years go by... i still read books...

1. Best Book You’ve Read So Far in 2023? moby dick! i totally did not expect to like this dusty tome so much but it was just too perfect a mix of tropy revenge tale, sea adventure mockumentary, and making stuff up and putting it into categories that caused pleasant vibrations in my neurodivergent brain. i have watched so many whale documentaries after reading this, you guys have no idea🐳

2. Best Sequel You’ve Read So Far in 2023? flamefall is the second book in the aurelian cycle and it’s the best sequel i’ve read so far this year. the addition of a slow burn mm master/servant story line improved things considerably, not to mention that it was my favorite character’s time to shine. this series is sooo good, please read it guys you won’t regret it i swear🙏

(ngl i’m a bit annoyed that fourth wing, this fireborne sjm-ified, is doing numbers out there and meanwhile there’s no fandom for the aurelian cycle to speak of😒)

also i simply have to mention defekt, book two of litenverse. i found the first book quite boring despite it’s shortness but the sequel has a sad lil guy🥺. highly recommend for fans of black mirror, severance or the murderbot diaries. you don’t reeeally need to read book one btw, i think you can just read the description and then jump straight to the good stuff

3. New Release You Haven’t Read Yet, But Want To? i want to read witch king but i keep putting it off cause everything i hear about it sounds suspiciously like *american author does mdzs* and idk how i feel about that😬

4. Most Anticipated Release For Second Half of 2023? i’m looking forward to system collapse the most bc it’s gonna be set chronologically after network effect and it’s longer than the other murderbot novellas too. very excited to see murderbot and art bicker again hehe

5. Biggest Disappointment? ig it’s the warrior’s apprentice😬 many people recced the vorkosigan saga to me as “the lymond chronicles in space” but based just on this first(-ish) book i have to say miles is uhhh,, not lymond😐 lymond’s key traits are that he’s queer and a cunt and baby miles is simply not that (yet). of all the other books that people mentioned on my overcompetent scheming bastard post this was the last one i hadn’t read so i was a bit disappointed that it didn’t pull me in like the lymond chronicles. however, of all the books mentioned there it’s also the only series i can see myself continuing any time soon so. it wasn’t all too bad ig🤷‍♀️

i was also somewhat disappointed by assassin’s apprentice but i will make myself push through the realm of the elderlings just bc i’m so intrigued by the fool👀

6. Biggest Surprise? apart from the life changing experience that was moby dick i gotta admit i didn’t expect to like the goblin emperor, what with it being one of those cozy hopepunk fantasies where people are nice and decent to each other🙄 but it really did grow on me by the end, it indeed made me feel cozy and soothed. now i wanna try katherine addison’s older darker stuff that was apparently so controversial she had to change her pen name or smth👀🤭  

7. Favorite New Author? so i read another book by christopher rice and can confirm that he’s now one of my favorite authors. the man’s early 2000s gay thrillers are very melodramatic and refreshingly juicy - you can really tell they were published in ye olden pre-twitter times

8. Newest Favorite Character? cyrano savinien hercule de bergerac. after just reading that first act where he monologues about his nose for three pages straight and then spends all the money he has to hijack a theater and cause a scene by duelling a guy on stage while insulting him in ballad form i thought wow but this is one of my sexy fucked up guys who like to swish their swords and run their mouths! please enter the mind rotation chamber, monsieur🙌

9. Newest Fictional Crush? power sur eater🐉 you guys are sleeping on the aurelian cycle and on the Glory and Tragedy of My Boy who has done nothing wrong ever in his life and i love him😭 seriously, if you’d like to watch a character like draco malfoy go through jaime lannister’s arc you gotta read this series

also csevet aisava? the guy who put sexy in bureaucracy?? it’s a crime that he and maia didn’t kiss tbh

💕Best Ship💕 the relationship of griff and delo in the aurelian cycle was SO dramatic and full of rawest scenes! kinda reminded me of captive prince at times, bc of the whole master/servant element. and the ending? “i will grow old in love, let them sing of others”?? i am Emotion🥺

10. Book That Made You Cry? furysong made me cry my eyes out like every ending to a ya series should. have i mentioned you should read the aurelian cycle btw? but also both moby dick and cyrano de bergerac made me laugh AND cry as only really good books do. there’s a part in moby dick about seeing whales in mountains and stars that made me remember i am a human being and was a small and happy human being once - like that scene in ratatouille when anton ego tastes ratatouille and the nostalgic memories hit him and he becomes not evil anymore. that was nice but i cried like a little bitch😭

