˚ ༘ ೀ⋆｡˚ synopsis: in which (y/n) is given a clothing much too revealing and restrictive that it evokes the members’ protectiveness and heroic sense to win her justice ˚ ༘ ೀ⋆｡˚

“Alright, idols! Please head into the dressing room for your fittings!! Stylists, please pay close attention to the new sets we brought in— check all their details and sizes and make sure nothing is wrong!” The head stylist reminds as she walks across the room and out into the corridor to grab some other stuff required for Enhypen’s stage.

Heeseung and the boys howl and sing in deep bass voices as they march into the makeup room in a messy line, all dressed in their new stage fits as they still need to check their practicability during dance.

"I nEEd tHe lIGh—" Heeseung freezes entirely at the doorway, causing Jake, Jay and Ni-ki as well as the other members behind to collide with one another's back.

Jay furrows as he flips his hair back before tidying them again with his fingers while Jake who's in front of him stares at the back of a frozen Hee's head.

"Why'd you stop?" He asks their oldest but when he follows the shocked gaze of the wide-eyed bambi, he too mimics his expression— jaw falling and eyes growing twice in size. "(y/n)?? Wha...what are you wearing?"

(y/n) lifts her head to them and instinctively crosses her arms, a feeble smile on her clearly strained expression. "Hey... It's my new set."

The sound of discomfort in her voice breaks their line as the members pour into the room like pool balls scattering across the board.

And as if witnessing a scene right out of a horror film playing right in front of their eyes, they express different forms of fright.

Sunoo with his hand flying to his mouth as a large gasp escapes, Jay and Ni-ki who are completely petrified with the former expressing evident displeasure and the latter just looking onto his shoes before the walls then, at (y/n) before back to his shoes; Sunghoon whose thick brows are scrunched and knitted yet lips tightly pressed and finally, Jungwon with a similar expression but jaw tightened.

In front of the standing mirror in the makeup room is (y/n) who's wearing a pink camisole top with frilly black trims and a thin satin ribbon in the centre of the sweetheart neck line. The fabric around the chest is elastic, hugging her tightly while the cloth that runs below it that reaches just slightly above her hip is sheer.

Her stomach can be seen faintly, blanketed by the translucent material and to make matters worse, it's paired with a low-rise pleated, black miniskirt that seems too short to even be called a miniskirt. Is there such thing as a mini miniskirt? Because that's how it looks to them. It looks more alike a frilly swimsuit than it is a stage outfit, at least where they're from.

It's tiny to the point that her safety shorts seem like normal shorts and at that moment, the Enhypen members are beginning to question the rationality of their staff— and the whole company.

"..W…Wow! Such a cute combo...!" Jake exclaims, trying to be supportive as to not offend or discourage their lone female teammate as he approaches her with an awkward grin. "Where's the jacket? Or a cardigan, maybe?"

(y/n)'s crossed arms lower to her abdomen, trying to conceal it as the sheerness of her camisole isn't doing much. "This is the whole fit, actually..."

"What?" Heeseung blurts as his expression falls and Jay walks over to (y/n), draping his leather jacket over her shoulders to which she quickly slips her sleeves in. "They expect you to perform in this?"

"This isn't practical," Jay comments, now left in his sleeveless shirt as he glares at whatever is in front but his stare softens when he looks at (y/n). "They said this is your new fit? Is there nothing else?"

She shakes her head and both him and Sunghoon emit a heavy sigh of frustration, the latter resisting the urge to roll his eyes.

"This is impossible! You can't perform in this!" Sunoo loudly expresses his disagreement to her ensemble as he tightens the jacket around her, angrily fixing the zip together with an evident scowl. "Can't even give you some tights? Or a cardigan? It's not like they can't afford it!"

Jungwon steps forward and runs his solicitous gaze on the features of her face, reading her expression. "You want to wear something else? You should wear something else. You can't dance in this."

He doesn't even give her the opportunity to reply before he looks around the room, searching for any known stylists and keenly spots one blending in with the makeup artists. "Excuse me! Stylist-nim!"

The said staff turns and she walks over to the crowd of 7 that encircle the subject of their worry. "Yes?"

Jungwon gestures to (y/n) who stands uncomfortably. Being one of the youngest with no significant team role and the only female, she always has to tread more carefully than the others. Her position is after all, more vulnerable and she doesn’t want anything to risk it. Jungwon knows that. "She can't wear this."

The stylist turns to her before her lips form an 'O.' "Ah, this? Yes, this jacket is Jay's so this isn't supposed to—"

She's stopped by both Sunghoon's and Jay's hand that rest on her arm and shoulder respectively, directly preventing her from removing the jacket. Her head lifts, meeting eyes with the two and instantly feeling small at their stern gazes despite their lips that remain closed.

