oh no decisions and being given freedom to talk about anything....

I just rlly care them lots <3 I could talk an essay about the ship, they're beloved to me. they're really sweet, and they make me smile lots!! they compliment each other rlly well as charas and as a dynamic-- I love how they both uplift each other's strengths and help them grow past their weaknesses. friends to lovers is a ship dynamic that I'm v soft for and I think they do it rlly well and respectfully,,, I sent a little ship meme I made ages ago last post that talks about a few silly headcanons but they just fulfill a lot of tropes that I love.

it's really interesting to me that they parallel each other a lot-- they both end up visibly questioning what they're doing and the team that they're a part of, but are trapped in it for different reasons. they're both kinda the one spot of normalcy for the other in Meteor-- which isn't a good environment for either of them to be trapped in. both of them seem pretty reluctant to battle the player (i.e. stuff like using gimmick sets, visible reluctance and dialogue surrounding fights), and only do so because of orders and obligations-- I get the feeling that the MC in a story instead of a game (and absolutely plan on capitalizing on this) would absolutely pick up on the fact that both of them never really... try. both of them just don't really ever want to fight you-- whereas some other characters like Blake, Zero, Fern, etc will pretty much always throw everything they've got. that along with them being really close in age (canonically! the exact ages are left ambiguous, as is the same for most other characters, but it's mentioned that they're very close in age) and they just are both really fun to talk about and to draw and write together. I love how they still are there for each other even when Meteor's no longer a thing and I love thinking about how much both of them finally having that freedom can help both their relationship and them as characters grow.

it's an AU but it's also pretty heavily canon-based in terms of characterization (although events diverge a lot from canon!) so I love the two of them in Margo's AU as well-- Martakace (Meteorshowershipping) is one of my fav ships along with Takace (Royalcourtshipping) rn <3

HI if you're here! i have SO many thoughts about martakace and MC/Ace/Taka as a polyship outside of Margo bc they're a power throuple hdfsdf. since Ace doesn't send their letter, now neither of them know where to go, and they end up leaving to the desert together. neither are really very prepared, and they're both kinda in a rush so they don't have many supplies beyond food and healing items and their backpacks. they can't use their PC of course since Terra would zero onto them in an instant so they only have the teams that they carry on them (Ace's is modified a little to split between the mons they share on other teams), although they miss their other Pokemon dearly.

they end up sleeping on the sand together one night and wake up to find Margo on the platform the next day and the reaction is panic initially. Margo's absolutely been able to tell that neither of them have really wanted to fight throughout the game and they see that these two people are panicked and unprepared and just. protec. Taka and Ace are panicked on the other hand and just think "okay if they're here then the others aren't far behind and then it's gameover for us." so they're a mix between terrified and betrayed and resigned. but then the three of them are traveling together and they're just both. confused. Taka and Ace are obviously very close with each other but here they're kind of questioning whether this is even the same person that they heard rumors of with meteor? and Margo calls them friends for the first time and it's kinda the start of both of them developing a sort of puppy love crush-- where it's kind of just that Margo is very cool and thoughtful and kind to them. their feelings for each other are obviously the kind of thing that's never been acted upon-- Margo encourages them to be more open with themselves as well as with each other-- so Taka and Ace end up getting together in Train Town after having a first kiss one night very late in their travels when the three of them are stuck on top of Teknite at night. Margo refuses to take the Gible when they're all in Sugiline and adopts a Trapinch instead, and doesn't take the sword either when the three of them are atop the tower.

Margo just encourages both of them to be more open-- Taka to be more confident, and Ace that it's okay to be vulnerable and to put themself first sometimes-- since they have a habit of neglecting themself in favor of worrying about others (such as Taka and Margo). Taka and Ace help each other grow and end up growing closer as friends due to being able to communicate more, and grow into not just being used to acting as stepping stones-- but instead wanting to actively help others and do things. there's a lot of other canon divergences-- Labradorra City+tournament and Victory Road are big ones due to both Ace and Taka being involved in that and in a relationship now, and their feelings for Margo growing more (they don't get together until postgame after Margo comes back from the New World, though, so it's slowburn on that end).

Hi there, glad to hear from you!