11. Book That Made You Happy? re-reading twittering birds never fly without skipping all the yakuza plot scenes made me realize how hilarious this manga actually is! yashiro can obviously crack a joke but this time i discovered the comic relief goldmine that is nanahara

Favorite Review You’ve Written This Year? so this year i actually started reviewing stuff on goodreads for the first time and it’s quite fun and really useful for refreshing your memory on what you thought of a book. i try to go for short and witty over in depth and analytical so i suppose the best examples of the reviews i have written so far would be the ones of moby dick and the goblin emperor

Most Beautiful Cover? the og red cover of fireborne slaps! the revolutionary red? the minimalist black dragon? the main characters’ profiles formed by its wings?? talented brilliant show stopping. idk who made the decision to redesign the covers after the first book but that decision was utterly stupid🤨

What Books Do You Need To Read By The End of The Year? i need to finish some series (the diviners, the dreamhealers, the broken earth), then like i said i want to read witch king and also i’m doing the classics challenge again so i have to at least finish reading roxelana and re-read the picture of dorian gray (the uncensored edition👀). i have looked up my old mid year tags and was pleased to discover that i since have managed to read all the books mentioned there EXCEPT for you love me which has been a staple in my reading plans since 2021 so i’m gonna put it on this list again to honor the tradition lmao

overall i have to say my reading year is going well but i still miss the exhilaration of discovering new books worth obsessing over like it kept happening in 2019-2021 with the secret history, captive prince, all for the game, mdzs and lymond. last year i used to think i wasn’t doing a good job of finding books like this but now i’m starting to suspect that i have actually read ALL the good books and there aren’t any left :( but that’s absurd right?? or isn’t it?! anyways tell me what you’ve been reading so that i can maybe get intrigued by something and prove myself wrong on this🙏📚

Still making my way trudgily thru Vinland saga and thinking a bit about what makes it feel so much more authentic and admirable than a huge amount of similarly themed preachy pop media (artistic sermons about how violence is not the answer). The example in the forefront of my mind is the civil rights arc from the umbrella academy s02, which I was watching pre-breakup with my ex. The good place can fit this mould at times too

I think the fundamental answer is that a lot of competing preachy pacifist propaganda is really selling a sort of complacency and self-congratulation. The height of morality is a moderately intensified version of well-adjusted suburban existence—maybe one that’s more politically involved, maybe one where you don’t call the cops much/ever, maybe one where you’re a bit ahead of the curve on social inclusion and conscientious consumption. But, once you’ve purged it of some unfortunate socially backward residue, a saint looks basically smth like you, the dignified and well-reared middle class liberal

VS refuses to let you indulge this fantasy, vigorously. It repudiates the idea at every step. Some examples [spoilers]:

The heroes are men who have committed or negligently failed to resist inexcusable acts, repeatedly and at mass scale. Thus they cannot present pacifism as a promised means of resting assured of their moral superiority; indeed, especially the protagonist makes it clear that he cannot preside over violent judgment precisely bc he is conscious of his guilt

In one of the most beautiful animanga scenes I’ve ever read/watched, the work viciously attacks the values of family and personal loyalty. Particular “loves” like those between parent/child or husband/wife are not even love at all, they are mere prejudice and favouritism, no different from servile courtiers debasing themselves before a king while exploiting their social inferiors. This is, obviously, a bad fit for middle class morality

It refuses to condemn revolutionary violence in absolute terms. King Canute, reimagined as a femboy 11th cent Lenin of the north sea, is one of the vaunted few who can see beyond to a truly better world. The manga makes clear which route it prefers between egalitarian radical pacifism and ruthless strongman militarism, but it doesn’t let the better man (that is, vicariously, the audience) gloat about it and also makes clear that the latter is at least asking the right questions (a rare and laudable achievement)

The hero’s personal self-transformation is centrally, flauntingly undignified. His pride and dignity are the first things he is willing to toss aside for the sake of his dream of a better world. His pacifism doesn’t allow him to preserve his dignity and honour at all: it treats it instead as one of his first hindrances

It also manages to be so earnest and unsubtle to circle around from cringe to endearing. You can tell she’s really putting her whole heart into it, she really believes she needs to say what shes saying with it and won’t let artistic sophistication and discretion stand in the way of it

