Alright! for this shrimpo sunday we have my favorite shrimp! the Pistol Shrimp!1!!

the alphaeidae or pistol shrimp or snapping shrimp (or as i like 2 call em cowboy shrimp :] ) are a family of shrimps characterized for their asymmetrical claws, the biggest one which is capable of causing a LOUD snapping sound, *thanks to the phenomenon of cavitation!!! (mantis shrimp can also cause this phenomenon!!) that happens when the motionless pressure of a liquid (water in this case!) its below the liquid's vapor pressure that form tiny vapor filled bubbles on the liquid, when these bubble experience the higher pressure of the liquid they collapse1!! and generate shock waves (that are literally boiling water thanks to the amounts of pressure) this way being able to knock over their prey! all thanks to the mechanism on their claws!!!*

these funky guys can move its claws at an amazing speed of 97km/hr!, this species haves about 38 or moree genera, the 2 most common would be alpheus and synalpheus, with species of the number of well over 250 and 100,

Most snapping shrimp dig burrows and are common inhabitants of coral reefs, submerged seagrass flats, and oyster reefs. While most genera and species are found in tropical and temperate coastal and marine waters, Betaeus inhabits cold seas and Potamalpheops is found only in freshwater caves!

When in colonies, the snapping shrimp can interfere with sonar and under the sea communication. The shrimp are considered a major source of noise in the ocean! wich is pretty epic i think

🦐.Some pistol shrimp species share burrows with goby fish in a mutualistic symbiotic relationship. The burrow is built and tended by the pistol shrimp, and the goby provides protection by watching out for danger. The goby, having better vision, alerts the shrimp of danger using a characteristic tail movement, and then both retreat into the safety of the shared burrow. This association has been observed in species that inhabit coral reef habitats.

🦐.Eusocial (its the type of kinda society that ants n bees have) behavior has been discovered in the genus Synalpheus. The species Synalpheus regalis lives inside sponges in colonies that can number over 300. All of them are the offspring of a single large queen shrimp. The offspring are divided into workers who care for the young and predominantly male soldiers who protect the colony with their huge claws. (I find it very peculiar how i can't really find any information of other pistol shrimp genus that haves this cuality so this is pretty cool i think)

🦐.Pistol shrimp have the ability to reverse claws. When the snapping claw is lost, the missing limb will regenerate into a smaller claw and the original smaller appendage will grow into a new snapping claw. Laboratory research has shown that severing the nerve of the snapping claw induces the conversion of the smaller limb into a second snapping claw. The reversal of claw asymmetry in snapping shrimp is thought to be unique in nature.

The bad luck is that it always ruins your image of him. But that's okay with him. He always manages to win it back.

When he presses a kiss to your forehead, it is such a shock that for a second you cannot move, before relaxing into the touch. He cares about you; it's so easy to forget that.

❤ Your shyness is a plus to him - the fact that you don't talk to strangers makes his life so much easier.

❤ It also means that you're less likely to 'call him out' or blow up on him if he pushes your boundaries.

❤ He can be dominant with you; demeaning.

❤ And he likes to be physically close to you all the time. He presses his body against yours as if he's trying to melt into you.

❤ He sometimes does the imagine how sad you will be if you leave me manipulation thing but it's not really on purpose he's literally like wow if they leave me they'd be so sad and unprotected what will they do :((.

❤ He has these crazy eyes that scares anyone away.

❤ Sometimes he has the audacity to show PDA in public, and as much as you try to push you away he will always pull you into his arms and hold you to him with all of his might.

❤ I don't imagine, if he's insecure and you're out and about, that he'd call your phone. I think he'd literally just go out and find you (he does have your location - whether you know it or not).

❤ He is incredibly obsessed with doing things like making you breakfast or taking care of you while you're sick. You being so... dependent on him makes him love you even more.

Okay! So, I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS EPISODE!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍

The CARLOS ANGST!!! Immaculate 🥰🥰❤️😍😍😤😤😤 (in a good way) 😭😭😍😍❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰

Now, this review will probably be short (hopefully - and also because I might have my eye on writing something 👀. . . Maybe Carlos combined with spring break has done it for me xDD), but rest assured I adored it all :))

Well, okay, maybe not ALL of it - let's get into that :))

For a little bit, lol.

Anyway!! Owen. Eh, not my favorite storyline ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I've honestly even had ones this season that I prefer. But, it wasn't horrible. I mean, c'mon, we got Catherine c a l l i n g h i m t h e f r i c k o u t, yes, icon, even if she's not my favorite, we got some Mateo, Tommy, Paul, AND TK shoved in there at some point (Judd too, obviously, but my point is we saw him at other points :)) ), so that was nice :D. Not much Marjan ://. But, I did love her being there in the first bit, even if it wasn't for much :)). I miss her and I love her <33. And poor girl to have to see that :((. Any of them, obviously, I'm just talking about her right now lol. She doesn't deserve it, and none of them do :'( 😭😭.

