hey uh… sorry for being gone so long i had a LOT of shit to do and im very weak so sacrificing my sleeping hours is unadvisable and detrimental to me. so i have a plan to read in a lot and then queue the posts to 1 every three days or so, to try and keep some consistency… idk if itll work well though, so well see.

also! i have the rest of the books, so i dont have an excuse not to finish this anymore. lets see how it goes. hopefully i dont abandon this.

anyway.

chapter 10, according to my calculations, around the first quarter of the way through.

we start out with our darling mare, here, thinking about how theres nuance to the red/silver division and shes right in the middle of it, which is a great way for me to bring up something that ive wondered and i think i havent rambled about yet.

is mare really the first red that differs from the norm, like, ever? because that sounds unlikely. theres mentions of other kingdoms in this book, and even then, kingdoms are usually big. whos to say there arent any other powerful reds hiding because they knew as soon as they found out, theyd be persecuted for being different, even if they arent at fault. or hell, how about a silver with no powers? has that ever happened? i bet their families would try to hide their existence from the rest of the world or outright execute them. i dont know which ones worse. maybe theyd be disowned and sent to live with the reds. all of these are great book worthy ideas as well.

i have the feeling that there might be more reds out there with powers too, and the story will head that way. for all i know the scarlet guard could be precisely this! maybe a new generation is born with powers through evolution, because it hasnt been explained yet if in this universe theres always been reds and silvers or if this was the product of evolution or even of genetic alterations. theres so much to talk about here, like, what if a silver and a red have kids? what are they like? are they powerful reds or powerless silvers? only reds or silvers? can they even have children together? is mare secretly the product of one such union? who knows. not me, thats for sure.

mare attempts to get into character here. also- is mareena pronounced as mare-ena or marina? cals joke about mare being a good nickname hint towards the former, but who knows, maybe this is a heavily debated topic in the fandom. whats the general consensus, here? comments are appreciated. well, back on the story, mareena seems to be a cold unimpressionable girl, for mare.

people are talking about her, and tiberias (is it ty-berias or tee-berias?) and elara stand above everyone else. as our girl here said “To look powerful is to be powerful.”

cal is seems displeased and maven absolutely pissed. damn. these two seem interesting, but i sense their dynamic is gonna be one of those “noble and kind older brother, resentful and selfish younger brother” which hm. i dont know if i like that. but i dont wanna be cynical, maybe this will better than just that.

“At least I won’t have to deal with a good liar.”

is anyone else smelling that? its the wonderful scent of a good roast.

king tiberias anounces this queenstrial brought more than a future queen and tells us more about her “origin story” , where we learn that ethan titanos was killed by lakelander spies. i dont recall who they were though… >:/

the king and queen make a big show to, as mare kindly puts “slip a Red girl into a crown without anyone noticing”, which yeah, you gotta take measures because people are sure to complain about it. im sure they still will even with this whole sob story.

props to miss aveyard for writing future queen evangeline as having horrible fashion, pretty accurate to irl rich people. what the fuck is a “dress of interlocked metal rings”??? im picturing it and it sucks, sorry.

hdjfkgk ofc the king says he will “atone for [his] ignorance” bitch you people hate reds, stop clowning.

evangeline punching air mentally rn. girl just wanted that calore ass (its funny bc calore means hot get it. get i-)

maven proposes as scripted and mare has a short moment of consideration. who would she have chosen if things were different? kilorn, obviously. i want to point out maven seems to be kinder but idk it could be his act.

cal gives his gentle king™ speech and obviously chooses evangeline. also this girls has some azula vibes im telling you. maybe that is her whole thing. i just hope hes bullies her brother too because fucking ptolemus??

she radiates the same evilness as queen elara, but i wish she could be like a subversion of that trope. evil step-mom and now evil technically-step-sister. what if they become besties instead. would be wild right.

on another not im still wondering if shes genuinely into cal or if shes more of power-hungry #girlboss. maybe its both.