"We know that's Jay's jacket. We put it on her because her outfit doesn't seem appropriate for the stage. She can't perform in that," Heeseung interjects as his eyes travel from her head to toe. "Look, she's getting cold already."

"It's the company's decision so we can't—"

"So, you expect her to go out like this?" Jungwon interrupts and the frigid air around them melts from the fire burning in his usually gentle eyes and unmoving, defensive stance but it doesn’t make things better at the slightest. In fact, it feels worse.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire.

"We can’t change her set without prior notice to the company…” The stylist nervously says and Jay nods understandingly although, his soft frown and tightened lips suggest otherwise.

“Then, she can wear my jacket,” he says and the members give subtle nods, showing their unanimous approval.

Ni-ki stands closer to (y/n) and offers a small smile, sharp eyes gazing down at her before at the jacket. “Yeah, it looks nice like this too.”

“But—”

7 pairs of daunting eyes slice daggers onto her, unnerving her very being and she takes a small, subservient step backwards. They speak no words, not wanting to appear rude and demanding yet the grim aura that emanates and overpowers from the group is enough to stifle the whole room, enough to perturb, rid one of air with a tension so thick, you can cut.

“Um… I’ll see what I can do.”

She scurries away and after what seems like a frantic discussion, they decide to change her outfit. They keep the top, but pairs it with a matching black sweater knit shrug to cover her bare arms and shoulders, and replaces her miniskirt for a pair of high-waisted bootcut jeans that cover up to her waist.

It’s clear how happy (y/n) is after the alterations so it’s almost comedic and yet, heartwarming to see the boys even happier at seeing her twirl and grin in front of the standing mirror.

“Can’t believe they made her wear that,” Heeseung comments bitterly. “How is she supposed to dance?”

“Can’t believe the company even agreed on it,” Jay adds and Jungwon shakes his head with disbelief.

The sound of giddy chuckles fill the room and the older ones watch as Ni-ki and (y/n) have a hand-slapping match, both having too great of a balance to actually fall so they end up looking like those inflatable dummies.

Do you help small simblrs get noticed by sharing their posts? I’m smaller blog and I really wished that larger blogs would share everyone’s content. Do you only share larger simblrs posts? You seem to get much interaction with posts too.

Thank you for the ask, Mystery Asker! Let me ask you this, what made you want to start a simblr to begin with? What inspired you to share your sims with the Sims Community?

If you have solid answers to these questions, that's great, but if you have a simblr for the sole purpose of garnering interactions, you may be disappointed. People, I have found, will "like", "reblog", "comment" etc. on posts they genuinely feel connected to or just enjoy the overall aesthetic of. As for my simblr, I try to share both large and small simblr posts, but the same rules apply for me to. If I like it, I interact with it. My reblogging can range from sharing a post with 5 interactions to 100+. I try to make it a point to shout out and reblog any "smaller" simblrs if they cross my dash, but to be frank, oftentimes I miss seeing posts from fellow simblrs that I interact with regularly, just because 1. time zones maybe different, you miss their posts and 2. the amount of posts that cram my dash is overwhelming to go through sometimes. So, I catch up when I can.

Larger Simblrs vs. Smaller Simblrs is kind of a silly arena to try and fight in, at the end of the day, we're all sharing the same content, just told in a different/ creative way. If a larger simblr decides to reblog something of yours, that's great, sometimes that will make your blog stand out to more folks. But, bro, if a "SMALLER" simblr reblogs your post, that's still a win! That means people are engaging with you and loving your content. So just take the W.

I don't necessarily feel like I get a ton of interactions, I may make a post that hits with some folks and I may make a post that doesn't, but at the end of the day, that's not why I share my content. And, it doesn't really matter to me. There's so much other stuff happening in the world, the Sims has just become a fun way for me to disconnect for a bit. I just enjoy gameplay and I'm having fun in the process! I may be the wrong simblr to ask, because, in all transparency, I think I just hit around 150 followers, I think that's a HUGE accomplishment for me because that means 150+ people like to share in my shenanigans. But in terms of the internet/tumblr sphere, it's probably low to average interactions/followers, and I'm okay with that. I hope that makes sense and I hope I am not coming across as rude, because that isn't my intention. If you take away one thing from this rambling reply, just keep doing what you're doing as long as you're having fun, and not hurting others/yourself in the process. Be consistent with posting maybe? Experiment with different aesthetics? Hire an SEO company? (I'm kidding about the SEO company) I don't know, friend, just keep at it. Now, go forth and sim!