I'm gonna answer the last question first before I get to the prompts. Yes, ships with incest are absolutely allowed, as are villain ships, ships that break up or add to canon couples, and other such taboo combinations. We're not putting restrictions on which characters can be shipped together for this event, we just ask that appropriate tags (fully spelled out without asterisks please!) are added to anything you submit so people's filters can catch them as needed.

Onto the prompts!

For "mapping the polycule," we mean fics that deal with the extended network of "my boyfriend's partner's wife's girlfriends" — whether that's drawing a literal map or explaining all the relationships in a group or just trying to remember who that person with the green hair came to the picnic with.

For "scheduling as romance," tell us about logistics! More partners means more people to coordinate with when you're trying to plan dates, appointments, and who's picking up the kids — how does your ship show love through the way they make time for each other?

The free day was included for any fic ideas that don't fit neatly on one of the other days — or maybe just took a little extra time to finish. 😉 Since this is a multifandom exchange, there's probably tons of fandom-specific stuff that we didn't think of, but also: coffeeshop AUs, getting together fics, AUs where they're all in a band, pulling a heist with the polycule, saving the world, or just trying to decide where to go for dinner before everyone's hangry!

ok a few questions about the ot4 kids!

What is the birth order? which sibling do each of them like the most? Are there any sibling rivalries? Who's each one's birth parents (sorry if this question is offensive, i realize all 4 are their parents, but i'm curious who inherited what from whom)

and lastly do they have nicknames? :D

asdfhaksk Thank you for the ask! I only didn't Really specify some of these things since they're included in stuff on my ao3 and I worry about boring people by being repetitive, but I'm So Happy to talk about them.

But uh. I also can't shut up, so here's another cut. (Extremely long, you have been warned)

So. Lorenz and Hilda have been married for 7 years by the time they start becoming romantically entangled with Fae and Claude (then married for some months, nearly a year). Hilda and Lorenz already have Halvard (the eldest) (nickname Hal) and Lorencia (nickname Lori) by then. Fae and Claude have their twins next, Nader and Geralt.

I debated for a long time after this about whether the next child I wrote would have Claude and Hilda as bio parents. At the time, I was still relatively alone in polyshipping in this fandom, and I was too afraid to follow through. I was picturing what people would say in-universe and to me specifically when I was already liberally using the block button for other nonsense; but there's someone who ships byleth x claude x lorenz x hilda making art in the Lorenz zine of them and all their fankids and it's SO FUCKING CUTE. I don't regret my family interpretations, but I am envious that they have that.

Anyway! After the twins, Fae and Claude conceive again, Sadaf, and as I've given Fae the capability to tell relatively early if they're pregnant (Byleth / My Unit having no heartbeat. I've written Fae as being shocked and Aware when suddenly they have one), when Fae and Claude tell Lorenz and Hilda, they readily conspire to have another child, to bring their families closer together, assuming having children so close in age would have some effect on this, similar milestones and just the means and desire for this sort of love. Also, I just picture Lorenz as the sort of only child who wants a larger family. So that's Baldovin (bullied with the nickname Baldy, until Sadaf starts calling him Vinnie).

Ten years younger than Fae and Claude's twins, they conceive Simon. He's unplanned, and Fae's 46 by then. He's a little sickly as a child. Spinal problems through life. And the only one of the kids in post-canon who grows up with four parents. When he's 11 years old Halvard is 27, and taking over as head of house Gloucester so that Lorenz is being (forcibly, but he's fine) retired to the palace in Derdriu as Advisor to the Crown; Hilda's held a title at the court in Derdriu for far longer than this though, because in her and Lorenz's paired ending it talks about her setting up trade schools? Because of her crafting? But I like her illustrating Seteth's children books and being Aware of what Cyril went through and instead name her as Minister of Children and Youth Services, and having helped establish something like a school board; which is hilarious that we all want something like this — smiled BIG about this part of your big bang piece for Yuri.

All together the kids look like:

Halvard is about 3 years older than Lorencia.

Lorencia is about 3 years older than the twins.

The twins are about 2 years older than Sadaf.

Sadaf is about 2 months older than Baldovin.

Baldovin is about 7 years older than Simon.

Three bullet points in this fic read:

When Halvard was twelve, he accidentally caught a glance of a stolen kiss between Claude and his father. When he approached him on it, Lorenz was at the same time grateful and resentful that he was alone to have to try and have this conversation with his son. He did a surprisingly good job of it. A few months later, Halvard approached the monarchs and his parents to say they should be less subtle about it. They crowded in on each other's space far more in the company of their children afterwards.