nvm evangeline fucking hates her i dont think this is anything short of a potential slowass burn friendship. mare also hates evangeline. sigh. i know this was written back in 2015 but i can dream.

as expected, they bring back the scarlet guard issue. something something we want to breed the most powerful children possible to keep our power over the reds and other kingdom, especially now that there are some rebellious reds out there against us.

damn i wish we could see what farley was up to. lowkey really liked her.

maven speaks to her reassuring- cool, nice to seem him warm up -but mares too preoccupied feeling guilty about having a great feast while her family likely wont be having a good meal. holy shit gisa was supposed to work to get them out from the stilts… they are probably worse off now. they dont even know that she is supposedly never going back home. her guilt is completely understandable.

oh- she was getting drunk to cope- yeah probably for the best that maven stepped in. also he apparently was a dick because he wanted to choose his wife. i mean, kinda understandable. and hes not one of the worst people mares had the displeasure to face so far. ill stay on alert for any potential friendship.

he didnt even have a girl in mind but he still wouldve liked to have that choice- i kinda resonate with this so he gets extra points. but obviously mares irritated because she doesnt get the luxury of choice. or anything, really. she never has. understandable, girl, vent all that shit before it consumes you. but also. maybe. not. in public.

aw damn, maven is the unseen brother, hes jealous but also… lonely. i think. yeah, poor kid. i mean hes still rich though.

lets talk about that though. mare rolling her eyes out at every person here complaining is such a mood. yeah their all rich and privileged what have you got to complain about bitch. but yeeeees i knooooow that they have their other, non-money-related problems. its just kinda funny. this girl has suffered hunger, trauma and constant distress and shes listening to a prince complain about not getting to choose who his wife will be.

ok thats it for now. ill try to read more often, or at least have some chapters queued.

“Alright Scarlet, you’re doing fine, just breathe... you’re almost fully dilated...” Cassandra said to her cousin. Pennywise was getting tired from being down on his knees for so long, but he had to, just to get this whole labor over with. Papawise was enjoying the show obviously. “Quit staring at my wife’s... uh... dilated area!” Pennywise snapped. “I’m not staring at her trunk, I’m staring at the baby, but it wasn’t out yet, so I had to have a closer look.” Papawise said with a smirk. Aquarius had enough with Papawise’s ways, so she used her leg that Papawise was holding and kicked him in the face. “OW...” Papawise exclaimed, which cause him to let go of her leg. “Scarlet! For crying out loud!” Cassandra snapped. “GET THAT SICKO OUT OF HERE!” Aquarius roared in anger and pain. 

Pennywise noticed that Aquarius was crying, not just in pain, but for the karma she is receiving. So he grew his extra arm; leftover from his spider form, just so he can painfully crawl over to his wife. “Star--ow OUCH--foots asleep--FOOTS ASLEEP.” Aquarius was actually laughing at Pennywise crawling funnily. Pennywise smiled from hearing her laughing, even if she’s in pain. “Star my love... I know this whole thing hurts; I can see that 3 inches dilated ago. But you’re stronger than I’ve ever known, you can do this... Prove to the world that you’re stronger than any male can handle.” Pennywise encouraged. “Thanks for the support, Penny... I love--YOU.” Aquarius screamed in pain. Pennywise got back to his position with Papawise recovering from his broken nose attempt, being more serious this time. “Alright cuz, it’s time to do some pushes... Get ready to push...” Scarlet ordered as she was being more prepared for the delivery.

Meanwhile at Camp Crystal Lake, Archie was sleeping with tears running down his cheeks, as he was crying in his sleep. When he woke up from a depressing dream, he walked over to the kitchen counter for a glass of water. Then he heard a bathroom door open; it was MJ, exiting the bathroom. She was going to go back to bed until she noticed Archie. “Hi Archie... I’ve been hearing you crying in your sleep as I was on my way to the bathroom; did you have a bad dream?” MJ asked. Archie sniffed before he nodded. “Aww... Come here...” MJ said as she opened her arms. Archie cling to her as he was hugging her like as if she was his mom. “There there, it’s alright... It’s all over now... Let’s talk about that dream of yours, it’s what I do with my parents when I was upset.” MJ offered.

