q!Jaiden being a shapeshifter but not knowing or realizing.

She always has wings though.

Just sometimes when listening to someone but paying attention to something else, her ears may change to cat like to hear both properly. She doesn't realize. And no one has actually pointed it out when it happens,,,yet.

Not noticing during her 2 week stay with the Cucuruchos, that her feet have changed to be paws like theirs. Only noticing it with a brief "huh, I guess thats a thing now" and moves on without thinking about how tf that occured.

I dont really know how go describe my specific thoughts for shapeshifter/chimera q!Jaiden. But yes, love. Let her be a funky creature that doesnt realize how much of a creature she is.

Or maybe she's fully aware of her shapeshifting abilities, but since no one has asked she just doesnt say anything. Similar to how in canon no one really asked if she was anything other than human till relatively recently. Imagine her shifting into a creature similar to a nightmarestalker, cause she thinks they look cool, and everyone is just freaking out about this strange winged wolf monster, she'd just be giggling in her head causing mischief like that.

when most people get back and are excited to meet the other eggs, Empanada walks away after greeting most of the islanders and rest behind a tree, "too much right?" Jaiden was above one of the branches and the lil kid cheers up seeing one of her moms. Jaiden uncurls her tail from the branch letting it go limp so Em can climb it up to rest with her on the branch

Em sitting on Jaiden's lap, quietly observing the other residents with her. She starts dozing off as Jaiden starts humming a song(its definitely a miku song, lmao). Jaiden looking at the little dragon fondly,,,deep inside feeling sad, missing Bobby,,,,but looking at Em with a soft smile whispering "I'll never foget the past,,,,but a new start,,yeah. I think I can handle this", kissing the top of her head and leans back against the tree soaking in the rays of sun that make it through the leaves.

Baghera fiddled with her sword as she waited to be summoned. Today she was officially becoming a knight, assigned to the Prince of Parrots and the king's advisor themself! She'd never met the royal, they had a tendency to blend in, to hide away from most, or even to simply wander off and explore the country in plain clothes, rumored to have mastery of the scythe and enjoy risks. Head snapping out of thought to attention when she hears a guard call her name, taking a deep breath she approaches the door.

The guards open them and she enters the throne room. On an imposing throne sat the golden shark king Foolish, above a shadow figure sat on top of the throne, to the side sat the known royal siblings Roier and Leo(a young dragon). A rather small dragon sits on Roier's lap, Pepito. Running around were 3 more dragons Bobby, Richarlyson, and Empanada, following them was Prince Roier's husband, the royal archivist and investigator Cellbit.

Baghera approaches the throne, bowing to her king, flaring her similarly golden wings slightly. Lifting her eyes to see the king smirk before the serious air around the man cracks and he starts laughing. Telling to raise her head, no need to bow. Hesitantly she relaxes her stance and introduces herself as the knight apprentice assigned to the POP. Upon saying that she sees the shadow shift, wings with hues of blue and purple being revealed before the familiar sound of a wing beat sounds off.

The shadowed figure landing directly in front of her, she feels her face warm. Looking at the Prince, large wings framing their body, tail calmly swishing behind them, cat ears flicking about with anticipation, clearly defined muscles, oddly styled yet beautiful blue hair. The person, who she was 100% going to bet is the Prince of parrots, was the most gorgeous person she'd ever laid eyes on. The prince looks at her, with vibrant purple eyes and white pupils, and smiles softly. Baghera, before she can think, says “you are the most gorgeous person I have ever had the pleasure of laying my eyes on. I can't wait to get to know you better”. Gathering some baffled looks, prince Roier off on the side clearly covering his laughs.

Coughing, and sticking her hand out, “Salut mon prince, I am knight apprentice Baghera.”

The prince shakes their head, blushing, takes her hand, “Hello Dame Baghera. I am Jaiden, Prince of Parrots” leaning closer to the duck knight and whispering “I can't wait to get to know you too”, pulling away with a wink.