In conclusion pls read the manga it is very good :3

i would love to hear about the evil bad books

HI MURPH I NEED TO SCREAM ABOUT THIS

So there’s two, both by the same author, and I haven’t finished either. Ones called “twisted love” if that’s any indication of the vibe

So the first one! It’s about divorce! I have fully forgotten the name, but the main characters were called Alessandra and Dominic. I’m gonna call them A and D for my own sake

So these two met in college, A’s a nepo baby and D’s in here with a scholarship, he was poor growing up (also he has a brother who I fully forgot was part of the plot the first time I wrote this). He has dyslexia, so he is having trouble passing one of his classes, so his only good professor gives him the info of another student who does tutoring. It’s A. The two of them do the tutoring thing (which is honestly kinda cute. Fig you had no context for what happens later). D passes his exams and eventually the two begin dating, and then get married. At 23. Bad idea but okay

In the story, the two have been married for 10 years. D is now this super rich capitalist guy with a big company. He’s also a terrible boss. A has been basically his trophy wife for the past decade and the relationship is deteriorating. He forgets everything, doesn’t listen to her and constantly assumes how she feels. She doesn’t ever communicate how she feels so the marriage is going bad. They tried doing marriage counseling once but he fully forgot and she had to sit in that office making excuses for him while the counselor just looked at her with pity. He came home from work and didn’t even apologize for not showing up.

The final straw for her is their 10th anniversary. The two planned a trip to where their honeymoon happened (I think) and she reminded him like 3 times before he went to work. Would you be shocked if it turned out he forgot. Would you

She waits for ages and calls him multiple times. He doesn’t answer. She gets so pissed that she gets the bag she packed for the trip, puts her wedding ring on a table and leaves. When D gets home he starts looking for her and sees the packed bags. Finally he remembers and starts being an asshole to the maid about where A went. She says that A left. He starts worrying, not cuz he realizes he was a duck but because he’s super rich and thinks someone might hurt her to hurt him or smth.

Meanwhile A’s doing fine, she’s just at a hotel. The next morning she calls him, tells him her location and then hangs up before he can say anything. He shows up and here we see he doesn’t think of anything he’s done as wrong. “I’ll just book a new trip” SHUT UP!!! Anyway at the end of this she says she wants a divorce. This is like. Chapter 4

A goes to move in with a friend. She also realizes that she gave up a lot of her life to this dude, that she only has 3 friends and no life. The friend helps her out, and also gives her an ornate knife that she can stab her (ex)husband with. It was wrapped like a present. She’s so cool. Also D’s refusing to sign the papers so she gets a divorce lawyer.

At some point, D goes out with his friends for a business thing (what’s new), 2 of which are married to two of A’s friends. So they know. They awkwardly bring it up and he says something like “oh A’s just upset, she won’t actually go through with it.” And the one of his friends calls him a piece of shit and that if he treated his own wife like that even once she’d leave him forever. A’s had to deal with his bullshit for 10 years. Finally D realizes he sucks (not when his wife tells him though. He had to have his friends tell him. He doesn’t respect his wife)

So this begins the saga of him harassing her to show that “he still loves her”. He sends flowers. He follows her to a club. He threatens to beat up some guy who was flirting with her. Also the first sex scene happens here (I was not expecting that I was trying to stop myself from laughing in the library lol). In a bathroom. In a club bathroom. That’s… unsanitary, right?

Later there’s a party or something I dunno and he sees his estranged older brother here. Someone also dies here! Some old rich guy I don’t care. A’s here with her friends and she’s in shock from seeing a dead guy so D takes her home. They do the sex thing again. In the morning, he sees her trying to leave while he was sleeping and has the AUDACITY to get mad. The two start arguing and A starts crying. D realizes he broke this completely and agrees to sign the divorce papers then and there. The two are officially divorced

So next A goes on vacation. Her brother is in um. I don’t remember but it was in South America I believe, so she joins him. She gets a one way ticket. D finds out AND HE GETS A FLIGHT THERE TOO. FUCKING WEIRDO!!! She tries to ignore him but she thinks “Wow. D never goes away from his business things… maybe he really does care about me” AND GIRL THAT IS THE DEVIL SPEAKING. THE DEVIL