Archie was explaining how he was nervous about having a baby in the house, and how he might not get the same amount of love from his parents. “I understand... I’ve been there... My disowned half-sister was pregnant four times, but from the first time, I feel like I was not getting the same amount of love from my parents; from all the changes in the house, and how some of the pictures of me were removed to replace it with the picture of my first nephew...” MJ explained. “Did your parents know this was affecting you?” Archie asked. “Clear as rain... But they still love me and that they have a reason to have some of the pictures removed... As I got older, including my nephew, I find that being an aunt is the most rewarding... Just you wait Archie, someday when your sibling is older, he or she will look up to you, and then you’ll get about the same attention as the baby will.” MJ assures. Archie smiled after hearing all that. “Thanks for taking the time to listen to my thoughts.” Archie thanked. “Anytime son...” MJ said before she kissed his forehead. “I think I’ll go back to my sleeping bag now.” Archie said, as he got off from the kitchen chair and walked over to his sleeping bag. “Pleasant dreams sweetie.” MJ said quietly before she walked back to her room to sleep with her husband.

After the past eight hours, Aquarius has been approving. “I can see the head, keep pushing cuz’.” Cassandra cheered. “Would you like to touch it, Penny?” Cassandra turned to Pennywise with a smile. “Uh... I better not.” Pennywise answered. “I’LL TOUCH IT.” Papawise said excitedly. “No, you will not!” Pennywise snapped. “Come on Scarlet, push hard!” Cassandra coached. 

Aquarius was giving the toughest push she could, the pain was so unbearable; it felt like a watermelon trying to go through a doughnut-hole horizontally. After Aquarius did a large final push, she screamed and roared in pain. The last thing she heard was the baby’s cries. “It’s a GIRL.” Cassandra announced. Pennywise was amazed, he crawled towards his wife and kissed her passionately. “We’ve finally got ourselves a daughter Aquarius... What do you think about that?” Pennywise asked while dabbing a cool wet cloth on her forehead. “...I feel... so blessed...” Aquarius sighed in relief and pleasure.

While Cassandra cleans the baby, both Pennywise and Papawise carried Aquarius to her bedroom to rest; but not before she gets to hold her new daughter. Cassandra came in with the baby all wrapped up like a burrito and pass it down to Aquarius. “She’s very beautiful cuz’. I couldn’t help but cry.” Cassandra complimented. When Aquarius opened the swaddle a little to see the baby’s face, she is indeed beautiful; she has red blush on her cheeks, full red lips like her daddy, pink eye-shadow, Blue on the eyebrows, and gorgeous pink curly hair. “Oh Penny... She’s beautiful...” Aquarius said as she teared up. “She is precious, like candy...” Pennywise chuckled softly. “Which is exactly why I wanted to name our little gumdrop Kandy.” Aquarius announced before Pennywise made an excited gasp. “Can we also call her Gumdrop? you know, as her middle name.” Pennywise asked. Aquarius smirked, until she realize that ‘Kandy Gumdrop’ had a good ringtone to it. “Absolutely, Kandy Gumdrop Gray it is then.” Aquarius agreed. Then Pennywise and Aquarius kissed one last time... for now.

“Would you like to hold her, love?” Aquarius then asked. Pennywise nearly gasped. “I--I... I’d love to...” Pennywise said, as he was nearly flabbergasted. So Pennywise picked up his daughter and held her in his arms, looking down on her with admiration. Then he noticed that Kandy was opening her one eye before the other. “Hiya Kandy... I’m your daddy-wise, yes I am, and you’re my little Kandy Gumdrop.” Pennywise cooed with a popping sound at the end. Kandy made a cute little smile before she falls asleep again. “She’s so cute...” Pennywise said before he kissed his daughter by the forehead. “You look cute too, Penny. I love seeing you holding a baby in your arms.” Aquarius said. “Just like when Archie was born... Speaking of Archie, should we give the Voorhees a call?” Pennywise asked. Aquarius nodded to Pennywise’s question, since she was too tired from making a painful delivery. “You may have some rest, love, while I look over the baby.” Pennywise insisted before he kissed his wife again.