Q!Baghera and q!Jaiden in a nest, Pomme and Bobby between them, hands linked above their sleeping kids, Jaiden covering them all with her wing, all asleep except Baghera, who is just laying there admiring Jaiden, taking in all her details as she slowly drifts off as well.

Q!Roier, q!Cellbit, and Richas showing up in the morning and seeing the scene, Richas wiggling his way into the pile to join his siblings in the loving warmth. Roier and Cellbit smiling, Roier wrapping an arm around Cellbit and whispering something sweet drawing a light chuckle from his husband as they observe them, probably taking a picture for 'blackmail' but its actually just to preserve to moment. Cellbit going to read as Roier goes to the kitchen to start breakfast for them all.

At an event Jaiden walking a bit away from all the noise, a few of the dragonlings trail after her (Tallulah, Chayanne, Leo, and Pomme) they all find a nice quieter place. They all put down signs asking if shes okay, she just nods and quickly puts down a sign of her own "sorry little ones, it was just getting really loud and I needed to be away for a bit"

They all nod in understanding, but Chayanne is slightly confused putting another sign "why aren't you talking Tia?"

Getting a nudge from Tallulah and a look that practically screams *don't be rude*. Jaiden rubs the back of her neck, letting out a soundless giggle, putting a sign "Don't worry. Its just sometimes if I'm overwhelmed and/or overstimulated, talking becomes very difficult."

Getting another round of nods, and Leo jump spinning.

They sit there quietly for a few moments watching the clouds together before Tallulah and Pomme both pull out their flower backpacks in silent agreement, queitly handing books to Leo and Chayanne, the dragonlings all agree as Jaiden is lost staring at the sky.

Shocking slightly when she feels multiple small hands in her hair, turning slightly to see all 4 doing something with her hair, making a curious hum. Chayanne takes out a book the quickest and hands it to her, reading "Tia Jaiden, relax, we're gonna make your hair even prettier! Here's some flowers, you can make some flower crowns as we work!"

So the 4 of them work to braid her hair, weaving flowers in between strands making intricate designs as she makes 6 flower crowns. 2 purple/pink(Lullah and Leo), one orange/yellow(Chay), one light blue/red(Pomme), one dark/light blue(Bobby RIP), and one solid purple(herself).

Baghera being curious about where the eggs went and finding them all sitting around Jaiden who's hair is braided and them all with flower crowns, talking to eachother with signs and books. Sneakily taking a picture of the cute scene and making copies for the others.

I am rambling.

Me; Q!Jaiden is my favorite.

Also me; lets put her through an emotional blender.

She's gonna wake up alone, either in a place she doesnt know or still on that damned island.

She's gonna learn no one was like actually worried about where she is, only questioning once or twice. Expect for the eggs, Em consistently worried, Pomme saying she misses her.

Speaking of eggs. Having a new daughter. Whos already down to one life. Who she has no way to protect, again. The emotional turmoil that even having a new kid will cause her, because she is still hurting from Bobby's death.

Partnered with someone who hates the creature she cares for, the creature that she knows is manipulating her but treats her kindly.

The creature, Cucurucho, whos been sorta publicly replaced with the Rabbits, that shows up even less than before.

Back to the no way to protect. If anyone helps her, she'll go back to feeling like a burden, to that feeling of needing to repay to not be a burden.

The 'broken' flightless bird.

In actuality; its a 50/50 shot of "dramatic roleplay return" and "highly uneventful, just simply comes back". But I like dramatic angst and letting my thoughts run wild.

Day 5; roses

Meant for roses, but also fitting for prev day of grief

Not very put together fic, thoughts, ramble? ⬇️ @mcyt-yuri-week

qBaghera going to the rose field she found, laboring for days and nights to make a homey little place. Its not perfect, its not exactly as Jaiden built months ago in that special field filled with memories of her lost son. But, she thinks Jaiden will appreciate the attempt at familiarity.