It’s not one conversation that the ot4 has with any of their children afterwards which attempts to explain the nature of their relationship, but rather several conversations over the course of their lives. By the time Simon is an adult, however, it’s barely even a conversation. He sort of has to come into himself raised by four parents, and the sight is no longer striking to the royal attendants or the people of Omoya.

There have been rumors about the Monarchs and their indiscretion and perceived promiscuity since before the birth of Sadaf. They never figured out how to address them, but when Lorenz and Hilda eventually moved into the palace in Derdriu, they finally took Halvard's advice, practically daring anyone to bring attention to the affection they shared (just casual pda, like hand holding, a chaste kiss goodbye, etc.).

Also uhhhhhhhhh Omoya is the name I gave to the allied lands of Fodlan and Almyra (and technically Brigid who joined their whole Thing like 13 years after the initial political mess).

Halvard is a little too old for rivalries with his younger siblings, so he tells himself; his time at the academy would have been Before them. I actually picture him having a rivalry with Ashe and Caspar's daughter, Keegan.

Lorencia would have been riddled with anxiety about going to the Academy, but by the time the twins are going at age 17, she's encouraged to join them. Nader and Geralt are more "partners in crime" than rivals, but their relationship would go through rough patches of aging and differences at the Academy, and Lorencia being more prepared than she thought she was would frustrate Nader who'd have a harder time with the studies that she'd excel at.

Sadaf and Vinnie are friends — they're siblings — who stand up for each other and goad each other on. And Vinnie finds a rivalry at their time at the Academy in Sylvain and Felix's adopted daughter, Elspeth.

Simon holds himself to too high of standards, being so much younger than the people he loves and looks up to. He wants to be Ready and Capable and is eager to prove himself. He grows out of it.

I'm not sure what you mean when you ask who has favorites. There are certainly siblings they get along more strongly with: the twins, Sadaf and Vinnie, Lorencia and Simon, Halvard and Lorencia. But I wouldn't say that any of them like one more than the other, either between them or from the perspective of their parents. aksdfkas

Also I didn't know where to fit this in there but like the rest of my oc's, my ot4 kids are bi unless stated otherwise: Geralt is a gay he/they.

Have some more kids from their setting. (I have given these kids far less thought. They don't have siblings, you just get to see a young and then Academy-age version of themselves.)

Keegan is Ashe and trans Caspar's daughter. She's a menace and keeps Halvard on his toes during their time at the Academy. Halvard is not as sheltered as Lorenz was, but he's still a little proper for Keegan's taste.

Dimitri is alive and well though the Kingdom has been dissolved and believes him to be deceased. He married Marianne under an assumed last name, and this is their son Blythe. He is polite and awkward and is at the Academy at the same time as Lorencia, Nader and Geralt.

Fernan is Mercedes and Dedue's son (t4t powercouple). He's soft spoken with a big smile and a bigger heart. He's also at the academy at the same time as Lorencia, Nader and Geralt. He and Geralt can have a little romance, as a treat.

Elspeth is Sylvain and trans Felix's adopted daughter and goes to the Academy at the same time as Sadaf and Vinnie. I figured between Sylvain, Miklan, Annette and Gilbert, red hair was a fair choice for a Faerghan. She's a Fraldarius (and in line to be a duchess). Because of recurring, I feel like this says a lot about her. asdkfjhgasdjkhfg

first thing's first: everyone in this ad should be between the ages of 22 and 27 with the exception of persephone who should be 22 - 24 and demeter who should be 25 - 27. genderbending is okay with me as long as you run it by me first because i don't want to have a million girls, i want it to be fairly balanced. everything said below should be taken with a grain of salt meaning if you put your own spin on it that is totally fine, the inspo is what matters.

additionally, only one or two characters should be from chicago, because the group is a group of people who are imports to the city and the life they have here so please do with that idea what you will. i did link to some cool pinterest boards with some inspo for a modern take on all of the different gods if you want to look at those but again, it's just for inspiration, please please please make every single one of these guys your own.