It was morning, and Archie was still very tired from the previous night. The sleep was disturbed when the phone rang. MJ came out with her bedhead hair and in her sleeping-coat. “Voorhees’s Residence.” MJ said in a tired tone. “Hello Pennywise. How’s Aquarius doing?” Archie slowly woke up after hearing his dad’s name. So he got up and walked towards MJ. “Oh, Archie is up now, would you like to speak to him?... Okay, here he is.” MJ said before she passed the phone down to Archie.

“Hi dad, how are you and mom?” Archie asked.

“Just wonderful son, how about you?” Pennywise asked.

“Everything was great, I had a great time.” Archie answered.

“That’s great son, and guess what? You have a baby sister!” Pennywise exclaimed. 

Archie was surprised, he made a big grin. “A... baby sister, really? When can I see her?” Archie asked.

“Well, how about after lunch? your mom needed some rest before she can see anybody.” Pennywise suggested. 

“Okay dad... I can’t wait to see you and mom, and my little sister. I love you.” Archie said.

“I love you too son, I’ll send your love to your mother, okay?” Pennywise replied. 

“Okay dad, I’ll see you later.” Archie responded. 

After Archie was done talking to his dad, he turned to MJ. “My mom’s got a baby girl; I’ve got a sister!” Archie exclaimed. MJ peeped with excitement. Which causes Jason to barge out quickly after hearing her peep; thinking that the sound of his wife’s peeps meant that she was in danger. “It’s alright, Jason. I was just excited, because Aquarius’s baby is finally born.” MJ explained. “And I’ve got a sister!” Archie added in. Jason pasted his hands on his cheeks before giving Archie a high-five. Then they heard a little girl voice. “What’s going on?” It was Malon. Archie walked over to her to give her a hug. “My mom had a baby, and it’s a girl!” Archie explained. Malon’s eyes popped wide open in surprise. “That means you have a little sister; just what you’ve wanted!” Malon cheered before she hugged Archie back.

MJ smiled before she hugged her husband. “With news like this, I think I’ll make us some pancakes for breakfast.” MJ suggested. The two kids twirled around with joy, not just for the pancakes, but for the birth of Archie’s new baby sister. What more could a little clown boy ask for?

Batman/P5 Crossover

-Sometime before Akechi but after Futaba or Haru

-Damian is sent to Tokyo to check it out for whatever reason (maybe they had a fight, or he’s going stir crazy, or he’s just the only one they can send at the time and didn't bother with all that "you're not old enough" business)

-Dami is younger than Futaba by a year or three or four

-He is baby

-He is transferred to Shujin as a child prodigy where he also immediately joins the "outcast" community because of his attitude and intelligence

-Talia goes too, manages to cut off all his communications with the Batfam, and is planning to take him home in a month whether he likes it or not

-For whatever reason, Batfam doesn't realize this??? (Like, either she's faking reports or they're too busy (think fight or chaos in Gotham scenario maybe???))

-Anyways, obviously Dami doesn't want this

-Somehow the Phantom Thieves hear about the situation

-Maybe he was assigned to shadow Makoto for a while, and they managed to overhear a phone conversation either to Talia or Dami trying to get in touch with the Batfam and nothing really working

-And eventually they outright see him fighting with his mother with him at some point (either in person or over a phone call) mentioning that she already disowned him, he's happy with his Father's family, and that he will head her family business over his dead body—and oh would you look at that, you already managed that, care to try again Mother?