Gathering things that remind her of Jaiden to fill a room in the house, falling asleep in a bed of rose petals,,,holding back tears thinking of her still missing love. For the first night since her return from purgatory, months later than all the other islanders, no nightmare of the hellscape or of her past,,just a dream of longing for her rose adorned partner, for Jaiden to be found and to hold her in her arms.

Over 80 days, and still no sign of where she went, she wasn't on purgatory with her and Cellbit, at least she doesnt think she was, and the federation hasn't said anything, hell none of her fellow islanders have said anything.

Waking with a sigh, Baghera gets back to work making the rose field similar to the distant Bobby Fields, only going to spawn for quest to gain enough money to buy a warp, naming it "Jaiden's field".

Okay, so I keep forgetting to rework this to be an actual fic (I still will, but y'all get to have the rough draft✨). Originally discord messages back in November.

I figured this sorta fits day 4 grief. @mcyt-yuri-week

Jaiden actually starts crying the first time Em chirps/meows at her. Like to the point she quickly messages one of the other moms to come over. She shuffles back putting distance between herself and her daughter, hand over her mouth trying not to sob cause it's all too much,,,Tina and Bagi showing up, Bagi immediately goes to console their confused daughter while Tina goes to Jaiden to help her calm down

Tina helping Jaiden settle down, Tina sitting beside her and keeping an arm around her. Little Em softly approaches, ready to apologize for upsetting her mama. Jaiden takes a deep breath, shakily letting it out, patting next to her for Em to sit. She tries to hand Jaiden the apology, but Jaiden just ruffles her hair and tells her it's okay that she has nothing to be sorry for. "You're okay Em, I'm the one that should apologize...it's just" taking another deep breath, "you just reminded me of someone,,,I know you're mama Bagi told you of my son Bobby right?" Getting a little nod from Empanada. "Well,,,, you're little chirps reminded me of when he first chirped to me too. I- it just tugged at my heart a bit y'know?"

She leans over and gently kisses Em's head. Tina rubs at her shoulder, and Bagi sits with them with a thoughtful look. "I promise you Em, I'll work on my reactions,,,I know it must hurt for one of your moms to react like that. But I do love you"

Em looks up into Jaiden's eyes, there's still a stray tear, with a head tilt and a grabby hand Jaiden lowers her head. Em wipes the tear and mrrps, drawing a sad little laugh from Jaiden. Em quickly writes "its okay mama, I can tell you miss him alot...Could you tell me stories of him? I think that'd be good for both of us!" Jaiden smiling softly as she reads it and nods "yeah,,i think that'd be a good idea"

She stands and offers her arms to Em, who quickly climbs into her hold. Tina and Bagi look at each other than at Jaiden, not knowing what to do, if she wants to be with Em alone or not. Jaiden looks over to them silently asking them to stay, Tina jumps up and is by her side immediately wrapping her arm back around her, Bagi nods still with a thoughtful look and takes Tina's hand. Walking to Jaiden's couch. Jaiden with Em sit in the middle, Tina and Bagi sit on either side of her. Bagi hesitantly puts an arm around Jaiden in a comforting manner, getting a very quiet chirp of gratitude in response. With another deep breath, Jaiden starts telling tales of Bobby for the 3 of them to hear

in the middles of a story, with sleep heavy eyes Em looks up to her mama, seeing the proud yet sad smile. Messily writing "he sounds so cool, i wish i coulda met him".

Jaiden chuckles a bit "yeah,,i wish you could've met him too, even if he would've thrown a fit about having another sibling", she looks at the sleepy dragonling "hmm, I think that's enough stories for today sweetheart, bed time?"