now, for the actual ad, basically these guys are something of a found family. through their jobs, parties, socializing, exes, currents, whatever they all met and it was almost instant, that connection, that 'feels like i've known you my whole life' thing that came over them. and so they stuck together, even if it was just a group text or once a year dinner party, they've all stayed in touch ever since despite distance, work, time constraints, and anything else that came between them.

the first pair that met and really started it all were aphrodite and ares. they were on again off again, always a problem with time and where their lives were at, but the love is there. they've been friends since their time in school together and it never let up, that care. the rest of the group swear one day aphrodite will find a way to settle down and be with ares but for now ares deals with the on again off again because sometimes is better than never. and then aphrodite found god here, and another one, and their interconnections grew the group and now here they are, family without being blood, with ties running through them, cutting and caressing them all the same.

from there, feel free to just get with me and we can make it work. i'm going to be making a ship developer for them (including a timeline because it seems necessary so that we have some idea on who, what, when, and how) but the basis is a found family plot with interconnections that made this many people come to mean so much to one another. from there? go wild, get with me on any questions, and please have fun with it. some suggestions for interconnections are below in the applicable boxes but if you don't want to use them just talk to me.

This year thus far

I'mma be real with myself. This year was shit, point blank period. No, this wasn't my year like I had wanted it to be. Started this year with a car I wrecked and it took me til July to get the money together to get it fixed. On the flip side I didn't go into any debt getting it fixed, so whoo I guess?

But then I rented the room from the shitty land lord and that was a disaster in and of itself. I self sabotaged somethings and accidently ended up alienating myself from my choosen family. So now I'm afraid to contact them. I'm just the kind of person who goes quiet when too many things start to go wrong. I deal with it on my own as best I can, it's how I had to deal with things as a kid.

My momster dies, goes to see her husband and bitchster. Her husband invalidates her abuse toward me and forces me to take a pic with bitchster. I was respectful enough to realize he was grieving and didn't cuss him out.

We get a shitty team lead at work who's essentialy useless and can't even do her job. Starts problems with almost everyone and plays favorites. She's still useless but I just came to accept it.

Nah, this year doesn't end with me in a relationship or falling in love. That shits for the movies. Well, we'll say polyship, I still have no idea how polyamory will play out in my life. *shrug*

There are no opportunities. I'm a picky person and I realized it takes me a lot to really like someone. I see everyone as individuals and not options. So who knows when someone I'm really into will show up again. Probably not for awhile, as that's just my luck.

There was only one person I did like for awhile. Still do. Oddly enough my anxiety was managable yesterday and I felt much better. I felt relieved for some odd reason. My brain has finally settled down and realized it's okay to have this crush.

So while it's still there, I'm starting too pretty much put it behind me. It's harmless and harms no one.

So far, I've just started try and make friends. It's going decently, granted I'm struggling to get matches and I feel it's because of my pics. They're not that bad though. Bleh I don't know.

Sure the beginning and middle of this year was crap. Again I didn't end it with a relationship or falling in love or having sex. But I've come to a realization those things aren't all there is to life and I'll eventually get there. I've been working on temping down the irritation it nets me at not having had those things yet.

I'm just really going to have to put myself out there next year. For now my goal is to go into the new year with no debt, a good relationship with my choosen family and some good friendships. Those things are simple and don't stress me out.

I also just want a positive body image for myself. I hate the way my body looks, I'd look so much better if I were skinny. I weigh too much for my height and it's probably the cause of my back pain and knee pain.

It's so much harder to care for yourself when you don't like yourself as is. I don't know how I'll deal with this yet. I want to live a long life and in order for that to happen I gotta take care of myself. It's so hard though and I'm not so sure when I'll start to like my body or myself for that matter.

Also I'm very tempted to find someone to have sex with so people can stop asking if I'm a virgin. That's the question that's asked when I tell them I've never had a bf. One person asked if I masturbate and I felt so uncomfortable. I'm obviously not going to pretend I have any sexual experience.

Granted I think the concept of virginity is really stupid. You don't lose anything when you have sex, you just gain a new experience. It can go bad/good depending on who it's with. I do hope my experience is decent, I don't think my first time will be good. So I'm settling for a decent experience.

I want to get it over with so people can stop acting like it's a big deal to still be a virgin at this age. I was never trying to save myself for that special person, I just never had the chance or when I did I self sabotaged. It's just life. All I need is an attraction and for them to prove I can trust they won't hurt me and they'll stop when I tell them too.