-The PT's are understandably alarmed

-And learn her name from Damian (from Makoto maybe or someone else he bonded a little with) (MORGANA) (THEY GAVE HIM MONA FOR A DAY AND NOW THEY KNOW EVERYTHING FROM HIS MANY PETS TO HIS LEAST TO MOST FAVORITE SIBLINGS STARTING FROM TIM TO DICK TO HIS FAVORITE FOODS TO EVERYONE IN HIS FAMILY’S NAMES TO HOW STUPID HE FINDS EVERYONE AND WHY THEY'RE STUPID TO HIS FAVORITE MUSIC TO WHY ANIMALS ARE SUPERIOR TO HUMANS AND MONA’S LIKE OMG TMI BUT LOVED IT THERE BECAUSE HE WAS PAMPERED LIKE NO TOMORROW GOT ONLY THE BEST FOOD AND THE BEST BEDS AND TOYS THAT HE GOT TO TAKE WITH HIM BACK TO LEBLANC AND NOW AKIRA AND SOJIRO ARE LIKE DUDE WHY AND MONA’S LIKE IM KEEPING HIM THIS HUMAN IS GOOD SORRY AKIRA YOU’RE DEMOTED)

-The palace is basically a fortress full of assasin ninjas and clones

-Dunno what her keywords are tho

-Or her what her palace actually is

-Cognitive Bruce, Ra's, Damian, Dami clones, and Jason (maybe rest of batfam??? Idk)

-Long story short, the traps are so assassin-y that they need someone who knows the actual Talia because egads, this is the closest they have all come to actually dying

-And they didn't really want to do it and were just gonna power through

-But Dami manages to find out and get in and of course uses his background to help out whether they like it or not

(-he's slightly off put by Joker's name, but then decides to just solely call Gotham!Joker "The Clown")

-At some point they are captured by the Shadow Talia who is decked out in super fancy traditional Arab clothing and probably every conceivable hidden weapon known to man

-Talia says Damian won't and can't ever change from who he "is meant to be", referring to him as her Alexander and basically brutally addresses all of his insecurities concerning the batfam and people and society in general

-And all this is kinda killing him cause he still loves Talia despite the fact that she killed him and had a violent citywide custody battle with Batman but he also loves the batfam too even if he would absolutely never admit it (except to maybe Grayson)

-Joker does his emotional kick-start thing and/or Dami is like Makoto and just gets so mad he triggers it himself, but either way, lo and behold, Damian is now a persona user, usurping Futaba's place as the baby of the team

-The outfit is kinda inspired by his future adult league outfit with the top and bottom and gold jewelry, but has a raggedy cloak with dull gold edges, a Robin mask and gauntlets, and his main weapons are batarang-sword hybrids

---acknowledging his past and moving on with his present

-Persona: Aladdin, Tsun Zu, Ali Baba, somone else???? Need ideas plz help

-Probably the fastest member of the group

-His small body makes his hits not as strong, but hoo boy can that kid move around

-Hits a lot and dodges most

-Most of his Persona abilities are physical and have high crit and/or are status affects

-Downside is he has not a lot of SP (compared to the rest of the group)

-And he has pretty good HP

-Those good ol' “superior genetics” have to be good for something after all

-Anyways they escape to find the treasure another day

-And Dami is all smug because HA you definitely can't stop me now

-And the PTs are just resigned to keeping an eye on the extremely competent snotty assassin/vigilante child

-They do like him though so it's not too bad (comes with learning all his darkest secrets via his mother and thought processes that tends to accompany watching someone at their lowest get a persona)

(-They do manage to temper him a bit and help him adjust better to actual society too that's nice)

-As such, they also know about Batman and Robin and his whoooole family. Both sides.