She scratches Em's chin making her purr slightly and Em nods. Tina and Bagi stand, stretching from sitting for so long, yet again not really knowing what to do. Jaiden softly asking if they want to spend the night. Getting a stammered "sure" from them both, both thinking she meant just like. Sleeping on the couch or something. But when Jaiden looks at them from the stairs, chirping something that they know means 'follow?' they do. Jaiden bringing them all to her nest, which shocks Bagi,,,not even 4 weeks ago she and Jaiden did not trust each other at all,,,and now the avian is inviting her into her nest. Nest are like sacred for avians, a safe place you'd never allow those you don't love in some form into. Jaiden laying Em down, Tina lays down too looking up to Bagi yet again hesitating. Jaiden stands and moves close to Bagi, clearly very emotionally exhausted, Jaiden nudging her and purring lightly. Bagi turning to her whispering "are you sure?,,,that you want me in your nest?”

Jaiden just grabs her hand and drags the woman into the nest. Jaiden curling around Bagi, arm over her waist reaching over and holding Em's tiny hand, spreading her wing over Bagi Em and Tina. Tina giggling quietly at the bewildered look on Bagi's face, especially when Jaiden cuddles closer and starts purring and clearly already asleep, Tina reaching over Em to take one of Bagi's hand smiling softly at her girlfriend and tells her to sleep. Bagi lays awake for a little while, thinking of the event that lead to her being held by the avian in her nest,,muttering under her breath before falling asleep herself "maybe,,maybe I'll hear her out about that bear,,,we could put our differences aside" unconsciously her tail wraps around Jaiden's,,,,,then in her head "shit- fuck. I am too gay for this, i. Do i have a crush on Jaiden too??????" But falls asleep being held by the avian, holding her girlfriends hand, and between them is their daughter

Bagi waking up first despite being the last to sleep. Panicking internally at how Jaiden is still cuddled against her, holding her somehow closer and purring in her sleep, and subconsciously she too was purring. Looking up, seeing Baghera at the table, sipping on a drink. Baghera looks over and sees the panicked Bagi, who is now even more panicked because 'that's Jaiden's girlfriend, I'm in her girlfriend's nest and cuddling her wtf. I'm dead', stammering out “i- i am sor-”

Baghera cuts her off with a shush and soft laughter. Whispering at her quietly "yeah, mon oiseau is quite a heavy sleeper and really likes cuddles, especially if she's emotionally exhausted. You're stuck there till she wakes. She will whine if you try to leave."

Bagi gulps. Accepting her fate, but is just, so confused

This was supposed to be a small birdduo/lovebird drabble,,,,,it is now over 500 words and I kinda want to continue it/add it to my ao3 collection.

Anywho, onto the thing! ⬇️

Waking in their shared nest, Jaiden yawns and tries stretching the sleepiness away. Extending her wings as she does, fluttering them a bit, her tail swaying as well.

Looking around, she spots Baghera sitting on the ground messing with her backpacks. She lets out a small mrrp to catch the duck's attention.

Baghera turns at the sound, “ah, Bonjour ma chérie! I was just getting ready to explore with Pomme. Do you want to come with us?”

“No…thanks though” Jaiden quietly chirps in avian.

“Okay. Well, message me if you need anything or if you change your mind when you wake up a bit more.” Baghera leans into the nest and softly kisses Jaiden's cheek.

She stands, grabbing her bags and opens the door. Turning back to look at Jaiden, “À plus, mon colibri!” and off she goes.

Shortly after Baghera's departure Jaiden leaves the nest. Still rubbing the sleep from her eyes she shivers slightly.

‘hmm, guess it's going to be a jacket day’, she thinks to herself as she goes to the closet.

Opening it and spotting one of Baghera's gray sweaters, she quickly grabs it, chuckling softly to herself. Putting it on, struggling a bit to find the slits on the back and to fit her wings through them. Straightening a few feathers and taking out her warpstone, nodding at herself ready to head out.

The purple particles fade around her as she arrives in ‘girl village’. Spotting Foolish and Leo chatting with Tina, Bagi, and Em. Foolish looks over and they wave to each other at the same time, making them both laugh as she walks over. She greets them all and asks whats up, sparking Foolish and Tina to start rambling about the latest drama, Bagi cutting in every once in a while to add her thoughts on whatever is being said.

