I missed the first 10 minutes, so I don't know if they were playing well at the beginning, but what a disaster, literally no leadership or order on the field, they clashed with each other, nobody knew who they were marking, and they ended up all tangled up not knowing what to do, and then came the tie, it gave them an emotional shock, they began to play very erratically, making too many mistakes and triggering the 1:2.
Not to be that bitch but Ilkay is not a captain for the team, he does not show character and does not give order to the team, without someone to give orders the team becomes a total chaos 🙃

This is probably a stupid question, but I wanted to check anyway
This question pertains to AFAB anatomy
How do you deal with soreness after edging so much? I'm a week or so deep into denial now, but I run into the issue that I can't edge more than once a day because a) it takes me a long time to reach the edge, and b) the stimulation makes me sore and then the rest of the day and the next day it hurts to touch too much. (Like I *can* edge more but it's painful and takes 5x as long.)
Do you have any advice? Am I being stupid and missing a key component? ...am I supposed to use lube?
I really want to be fucking ruined and barely able to function with how edged I am- at least for a few days before I go back to normal haha.
Thank you in advance!
not a stupid question at all! so, my first advice is gonna be lube. if you don't get very wet, using bottled lube is good; mucous membranes, like the ones in your vagina and on your clitoris, don't really like to get dried out.
from hereon out in this post, remember that you're not doing anything "wrong." bodies are very strange things, and there's no one-size guide to edging, masturbation, or anything involving pleasure; if nothing in this post works for you, your body is not broken, it's just different, and no matter how you end up doing things, it's right for your body <3
my second advice depends on your situation. every single body is different; some people don't have very sensitive clitorises, they may take a long time to reach the edge no matter *what* you try, or even certain medications may alter your libido, sensitivity, and orgasms. here are some things that might be the root of the issue:
not enough stimulation. if you want to be able to hit the edge faster, and edge repeatedly, but your fingers just aren't doing it, try using a vibrator if that option is available to you. for me, edging with my fingers is a little slower, but it affects me more and makes me dumber and needier faster than edging with a vibrator.
too much stimulation. it's possible you're using a vibrator exclusively, and have been for awhile; vibrators eventually desensitize you, but the good news is this is quickly reversible! if you've been using a vibrator exclusively, and it's become harder/slower to reach the edge, you may need to take some time to re-sensitize yourself.
if your situation is the first one, and even a vibrator doesn't help you reach the edge faster, you might try this:
remove the objective to "hard edge" in every session. you can be an edgepet even if you're not having hard edges! try to just focus on keeping yourself horny and excited.
you might try just playing with your clit for a few minutes every hour or so, whatever fits your situation - don't try to make the goal a hard edge, just focus on how it makes you feel horny and needy.
try your chest, too, if your nipples are sensitive at all. a side note here: they may not be sensitive *unless* you're horny - many people don't think their chests are sensitive until they're stimulated at the *right time.*
if it's the second, and you need to re-sensitize yourself, my advice is largely the same:
you won't be able to hard-edge right away, most likely. the goal is essentially to cut out the vibrator for right now. so again, the hard edge is not the goal - it's to get your clitoris reacquainted with softer touches.
you might do this by stepping down your vibe settings, if it's possible; it won't be satisfying. it won't get you to a hard edge. but eventually you'll get back there.
or you might just go cold-turkey and play with your fingers only for awhile. for me, it takes no more than a couple days for a "tolerance break" to work and i'm suddenly able to hard-edge with my fingers again.
in either situation, i've got this post saved on my other blog that's interesting to me. (tw: it's targeted at "girls" and uses some weird vocab (like the word "cummies" lmao, as well as referring to female subs as "c*nts")) but the advice in it sounds plausible to me. i haven't tried it in full detail yet, but it does seem in line with my experiences re-sensitizing myself and getting used to edging. if you want to avoid having to read that kind of language, here's my summarized/reworded version:
reduce the number of orgasms to increase sensitivity (doesn't necessarily apply here since it's denial you want anyway)
limit the time you rub - the author recommends starting with 5 minutes. either you reach an edge/orgasm or you don't (most likely), with 1 minute minimum of no touching afterwards. every week or so, he says to slowly decrease the time. after a few months, the goal is about 15 seconds, max (!!!)
most importantly, he says to rub very gently. his advice is very light circles with the fingertip around the clitoris, about "one per second." circles aren't the most pleasurable motions for every person, so substitute whatever motion usually works for you :)
apparently a good way of gauging the progress is that, after 10-20 times of being able to reach the edge within the allotted time, that's when you decrease. 5 minutes becomes 3 and whatnot.
ofc his instructions are written from the dreaded cishet mdom perspective, so his goals for his subs are probably very different from your goals for yourself. i'll reword his advice to suit your personal play: don't try to focus, during your rubbing, on the idea that you're trying to become more sensitive and edge faster; focus on the fact that it makes you feel good, and that no matter what happens - hard edge/increased sensitivity or not - you'll be a little dumber and needier afterwards <3
at a vague point in the training, he also advises varying your positions occasionally so that you learn to edge in more ways. this one's a big one for me - it's harder for me to hit the edge in a different position than my usual (on my back, legs spread). could be fun to experiment with!
for people self-training/enjoying play solo-style, he also says not to get bogged down by a time commitment - "better to do this for 3 days and finish what you start, [than] commit to 6 months and get discouraged and give up after 5 months."
hope something in this post is helpful!! happy edging friend <3

