us latinos who clearly have never set foot outside of the us acting like the second-hand knowledge of [latin american country] they got from their granparents stories and youtube videos make them the perfect spokesperson about latin american issues 🙂

also another issue is that since not a lot of ppl here speak english, a lot of diaspora are conservative/liberal (speaking as a brazilian idk abt the others) and most gringos dont bother looking things up it just makes it easier for them to twist info and make shit up and foreigners just accept it (ik us brazilians tried it on jan 8th)

everything you said is 100% true, even the liberals/conservatives which also happens here in arg. and then us the small group of left winged latinos who speak english are seen as liars or just straight up called racists or shit just because we say things are not like they say lmao

just yesterday I saw a uslatina who sent the "cállate blanca" meme and said "you say this to me, a racialized woman!!!" to everyone who said argentinians are not naz1s and then I looked up her pics and she was literally lighter than me 💀

uslatinos refuse to listen to us and dont understand their views as just as ethnocentrist as the gringos views