Anyway! PAUL :DD. Literally my reaction lol. Glad we got to see a little bit of how he's doing :)), makes sense to do a follow-up, but this episode was already jam-packed (mostly with Owen 🙄🙄 - but again I say, at least he got put into his place 😌😌 twice xDD). Still very happy to see my boy though :DDD. I love him <33. Also, as I saw someone else mention, yesss!! His concern for Owen 🥰🥰. Even when he won't take care of himself lol. Also, him and Tommy ALSO calling Owen out, for various things XDD. Beautiful.

And, as a plus to the Owen storyline, we got to see a dead pig :D. The threat mostly is the fun part :)). That's the second- well, I guess third, since I just said Tommy and Paul did xDD, time somebody out Owen in his lace- . . . place 😌😌😌. Obviously it's not GOOD, and kind of annoying it's him, but still: epic :)). And also ~ drama ~ so, lol.

Overall: I loved this episode! We got to see a little bit of everyone - except Nancy. 😒. Anyway! We got a Carlos storyline, AND a Grace storyline, and the Owen plot wasn't horrible either! Plus, it had the high points of his friends and others taking him down a peg, or trying to anyway, even through threats :)). And, uh, even if we don't like those >:(. No threats. Bad. Doo dee doo. . . But I'm just saying I think it's telling that I put >:) at first. That's all I'm saying!

Lol, anyway, I loved the episode. Not to even mention the background TK :)), and the RYDERS!! MMH, love them <33. And really, I can't deny Carlos was looking hot xDD <33. And also adorable lol <33 xD. Mostly because of his hair :') (happy). Ahh. Such a good boy :). Not like, in a weird way, just- idk like a blorbo kind of. I imagine they see the others and what not on social media or whatever, like Instagram, since they swapped some of those, and maybe a few (PLATONIC idk it's just kinda usually a romantic thing so I'm covering my bases, making sure xDD) phone numbers, but still, lol. Soo, yeah! I really loved the episode :DD. Even though it's hard to choose, definitely one of my favorites!! :DDDD! It's up there somewhere :))).

8 // One year

Uhm hi. 

Has it been a year already, lol? I know, little me. I have been neglecting this blog for quite some time now and honestly I knew that. I just didn’t want to face reality.. my reality by writing things down: my problems, regrets, insecurities all of them. It felt disgusting just aknowledging them so I avoided confrontation. But hey, in my defense, covid has been going on the whole year and 2020 was a big fat mess. So many things happened, changed, escalated and barely had the time and energy and strength to face all those problems and changes. 

2020 was gonna be THE year, i said. So many times. Trying to tell myself that there’s no need to be scared. No need to back down, because everyone goes through high school graduation, university, adulthood. It’s completely normal to panic a bit because in the end you’re gonna manage. You’re capable of so many great things. I told myself, or rather lied to myself? I don’t even know at this point. 2020 was memorable. Yes. But in a good way? aboslutely not! :’) And just a short disclaimer. I know how damn serious the virus is, but let me just rant about my life for once, because it’s hard on me, too.

Schools just suddenly closed down 2 weeks before my graduation. My friends and my whole grade in general did not get to experience the legendary “last week” where we’d prank the whole school. Everyone before us did, though. Pretty unfair. I mean we went to school for so many years and that was gonna be our HIGHLIGHT! Marking our GRADUATION. Making epic MEMORIES. Well, fuck that, I guess. Didn’t happen! :D Instead, we got 1 month quarantine where we had to study for finals. For unsure finals. For “we don’t know if you have to take exam yet” - finals. But we had to study, study for finals that may not even happen. That were some horrible ass weeks of studying, crying, panicking, stressing out, questioning myself, more crying and a lot of anime, lmao. And then it was May and I took my exams and I did pretty okay-ish. It wasn’t the best I could’ve done but I mean, considering the situation back then and how lazy I really am, it was okay. At least, for me... kind of? Honestly speaking, I knew it was bad. My grades used to be GREAT but now they were just good but for my parents that meant failed. And did they not hide their disappointed in that, no. They actually went ahead and told me in my face how absolute horrible my finale grades were and that theyre absolutely not satisfied with them. Thanks, mom. It’s not like I didn’t know that. Sorry for not being able to go into Med school like U wished. But it was hard on me, too. Comparing myself to my friends who despite this damn situation still managed to get the perfect score in every damn subject. Am I even allowed to use the pandemic as an excuse or is it really just me who sucks at everything. It’s not like not being able to go outside without mask and 1.5m social distancing was helping me in any way. It’s not like the constans pressure of my parents wasn’t enough. If not Med School, then Law, they said. And funny enough, I could’ve gone there but then suddenly remembered how I applied to Psych School in December 2019, whoops. Why, you ask? Because my mom already pressured me into looking up universities in goddamn 2019 and so I went ahead and applied to a school in aneighboring country, because going as far as possible was basically the aim. Psych was never my dream, I mean yeah, it’s super interesting (and spoiler: I am enjoying studying it a lot.) but I never actually considered a profession in that area. Not because I didn’t see myself there, but I didn’t see myself ANYWHERE at all. I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I had no passions, goals or dreams. Sounds sad, but the Internet assured me, I wasn’t only one so thumbs up to us guys. Anyway, so I applied to that University and in the middle of finals I got accepted, suprisingly! Didn’t expect that and for sure didn’t remember that LMAO. I told my parents and they were not pleased. My dad couldn’t understand why I wanted to study Psychology ??? The fuck u wanna do with that, he asked. And I didn’t know what to answer, because hell no, I don’t know, bro. I just applied to move out from home. Fun fact: my household is not that toxic, just stereotypical asian strict parents who love the idea of med school a little too much. But I still went there, even if they disagreed but I mean they cannot change the fact that my grades weren’t good enough for med school, and even if could’ve gone to Law school, I DECLINED. 100% sure I’m not made to defend anyone in court. Probably woulda start crying or something.. 