i find it damn near impossible to get mad at santana’s behavior in 3x06 and 3x07 because i genuinely do think she had the right to be lashing out at everybody. sue me idk

#finn's ocs #oc references #finn's art #YAY i finished them yayayayayayayayyay #i hope that they all look okay too ive been trying some new stuff out esp in the faces. different mouth shapes and nose shapes and #ran out of space. and eyes and eyelid shapes the latter of which ive been getting really great input on from some friends who are great <3 #so hopefully they were all done justice but of course i usually go back and edit stuff after the fact anyway so i never discourage input in #ran out of space again. in general* #anyway this specific set was fun to do. i wanted them all to stand out in different ways so i didnt just give them a flower theme #uranus has a sort of vague nature theme but the light blues and whites under the dark greens were like #meant to evoke the sky. which is her namesake. but the sky name also sort of refers to the fog in a way #anthe was the most obvious w the nature theme is IS flowers. and lesath also has a flower motif going to but poisonous ones #crux is like. Rocks. because he rocks we love a short king #and patella diphda and musca all have various types of animal and or bug themes. is a snail a bug or an animal? not sure #musca also has a bit of a fairy theme going too which like are usually associated w nature #and of course ramus is apple themed. thats a kind of plant like anthe and lesath but instead of a flower its a fruit #theres technically another character who has an apple theme but in a different way so i dont think they impede on each other #yeah :)

i should not be allowed to read this author at emotional times. like. late at night. relocated from sleeping on the sofa (again lmao) at like 2am and was awake and i had mentioned that i really loved the play that one author had written (yes, the one filling me with admiration and envy so bad that let's not get into that) to my teacher and she also really likes that author and loaned me two books of his. so i decided, hey, i'm gonna read a bit, either i get tired and fall asleep (good) or i finish the book (also good) except now i'm hit once again by this stupid emotion mocktail i wanna write like that so so so bad but i'll never be able to write this or something like it because he already did that, that's the point, so now i'm tired but still not sleeping because ough and also i should really analyse the story maybe

#i already noticed a lot of details #he wasnt exactly subtle in saying his part #but damnn #a biscuit's rambles #its 4am i am still not sleeping i am still so unnormal about it #to be fair i did try to sleep #but that one theatre adaptation of a different play and this book started mixing #like the guy was whirling around on his colourful space rock on wheels thing with that bigass cane for steering (actually happened and it w #s GOOD okay it was a bit weird at the beginning but so so good) but that cane thing was a candy cane #and he like. used the hook thingy to pull me in by my collar. i have never before dreamed in 1st person pov btw that doesnt actually happen #and then thaz feeling was like a dull echo of the main guy at the end of the book #while the other two actors/characters from the play were also there #the main character still standing in the middle like a marionette slowly spinning w/out visible strings and s/that costume and stuff it was #so good. and the other one except she wasnt visible under all the clothes (that was like a pretty symbolic thing in the play) #and for some reason all of this was accompanied by iron maiden's 22 acacia avenue #i know every single riff and guitar solo and line by heart it was the exact song playing #interesting choice of lyrics for a mashup of classic literature with very different topics and one modern adaptation of one of those! #i mean that line of dreaming stopped but now im awake again ugh

#gideon shut the hell up challenge #would love to think abt canon fawn but unfortunately there’s nothing to think abt there so. #we still can’t figure out how to write a big thing abt the fawnchen stuff but. since we’ve been thinking in general. #fawnchen sitting together at the memorial/funeral… the ortegas try to coax fawn into sitting in a seat between them but fawn is still too #emotional in v negative ways (angry at them; blames them; hates them) to consider it so they sit on the end of a row and next to chen #there is a lot of dialogue in mind abt him asking if they’ve talked to the ortegas yet and asking if they blame him [implied: the same way #that they’re blaming the twins/hb/themself] and fawn says that he wasn’t in the room [so he couldn’t have stopped anything] and he asks #again if they blame him [for not being there to help in the first place] #+ way later (read: autopsy photo time) fawn noting that chen seems to be treating them differently? he’s notably trying Not to but he’s #being weird enough that it draws attention to itself. v soon after he is ofc injured and argent joins the rangers and fawn is like #oh I get it…. he was worried abt how I’d get along w someone New joining. kinda fucked up he doesn’t trust me but it’s fine #would love to say they’d still get along but honestly without the villainy from fawn they’d probs be like neutral-positive @ each other #+ obvs even later than that is when herald joins the team and eww can you imagine what a complicated nightmare that is for fawn #on one hand. new hero!! his brain is super open and he’s nice and wants to get along w you!! on the other hand. he’s a Fan of yours and #probs only hesitates to bring up ur dead brothers (bc they were Also his icons) bc he has been trained by both ortegas to NOT!!! do that #I think they’d honestly still get along tho :) maybe if he catches them in a good enough mood he can get some brothers lore from them

on one hand I wanna write my fic ideas wherein my marvel oc gets sent to the alternate universe of Gotham and hijinks ensue whilst she tries to survive and get back and the batfam and such slowly learn more info abt her world and how it's being threatened atm and she needs to go back and help and whatnot.