Then her mother calls, telling her that she’s getting married (again) and it’s in two days. What the fuck is happening. A and her brother have no fucking clue how to get there in two days and D offers his private jet he has (have we mentioned he’s rich yet? He’s rich) to take them. So apparently A’s mom is a model/actress/I don’t remember and she’s had a ton of failed relationships so A does not think this’ll last. Anyway, at the wedding, she hears the vows and starts tearing up cuz it reminds her of her own wedding and how wrong everything went. D tries to talk to her after the wedding, but her brother stops him and essentially says “Hey man you’re a friend to me but she’s my sister. And you clearly fucked this up. Leave her alone.” Anyway he doesn’t do this and A FUCKING FORGIVES HIM IN A CONVERSATION. Well, not fully. She agrees to try starting again, but also that they’re not married anymore and that she’s allowed to date and do things like that without him bitching about it.

The friend who gave her the knife is devastated at this news when A gets back. She can see this going so so wrong. Also the whole time in the background A’s been trying to open a flower shop or something like that, and the dude who owns the property she wants to use is apparently super and super nice, so the two go on a date. This was before the mothers wedding and the whole trip, and D shows up at the restaurant. He was actually there for something else, so he wasn’t stalking her this time. Anyway the other dudes fine I don’t remember him much. He wears flannels.

So that’s where I left off. I swear I’ll finish that book someday

The other one I barely read but it was about this 22 year old girl. Her name was Ava, and her brothers going away for a school thing. He’s super worried about her cuz apparently something happened when she was younger so he’s protective of her or whatever.

Also the book opens with her being stranded in the rain. Her brothers going away party is soon and she hasn’t picked up the cake yet. So she calls him and he picks up and tells her one of his friends borrowed his car. He tells her he’ll send the friend to pick her up. I would love you to guess what he’s doing during the call. IF YOU GUESSED THAT HE WAS HAVING SEX BEFORE PICKING UP HER CALL AND HE DID NOT LEAVE THE ROOM AND SITUATION BEFORE TALKING TO HIS SISTER then you’d be right!

So the dude who picks her up is this totally cool and mysterious friend of her brothers and also he’s an asshole. They get to the party and the best character shows up, Ava’s super hot best friend. She hates Ava’s brother apparently. She’s so cool

So the brother asks his friend (whose name I don’t care to remember) to watch over Ava while hes gone. He interprets this as “be super weird and controlling despite the fact you barely know this girl”. Anyway Ava should be dating her friend she comforts her every time she wake up from a night terror, even though she’s busy with law school. Ava’s friend is the perfect woman

Anyway that’s all! Sorry for the super long and rambly post I just have a lot of opinions. If there’s spelling mistakes I’m sorry I don’t have the energy to fix them

My biggest problem with Ayato is his stans. 😭

I don't mind if his stans want to make a thousand posts a day about how much they love him, but what does bother me is that they always try to throw in his face that he "is the only canonical/true route". I even read that "the real Yui" is only the Yui that appears in Ayato's routes. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

I swear, his stans are so annoying. Yui is the "real Yui" in all the damn routes, NOT just Ayato's. All routes are equally canon because at the end of the day it's us fans who decide who we prefer to see Yui/MC with. In any case, Yui/MC loves all the guys in her harem in equal measure, there is nothing she has done or said for Ayato that she hasn't done or said for the other Diaboys. And in fact, she has died more times protecting Yuma than Ayato, (that's never mentioned by Ayato's stans, why is that?)

Something I can't stand either is that they say that Ayato's Dark Fate route "is the best route of all the games", literally in Dark Fate you have routes like Carla and Shin's, who are new characters and yet have better development and a much more interesting background than Ayato could have had in four games.

Same anon, same. (Wow… the statement about Yui 💀. The idolism got to that point? Come on 😅. And i thought the level of entitlement couldn’t surpass the “Ayato is the main character”.)

Though my problem with them is

1, They think they have the priviledge. To whitewash (idk how this word works yet, like is it only apply to skin color? Or does it mean “bleaching one’s wrong doing” too? I’m going with the 2nd one) their oshi; for example, “Ayato has never engaged in harmful coping mechanism and never project it on others.” In Bold. That’s blatant lie. Check out Sakamaki Saga for more detail plus his LE route too! I don’t remember much about HBD MB and DF but i think there are some. Mainly in the first two games.

While they reacted like sodium meeting water whenever the other boys did an equal bad thing. Some even make up tell tales about them. Way to go.