Em looks over at Leo then back towards her mama, then back to Leo. Leo does the same, they nod to each other and walk a bit away to sign to each other without their parents seeing. Jaiden looks over to see them shaking tiny clawed paws seemingly reaching some sort of agreement.

Jaiden crouches down as Em walks to her curling her tail in front of her legs, the little dragon having a determined look on her face, so she wants to be at the same level as her new daughter.

Stopping to make sure all the adults could see what she's about to write on a sign, placing

“Hey mama Jaiden.

Isn't that Tia Baghera's sweater?

:3”

Foolish, Tina, and Bagi immediately read it. And collectively point out ‘yeah, isn't that Baghera's?’ and start to ask about it.

Jaiden flustered, her feathers puffing up a bit, tail flicking around, stuttering out “I have no clue what you're talking about, anyways- um” trying to quickly change topics, “Hey Foolish what's your next build plan?”

Behind the shark-totem, Leo falls over with a roaring laughter and Em lets out little chirping giggles. Foolish smirks at what the dragonlings just did, mentally noting to tease Jaiden about it later, but starts talking about his next build plan.

Bagi covers her mouth suppressing a small laugh at Jaidens reaction, taking out a book to write it down. The moment her pen touches paper, she sees Jaiden's ears change from pointed elf-like to something similar to a cats, one facing Foolish and the kids nodding along to what he says, the other towards her twitching slightly whenever she starts to write. She notes this down too.

Q!Baghera sitting on one of the newly built walls of her castle, holding a warm mug of coffee. The sun is rising, she feels someone approaching from the left of her and looks over. Q!Jaiden wrapped in a big blanket, not use to the cold, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. The first rays of the rising sun shine off her, she smiles softly at the beautiful avian. Jaiden sits next to her, wrapping part of the blanket around her. Jaiden murmurs out a "Good morning" a quiet yawn between the words, leaning over and leaving a small kiss on Baghera's cheek. Jaiden rest her head on her shoulder, both content to watch the sun rise.

Had a silly shower thought so i shall share (the thought is actually just the last sentence)

Lil triple drabble below

qJaiden has accepted death. Really she has, as she watches the timer click down. Seeing the sunset in the horizon, closing her eyes. Accepting. As an intense wave of heat blows against her and it all goes blank and silent. Hearing the faint sound that she knows is her kids. But also talking? A distorted voice of someone familiar and one very unfamiliar. Silence overtakes her again.

Startling awake in the vibrant purple room, the ominous music quieter than it use to. Looking around so confused. Its the chaos entity room under Cellbit's castle, but it's been warped.

How'd she get there? What the hell happened?

Clear evidence of an earthquake from the changes of the room. She stands and calls out

"hey! Anyone here? What happened? How am I here?" Pausing and quietly "....Jacob? ...You there bud?"

Suddenly the music gets louder, and the room seemingly glows. A flash of a familiar form appears, Lady luck has shown themself. Another flash, an odd swirl of color, and an entity appears, an unknown state of matter then can be described as a liquid flame forms by lady luck.

"Jaiden! Been awhile." Jacob says folding his multiple sets of wings.

The flame like creature also says something, but she can't understand.

Tilting her head, "..I thought I died? How am I here? Jacob did you twist my luck our something???"

He laughs, fluttering his wings a bit "Well, I couldnt let my best friend and loyal devotee die now could I? No. But I didnt do it alone. It appears you've devoted yourself to another deity?"

The flame grumbles

"Entity? Whatever. Point is. We both brought you back, we worked surprisingly well together to get you"

Jaiden nods along, but tilts her head again. "How?"

Such a simple question

The flame thing and Jacob gravitate closer together, their voices seemingly merging

"you see. Chaos and Luck arent all that different"