-Damian decided not to tell batfam because he does agree with the whole "most adults suck" mentality that the Phantom Thieves have; despite his deep, deep respect for his father and mother and Grayson, they all do kinda suck

-And he’s rather not get pulled out as he surely would if he told them

(-On a side note, he likes Sojiro

-The man gives him coffee, curry, and leaves him mostly to his own devices

-Instant win)

-He is dubbed "Mockingbird" apon return to the metaverse because of his freaky talented vocal skills in mimicking anyone and everyone's voice

-Eventually, they beat Talia

-She doesn't publicly confess to all her sins unlike everyone else

-PTs don't realize it worked until Damian came into school with a genuine smile on his face, and more relaxed than he'd been since he got there

-PTs are confused until Damian's like, this works out because hey, don't want to have several people assassinated and draw the entire freaking league to Tokyo

(-Which was probably why Talia didn't)

-They agree

-But she does break down to tears in Dami's arms and promise to ACTUALLY TALK CIVILLY with Bruce to try and make up for everything and try to fix up the league

-He stays for the rest of p5

-But steers all his reports very much away from the Phantom Thieves

-If anything, he downplays absolutely everything, and makes it seem like it's nothing super big but he's gonna stay a while to keep and eye out because y'alls are busy and I like it here and I haven't gotten expelled so there

-The PTs like to add funny stuff on there just to see if they’ll notice

-Like, Akira likes to have Dami describe his day in excruciating detail. Like, recounting the entirety of his nine or so months to Sae during police interrogation, excruciating

-Mona is pushing for the shiny stuff

-Yusuke just likes to put in bursts of randomness (Dami once mentioned that an acquaintance made another acquaintance T-pose in a church for art lol)

-Ann loves to rant about food

-Haru is always insisting on about feelings

-Ryuji likes to complain about everything and puts in ridiculous requests

-Futaba is just putting in every gen-z thing ever

-Makoto is actually responsible and tries to get him to talk about his progress in school and his social life

-And Akechi is absolutely nowhere near any of this and doesn’t know it exists

-When they have the Tokyo/Japan-wide calling card, Batfam sees it too because let's face it, that's totally the sorta thing that they would keep an eye out for even if he didn't look at the news in the entirety of the time Dami was in Tokyo

-And they send a message to Damian (the first actual communication they've had since before Talia) saying "WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON OVER THERE????"

-And with the entirety of the Phantom Thieves looking over his shoulder, Damian's just like "Chill dudes, everything's fiiiiiiiiiine"

-And they're like "UH WHAT PART OF THIS IS FINE????" because they've dug around a bit and found every news report, and oh hey, this isn't anywhere near as calm as Damian described and he’s being super OOC and what’s going on?!?!?!?!?!

-And Damian, being egged on by the most of the PTs, just sends a winky face

-Just

-😉

-And he's smug, because it's still chaos over there so they can't actually come get him and try to pull him out because he's being super ooc

-Which means he's free to do what he wants/needs in the meantime

-Cue the end of the game

-And Dami is going with them on their summer road trip and cackling because the batfam is scrambling to find him in Tokyo but lol nope he's in a van the Japanese government tried and fail to follow

-And he found all the trackers like, a year ago

-Every

-Single

-One

-They eventually track him down to Akira's house where they're calmly eating dinner (and they've been expecting this for the past week so Mona was keeping watch just so they could pull this off) and talking about how uneventful the school year was

-Cue mass confusion in the batfam

-As the PTs enjoy just confusing them so much

-By talking to Mona

-Talking normal then crazy then normal again

-And just generally being their normal selves lol

-They explain absolutely nothing beyond gushing about how much progress socially and academically he’s made (gotta embarrass the baby of the group somehow) and making sure that if Dami absolutely has to go home that he's able to stay in touch

(-Later, Damian forms his own hero persona outside of Batman and Robin)

(-He names it Mockingbird)

(-Batfam proceeds to have a brain aneurysm while the PTs dab their happy proud tears out of their eyes on their regularly scheduled tea time at the Wayne Manor)

(-Damian sends a private plane every week or two lol)

PLACE

A forest in the kingdom of Acullis

Scene 2

Sunset. In the forest. NYSTICA stops in her tracks, PANTING.