But on the other hand, the readers wouldn't know the marvel related backstory of this OC and would have. No context for her going in

But ALSO then the readers would know abt as much abt this mysterious figure as the batcrew do, and get to learn via flash backs and her slowly revealing info to them as safety allows

Then there's also just a general. Idk if there's any sort of oc etiquette when it comes to writing oc centered fics? My brain goes so hogwild when I read anything that I usually avoid oc fics other people write just bc I usually read and enjoy fics at face value but I also go "now what would happen if this OC was here?" And that gets real complicated when other people's ocs are involved

last night i had a dream that had something to do with reading a fic abt . well i wanna say "a haunted forest diner" but i've already written a haunted forest diner fic and it was not at all like that. anyway, it was this haunted forest diner fic in the sense that all its patrons were old forest gods of like decay and shit and in order to sneak in, you had to transform into like a deer, and apparently i was a supremely graceful jumper for a stag

but anyway i dreamt that that was a fic that i had apparently read and commented on months ago, but for w/e reason i had never read the replies to, and the author had replied that i seemed like a cool person n that they would have loved to have read some stuff i had written "but it seems you do not have any genshin works up..."

and honest to god all i could think upon reading that was literally "lol skill issue"

#and then i dreamt that i got one of those defeat the 8-12 hilichurl comms in genshin n i was like fine fine w/e #but after killing two i somehow figured out that they were not trying to kill me but instead trying to kidnap me to be their medic #and i was intrigued enough to be like 'okay' n sat down on this white blanket thing they had set aside for me #n one of my friends (don't remember who) was like 'yo you good?' n i was like 'yeah they just want me to be their medic' #n my friend looked at me suspiciously n was like 'well the comm isn't over you have six more to kill but if you need me i'll be over there' #n she pointed to where the trumpets i knew in high school (minus cody? i think?) were having sectionals under some trees #it was definitely trumpet sectionals but for whatever reason my brain decided to edit out cody So fucking True get redacted idiot #anyway so i just waited around in the warm sun untild a bunch of humanoid creatures started coming down the hill #i think they were supposed to be bosses or smth but none of them are in gnshn even tho we were def in mond or liyue by this point #and they all had different colored faces but anyway my friend was like 'THIS IS WHY WE HAVE TO DEFEAT ALL THE HILICHURLS!!!' #'BECAUSE IF WE DON'T THEN THEY'RE JUST BUYING TIME FOR *THESE GUYS* TO COME!!!!' #n i was like 'oh shit!!' n we started fighting them n they were really tanky but we got most of them except for the blue one #and so i went back to the haunted diner place n entered it as a human n went upstairs where i found the author in my dreams #n she said that we couldn't talk long bc the blue guy was after me but she'd distract it by joining its side #and also there was like this whole subplot in between abt like uhhh exchanging love for power i think? idk i don't remember rn #i just remember that the author temporarily exchanged some of her like. goodwill or smth to buy me time to prepare for my fight #with the blue guy and so i hiding in the bathroom listened w my ear pressed against the wall as she became corrupted n then it was #my turn to fight the blue guy n i opened up the door n stuff but then i woke up :c #anyway so that was MY dream diary for today everyone leave your own recent dreams in the replies and we can have a discussion lol #花話

I just saw a post about how ‘it’s taught in america that the pilgrims were Good and fleeing religious intolerance but they were actually Bad’ which first off, you cannot make those distinctions bc freaking everyone was up to kill anyone who didn’t agree in those days, but also… People claiming to be american claiming that they were definitely taught exactly that??

Maybe… If you never took a history class past elementary school, I guess. Or maybe you were in Florida (oh, gods, get my mother started on people killing each other in Florida).