And so I graduated, had a weird graduation ceremony in our P.E hall (?? idek lmao) and went to university 2 months later in september. Funny story. LMAO. Seriously, things happened in such a fast pace that I wasn’t able to properly accept the fact that I am no longer a high school student, and just started my new path?!?!?!?! Wtf?? stop!? Months and Months went by and I was emersed in studying and exams and deadlines. And all of that online. Via Zoom. Great. Nice University student life. No parties, no real life lectures, no making friends in the cafeteria or any sort of actual experiences like those. Great. Second lockdown, and third lockdown - oh there’s a vaccine! Yey! Oh no, wait. There are mutation of the virus. Not great. :’) And that my friends was 2020. The year I turned 18. What a wonderful start into adulthood <3 

And now, it’s already 2021. And tomorrow I turn 19. And im fucking scared. And sad. 1. Scared because I don’t wanna age and become old and knowing i havent accomplished one single thing in life and instead rather than turning 19 i turned into a failure and 2. Sad because I’m 18, do not have a drivers license, never went clubbing for adults, graduated in the most disgusting and sad way possible (and most unmemorable way i dont even wanna think about that musty gymnasiums hall lmao) and pretty much did nothing cool in my 18th life and thats just how my young adult life’s gonna be! :DDD nice guys. 

Ok, this sounds pretty depressive and petty and sad and lowkey annoying but idk how i am supposed to sugarcoat that.... if i find a way, i’ll come back but until then, stay safe

Haha wow this wound up being pretty long. If anyone who reads all this shit finds something they disagree with by all means, tell me. My opinions aren’t facts, I like hearing other viewpoints.

Well, the launch line up sucks complete ass, but that’s to be expected. I mean when the fuck was the last time something had a GOOD launch lineup? The Dreamcast?  I’ll go over what I think of all the games so far, firstly:

Nintendo actually gets everyone’s attention. Positive buzz, for once. And THIS is what they show? And it’s not even a goddamn INCLUDED GAME? It’s not even a GAME! Who the fuck is this for? Even if you look at if from a “I’m a hot young millennial who doesn’t enjoy video games, AKA Nintendo’s current target demographic” perspective, why the FUCK would you spend 350 united states dollarydoos to buy a Switch and this game when you can probably just download all the shit “games” on your phone for free?? What kind of goddamn “selling point” is “you don’t even need to look at the screen :DDD” why WOULD I BUY THAT WHY WOULD ANYONE BUY IT, IT SCREAMS “FREE TECH DEMO WITH THE GAME ALA WII SPORTS” WHY

I keep hearing that Ultra Street Fighter 2 is 40 bucks which is way too much fucking money for Street Fighter 2 with two palette swap characters with a few new moves but hey it’ll almost certainly be better than SFV so there’s that

Fire Emblem Warriors is going to be a goddamn Awakening/Fates fest, including some people from Marth’s game, Roy, Ike, and like, Sigurd or something so they can pretend they give a shit about people who’ve stuck with the franchise. They got fucking weird with some of the Hyrule Warriors picks (I don’t think a single fucking person saw bug girl coming) so maybe I’ll be wrong. Please let me be wrong. Fire Emblem really lends itself to be a musou title please don’t fuck it up PLEASE

Super Mario Odyssey looks good and I’m legitimately excited for it, New Donk City looks fucking WEIRD, seeing “real” humans but I feel like they were going for that? Sandbox Mario games are a safe bet on being great, I ain’t worried. Also Bowser looks fucking great. I like this Bowser.

Splatoon 2 looks like more of what Splatoon was, which is a great thing. The Splat Dualie looks really fun to use even though I’m probably just gonna stick with the roller like the scrub that I am. More customization is great but I might just stick with the twintails, hairwise. Xenoblade 2: Hello, God? It’s me, Miku. Please tell me that Xenoblade 2 having a PEGI rating and not an ESRB rating means NoE is handling the localization and not the Treehouse, I’d like the game to you know, actually resemble the original a bit and not be full of EPIC OUTDATED MEEMS XDD