To say “not a positive opinion” about other boys, but non-Ayato fans can’t. “Ik everyone has their opinions but why don’t keep them to yourself if they’re not positive ones??? Don’t wonder why Ayato stans reacted that way because everyone would defend their fav Diaboy. Acting like he isn’t the Sakamaki most prone to put his life on the line for others pfft. Girl, you will obviously get such negative”reactions if you start drama. You claim you don’t want to but you did start it already because you spread hatred in this fandom with your “opinions”.

Lady and gentlemen, look at that mindset. These priviledged people allow themselves to shove fake facts into other people’s face. They be dissing your fav boys everyday and people applause them for that. Then when you raise your hand to voice out your not-a-one-way-tunnel thoughts, they brand it as “negative”. Why negative? Oh. Cuz you don’t support Ayato and put him on an altar; instead, you tell them that “Ayato’s at fault too”. That means you hate him right? You want to discredit him, right? You want to start drama, right?

2. Some of them just love to assume. Pulling things out of no where. If you have time do take a look at the previous asks on my blog. Oh my. If you say smth on the level of “perceiving” they’ll think that you’re “complaining” and attack you. And this one will be the complement for

3. They prone to put things in boxes. Because they don’t understand perceptions and perspectives, plus, they’re so used to reacting, they won’t be able to see that you’re only giving an opinion that could be the complement for their opinion to create a complete picture. They’ll think that you’re reacting. That you’re attacking them, their oshi, anything of such. So they attack you.

4. They value fairness, but only if Ayato’s in the picture. For all the rest… nope.

Prove is what you just said anon. “Ayato’s the real route”, “Yui’s the real Yui in Ayato’s route”, ect. I don’t have to say more than that.

(Oh your last statement. 🤔 True true some characters “have better development and a much more interesting background” plus mindset; AND, by “interesting” i don’t mean that i’m encouraging their twisted behaviours and wrong doings. Just that they would be fascinating subjects to do research on. This note is for the Ayato’s fan who haven’t been able to see things seperately yet so that they don’t jump onto me and attack me for things i never said. 👌

YESSSSSS OKAY SO BASICALLY. it was inspired by this post and this fanart that i simply went wild over. it’s currently abandoned but i might pick it up again idk, the main plot is that tubbo stays in kinoko kingdom after the end of the disc saga and finds karl just after he returns from a time travel adventure.

karl is secretive, because he feels this job is his and his alone, but tubbo is a nosy little bitch and sneaks into the library, where karl has no choice but to admit to it. tubbo is skeptical at first, but after lots of back and forth, he offers to help karl with this burden. karl begrudgingly accepts on the one condition that tubbo doesn’t tell the fiances– their wedding is soon, and karl doesnt want that getting fucked up.

from there, each chapter is like an “episode” of tales, where tubbo is brought along on each adventure. i only have 2/3 ideas so far. the first “episode” takes place centuries before the smp, in a village near the ‘warwoods’ which is the center for magic in the world and a battleground between endermen and humans from way before the stronghold/end portal was blocked off. in this episode tubbo is introduced to the concept of “you’ll find those you love in every timeline” when he meets a boy who he immediately recognizes as tommy’s past life. they also learn about end culture through an endermen which is not-so-obviously ranboo’s past life. cue a bunch of worldbuilding because it’s fun

the second “episode” is a retelling of the first season of the dream smp, but everything is all wack. it’s based off both the history books in mizu, and that one fake skin of ranboo in a lmanberg outfit that i thought was real (and then was proven as a clown but. we dont talk about that). so anyways the roles are switched up as follows:

niki is the leader of the revolution against king georgenotfound, with ranboo as her second in command.

as said in the mizu history books, tubbo is the leader of the “lmanberg warriors” which is their armed forces, with tommy as his right hand man and fundy as their greatest warrior.

wilbur and eret are part of the revolution, but they are spies. they’re background characters until one day, wilbur is caught on a mission. king george offers him mercy, if he accepts a deal to betray his friends. wilbur refuses and so george executes him.

thinking its their fault they left their friend to get caught, and ragefully mourning for his brother, eret and tommy dedicate themselves to the revolution and overthrow king george (because yes wilbur tommy brothers i dont make the rules).

when karl and tubbo return home from that episode, karl’s memory loss becomes painfully apparent. tubbo argues that they need to tell the fiances, but karl won’t let him. as the wedding approaches, they’re both afraid karl will lose himself before he can stop it.