Bc, resident American here, albeit one in Massachusetts, and… No. We’re not taught that. You get a romanticised version in early grades maybe, but the higher you go, you get taught that the most Puritans had different religious beliefs than the standard in England, so they took the opportunity to ship off to the colonies. There’s no victimisation, it’s just straight facts. And that usually, that was the category of people shipped off to the colonies—criminals, religious differences, poor people… Like no one in their right mind wanted to go off into the ‘wilderness.’ They did it bc they hated being where they were, and England was all too happy to get rid of them. Hell, they were also completely unprepared and many of them died on the way over. Like that shot went super bad for so many reasons.

I’m not going to claim I remember every detail I was taught, and I had a bit of a deeper knowledge bc my mother is, again, a history major w/ an interest in American history bc it is whacky), and I do remember the ‘founding’ being a little simplified, but I also distinctly remember going into higher grades and having teachers outright explain ‘what you were told as kids was a very simplified version, let’s talk about it in more detail.’ We weren’t taught that there were ‘good’ or ‘bad’ guys, we were taught that these people had a difference in belief and that for that reason, they ended up shipped off to the colonies. We talked about the conflicts, the damage, the ugly bits.

I think people claiming to have been taught a sanitised version either didn’t take many history classes, didn’t pay attention, or don’t remember much of what they were taught (which no judgement here, I barely remember). Or maybe they’re just trying to sound Cool on the internet? I can’t know. But I remain baffled by certain myths about the us that alleged Americans come out of the woodwork to claim are true when… Your experiences are not universal???

Like I’m happy to criticise the education system, bc excuse me while I cry about not being able to hold a conversation in Spanish, but like. Unless you were in a very particular environment (I went to public school, btw)… No, you weren’t taught that shit. There’s parts missing, sure, but they did not, at least not beyond elementary, try to claim the ‘Pilgrims’ were blameless. I remember being taught that life was harsh and short, and people bitter and stubborn. I don’t doubt that the words ‘fleeing religious intolerance’ might’ve been used, bc technically, yes, they were. But I am also intolerant of trolls, and mosquitos. That’s a statement, it has no bearing on what kind of people either group was.

#thoughts #oni talks #oni vents #I keep having dreams/nightmares about repressed memories &/or memories in general or like investigations or smth #like my dreams will be point blank referencing something going so far as to literally tell me that in dream but either I don’t know what or #I don’t fully understand why? like some stuff is obvious and easy & usually I figure it out in dream or right after #but other times it’s just like ???? or it’s like I have some of the pieces but not all of them and I have no idea what picture I’m supposed #to be trying to put together for the puzzle either? sometimes dreams are just cool adventures with like messaging or processing #other times it’s memories and I can tell I’m in a memory but I either can’t tell which one or why or it’s like a hazy remix of several ? or #sometimes it’s like there’s someone else there with me guiding me through it? sometimes it’s like another me or a demon or a ghost or a god #I’ve also noticed a huge uptick in dreams/nightmares where it’s like I can tell the time period they come from and it’s been getting #like progressively younger? like I had some post grad then high school then middle #and then last sleeps one was elementary or younger maybe bits & pieces where I was slightly older? #I remember going through different places i lived in order to figure out my ideal living area but there was a memory block on one area #& I remember exploring like my childhood home & I know I was a kid because I was short and everything looked like it did when I was little #everything was bigger & I remember there was I think parties? & AU versions of my family some supernatural #ik there was an investigation w/ me & an Alt ver of my sis bc smth happened to both of us & it was like a whodunnit while a cooking comp was #sort of in the back ground? think iron chef but supernatural it went between that and parties where I was the only kid there so if I go #based on that there’s at least 2 maybe 3 hazy memories of parties my siblings had? 1 was in upstairs bathroom which was hazy but I remember #I was alone with this one girl in the bathroom at some point who I think later died if it’s the same girl & then the other one there’s hazy #memories of I think me showing one of my sisters friends around the basement? around the same area as the dream too #I also keep having dreams/nightmares of the same house ik I had one before where it was abt how me+siblings have ties there that will keep #leading us back & I think my dad was trying to sever it or fix it from the afterlife? reading the end of hiagb made me realize that when following along live i'd read a lot more of it than i thought and it's fun that it's overarchingly how a nut and a bug launched into space b/c of being sick of the world & into a temple at the edge of time & not-actually-infinite versions of themselves re: every [alternate timeline based on different choices/possibilities] can coexist in the same world with every bug tasked w/launching every nut back to the temple for reasons re: maintaining things and all the looping is disrupted by one bug who dated their nut and another bug whose quantum leap error was rectified by being teleported into another nut. the One System Error in an iterative process, one organic Idk Things Just Went Differently This Time As They Always Could've But Maybe Otherwise Virtually Never Did And That's Enough "that's / [one is] all it takes" vs "it's all the same / what's the diff" loops. no rules
