i know that this is such an annoying take but there is NOTHING more satisfying to me than when old guys see me wearing one of my floyd or zeppelin shirts and think they’re SO smart when they ask me to name my favorite song and then i DO and not even THEY have heard careful with that axe eugene cause they’re too big of COWARDS to listen to ummagumma so now we both know that THEYRE the real fake fans and then they have to prostrate themselves to me like groveling pigs to order their iced half sweet vanilla americano

On this day in 1969, Pink Floyd released a double album which brought a Cambridge piece of slang (for sex) to a much wider audience! Ummagumma consisted of a live record, and one split into four, which each band member given free rein with their quarter. The cover has a good example of the Droste effect, with the pictures within pictures being subtly different. 🎧