The Pancake Saga

Wanna hear a really stupid thing i came up with just now when talking to me friend? No? Well, too bad. So we were watching the aa anime again cos it’s year old now and I was complaining about capcom never letting them be happy (says the one who makes AUs so they can suffer more). And my friend said that it’s a murder game so it won’t be interesting if no one dies? So i came up with some trash So you would play as Phoenix obviously. But instead of solving crime and going for trials, you do mundane things. Like go to the supermarket to get groceries and stuff. Sounds cute right? But he’s Phoenix. Nothing ever goes as planned. I don’t know why ok, but Maya wants pancakes. So many pancakes. And like one (1) specific type of pancake that they sell at this one (1) singular special shop. And Phoenix has no choice but to grumble and go down there to buy some. Except there are none there. He can’t go home without pancakes! This is an essential quest in this game!! Then he asks the staff about the pancakes. And they’re like “Oh, that weird frilly guy over there swiped them all.” Phoenix turns around... And lo and behold... It’s Edgeworth. With an entire trolley of pancakes. Phoenix is too shocked to go up to him, to ask him what he’s doing, why he needs so many pancakes, if he can have one... And then Edgeworth is done paying and he’s gone. Dangit. The next thing Phoenix does is head over to the Prosecutor’s Office. On bicycle. Which is super far away. It takes him forever. By the time he gets there, he’s exhausted, panting, almost collapsing at Miles’ office door. But he knocks anyway. And promptly collapses into Miles’ office. “Wright!!!!” He wakes up in just a few minutes. Phew. And Miles is hovering over him, frowning. But it’s not his usual grumpy frown, it’s his concerned frown. Phoenix knows ok. But the first thing Phoenix asks is, “Where are the pancakes.” Now it’s the grumpy frown. The really grumpy frown. “It’s none of your business.” Phoenix immediately sits up and demands to know where the pancakes are. Miles demands that Phoenix get out. Phoenix does his big puppy eye look. Miles grumbles. Phoenix wins. But Miles still refuses to tell him where the pancakes are, what he needs them for, and will not give Phoenix even a single pancake. Phoenix is outraged. “This is ridiculous, Edgeworth!” he says. “We’ve been friends for nearly twenty years and you won’t give me a pancake!” Still no pancakes. Phoenix decides to make a call. Within half an hour, there is another knock on the door. It’s Dadworth. (this is a happy game. DL-6 never happened. Grego is alive ok) The first thing Grego says is a disappointed, “Son.” And like holds his hand over his heart like he’s been shot. Anyway, Grego has great powers over Miles and Miles quickly caves and says he’s dropped the pancakes off back home and agrees to drive them over to give Phoenix one (1) pancake. Phoenix does a fistpump and every audibly goes, “Yes!!!!” So Miles begrudgingly drives them both back to his fancy home in his fancy sports car. If his car is a 2 seater, Phoenix is probably in the boot or smth. Phoenix questions his relationship with this man. Once at his house, Miles shows them in and opens this door with a pained expression, meaning to show them the pancakes. But all he gets is a confused “Huh?” from Phoenix and his dad. Then he looks in. There are no pancakes. There are no pancakes. Miles screams. The next thing they know, Gregory is hugging and gently stroking the head of a crying Miles, making gentle soothing noises, as Miles screams at Gumshoe on the phone to gET TO THE BOTTOM OF THOSE MISSING PANCAKES. IMMEDIATELY. So, once Miles has pulled himself together, and Phoenix has probably made Miles some (awful) tea to calm his nerves and stuff, they call Maya too cos missing pancakes dude. And all 4 of them go investigating together to find those missing pancakes. Maybe some other people get roped in too. Like Kay. Since she’s an expert on theft. Plus, she too would like some pancakes. Maybe interpol is called. Lang happens to be in town. He’ll sniff the perp out with his wolf nose. Fran somehow hears of this and thinks it’s a foolish endeavor but she’s helping too. Maya calls Mia and Pearls. There are now too many people looking for pancakes. Miles despairs over having to share with so many people. Gregory knows and shakes his head at his son. Anyways, I’m not entirely how their adventures ends up going, but I’m pretty sure they end up helping lots of other people along the way. And it turns out it was Oldbag who stole them all along. Her rationale was that if she had all the pancakes, Miles would have to go look for her for the pancakes. Yep. A great story. A great game. Hire me, capcom.
