, not really.” She grabbed Wes’ hand seeing him start to turn sad, “We haven’t told anyone else Wes. In fact, we were planning on telling you next week, then everyone after that.”
He gave a slight tilt of his head, “How far ‘long are ya?”
“Almost three months,” her free hand instinctively went to her lower abdomen, “This is going to sound dumb but we waited becuase there’s a superstition in my family. Tell anyone outside of immediate blood family before three months and you’re gonna jinx it.” She gave a squeeze of his hand, “I’m sorry. I really wanted to tell you but I wasn’t sure how far that superstition went and I,” she shook her head, “I didn’t want anything bad to happen.” She looked up to his eyes, “I’m really sorry Wes. You’re the first person I’ve told other than Raf if that makes you feel any better.”
“Not even your dad or sisters,” he asked.
She shook her head, “No. We just started to get a better relationship going and I don’t know it seemed like too much to drop on them.” She glanced away from him, “How do you feel about it all though? Now that you know.”
“Bit sad you didn’t tell me sooner,” Wes took a breath, “but real happy for ya both. Truly. You always wanted this and it’s happening.” Cat smiled nodding, her eyes filling with tears, “So long you both are happy, that’s all that matters.”
Cat pulled him into a hug, “Thank you Wes. Next time you’ll be better kept in the loop, I promise.” He hugged her tightly lifting her from the ground briefly before putting her on the ground, “But Wes,” he looked at her serious expression, “You can’t tell anyone else. Don’t even let Raf know that you know. Act as surprised as you can when we tell you and John next week. Got it?” Wes gave her a smirk smiling, Cat holding out her pinky, “Promise me.”
Wes wrapped his pinky around Cat’s looking her dead in the eye, “I promise.” She nodded walking back to the bed, “So you gonna name ‘em after me?”
“Wes we don’t even know the gender,” Cat answered rolling her eyes as she made a spot on the bed for herself, Wes following suit.
“Wes could be gender neutral,” he argued.
“Wes Estrada dos Santos doesn’t really have a nice ring to it does it?” She laughed, letting herself lay against him.
Wes hit play on the movie, “I mean, could make it work.”
Catlina rolled her eyes, groaning, “This was a mistake already,” she looked up to him smiling, “Telling you that is.” Wes chuckled, keeping quiet as the movie started.
“Wait,” he said softly, “This mean I’ve to plan a shower now?”

New year new me.  Fuck that shit.  New year, new city, new school, same boring old life. Moving isn't my idea of an adventure, as my mom would like me to believe. My dad is a famous plastic surgeon who gives models gigantic fake butts for a living, just so they can go online and claim it's from doing their daily squats and drinking their fit tea.
My mom is a fashion designer and former model, when she's not working she's at home forcing kale smoothies down my throat and trying to explain to me the importance of a good skin care routine.  My parents both want me to follow in my moms footsteps, work hard, become a successful high fashion model, be famous. Just like them.  Moving to Texas, was all for me. Not that I wanted this. I'm going to be walking in Texas fashion week and modeling for a few designers here.
"Baby!  Are you ready for your first day?" My mom calls through the door of my bedroom.  "Yeah" I groan, opening my door.  "Oh, you're wearing that?" She asks.  I look down to my  crop top, ripped jeans, and white sneakers in confusion. This outfit is cute?  "What's wrong with it?" I ask.  "Well I just thought you'd want to wear that new Chanel dress I bought you the other day" she says.
"Mom, I want people to like me" I roll my eyes. "They will!" She nods. "I just love this school you're going to as well!"  "It's a private school for smart kids, I figured you'd want me in Barbie boot camp" I comment, walking down the stairs.  "Bye daddy"
"Bye Josette"
I hug my dad quickly as I grab a apple and my keys and walk out the door.  My anxiety kicks in a bit as I throw my backpack onto the passengers seat. Not anxiety about school, not yet. Just anxiety about driving there. I've lived in New York almost all my life,I start my car and notice a boy across the street getting into his car as well. He pulls out onto the road, and I follow his lead, My GPS takes me in the same direction as the boy, and I quickly realize he's going the same place as me.
Oh god this is so weird, it looks like I've been following him.
"Hi, I'm Josette sloan , today is my first day" I say.  "Ah yes! Your mom is Olivia Sloan " she smiles. "So here is your class schedule, and some other things you'll need. You first class is right down the hall, last door on your left"  "Thank you so much" I smile, taking the papers that she gave me and leaving the office. The hallways were busier as classes were about to start and everyone was rushing. I keep my head down as I walk through, making it to the last door on the left.  This felt much more comfortable. It's a small classroom with about 25 desks, only a little over half of them full.
"You must be.." the man trails off as he looks at the binder on his desk. "Josette"  "Yes" I say quietly.  "Go ahead and take a seat... Hmm. Next to Collins . Hey Misha can you raise your hand real quick" the teacher says. A boy with blue eyes sitting on top of his desk raises his hand and shoots me a small smile.  "And get off the desk, I don't need your fat ass breaking it" the teacher says and I can't help but let out a laugh.
Next class is math, which I'm very excited for. Not that anyone in my life cares, but I'm phenomenal at math, for some reason I pick it up very quickly. It's my self proclaimed super power.  I walk into the class and instantly feel uncomfortable when I see the long haired boy from across the street. ( like he had in Cybill)  I make sure to sit on the opposite side of the room from him, but that didn't stop us from making some seriously uncomfortable eye contact. We know we both saw each other this morning, we know we live next to each other, but it's just weird.  I love this class, and this teacher. The class is small, probably because it's such an advanced level, but I don't mind.  Lunch time comes and I uncomfortably make my way into the cafeteria.  This is the worst. Where do I even sit? I don't know anybody here.  "Hey American girl doll, come sit over here" I hear the blue eyed -maybe could call him a friend- guy say.  I walk over to the table and he makes room next to him for me.  "Meet the gang" he says gesturing to the table.  Which sat long haired neighbor boy.  "This is Tuwaine, Harry and Sam, yes they're my best friends , Jared , and Jensen "  So his name is Jensen.  "I'm Josie" I introduce myself to the table.  "So why Texas?" The boy who I think is Harry, asks me.  "What kind of dumb ass stupid question is that?" Tuwaine says and I laugh.  "No it's fine" I stop laughing. "I have fashion week in two months, and my mom is working with some new companies here"  "Fashion week? A model?" Harry questions. "Yeah" I answer vaguely, I take notice of the looks exchanging between Misha and Tuwaine.  "I knew you were a model, I mean come on look at you" Misha says.  "Dude" Jensen shakes his head, finally speaking up for the first time since I came to the table.  "What I'm just saying! She's pretty!" Misha says.  "Thanks?" I say laugh, eating my lunch.  "Ignore him, he's obnoxious" Jensen says.  "Will do" I laugh.  My day goes by pretty quickly, and it was great. My last few classes weren't too challenging and I feel like I've made a couple friends. Sadly they're all boys but It's harder to warm up to girls, especially when you're a model and your parents are famous.  I can't wait to see who I will be here.