Brucellosis
Case Report
a 45M goat herder in Malaysia develops 3 weeks of fevers, lethargy, night sweats and headache
history revealed he drank unpasteurised milk from said goats, which he also sold to consumers
blood cultures were negative and he tested negative for more common tropical diseases such as malaria, dengue, typhus and lepto
eventually he tested positive for brucella serology, unfortunately about 80 people also developed brucellosis from drinking milk from his farm, and a few lab staff also picked it up from handling their blood samples
consider this differential in PUO
Tumblr media
Microbiology
causative organism: Brucella melitensis
gram negative coccobacillus, facultative intracellular
hardy bacteria that can survive prolonged periods in meat/dairy products unless pasteurised/cooked as well as dust & surfaces
picked up in the intestinal submucosa on ingestion and transported by macropahges to lymphoid tissue
it then has the possibility of spreading haematogenously in the liver, spleen, joints etc. causing systemic or localized infection
Transmission
zoonoses (animal associated)
in particular: feral pigs, so hunters are often at increased risk (due to handling the carcasses), but also cattle, sheep, goat and dogs
outbreaks often associated with consumption of unpasteurized milk from infected animals
Tumblr media
Epidemiology
global and notifiable disease in most countries
endemic to Mediterraena, South America and the indian subcontinent
in Australia - largely QLD and NT, but now NSW
Increased risk groups (i.e. what to ask on history and what clues on history to consider for brucellosis)
regular contact with animals (herders, abbatoir workers, vets - there are case reports of lab workers who pick up brucellosis etc)
people who ingest unpasteurized dairy/milk, or the undercooked meat of infected animals
History
first described by another European white man, Dr. George Cleghorn, British Army Surgeon in minorca in 1751 on the island of Malta following the Crimean war
Tumblr media
it was named for another British white man, Sir David Bruce who led a commission into a fever outbreak among the army in Malta before they found the organism causing the disease (Sir Themistocles Zammit identified that goats transmit it in milk)
Sir bruce also discovered that trypanosoma brucei (also named for him) was the microbe responsible for animal trypanosomiasis/sleeping sickness. incidentally, he was born in Melbourne Australia
trivia with the Crimean war - was ironically a war fought between Russia and the UK + it's Western Allies and the empire that preceded Turkey (Ottoman)
Today the Crimean war is more well known for producing Florence Nightingale, founder of modern nursing and yay, finally a woman in random medical history that hardly is related to brucellosis.
Clinical features
PUO - cyclical fevers, fatigue, headache, insomnia, myalgias/arthralgias, weight loss, anorexia (fairly non specific, but also systemic)
incubation times can be long, which can be deceptive, reportedly up to 50 yrs from first exposure
otherwise, most cases it ranges from 3 days to several week, on average, expect 2-4
sometimes: hepatosplenomegaly
critical on history to clarify travel/living situation or contacts and consumption of unpasteurised dairy or undercooked meat
localized disease also possible, depending on organs involved
up to 40% will report peripheral arthritis, sacroillitis and spondylititis (kinda sounds like ank spa), at worst can cause osteomyelitis and septic arthritis
endocraditis is a rare but serious complication, with a 5% mortality rate, outside of this it's rarely fatal
if the lungs are affected, cough and SOB can occur but hte CXR will be lcear
GBS has been reported to occur following infection
hepatic abscess and granulmoa in a few
also possible: epididymoorchitis and skin manifestations like erythema nodosum
ocular changes like uveitis, cataracts etc.
it really feels rheum flavoured.
Investigations
Tumblr media
hints on basic bloods - neutropaenia and anaemia, thromobcytopaenia in the case of hepatosplenomegaly or ITP
raised ESR and CRP, ALP and LDH
elevated LFTs in hepatomegaly
but diagnosis: blood cultures --> can take weeks as slow growing (due to aerosol transmission, must be handled in a biohazard hood as with the case report)
key really: serology is the most commonly used tool
PCR can also be used, including 16S
tissue also an option depending on organ affected
Management:
atypical cover: azith and doxy
several weeks of treatment usually - i.e. if uncomplicated, doxy for 6 weeks (however relapses are common on monotherapy, up to 40%), often rifampicin 600 mg daily for 6/52 is also added or gentamicin
where doxy can't be used, bactrim is the alternative
Tumblr media

I had anon back on Friday asking to translate this Séfi interview. I'm so sorry, but I accidentally deleted your ask in my drafts. :( However I eventually did it once again, you can find it here on my sideblog! I just don't want to spam my main with too much Séfi content lol, so I will post the other interview translations there too, Domi, Séfi and any other NT member I feel like doing! :)

Mitjili Napurrula, c.1945 - 2019
Community -  Haasts Bluff, NT
Language group -  Pintupi
Mitjili Napurrula was a Pintupi woman born at Haasts Bluff around 1945. Her family is one of great importance in the Aboriginal community of Papunya. Her mother is Tjunkayi Napaltjarri, a well known artist who was involved in the 'Minyma Tjukurrpa Project' and consequently became one of the principal women painters at Kintore. Her brother is the late chairman of Papunya Tula Artists, Turkey Tolson, who is also renowned for his artworks which are sought by investors all over the world.
Mitjili first began painting in 1993 for the Ikuntji Women's Centre. Mitjili paints the female side to her father's Dreaming, which is the story of the spear straightening ceremony as taught to her by her mother. Mitjili also paints the topography of her father's country Uwalki, with its pristine sand hills, shrubs and Watiya, which are the trees that traditionally provide wood for spears.
The most prominent theme in Mitjili's painting concerns the watiya tjuta (Acacia trees), which relate to men's business, and her recurring tree motif is based on patterns her mother used to draw in the sand. In Mitjili's paintings the tree emerges from beneath a veil of diluted paint, applied using the dot-dot technique, giving the impression of solid colour.