BUZZING wings approach. LEMIRA bumps into Nystica while she continues to catch her breath.

LEMIRA

(Yelps)What is a human doing here!? Would it kill ya to look where you’re going?

(Nystica refrains from arguing back and instead takes a good look at the fairy)

NYSTICA

Is this real? A fairy? A real fairy! Are you a fairy?

LEMIRA

Not just a fairy, I’m a pixie! Get it right, ok? A fairy could be a banshee, or a lepre (Pauses) What was that called again? Lechekon? Lapricorn?

NYSTICA

You mean leprechaun?

LEMIRA

Yeah whatever, that thing. Now tell me, what are you doing wandering in the forest looking like you’re chasing after a pot of gold?

NYSTICA

Couldn’t you have made a better analogy? Although, I’m surprised to meet a real fairy. My father would always tell me not to pursue stuff like this because it isn’t real bla bla bla! I mean magic exists, so fairies have to as well! Oh, magic.

(She looks down at the grass on her feet. Lemira puts her hand on Nystica’s shoulder.)

LEMIRA

Sounds like you’ve had it rough… Did you come to the forest to prove him wrong? Just so you know, I won’t be leaving this forest with you to prove anything. We pixies hide for a reason.

NYSTICA

I didn’t come here for that! I’m not a five-year-old, or a rebellious teenager. Rebellious, maybe. Just not a teenager. I came to this forest because I’m leaving my home, and that pathetic father of mine.

Lemira

Ooh! What did he do, what did he do? (Clasps hands together excitedly)

NYSTICA

(Looks back up at the fairy, narrowing her gaze)

Does this seem like some form of entertainment to you?

LEMIRA

Human business is quite funny, and unfortunate. So maybe.

NYSTICA

(Sighs) I’d probably feel the same if I were a fairy. Humans, or people like my dad specifically, are clowns unknowingly running their own circus. So, do you really want to know what my father did? I’d have to warn you that it’s quite ridiculous.

LEMIRA

Go on…

NYSTICA

My father told me that I either marry or he’ll disown me because apparently pursuing magic is a waste of time since I don’t have the same potential my late mother did. So, I chose to leave. I’m not too upset about having to leave, but it does frustrate me that not having the same potential as my mother is true.

LEMIRA

Quite the father you got there. Oh, but magic? I’m good at that! I might have just the spell to increase your potential, but may I see what you can do first?

NYSTICA

(Laughs awkwardly) To be exact I uh, I don’t think I have any potential at all.

LEMIRA

Oh silly, there’s no one out there with absolutely zero potential. Show me a simple spell, even something like a tiny spark would work.

NYSTICA

I can’t.

LEMIRA

What do you mean you can’t?

NYSTICA

No matter how hard I practice, I can’t use magic.

LEMIRA

Oh. Okay, wow. We can work with this. (Stretches arms and neck)

(NYSTICA watches the fairy prepare herself, she stands there anxiously, playing with the fabric of her torn up dress. A bright blue light then escapes LEMIRA’S palm and floats towards NYSTICA until it disappears.)

LEMIRA

I should’ve told you this earlier, but the chances of me succeeding may have been a bit slim. But even if it fails I’m sure nothing bad will happen!

(NYSTICA does not respond and catches a glimpse of her reflection on a nearby puddle.)

NYSTICA

Oh, is this me?

(She walks towards the puddle and kneels, staring at her own reflection fondly.)

LEMIRA

Uhm, hey you? How do you feel?

NYSTICA

(Muttering) Beautiful. So beautiful.

LEMIRA

Uh oh, I think I messed up on the spell. I must have made the human fall in love with herself! What am I going to do? Ah, guess I have no choice. Human lady, you’re coming with me to the fairy kingdom.

(LEMIRA attempts to tug NYSTICA but the noble is too fixated on her own appearance)

LEMIRA

Curses you humans, why do you have to be so big. You stay right here for a while and I’ll go bring a different fairy to break this spell.

(LEMIRA leaves.)
